Came here during lunch time. The building is not busy, easy to find parking. Nothing has changed since prepandemic, it was easy to order through the Ipad. The staffs were attentive, the food came out pretty quickly. It still tastes as good like before, definitely recommended.

Customizable shabu shabu with meat and vegetarian options. My family and I have been coming here for years. This is the spot where we’ll take people who are in town or for when it’s a cold night. You pick the type of meat (Kobe beef or the bulgogi are good bets) and the size (6 oz is quite filling already). There is a tofu and mushroom option available for vegetarians as well. You then pick the kind of broth (spicy yaki is sweet and spicy, while the house spicy is salty and spicy) and can also upgrade to a “wow” combo for $3 more (I would suggest one person get it if you’re with multiple people to share the extras, otherwise it’s a lot). The wow combo includes dumplings and sausage and ramen noodles to name a few things included. You can adjust the heat settings yourself although the waiters will set it for you in the beginning. Parking is easy since there’s a lot, bathrooms are available, they do take credit card, and there’s no free WiFi. The food is really tasty and fun to cook - definitely come check this out whenever you’re in Diamond Bar.

I have been here so many times. Today is the worst experience ever.I came in lunch time. The rice was half full. And the clerk told us that he can’t turn down the air conditioner while we were sweating all over. The meat wasn’t good as before. I am so disappointed today.

Really good! Definitely recommend it. The amount of food is good, the amount of vegetables they give was nice. You do have to pay a $10 fee if you share food with someone. Went on a Saturday night for dinner and the wait was around 20-25 minutes.

Soup was great, less watery than I expected. american wagyu was great. Sauces were fine. Service was great, the waitress checked on us every 10-15 minutes or so. A bit steeply priced. The soup is served in paper, I wonder if it affects the quality or not.

They recently changed ownership but the food still tastes great. They need to take down/fix their business hours posted on their door cause they are now closed for a break in between lunch and dinner hours. Their prices have gone up. The sesame sauce is now watered down/less flavorful as before--please bring back the old sesame sauce recipe. They now give customers a tablet to use to look at the menu and to place an order but its not efficient at all cause theres only one tablet for the entire party to use. Only one person can look at the menu and order at a time which isnt great especially if you have a larger party.

Located in a plaza that has plenty of free parking, the restaurant itself is on the second floor .They do have an elevator for those who are unable to take stairs . It was my first time here, and waiting for an open table was not too much of wait . They do offer pop corn to munch on while waiting, though the batch was pretty over done.Since it was our first time at this restaurant, was very impressed with the fast and friendly service from the female staff . The quality of the food was also very fresh and one of the best I’ve tried . The one thing I think, that can be improved is one of their older male staff members . Just removed the condiments, without me being finished with my meal. He also lowered, the heat setting of my broth and didn’t bother to add more broth . And I had more than enough veggies and meat to still cook . It was like I felt he was rushing us to leave . The female waitresses had no problem, refilling our drinks, broth, sauces ect. We didn’t even have to ask they just did it, once they saw our items were running low . Otherwise great concept and fresh items, willCome back to try other menu options .

Best Shabu spot around! It is a bit hard to find being upstairs in a local shopping district, but it is worth the time to find it! There “House spicy” broth is one of there original births and it is one of the best soup broths I’ve ever had! They also have an amazing selection of meat, I recommend the Kobe Black Chuck, that is what me and my wife always get!

Came here with my friends a few times. The first time I came I had no idea what I was doing but the owner was quite the help very nice person. It’s a very simple Concept but it does work. I really enjoy coming here the food is always good. Not one bad thing I can say about the place.

There half suki and spice broth was a great choice in my books as it was pretty much mildly spiced and flavored good enough for me to want to drink it for soup! Mind you, i am not a soupy type of person so this was pretty good!i had the tofu and mushroom and it only comes in small but all the other choices allows you to pick med or large and if you add another $3 to make it a combo dish ( which includes : 3 dumplings extra little stuff) but it might be too much!DO not get the traditional as it is pretty much just water and a tea bag!water may be tap so just drink the soup !

This place is so good. They are very clean and have high meet quality. The best time to go is weekday lunch.. ayce is only 20 dollars which includes 5 different meat choices.. beef brisket, beef belly, bulgogi, lamb and (one more that I forgot). Recomend house spicy or miso broth with non marinated meat option and sukiyaki broth for bulgogi.

I heard several people rave about this place and the idea of eating shabu shabu from a paper pot seemed really interesting to me, so I came with my friend for dinner.There are a couple options of the soup base, a water based broth, a spicy Korean broth, and the Sukiyaki broth. I chose the spicy broth and my friend opted for the Sukiyaki broth. Then you get a choice of meat and I chose the beef chuck while my friend chose the lamb. We also upgraded to the Wow platter for an additional $3 which included udon, brown rice, rice balls, fish cakes, dumplings and a variety of other things on top of the veggies.Overall, we both agreed that the spicy broth was more flavorful and tasty than the Sukiyaki broth so I would recommend ordering that if you like spicy. Also, we felt that the upgrade to the Wow platter was a little too much. We both walked away with leftovers for the next day. You can probably just share one upgrade between two people.I liked that this place is clean and the ingredients are fresh, but I wish there were more options for the soup base and I would love this place so much more if they had seafood options as well. Prices are a little more expensive than Boiling Point at around $15 depending on what type of meat you order and if you add any upgrades.

Not too far from my house... around 30mins...Their hot pot is very unique with the paper, and that is why I decide to come here in first place. Meat and veggie are very fresh. Another plus for them is we have more than 1 kind of broth to choose; usually we have only water for shabu shabu.I will definitely come here again :)

Its amazing to see how people find these places, because this is in a hidden corner of the plaza.This place is a bit over hyped due to the paper concept that theyve incorporated with the shabu shabu meals.All it is just butcher paper which theyve put into a wooden basket & theres a metal plate at the bottom of the basket that conducts electricity which heats up your paper basket to boil up your food.Seafood shabu shabu: 2 starsNot enough seafood for $20, it was just a very small plate of frozen seafood.I also ordered the extra sides $3, if I wouldnt have ordered this I think that Id be hungry because the seafood plate they gave me was a tiny portion. -1Service: CDecent in the beginning but waiter didnt even check up on us at all throughout the meal. We had to wave him down to get the things we needed.Ironically, the check came faster than the service & we didnt have to wave them down for this.Atmosphere: BClean with long tables with big over head vacuum fans & shabu shabu stands which you cook your own food in.Overall, just another concept restaurant that if youve been here once then its just ok to say that youve been here already but its not a favorite place that you must go again.

WORST SERVICE EVER!Came here on the day after Christmas. Not crowded at all. Waited 17 mins to be seated. An older gentlemen seated us. He asked how many in our party. I informed him 6. He shows us to our table then proceeds to ask us how many chairs. Confused I look at him and tell him “6.” He asks “how many?” I repeat myself and say “six.” Our group gets a chuckle while he begins to pull chairs from almost every table. 5 minutes later we are all seated- 6 of us.We had perused the menus ahead and were ready to go. It took another 10 minutes to flag down the same gentlemen that seated us.There were 4 hot pot heating units on the table already. The gentleman who seated us returned with another hot pot heating unit. Proceeds to plug it in right in front of my 7 year old. I inform him that he’s not having hot pot. He continues to plug the unit in. We then end up rearranging the units to accommodate those eating hot pot. Self service to the Nth degree.We ordered:1. Prime Rib2. Wagyu3. Duck4. Ribeye5. Shrimp TenpuraFood arrived after approximately 12 minutes.So where does the 1 star come from? Where do I begin:1. No one ever came by to check on how we were doing.2. We asked for water and NEVER RECEIVED any water until more than half way through our meals where we had to ask for water AGAIN. What was hilarious was the comment from the server “we are still making it.” Lol. Fast forward another 10 minutes and alas our waters come—- right as we were done with our meals.3. I asked for another napkin/chopstick/spoon set and unfortunately never received one.4. Also asked for napkins which we never received.5. The meat was good the sauces- both the soy and sesame was sour. Unfortunate.The final wait was for our check.Paid and left.Won’t be back.

We are very DISAPPOINTED. 😩Before pandemic, our experience here was good. Like 75-85 points out of 💯. The services were good, the broth was not bad, the sauce was good, and the meat quality was great!Unfortunately, this time it was only 55 points out of 💯. The services were poor, the broth was very so so and salty, the sauce was very salty, and the meat quality was good. The meat was the only reason why it ended up to 55 points. Or else, I might give it 30 points. For sure, we will NOT revisit.I have eaten before the epidemic, and I think this one is not bad👍🏼 The meat is delicious, the soup is not bad, the service is good, and the dipping sauce is also delicious.Unexpectedly, after three years, only the good quality of the meat remained. The score plummeted from 75-85 to 55. I will not visit again.1. The soup is too salty, and the tonkotsu tastes like the quality of the central kitchen, not the big bone soup made by the kitchen itself.2. The two kinds of dipping sauces are too salty and have no flavor-enhancing effect at all. I really cant eat them after a few bites, so I completely give up dipping sauces.3. The service is very poor, almost no service at all. Throw us a tablet, let us go after a few words, dont care if there is a problem with our ordering system, and dont give us water. Until we finished choosing all the dishes, we took the initiative to ask the waiter why the order could not be delivered. We had to ask for water before we knew we were going to give us water... After the food was served in the middle, there was no time to ask if there was any need until we checked out and left.4. The meat quality is still good...the only advantage. If it wasnt for the meat being delicious, I might only give it 30 points...

I really like tomato hot pot, the meat quality is really good, it is the best beef I have ever eaten in a hot pot restaurant. Neighbor Mo Mo said that he can finally have a hot pot with us that is not very spicy, haha!
