Panera Bread in Manteca

They were a little slow and mixed up our order but when it came it was pretty good. The bread is excellent. We had a buffalo chicken melted sandwich and a pizza sandwich and the pizza one was much better. The French onion soup was alright, certainly not a traditional one with cheese on top but the broth was similar. The chili was good. I have been to Panera before and had remembered it to be better but it wasnt bad

Get this one! Unfortunately I had an interesting experience at this Panera tonight! I love the seasonal Strawberry poppyseed salad. Only reason I go there honestly. Pulled up, placed My order and then was told that they ran out of pineapple for the strawberry 🍓 poppyseed salad. I Asked if they could just add extra strawberries in place of the pineapple or mandarin oranges? The employee in the windows response was “our general manager doesn’t allow us to do that.”? If we add extra strawberries, or Mandarin oranges, we will have to charge you for it ? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️I then asked if my salad was going to be discounted since I wasn’t getting 100% of the salad. I was told no discount they couldn’t do that. So I ordered my salad, pulled to the window and asked to speak to the manager just to make sure that this was correct, and yes, the manager Emiliano confirmed that, it’s Ophelia, the general manager’s policy” that they could not substitute strawberries for the shorted pineapples. He confirmed that they don’t substitute if they’re missing an ingredient and they don’t discount if an item is missing an ingredient. Kind of weird that your general manager expects 100% of the price for 90% of the product added my own pineapple and made it better. The salad good 😊 after I made it complete! #dobetterpanerabread

Second half of sandwiche Turkey BLT avocado! Salad was perfect! The other half of the sandwich was messed up and looked nothing like what I ordered! Used the drive through in Manteca,ca today 4th of July! Waited approximately 25 minutes in line! Most of the people Backed out and left!

I ordered the Mediterranean bowl and the arugula was missing. The bowl was thrown together and the ingredients were all push to one side. Looked a mess and half the bowl was missing. No respect for their job or customers. Im paying over $10 for this bowl and when complaining they could care less. After complaining they remade the bowl but only because of the missing ingredient. I find a piece of chicken on the top when the bowl comes with no chicken. As a vegetarian when ordering food that specifically doesnt come with meat I dont expect it to be there especially after the first mistake. Not only that they have the sprinkler system running all day long with water running down the street into the gutters. When letting them know they say well thats not my job and that side of the property isnt ours when its in the front of the entrance of the drive thru and further down by the drive thru menu... Ive never seen such lack of care from a panera bread. What a disappointment!

Selection is great. The pastrys look amazing! Food is fresh.Had to ask for salad dressing.Interior seating kinda blah, like a cafeteria back in 1970s.

Burnt bagel. All I could taste was the burnt cinnamon. It was awful. Why would you serve food this burnt.

The food is really good but the workers are super rude! I literally just tried to place an order for delivery on my phone through my Panera app. The system wasn’t working for some reason so I called the store to try and problem solve. The lady I spoke to was super short with me and spoke in a rude tone. Basically told me there was nothing she could do and then just hung up the phone on me! Super disappointed in her customer service, I was literally about to ask for her name but she hung up too fast. So whatever female worker is working right today at this time, it’s one of them. Even if she couldn’t help me with the system she didn’t have to hang up on me like that!

My experience at the Manteca Panera was terrible.They have lost me as a customer.I ordered online a salad, a sandwich and a cinnamon roll. When I got home, the cinnamon roll look like it was missing a part of it.I went back to the store with my receipt and the manager reluctantly exchanged it after accusing me of probably eating it!!!Very upsetting to be treated this way since I buy panera for lunch in modesto at least 4x a week. The Modesto employees have always been great!My time is valuable and gas is expensive in California.Did this manager really thought that I would partially eat the cinnamon roll to go all the way back to their store to get an extra piece of a roll?How absurd that would be!The personnel at the Panera Cafe in Manteca need to have serious training on how to treat customers appropriately.Someone with basic manners, etiquette would have never argued with the customer about a piece of a cinnamon roll.Panera, your company needs to invest time and resources on training your employees how to behave properly in this type of business.

Panera Bread has some of the best soufflé I have had. I love the Spinach and Artichoke Soufflé with a cup of Hazelnut Coffee. My wife ordered the Summer Corn Chowder and the Steak and Arugula half sandwich. The Chowder is great and the Steak and Arugula sandwich ....yummy. This Panera had all the pastries to choose from...usually by lunch time they are sold. This store has a great clean design and you can have a private conversation without talking real loud. I just love this location.

We both had the BBQ Chicken Salad. I was very please to see the BBQ Chicken Salad, which they recently brought back on menu. It was my favorite salad before they removed it. They were out of strawberries and baguettes but it was 6pm on a Sunday, and if you are going to run out of something Sunday at 6pm is fair. The staff we interacted with was very charming. The restaurant was clean, but the restrooms were out of paper towels.
