2023-11-05 18:46:31Long overdue for an update here! Been here countless times already and it has always been consistent and delicious!I recently dined here fairly recently, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding, but what truly set this place apart were their unique color dumplings. The vibrant hues of the dumplings added a fun and intriguing element to the meal. Each dumpling was bursting with flavor, and the variety of fillings was impressive. Moreover, the service was impeccable, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this dumpling spot for anyone looking to savor both delicious food and a touch of culinary creativity. They even had mixed drinks and a bunch of new ones which were delicious. The cocktail menu had so many delicious sounding drinks but I settled. I got the guava one and I wish I took a picture of it but it was all gone by the time I remembered.Would come back again soon for sure!

2023-10-16 23:04:33The service was mediocre. We waited about five minutes on Wednesday. The ambiance is very loud. Unfortunately, the photos on the menu looked larger and more appetizing than what the waiters brought to our table. The food was very bland. The Xiao long bao was extremely small compared to other dumplings restaurants weve visited in OC. The fried rice (both chicken and shrimp) lacked flavor. The only dish that saved this restaurant during our visit was the pork dumpling with hot chili vinaigrette. It actually had some flavor. This restaurant isnt worth the hype. There are many restaurants locally that provide flavorful Xiao long bao, fried rice, and varieties of dumplings.

2023-09-05 06:26:56When I first tried this place, I came back several times as the food was simple, authentic, and of great quality. Their xiao long bao wrapping is not too thick and the broth is, as they said, exactly 1 tablespoon full while not being too greasy. Their glutinous rice mochi like fried pumpkin dessert is also consistently impressive. However, during our most recent visits, the quality of meat in the pork chop has dropped, but it could’ve just been because we got an unlucky cut. Overall, the flavors are solid and I recommend joining the waitlist 1-3 hours in advance.

2023-07-29 23:16:15If youve been to Din Tai Fung, you are familiar with soup dumplings. Paradise Dynasty takes things up a notch with larger amounts of soup and a slightly richer base. Their noodles are flavorful and their green beans spicy. The wok shrimp was basic but tender. I have since returned and enjoyed the dumplings the most. I would choose Paradise over Din every time. The wait can be long, so expect to wait unless you come off hours.

2023-10-17 03:06:59I recently dined at Paradise Dynasty this Saturday, and it exceeded all my expectations. The experience was nothing short of phenomenal, and I can confidently say that it surpasses even the renowned Ding Tai Fung. Firstly, their host was really cordial to us and informed us the wait wasn’t too long and mostly about 30 mins. The first standout aspect was the warm hospitality and exceptional service provided by Manager Charlie and our server, Henry. They ensured a seamless dining experience, going above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Their attentiveness and genuine care for our satisfaction truly set the tone. Now, lets talk about the star of the show - the food! The variety of dishes offered at Paradise Dynasty is remarkable, catering to a diverse range of tastes. However, the true gem was the Pork Chop Fried Rice. Its an absolute delight for the taste buds, with the perfect balance of flavors and textures. I was left in awe of how delicious each bite was. The team also recommended us to try their seasonal laksa XLB which honestly was the best flavor we have ever had.In comparison to Ding Tai Fung, Paradise Dynasty unquestionably stands out. The quality of food, the range of options, and the exceptional service by Manager Charlie and Henry make it a top-tier dining establishment. They are really efficient and friendly to us at all time. Im already looking forward to my next visit and another delightful experience at Paradise Dynasty. Five stars without a doubt! Will definitely be back with a group of friends and trying more stuff.

2023-11-26 20:11:35Good meal with good service at Paradise Dynasty. We had their Special Xiao Long Baos which includes 8 different flavors to try along, the spicy pork and shrimp wonton, their fried noodles, and the salted egg yolk xlb for dessert.

2023-07-30 15:26:20Located in the back of the Bloomingdales in the South Coast Plaza Shopping Mall, along with other restaurants and food stands.Upon arrival, check in with the hostess was quick, took down my phone number and an automated text was sent when we were able to be seated. Anticipated to be an hour wait, we were called in 15 minutes for a party of two.Since there were only two of us we opted to go for mainly XLB (Xiao long bao, soupy dumplings). We ordered the Original, Crab, and Chicken Pate, however they ran out of the Pate Dumplings so we went for the Truffle Dumpings instead, all orders of 6 dumplings per basket (option is for 6 or 10). We also got the garlic pea shoots and two orders of the garlic abalone with glass noodles.Food was pricey, but tasty. Service was quick, however they ran out of small dishes so ginger, hot sauce, and dumpling sauce had to be applied directly to our spoons as opposed to a dipping bowl. I was a bit surprised that they would run out of dipping bowls as XLB dumplings seem to be their main staple. Finely sliced ginger was not immediately on our table, but was brought after being requested, again, surprising since this is a traditional condiment to XLB.For our drinks we ordered a mango soda with crystal boba and a passion fruit tea with brown sugar boba. The flavor of the mango soda was a bit muted, my guess is that the drink is mango flavoring added to a glass of sparkling water. The passion fruit tea was really good, however the texture of the boba lacked the typical chewiness and was a bit more of a soft crunch. After ordering the XLB and veggie, we wanted a little more food to round out the meal so we decided on the garlic abalone with glass noodles. The abalone was chewy but not overcooked, seasoned perfectly with a lot of garlic, however the glass noodles were a bit over done and soggy. All in all, the food was pretty good, but pricey, the service had a little more to be desired. In the same mall is Din Tai Feng, if you want a bit more in the ways of consistency and service you may want to look there. However for a 15 minute wait on a Friday at 630pm with no reservation, I was not disappointed.

2023-08-23 06:48:49Ok- this place is Amazing!!! Probably one of the best Asian restaurants I’ve been to in OC.We got a little bit of everything- so we got a good idea of how everything tasted.Definitely recommend the pork cutlet, the dim sum (it’s what they’re known for), fried shrimp and walnut w/mayo 🤤.We will be back, but I hope we get a better sever (he wasn’t the best).

2023-08-27 14:52:53My friends and I decided to check out this restaurant for a late lunch. Unfortunately, they dont let small groups like us make reservations online. So, we had to go there in person and wait in line for about 10-15 minutes. Funny enough, once we were finally seated, we noticed plenty of empty tables around.Thankfully, our waiter was really nice and the food turned out to be quite good, although the portions were pretty small. We tried their original specialty bao, the wonton vinaigrette, and the prawn wontons. They were all delicious! But even though it was a nice experience, I dont think well be coming back. There are just so many other places that we prefer.

2023-07-21 21:52:02Paradise dynasty needs to open up many more locations in LA. PD is such a breathe of fresh air compared to the tried and true soup dumplings of DTF.In the 🌈 colored XLB sampler, there are many more hits than misses. Especially good are the Szechuan pepper, garlic, and crab xlbs. The flavors come through as intended, and yet the dumpling remain juicy. The dumpling skin are always satisfactorily thin, and the pork inside is fresh and light. The ones I would pass on are the truffle ones(not worth the premium price) and the cheese ones(probably good for kids).I would visit PD a lot more often if they have locations closer to me in LA. Another bonus is that the line isnt as long as DTF. Seems like the masses havent fully discovered this place yet.
