Stopped by from out of town for a quick drink. Decided to order a Boba drink instead of a usual coffee, and got a mango green tea. It was surprisingly good! Very refreshing and it was made to order within 5-10 minutes even though there were a few orders. Id recommend this as a quick stop for anyone both in/out of town!

Stopped by quickly and the service was fast. I appreciate that they have coconut milk. They also have oat, almond, and soy. The seating is nice and clean. There are also art pieces for sale that are beautiful.

Lovely family owned business.They sell very good coffee and pastries. Ive started coming here because their cold brews are strong and reasonably priced. Lots of locals and quaint outdoor seating area.

Wanted to eat pastries at bakery next door but they were closed and so I tried this place instead. Microwaved breakfast burritos that were still frozen in the middle and just ‘meh’ coffee. I see others have had the same experience. There’s really no excuse for such low standards. Change your name to “cafe whatever” or sell to someone who will make an effort.

They have a lot of options for drink, as bubble tea, I think is the only place who offers those.Also they have this famous ice cream with a fish cone for 7 bucks, ideal for kids

Great place to study or work! They not only have a wide selection of coffee, boba and drinks but they also serve uji time (asian-inspired ice cream) inside the café!! They also have cartons to take home.

Not gourmet! I ordered a bagel and quiche. The bagel was burnt and has just a small “squirt” of thin cream cheese that tastes worse than the cream cheese you get for free at continental breakfast. The quiche was over Microwaved - not exactly gourmet way to prepare food- it smelled so disgusting I couldn’t even take a bite. This isn’t a one off bad experience. It just isn’t gourmet or high quality food. It was a total waste of money. I threw the food away it was so bad

The worst white chocolate mocha Ive ever had. No flavor. No sugar in the whipped cream. Hotter than hell. Berry cake was frozen and not sure when it was made.

Such a great staple to Lafayette! About 11 coffee shops now in Lafayette, but I love Papillons tea selection! Had a blood orange green tea today and always happy when I walk out trying a new flavor/kind. Decent seating to have a meeting or get some work done and conveniently located right downtown.

Been coming here for about 10 years. They used keep the macaroons in sealed glass jar and were soft an fresh. Now the macaroons are in the display case and dried out; the portion sealed under the chocolate is fine, the other part is very tough. Please go back to the jars for macaroon storage.

This is my new favorite coffeeshop during Covid times! They have pleasant, socially distanced outdoor seating that is always available in my experience, even when all of the nearby restaurants are completely packed. Delicious scones too!

Friendly service with delicious coffee. Outside seating is my preference. The weather is usually good hear all year round and there are plenty of friendly dogs passing by on their way to and from the neighboring pet shop. Free wifi. Interior gets a but stuffy on warm days, so be sure to order an iced drink if you will be working inside.

Local coffee shop dead center in Lafayette. The tables are spread out so its not ideal for huge groups but the serve better scones and muffins than Starbucks. The coffee is okay. It can be busy on weekends especially with bikes and walking groups. Sometimes theres a line which takes forever when theres only 4 people in front of you just ordering coffee.Parking is NOT free but if you get there and leave by 10am, you wont have to pay. Otherwise, you get the privilege of paying. I dont put that on the business though. It appears to be a private lot and all surrounding businesses are affected. That being said, youll always be able to park and its not super expensive to do so.Its a local favorite and a good place to meet.

This is a really great mom and pop coffee shop in Lafayette. Their espresso drinks are flavorful without being too sweet. The pastires are pretty good too. The staff is very friendly and is patient when you have young kids who cant decide what they want.

The iced lattes here are really gross and have a watered down flavor.I asked the guy working the counter if he could remake my iced latte because it seemed off, and he did so I have to give credit to them for that. That was very hospitable.Im sure their other drinks are good, but I wouldnt recommend the iced lattes.

Great larger tables to work in groups or share with others if youre solo. Staff is nice and easy to park, but pay for parking. Large variety of teas and great standard coffee situation.

Placed in the bustling Fiesta Square in downtown Lafayette, Papillon is a small, rustic place that offers coffee and continental breakfast. Even though the friendly stuff rushes to fill your orders, expect some time in a line at the counter. I enjoyed a cup of Jasmine tea and a brownie. You might order bagels and oatmeal. A cool drink in summer is a good choice as the place can get hot. Admire the art by local talent always on display. Holding a conversation is challenging though due to poor acoustics.

This is a great family-owned local cafe on La Fiesta Square, only a few yards from that other Lafayette staple, Chow. They have an outstanding selection of teas (black, green, herbal, decaffeinated) -- including teas most people have never heard of (e.g., Keemun tea), excellent espresso drinks, pastries, bagels, etc. What makes it special (besides the tea/espresso/etc.) is the family who run the place, the rotating art exhibits, and the local feel. Papillon attracts people of all ages from young mothers with babies to retirees (and everyone in between). Some people come to work on their laptops but a surprising number are there to hang out with their friends and actually talk. There are a few tables outside. Free wifi. My only complaint is that they arent open late, but I suppose they deserve to have a life outside of work. Wonderful place. I wish we had more like this.
