Wasted food and wasted my time. I ordered a half Mediterranean veggie sandwich and had one minor customization which was to take off the feta and add avocado instead.The crew forgot the avocado. I left Panera and started driving away. I checked and as my sandwich did not have avocado I went back.Only for them to tell me I was incorrect even though I showed them this receipt. They asked for the original sandwich back to inspect but then threw away the original Sandwich. Literally couldve given that to someone without lunch today. Now its just in their trash bin.What a world we live in when we can just throw away food when there are thousand of people hungry in our community.....They remade the sandwich with a little more fuss. Im not satisfied with the service today and wont be returning. This are 15 extra minutes to just simply add what I had paid for - can management please get in contact?Why are you throwing perfectly good food out?

I don’t know why I waited so long to visit Panera Bread. It’s certainly a great place for healthy and wholesome lunch.We tried lot of dishes here. And everything for good in taste and portion size.1. French onion soup - 4/52. Chicken soup - 3/53. Mediterranean sandwich- 4/54. Tomato soup and cheese sandwich-3/55. Margarita flatbread pizza -3.5/5Ambience was good. This cafe is a good place for brunch or dinner.🥘1. Soups are delicious (I only ate only creamy soups). I take with French baguette usually (always soft, fresh and warm).🥪2. The tuna salad sandwich is not bad, but I ate more tasty. But he consists fresh vegetables.🥐3. The bakery is awesome (you can see on photos in the box (4pk) and how is look inside).The vanilla cinnamon roll isnt too sweet and fresh.🏢4. The building is large, sometimes stuff dont have any time to wipe tables on time.🤐5. Sometimes I dont understand some people of the stuff because they have a strong accent.🕵️‍♀️6. Food was good, its Panera, it will almost always be pretty good. The employees are very attentive, calling out names for pickup making sure somebody didnt forget or miss their orders. Have visited many times as its near my workplace. It gets busy during lunch times, but service is always good and quite prompt.

Nicer than the San Jose Market Center restaurant, but the food is of a similar quality.Good for a change, but nothing standout about the food or flavours.It’s difficult to use the self service displays when you don’t have a US phone number. They won’t accept random numbers typed in and you can’t bypass it.

Awesome place for quick breakfast. I love the sandwiches here, especially the chicken pulled burger is flavorful and delicious and comes with a pack of kettle chips (these are just normal chips fried in oil so don’t get confused with the name).

The display that tracks your order and the pace the folks work don’t match. They messed up the order and were extremely rude when I asked about it, only to know that the order was never prepared. Kindness goes a long way and also the acceptance of a mistake rather than arguing.

The food was good, but i was not impressed with the dirty tables everywhere, plus the staff in the kithen didnt seem like they knew what they were doing, leaving food sitting in the window and not calling out your name when it was ready, would not reccomend them, there is another panera not far down the road.

Uber eats order pickup is never on time.Right now, i am waiting for the past 20 mins. No update.Either they gave the order to someone else, or never prepared my order.Left after 20 minutes.Update : I did get my order. They had kept my order on a different pick up table.Thanks to the lady with the uber eats tablet. she figured out the misplaced order and gave it back to me.Why are there different pick up table for uber eats order ? And if there are why are the staff not trained ? I asked the supervisor also ( okay not the supervisor maybe, there was a lady who was supervising the 2 cashier ), and she was also unaware.Never coming back to this place again.

I got the new chicken sandwich. It was very good! Its a bit on the expensive side especially when another restaurant nearby has a chicken sandwich too and is much cheaper but there are differences. The bun is a brioche bun with parmesan chips inside. The sauce brings everything together. The sandwich comes in a square box and you can choose this in a pick 2 meal.

Don’t order around 11:30am or 12pm… There’s lots of customers at these times and waited 34 minutes before I got my order.. supposed to pick up at 11:50 but I got it at 12:34pm. Also on my order, they just put a little cheese on half of the sandwich with no chicken and nothing more since they are in a hurry. Not sure whether to feel sorry for the staffs for working hard or for tipping but having no chicken on half of my sandwich.

Compare to Daly City there bagels is much fresher, This is Santa Clara a lot of tech people, I think all the old bread in all panera in the Bay Area was bring to Daly City, well I guess depends on the income of individual areas, I have the same thing when I go to panera bagels and croissants This is Panera in N First st in San Jose close to my grandkids home, and I also goes on first Saturday on Cupertino Panera when I go to flea market, so I can see the Difference the freshest of the bread, I’m from Daly City by the way

Horrible experience. Make me never want to order from Panera again. Waited 1 hr to be emailed that my order is canceled due to no driver. But I saw at least 2 drivers were waiting in the store to pick up the order from the tracking website they provided. Just to be honest, if you forget to make the food then say you forget. Why blame the drivers. I then called the café manager. She said wait a sec, and put me on hold for 10 mins then hung up automatically. Ive never had such a horrible customer service. I would give negative star if I could.

Panera sure was popular today.All the trash bins were neglected for so long that people were competing each other for the highest plate stacking. Soup stains were everywhere.Some gave up and left the plates at their tables. I couldn’t reach the landfill trash bin without risking myself dropping the dirty plates.Workers were clearly not concerned because they would look and walk past it. I would have felt the same if I saw that too. I would also feel too disgusted to come back here.My soup was cold.

Im tired of my orders being incorrect! The food is generally good; however, when I customize it, my order is mostly prepared wrong or not how I want. I think the big problem is the staffs lack of reading, writing, and comprehension of the English language. Most of the staff seem to speak only Spanish. Im stating facts and not being rude to the Hispanic community, so if your feelings are hurt, learn how to deal with the truth.Homeless folks were walking in and out of the restaurant, and I heard one using the N-word to himself(?) Now, customers have to stand in line and get the passcode from the staff to use the bathroom.

Ive been a frequent customer at this Panera Bread location for a while now, but I have consistently been disappointed with the Rapid Pick-Up service. The emails I receive always say that my order will be waiting for me on the shelf, but that is rarely the case. I have had to get in line multiple times to request my order from the counter. This is frustrating and time-consuming, and it seems to be a problem unique to this location. Other Panera Bread locations Ive visited have not had this issue. I hope they can work to improve this service.

San Jose native who visited this location while running errands. Ordered through the kiosk, so my party and myself were able to take time in deciding our order. Got the pick 2 combo, which is a great deal- order of grilled cheese and tomato soup. A great selection for a cold, windy day. The ambience was quiet and nice as diners were enjoying their food while studying, working, and relaxing. The only issue was getting our food. We got a pager from the kiosk and sat down at our chosen table. Once the pager buzzed, we were hesitant whether we pick up the food ourselves or will a server bring it to us. Fortunately, we were sitting close to food pick-up counter. If we were sitting farther, we would have simply wandered throughout the dining floor.

This is a place I go to often for several reasons. Firstly, it is 5 min drive from my home. Secondly it is a very spacious coffee shop and thirdly it has a excellent variety of small meals, pastry and snack. My only issue with this place is lack of creativity when it comes to coffee. The coffee is standard in terms of flavor options. The quality of the ingredients are good. I just wish they had more cold coffee options. Cappuccino is decently prepared. They have started making flat bread pizza which is decent in terms of quality of cheese and the sauce they use taste like its a ready made one but if a better quality. This place is a excellent spot for family, friends and colleague get together or meetings for brunch or coffee. The fresh bread are very good quality. I regularly buy bread here. The service is very good meaning the staff are efficient and get you the order quickly. The kiosk system is easy to use also.

Updating review after 2 years.Still great service. Quick service as always. All the workers are awesome. Heres one of the several good experiences I had. I ordered hot coffee from app thinking its iced coffee. I only realized when I received it. Since it was my mistake, I had to accept it. But the employee was so good. He gave me another iced coffee for no charge.I have been here like 70 times in last 4 years and always had such good experiences.

Great place. Parking during lunch times is a huge challenge.However the staff here is friendly and quick. The restaurant manager is polite and friendly. The food is good but theres like a 75% chance the order is wrong - and this is from someone who orders about once a week. Ive resorted to counting the soups but even that is not enough. This time it was swapping a broccoli cheddar with an autumn squash and no chips. Not a huge deal but its literally 3 out of 4 times I eat there. That rate of mistakes is unacceptable. Just check all the food is there before you leave.

Best Customer Service at a PaneraThis location is by favorite for several reasons. But before I get to those reasons, I will say that I have driven up to 12 miles out of my way to go to this location because the service is so good.(1) The Register Clerks are always jovial and ameliorative. Ive never had less than an excellent experience (in more than a dozen visits)(2) The Preparation team always gives extra of whatever. Theres no skimping on any additive, sauce, topping, etc...(3) If theres a mistake in the order, it will be pushed to the head of the line and corrected immediately, at no chargeYes, the food is great. I love the restaurant chain, but the service at this location is the absolute best Ive ever had (Ive visited every locale in the South Bay).

I had a lunch meeting with former colleagues here in early August. Food is generally as expected and consistent. I took one star off in the rating because of an auto theft incident that happened right there in front of the store. I was sitting on a bench with my back facing the parking lot waiting for my party to arrive. A customer of Panera Bread parked his car literally 5-6 yards away and went in to pick up his order. When he came out, he found his cars driver-side window was totally smashed and his backpack stolen. There was no security camera. According to the store staff, it was not the first time to see such car thefts in this plaza in the recent past. I was sad for the victim and also for inaction of whomever that should have taken measures to deter such brazen crimes.

The breakfast menu doesnt list when its over, so I assumed it was all day long until I tried to order a breakfast sandwich and was told it was over and that their menus are old. I decided to take some bagels home instead and found out that their cream cheese spreads menu is also old.It would be nice if the menus were up to date so that I could order faster and spend less time in line trying to figure out what I can actually order.

I feel like this location always skimps on food amount etc... in comparison to other Panera Bread locations I visited. E.g I always order chicken fontega and they never put enough sauce leaving it tasting very dry. I also order the cinnamon crunch bagel and it is very lacking of the cinnamon crunch topping. At first I thought maybe it was just that one time panera bread changed their recipes/amount, but after going back here multiple times - it is always the same. It is only this location leading me to suspect whomever manages it, purposely skimps.

This panera on N 1st street is super busy most of the times. They have multiple order taking methods. Self order kiosks and 2-3 registers. Although most people will be standing in line, not knowing that they can order from the kiosks. They should promote the kiosks in a better way and provide more visibility. The orders are made quickly and correctly here. Rarely have they missed items like sides or croutons for the soup etc. Plenty of seating space inside. Overall great service at this location.

Omg these new macaroni and cheese upgrades are everything!!! Get the fiesta one or whatever it’s called but they add: cilantro, pesto, tomatoes, and avocados. Omg the flavors of everything is like a party in your mouth! The tomato soup is not even worth ordering. It was so basic. I would only get it if I had I perfectly grilled and cheesey grilled cheese. It was my first time ordering. It says “creamy” nothing about it is creamy at all. It’s bland and basic. I’m disappointed there aren’t many outlets as before and this one gets pretty loud and pretty packed as high school kids come and eat before tournaments or matches. Seating is Pretty scarce especially if you need an outlet and have a bad laptop battery like me. The food is always good here though and quick service.

Got a free pastry reward - cannot use it for a bagel which is cheaper. We cannot eat pastries at Panera because nothing is vegan but corporate policy doesnt allow that. We dont take the offered cream cheese or butter with the bagels but cannot have a tiny bit of jam included because thats extra. Corporate policy doesnt allow changes. Well, we should go to a mom&pop bagel place where corporate policy doesnt stand in the way of client hapiness for pennies. Thank you Panera. This shopping center can get very, very busy at lunchtime and on days where there are events at Levis stadium, so be prepared to look for parking for a while or park at Target and walk over.

I love this place but theres one thing just doesnt make sense. They sell black coffee small for $2.19 regular $2.39 and large for $2.59, guess what? If you bring your own cup, they charge you $2.99!! I always bring my own mug to every coffee shop and tried to save both my money and the environment. Usually you will get a cheaper price for the travelers mug, but this is not how it works for this place. It doesnt matter if you order small, regular or large, you can always get a refill for the black coffee. So guess what? Next time I will just use their cup and order the small one :), kills the environment and saved me 80 cents.

Generally, this is the same as any of the Paneras. I like that if you have the app & payment entered (PayPal accepted!) you can order from your table and theyll serve you. You can also order from a computer kiosk and pay with a credit card. Its a good location to meet up with friend and has a large outside patio area, a plus in San Jose. They have one large table. Originally a great place, but quality of both service and food is quickly degrading. Online ordering so far failed in all attempts (five total) - items were either not available, not ready on arrival or not prepared correctly (e.g. bread is not sliced). Employees have very little training and dont know their what theyre selling (e.g. rye miche doesnt exist - you can get either rye loaf or white miche).From coming here a couple of times a week for fresh pastry, we only come here now as a place of last resort and even then we get burned every time
