Tables were full and somewhat dirty. Order was incorrect - requested specific toppings removed from sandwich but came with it anyway. Ordered 2 French onion soups and neither came with croutons or Bread topping and were somewhat lukewarm not hot.Panera has been a favorite of ours but for $70 for dinner for 4 and orders being incorrect, we didn’t feel we got the value we paid for.

On 11/29 I came in and made a large bakery order last-minute for a retirement at my work. Despite being so impromptu, I was helped very efficiently by the nicest employee called Pam. She was very sweet and packed my order quickly. My card declined at 4 dollars, and although I ran home to grab my wallet, I came back to find that she and the manager David covered the difference already and were just waiting for me to get back!!! My morning was so stressful and even more so having to drive home, but Panera really made my day. I never write reviews like this but I am just so grateful for Pam and David and their excepcional service today 😁😁😁

Worst location ever! Had a blonde woman today who barely spoke English in their kitchen- she was rude and very condescending, never even smiled or acknowledged my daughter!!! People like her don’t belong in food service. My sandwich tasted awful, prices are too high for the portions. Staff here sucks. Will never return here, terrible experience.

First time at this Panera, Ive been to many as I enjoy their food even tho is pricey. Came for lunch. First time I see signs on tables that state they are reserve for two or more people that consumed and entree... ok I get they get busy and people do stick around for a while to chat, work or study. Most tables were occupied so I sit down on a booth reserved for two. Got my food, ate, had my laptop out taking advantage of my hour lunch and a few mins after finishing my food my plate got picked up then the rude manager Shaam comes over to tell me that table is reserved for two or more people, I try to explained I had just finished eating and that most areas were occupied when I got there. Instead of being understanding he raised his voice and stated today this is not a working station, today is a holiday and we are busy.... wow there were a couple of tables around me with people just chatting and having coffee, nothing said to them. One of them had been there before me. Im a consistent client of Panera at least every other week, I place large orders for my client events and never had I experience such awful treatment! If this place is by reserve seating only, then they should have a hostess seating people down. Never ever coming back to this location!!!!!

Look at in Woodbury, Irvine, this particular location is probably one of the largest with a high ceiling and plenty of seating. Very friendly staff always seems to have enough people working to help you out. 99% of the time I make my coffee from home because I perfected it but super clean water, but when I’m out and about I definitely enjoyed their coffee and I go to this particular location anytime I can help it during my travels. And I’m not just saying this because it’s close to home, it really is a large and clean and friendly place. Honestly, many of these locations are but this one seems to always be number one to me.

Today I went to Panera Bread. Normally I order Tomato Soup in a bowl, has creamy taste, but it was sold out. I ordered 10 Vegetable Soup in bread bowl for $8.99. To keep up with orders water added to the beans to increase their sales. I added Tobasco packet, to add flavor, made it spicy hot. The portion of soup is half the tomato soup. I end up eating the bread bowl to fill me up. Not worth a penny,

The quality and service have really slipped. The wild-rice chicken soup didn’t have wild rice in it, the teriyaki chicken bowl was meh, the baguette wasn’t warm and crunchy, and they didn’t give me any butter.But it was the only place open (the nearby sushi place and the other one are closed…. Perhaps covid related.People are in here to use the free wifi.(That’s worth at least one star)

I love their chicken soup it’s my favorite thing in the world I actually pulled over to make a special trip here because I saw it was close by.The payment options are easy to place your order, then your hand of the pager if you order can’t be immediately fulfilled your choices of sides for soup are plentifulbut I always opt for the Apple, chicken soup with an apple is pretty safe and is also super delicious but I’ve had many of their other offerings but I think the one thing I’m going to try is the new mango Yuzu citrus church lemonade!And the sandwich called “the spicy take “those are next on my list this place is very popular but they keep it clean and everybody was quite well prepared for a rush! Love this place for breakfast and lunch!

This location was favorable to me. Cool mall! Setting in Panera bread is casual and informal. I ordered squash bread soup with chips and a dessert cake. I would say this is a place for breakfast and supper. If you want something light, this is the place. I am a vegetarian and felt like I needed more wholesome choices in sandwiches and other categories.

I have been going to this panera for all of high school. Theyve changed the management recently where we have to order a meal in order to stay at the tables. My friend and I had ordered a meal, but after a few hours, a staff member came and kicked us out of our booth because we did not order within 60 minutes. This is super disappointing as panera was such a great place to study. Will not come again.

Threatened to kick me out for only buying a drink and not a full meal. I succumbed and bought a meal because I had nowhere else to go to study. Ive been going to Panera since high school-- this was the best place to get coffee and study. Never had an experience like this before but will likely not be coming back. Pretty sure it was also the manager who made my order. I Received my text that the food was ready while she was still preparing it. She never said one moment I’m still working on it..hello..thank you..your order is ready, nothing! She placed it on the counter while I was standing there and walked away before I even picked it up. Horrible quality the sandwich was thrown together with some toppings spilling out and one not added. Service quality and presentation surprisingly bad will not return.

I paid 1.29 to add hard boiled egg to my salad, I got 1/2 an egg, not even a whole egg. Not only that, apparently if you add egg, they take away your croutons because there were none on my Ceasar salad. The lettuce at this location has become predictably wilted, but today it was even more so than usual. Not the first time the quality has been low at this location, but today was just beyond.

I placed an online order and quickly realized after I placed it that it went to a location over 20 min away from me. I tried to cancel the order online but it said I had to call the cafe directly. I called this cafe 4 times in a 10 min period and the phone just rings, after it rings for 2 min, the line disconnects.So I call corporate and they tell me this location is privately owned so itll be up to them how/if they refund meSo then I called them after I hung up with corporate 5 more times with no luck...I have worked in the restaurant industry for 15+ years and regardless of how busy our restaurant got, you answered the phone. Not answering the phone is the quickest way to lose business... extremely annoyed and disappointed in my experience

Horrible customer service. I was sitting at a table with a drink and one of the employees comes to me and asks if he could see proof of my purchase. A friend had ordered a drink online for me and I had to ask him for it and he said that he was being lied to. He proceeded to kick me out and lecture me. He said you have to have purchased something in order to sit inside. I would rate it 0 stars if I could. He has completely ruined my view on Panera Bread and I will likely never willingly eat there again because of this experience.

The lady working on 5/4/2022 at 3:44 pm (may be owner or manager) was yelling at customers to purchase Panera products to sit down. Often or not, when students come to study, they will be inclined to purchase food willingly. However, by forcing high schoolers to pay for food they do not want is horrible customer service I have yet to encounter at any other respectable establishment. After being forced to purchase something and sitting down at one of the booths, my entire table could hear her yelling at her employees. Many of my friends wanted to work at Panera but this experience has discouraged them from applying here. This type of hostile behavior has created an unenjoyable restaurant environment. Other Paneras however, seem to have no issue. It is disappointing to see the downfall of this Panera branch but I hope it will improve soon.

This is in response to a fraudulent transaction made out of this location using Rapid Pick Up:Panera is doing a great job at helping me handle the fraudulent charges made against my Panera account. The person or persons broke into my account(changed the email, the phone number and the password), and made two separate orders that were picked up from the Irvine Blvd location. Panera offered to refund the charges and they even sent me copies of the order receipts to send to my bank, as I had to shut off my card for fraud.To the person or persons who broke into my account, I am sorry that you will not be able to make a 3rd order using my information. Fortunately I was able to reset my entire account using my Panera membership number(DUH). So unless you can break into Panera’s mainframe, you won’t be able to change that. I hope your digestive system disagreed with the tons of bagels and pizzas you ordered…not because the food was ill-prepared, but because you’re a POS.I am still a fan of Panera, and I appreciate their team helping me with this.To any customer reading this, make your you get your Panera membership number, in case these parasites go after your account as well.

I was the only one at the register, 3 different people walked by a few times, including the manager... nobody even acknowledged that I was there. I waited almost 5 minutes until I finally got help from the new guy... and then they somehow started helping estimating else that was in line behind me and pretty much forgot my order! I had been standing there for 5 minutes, first in line, and ended up getting my bagels... yes, simple bagels, just toasted and sliced, to go... got them AFTER 4 other people who had been behind me in line. I am a regular at this location and since last five or more visits I have seen customer service detoritiation.I always order online and reach store only after I get a notification that order is ready for pickup. But to my surprise, order is not ready at all! They havent even started on the order ! So I go stand in queue, waster another 10mins, and then they give the order ignoring special instructions I had put in. I have to specially ask did you read special instructions I added with my order . Eventually I get the order I wanted, but the overall customer experience is too slow and sometime annoying.I have also seen some Panera employee wears gloves and some dont. Ive consistently ordered online delivery from this location over the past couple weeks. Every single time, at least 2 items were missing from my order. I dont understand why whoever is delivering it doesnt make sure that everything is in the bag and just takes it out to deliver. It isnt hard to CHECK. I have called every single time and every single time I was given false promises. One time I was told that I will get missing items from my past order in my current order, and, not only were those items NOT given, once again, items were missing from the current order. The second time, I was told that I would be given a refund and was told that I would receive an email. I have not received any kind email regarding the refund being processed.

I’ve came to this Panera twice for online order pickup. What annoys me is I’ve came here twice in line to order coffee. They notice you and greet you but just start walking around in the bakery section. I was standing in line the first time for at least 10 minutes with no one in front of me. Very slow delivery of breakfast. My order receipt shows 7:15 AM and final receipt with food shows 7:23 AM. I actually was called to pickup food at 7:36 AM. So about 21 minutes to get 2 regular sandwich with egg and cheese. Other customers waiting there clearly showed frustration, too. When I asked reason for delay, Ryan cashier replied only two people are making breakfast. So in total 4 crews, 2 at cashier dealing with customers and handing over already made croissants, souffle etc and 2 at back with near oven preparing breakfast. If 4 crew cannot handle couple of customers not at a busy location at all, I dont know the reason of providing costly breakfast service there.

Managers seem focused on PROFITS, and not CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am a very regular and loyal customer at Panera bread, I probably frequent about three or four locations on a weekly basis, totaling about 10 times per week. Love their coffee subscription, and one or two other items which I buy regularly.Having said that, I have found that the service at this Woodbury Panera location has declined steadily, especially since the pandemic started. I’m guessing because of the influx of online orders, they are super busy, however, when customers are in there ordering their food to go, or coffee or whatever it is, they are subjected to waiting for long periods of time, many other reviews cite this as well, without the courtesy of some basic friendly service.To single out one of their managers, Payam, if I ask him how are you today, his response: ”Easy Money”. What was that? That’s right, he always answers, with the response, “Easy Money”.And one of the reasons I find this strange, and downright insensitive, is because several times if I have found the bathroom lacking in toilet paper or paper towels, I would mention to one of the employees, and they are so busy making food orders and don’t even have time for one employee to go back there and replace the supplies in the restroom, or at least, say OK sir, I’ll get to that right away, thanks for letting me know. That seems to be all they’re focused on, is PROFITS. And not service. Easy Money. That’s the goal. The message coming loud and clear, from the managers. For the managers. I have no choice but to have this perception.On another occasion, the same manager, again Payam, I had alerted him to a strand of “hair” which was in my salad (!)… I let him know, he looked at me, didn’t really express the concern one would expect from an employee, let alone the MANAGER of the store, rolled his eyes slightly, and said to me, “Have a nice day”, and turned away. Didn’t even offer me a free meal the next time, NOR APOLOGIZE! He NEVER said the words I’m sorry. This is the same manager, Payam. Easy Money. But I kept going there, because it’s convenient. But as I said at the beginning, unfortunately, their service and their attention to detail and sensitivity to the customer, has gone down considerably.There are a few nice cashiers, Ariana, Haley, Yuni, Tabby, Paige, and new boy Hunter...who smile and give good service, are prompt, and appreciate your business, however, there are a couple who are the very opposite. Don’t even expect Sara to smile and notice you anytime soon when you walk in.I don’t think I’m going here again.I much prefer the one on 17th St. in Costa Mesa (manager Adrian), especially the one on Bison in Newport Beach (manager Eddie or Luis) I can get my coffee and food orders from there.Just wanted to let everyone know, this is how I’ve been feeling, and I have specific examples, and there are a few more, but these are the ones that I feel strongly about, and when managers are acting in this way, focusing on profits and not even showing consistent attention and care for the customer and their needs, then the writing is on the wall. And they’re “nothing but profits” philosophy starts to trickle down to the rest of the cooks and some of the employees.

Its always nice to get dinner and hang out with the next generation of people to run our country, but its hard to find a seat. This Panera should be twice as big as it is. Disorganized, staff and management have an attitude towards clients when you ask a question about lack of service...Ive waited more than 25min for my food (sandwich & soup) while my wife received her meal nearly immediately. Was hard finding a clean table because staff take their time to remove dirty plates. There are so many other better lunch choices at the same shopping location that this is the last time this Panera location will see me.

It was so consistently hot that it had to be microwaved I can taste it. It did not feel premium at all like I thought Panera is. This place needs a new manager. Floor is filthy, plates remain on the tables, and when eventually picked up, the tables are not wiped down. We were there for two hours last night catching with a friend. Crushed potato chips were not swept up and two tables were not cleared near us the whole time. One table that had already been cleared remained dirty from greasy fingerprints, spilled soup.Im used to the one on Barranca, which is clean and orderly.Food was good, just hard to stomach in this environment.

Got their tomato soup and was really tasty. Menu is a little bit more on the expensive side but its pretty expansive. I ordered an avacado Turkey sandwich and it was good. If I could give no stars I would. I just waited 15 minutes for my Rapid Pickup to find that it was ready and sitting in the kitchen the when time I was there with no reason to why. When I finally asked about my order thats when the manager came in and found the bag sitting. She gave the bag and didnt really say why it took so long didnt even apologized until I said that this wasnt the first time. Her answer was if I come in and my Rapid pickup isnt ready to ask for a manager. I am super frustrated as this has happened too many times and I was giving them another chance. My main problem is the lack of customer service and how they dont ever communicate what is going on.

So as I waited for the soups and 1 sandwich several who ordered after me received their order one was a pizza. Then another lady long long after me received hers and it wasn’t a call in either. Finally received my order crammed in a small bag asked me do you want a bigger bag I said please. She just threw it down. A manager, at least I thought he was, came and did it for me. I told him the service was awful he said sorry. That was it. Didn’t seam to care what happened. Never will return and will tell others not to go. I was a restaurant GM. I love Panera... even used them to cater the rehearsal dinner for my wedding. But I cannot stand the Woodbury location near me. So disappointing. Constantly out of items, food quality not good. The last time I was there, the bread was stale. The french onion soup flavor was weak, the coffee wasnt even hot. This location/franchise certainly cant be meeting Paneras corporate standard. Yet again another terrible experience..... This is now my 4th review. I showed up today around 7:30, a lady came from from the back to take my order. She then said she was going to make the order and it will be right up. This was probably the simplest order ever. A half dozen bagels sliced with a tub a cream cheese. There is no way you can mess up an order that easy right?!? Well guess what this Panera did. As I am standing there waiting for my bagels, the lady who took my order disappeared and is no where to be seen. I was watching as another associate is toasting bagels in the toaster. As she is doing so, one gets stuck in the toaster and the toaster starts smoking. She finally realizes it and goes in with her tongs and pulls out the completely burnt bagel. Instead of remaking it she puts the burnt bagel in the bag and continues to do the rest. Meanwhile this is taking her longer than normal and what she doesnt realize is behind her is a line of about 8 people who have now been waiting for over 7 minutes watching her make these Bagels. I continued to look around for the lady who was supposed to be making my order and she was still nowhere to be found. Once the toasted Bagels were done the lady calls out the order and no one responds. I then realize maybe that is my order so I told her I have an order of half dozen bagels but theyre not toasted theyre just supposed to be sliced. She takes my receipt and realizes that she made the mistake, so now has to go back and redo my order while now there is up to probably 10 people waiting in line staring at her and nobody coming out to assist. Not only that, but then I realized if I were to have taken that order I would have gotten home and there would have been a completely burnt Bagel in my bag that was pretty much non edible. How can someone be so inconsiderate and not remake that bagel and think its okay to put a completely burned Bagel in the bag. I just dont understand........ I have told myself multiple times that I would never come back to this location, however I still continue to come back because my family likes bagels and its the only location in the area. However after this experience once again now it is official I will never be coming back. It is sad because this shopping center is so busy and this is the only Bagel shop in the area. I hope this place shuts down and opens as a professionally ran breakfast business in the near future. Please feel free to reach out to me if anybody from the Panera corporate office reads this. I would love to discuss in detail and tell them they need to shut this place down. Oh wait now there is more.... I just got home opened my bag of bagels and instead of their regular fluffy cream cheese they gave me cheap store bought no name brand cream cheese in my bag.
