The food is great, and the desserts are delicious. You cant make a wrong choice when picking something to eat or drink.The only drawback is the bugs when dinning outside they should add a liner or an incense to ward off flies.

I was recommended by the Inn Keeper to come here for lunch. I had been travelling all day from Nashville so was pretty discombobulated and hungry. I got the rosemary chicken sandwich and it was incredible 😆 There was a lively group celebrating a birthday party and the staff was very welcoming and nice 😊 They don’t need another review from me.. but I think a business that does everything right should get some kudos ❤️❤️😎

One of the best pizza we ever had!!! We ordered 3 pizzas and they were all delicious 😋 Our most favorite was Mediterranean pizza. White Sauce and marinara sauce both were good...I like their patio ambience..lots of green in outdoor seating. I wll definitely recommend this place.

They say one pizza feeds one adult. At 15 bucks a pop, expect to spend $30 for two, plus tip, get your own utensils and bus your table. Pizza is ok.

I really do not know how they do it! Such incredibly delicious food, the highest quality, at such reasonable prices! Large portions too. One night I had fettuccine Alfredo, today I had the “Breezer” Salad, which comes with brie and chicken, over a garnished Caesar salad—wow! Another time had their vegetarian pizza. Everything is so fantastically good. also it’s a very pleasant indoor and outdoor dining space. Just be aware they close at 8:30. Recommend you go here ))

A definite stop for lunch or dinner. the food is consistently great with amazing flavors that always leave you wanting more! a fav restaurant of ours with the cool patio for al fresco dining. the lush feel of being surrounded by the vines & beautiful trees overhead is unmatched anywhere. soft splashing of the fountain adds to the ambience of this amazing place. awesome staff, great garlic & herb fries. the beetnik salad is out of this world! thank you Papa Lennons for being here for us! we love you!

My husband and I were visiting Ojai for the Farmers Market this morning. After enjoying a good walk and shopping, we stopped in for lunch. OK- we are now spoiled. We cant have pizza from anywhere but here. It was really good- fresh and generous ingredients, wonderful taste, and a perfect crust. We each got a pizza and we can enjoy leftovers for supper tonight!

Small tucked away Papa Lennon’s is very much a tranquil and quiet setting to enjoy lunch or dinner in Ojai. Staff are nice, food was enjoyable and average. Outdoor patio area is quite a serene place to eat and converse with your table mates. Pizza was pretty good for Ojai.Recommended!

A favorite & must do when in Ojai! Great food with a laid back welcoming atmosphere. The patio is shaded with vine covered walls, a trickling fountain and occasionally live bands play in the evening (on the weekends).

What a find! I was worried that the buffalo mozzarella on the panini would be spicy; I was assured that it was not, and she was right -- it was yummy!!! (I am very sensitive to spice.) We thoroughly enjoyed our meal on the patio: great food, great service, great atmosphere!!

We had salads and both were excellent with delicious bread and olive oil and (very good) balsamic vinegar on the side. An additional order of garlic fries were potent in a good way with plenty of herbs to elevate the mere taste of fresh garlic. They were wicked good. The patio itself is a lovely place to dine, meet a friend for lunch, or take a visitor to the area. They seemed to do a lot of take out while we were there; the front dining space has limited seating and a variety of sized tables. Cutlery, etc. are self-serve to one side. Order at the register and the food comes to you. Great system, such nice employees. An easy feeling ambiance that, while casual, also seems refined. Thats the MOtown vibe. The patio has a fountain and numerous tables with a couple of freestanding heat lamps to help with cooler days. Parking is a wee bit limited out front and the spots across the street are restricted for patrons of that establishment. We saw a couple of graciously friendly locals bike in, enjoy a beverage together, and then away they went with their takeout order. Smart! My new favorite spot in the valley.

I had been hearing people talk about this restaurant so I decided to get out of the fog in Ventura and take a drive to Ojai. I arrived to a busy patio full of people and no one in line inside where I placed my order. There was one girl working the counter and phones, one waitress on the floor and several men in the kitchen. I ordered a full size Beetnik salad for my husband and a small size of the same for myself. I also ordered what I thought was the Rosemary Chicken panini for us to share. As I moved away from the counter I noticed about 8 people behind me and while sitting and waiting another eight people came in. I was impressed with the way the waitress seemed to keep things flowing amidst the sudden onset of a big crowd of people waiting to order! I noticed my order on the shelf waiting to be bagged and to my surprise it didnt take long. When I arrived home we sat down to eat which is when I realized my panini was not a panini, it was a sandwich on foccacia bread. The flavor was excellent when I was able to take a bite big enough to include the chicken, alioli, lettuce and tomato. I do not recall seeing any cheese and although the bread was fresh, it was way too dry and ruined the experience for me. My husband gave the salad an 8 out of 10 and confirmed what other reviewers mentioned...too much large leaf lettuce and not enough of the items that make it a specialty salad. Furthermore, they included only one salad dressing in the large salad. We found this odd because the small salad had one as well. Two would have been perfect for the large salad. I am disappointed that my review is not better. We will try again in the future and if my experience is better I will adjust my review.

Updated: I’ve eaten here 5 times now and got food poisoning 2/5 times, I though the first time that maybe something was off with me, but the second time it was definitely from the restaurant.I got the fettuccine with chicken on the side, I ate some of it and gave the rest to my dogs, who also got the runs really bad from it, so I am convinced that it wasn’t an issue on my end the second time.Service is super friendly! And to be fair the food is delicious, minus getting the runs

The food is amazing and so is the chai tea. I love basically everything I try here. The prices are high but they are worth it! The only issues can be that it gets very busy so you need to be patient and it can get low on seating. The inside of the restaurant and the patio are really nice. Its wonderful to eat outside here when the weather is warm at night.

I am a Real Estate Agent and have some clients that cancelled cooking dinner to let us show their property which was on the market. They ended up coming to this restaurant. I was nosy and asked them where they were going. They said they were drinking wine and eating pasta and not to worry. First visit this weekend. Place smells great with all of the garlic. Very cool outdoor seating area. Beer tap selection looked great. We got takeout margarita and goat pizzas as well as Greek salad. Crust was good, pizzas a bit dry, way too many basil leaves on the margarita for my taste - Greek salad had a good flavor - a bit too rustic for my taste - veggies were chopped too big IMO but my wife liked it. Would likely try it again- maybe the pastas next time

If you like Biden then you’ll probably like this average food.I got the beetnik salad and it was basically just lettuce…there were hardly any toppings on it. Such a rip off.The spaghetti and meatballs…do not order. Sauce is terrible and the meatballs were so tough and bland.

Wonderful place for patio dining in a beautiful town! The staff are kind and friendly. My favorite things are the beet salad, the house salad, pizza margherita (with garlic!) and the garlic fries. They have great beer and ale to go with the food. There aren’t any better places for casual dining on a summer evening.

Greek salad, tomato garlic and basil pizza .Amazing simply amazing !Food was nice and hot beer was served ice cold in a chilled pint glass . Salad crisp and delicious. Staff are doing a great job. The pandemic has been rough on restaurants. Ive noticed the quality of ingredients has dropped off. That was the case when I ordered take out recently. Good food and affordable. Actually pretty refreshing food and atmosphere as we have been on the road eating overpriced mediocre bleh.. The cashier however, a youthful pretty girl just didnt seem to care if we lived or died. She had no problem flirting with the guy before us. Bad day? Just another millennial living up to their stereotype? I only say this as perhaps the owner or manager might ask the front of house to at least pretend to care about the money coming in the door. In contrast, the food runner was attentive and engaging enough. She seemed like shed fix any issues but we had none.. She may have been management. I dont require my food servers to brighten my day or make the world a better place, just that they remember we have other options and do not need to bring business back. Again, good food and fair prices. Id try it again.

One of the best places in town to get your pizza. The seating area outside makes a great place to stay eat too, however there is no waitress so do expect to get your own plates, water, etc and to clean up after yourself as well. It can get pretty busy and congested at times but if you go on a week day/night, its vibe is mellow and light. Pricing is fairly reasonably.

The food varies vastly in quality and taste each time I’ve been there. The chicken tastes like it is refrigerated store bought from Costco. Also they are very stingy with giving extra sauce on the side, not sure why. Also even though they have garlic fries ready for purchase, they will not give it to you as a side and tell you you must buy a full order of it. They won’t even let you spend an extra dollar to have them put it on the side. Mindblown

It was all great: the food, the service, the pricing, the environment/setting, the location.Came on a busy warm summer evening and got two pizza’s, at at the huge tree/log community table on the patio where there was a guitarist singing and playing and it remarkably wasn’t obnoxious!! I beyond love this place. I went here for the first time this weekend and it was like a step back in time. When you first walk in, you immediately can tell that someone with old word charm put this place together in both ambiance, overhead song, and food. If I didnt have things to get done in my day, I might have stayed here forever And make no mistake about it, come all no matter what your type. I would even have a casual business meeting here as Im a professional by day. The pizza was clearly made with homemade crust and the freshest of Ojai ingredients. An excellent local restaurant about 2 miles outside town. Papa Lennons was recommended to us by a local and Im so glad we made the trip. I have rarely had a salad that I enjoyed as much as the Wonton Chicken salad. While we were there two couples came in to order the same saying that they make the trip up from Santa Barbara a couple of times a year and always come for the Wonton Chicken salad. Papa Lennons is a well known and accredited family operated restaurant in the Ojai Valley. When you walk through the door, you can immediately tell that the owners put a lot of effort in building the rustic and dreamy atmosphere of this place. The ambiance is chill. This restaurant is the perfect place to grab a drink and pizza with your buds, or even to bring a date along and sit in the romantic lighting of the outside patio area surrounded with walls of ivy and a small fountain.Papa Lennons offers a magical dining experience and also offers fantastic quality and flavor in their food. Currently, my go tos are the BBQ Chicken Pizza, paired along with either a Chicken Ceaser Salad or their famous House Salad. They furthermore produce amazing made in-house desserts ranging from Gelato, Crème brûlée, to Tiramisu; they have all bases covered.I prescribe Papa Lennons to you if you want an old soul rustic dining experience paired up with high-quality food. Friendly local pizzeria serving a good variety of salads, pasta, beer/wine, desserts, and of course pizza. A local favorite, friendly for kids, with flavors of a somewhat blander note. Spagetti and meatballs is a somewhat watery, overly oregano spiced, but a generous portion for a good price. Alfredo sauce is more garlic and half and half than cheeses and cream. Pizzas are medium crust with gooey cheese rather than a crisp neopoli style crust. Nonetheless, their ingredients are fresh and you get what you pay for.

The foccaccia is awesome theres balsamic and olive oil available to go with. The gelato is fresh and awesome. Craft beers, friendly staff. All their veggies are from locals, often backyards I think, in other words, always fresh without the pesticides etc. Highly recommended. Also, pastas, sandwiches, and salads.

I like papa Lennons, The food is delicious and the people in the KITCHEN are very fast and they preparer the food very good, sometimes french fries are very hard I cant even bite them, very friendly staff.EXCEPT one Lady whos working in the front very rude and unfriend, they sometimes ask if I need any utensils or napkins if not I have to tell them to add forks and napkins cheese and pepper when I call I tell them I want & when I get to my car no nothing no napkins not cheese no pepper no forks. This is mostly all the time . Ok I dont mine asking again for it . But not getting a BAG FOR MY GOOD. I CANT tolerate that. ( I called ahead I got to the restaurant I paid for my food then I got a pizza and 4 boxes with no bag I ASKED THE lady can I get A BAG no sorry the bags are ¢0.35 why asking for a bag at a restaurant?? Is ok I dont mine asking for a bag why did she didnt ask when I was paying for the food. Of course I needed a bag. .I told her I came yesterday I didnt even have to ask for a bag they were no charging for it. Ohh well now WE DO.+++It was the way she told me that+++Then at the stop I drop all the boxes.Well THANK YOU!!!

One of my favorite places to go in minors Oaks can sometimes be a little busy but is certainly worth the wait I especially like the patio and having a few beers on a Sunday afternoon The patio is shaded with a beautiful tree called strawberry tree it has blueberry like bell flowers beautiful park and the fruits are edible but I digress I highly recommend this place

Great find in Ojai off the main track, few tourists, great food, order at the counter and sit in the patio. Pizza, organic greens, and twists on traditional foods. You can walk the little main street after lunch or dinner to enjoy Meiners Oaks and its few shops. Great alternative to Ojais standards.
