My husband and I moved in September 2023. Kevin Wences has been wonderful through the whole process, answering emails, professional, and friendly. Great experience. We love it. The apartment is modern, clean and spacious. The grounds are beautiful, swimming pool and hot tub, grills, fireplace on cool nights and downtown Monrovia location.

Of all the places we saw in Monrovia, Paragon was the most welcoming.I made an online appointment to tour the building and met with Kevin shortly after. Kevin was helpful throughout the entire process - from touring, applying, moving in, and still is. Kevin showed us what options Paragon had to offer as we searched for a one-bedroom unit with our dog.We are enjoying the location, the community, and the amenities. The complex is clean and we appreciate the buildings design. It has a centrally located pool with direct sun and a grilling area. We also have a lounge room, gym, and an attached parking structure. The units have high ceilings, are spacious, and the interior finishes are updated. The complex and surrounding areas are very walkable.Maintenance is quick on addressing our needs. Johnny worked around our schedule and dog when we needed assistance fixing the garage disposal we messed up.We are enjoying the community and look forward to spending the holidays here. If youre considering Paragon, I would recommend it. Staff will make you feel right at home.

Paragon apartments are a very nice community to live in, surrounded with beautiful views, the installations are well maintained, our apartment is working very good for about 3 months now. I had a non urgent request in the first day, and this was immediately addressed by our Leasing Agent Kevin Wences, he has been highly committed with us since the first time I stepped in to obtain information, following up to signing our lease contract and every time we have a request, he has been very helpful and friendly, always concerned to give us the best customer experience, thanks so much Kevin, for helping us on the process and make it so easy.

My wife and I moved in the beginning of June and we finally feel like we are home. Kevin Wences was amazing wit hthe entire leasing process through move in. He was responsive and helpful, at times going out of his way to make sure all our requests we accommodated.We also received help from Shaneice and Erin during the move in.The property itself is beautiful and kept up. We have a nice new pool deck ready for Summer. The community has been great and we are happy to be part of it.

We’ve been at Paragon for about a month now while our house is being renovated. We chose this as our temporary new home because of the location, price and that it’s dog friendly.It’s been a smooth process from the beginning. It was easy to schedule a tour online, the staff is very responsive and friendly, and we instantly felt at home. We downsized from our 2 bedroom house to a 1 bedroom apartment, but it’s still enough room for us and our 2 dogs. My dogs miss their yard, but they get a couple walks a day, I feel safe walking them in the early morning and at night. I just wish there was a fenced area they can run around, but we make it work. The noise level is minimal, and dare I say quieter than our house (we lived on a busier street with neighbors who liked to sing and have a rooster). The parking structure feels safe, and there is plenty of guest spots if you have an extra car or someone visiting. I also like that your parking spot is on the same level as your apartment to make it easier to move or take things in, rather than always having to use stairs or an elevator. There are lockers for packages and the system they use is really easy and safe to retrieve your packages. I’ve seen some packages to the side of the lockers though, but so far I haven’t had any issues. We’ve had one issue with our door lock but maintenance came right away (this was a Saturday morning) and fixed it within the hour. The gym could have more equipment but it gets the job done and is clean. The resident lounge is a nice party room residents can reserve through the apartment website. They also had a complimentary wrapping station there for the holidays which I thought was a nice touch (especially because I hate wrapping gifts).I definitely would recommend renting at Paragon.

My mother lives here at Paragon and has always spoke very highly of it. The staff has always been very generous and accommodating to her. She has mentioned that Kevin and the front desk staff always treat her well. I’m not usually one to write reviews but I’m very appreciative of the Paragon team helping her.

My family has lived at the Paragon in Old Town Monrovia for several years. It’s a beautiful building and the apartments are spacious, well-designed, and comfortable. The views of the mountains and the valley are wonderful. The Paragon has been my family’s refuge during the pandemic. We felt safe and secure there. The staff has always been quick to respond to our requests. Kenny Su, the Community Manager, is always very friendly and caring, and is especially attentive to tenant needs. I highly recommend the Paragon to anyone looking to lease an apartment home in the area.

I recently signed my 13th lease at the Paragon. I really can’t imagine living anywhere else.When I first moved here in July of 2010, I planned on staying a year and then buying another home. I guess plans have a way of taking a turn…After a year, I knew this was my forever home. Everything I need is here!Beautiful grounds, wonderful amenities, super restaurants within walking distance, great people working in the leasing Office and I feel really safe here.And speaking of the employees who work here at The Paragon, they ALWAYS have your back. Kenny, the Assistant Manager is, and has been “my go to guy” since he joined the team about 3 1/2 years ago. Whenever I have a question or need something, he is always there. Mauricio and Lloni who take care of not only ALL the maintenance issues, but any issues inside the apartments as well. I have first hand knowledge on that, as they have both been in my apartment during the day and night fixing something over the past 5 years. As a matter of fact I recently saw Mo (as I call him) working on something on his day off. And last but not least, the new leasing agent, Kevin in my opinion is a great addition to the “team”.Thanks to everyone for all of your continued help.In closing, if anyone reading this, is looking for a “new home” the Paragon would be perfect!Thanks, Karen Humphrey

I have lived in many apartment complexes and my experience at Paragon at Old Town has by far been the best. I have now lived here for over three years. I recently had a large maintenance issue which required ongoing repair work inside my unit for about two weeks. First, Paragon insisted on quality repairs. They immediately had outside experts in my unit to assess the problem and begin remedies. Second, they were incredibly efficient, and did everything possible to have the repairs completed in a timely fashion. Finally, they communicated with me throughout the entire process. It was a stressful situation but the staff at Paragon did everything in their power to make things as easy as possible for me. Other complexes would have dragged out the repairs and just done the bare minimum -- not Paragon.On a regular day to day basis the building staff is always easy to reach for maintenance or any other issues. I have never had anything but friendly and helpful interactions with each of them. Its nice that they dont just stay holed up in their offices, I frequently see them around the complex which makes them more of a friendly face versus the typical maintenance guy or person who works in the leasing office. I have lived in many complexes with high staff turnover so youre constantly dealing with someone new. I have noticed that Paragon has very little turnover, and that consistency is helpful.Thank you to everyone at Paragon for making this a great place to live!

The move in process is super smooth, Kevin helped me out from the beginning. After moved in, we had little issues with the sink, and Kevin took care of it within 2-3 days. He really takes care of the tenants at Paragon.

My elderly aunt moved into this complex about 4 years ago and has nothing but praise for the entire Paragon team who are very helpful and pleasant. Maintenance requests are promptly taken care of. Kudos to the staff at Paragon. We have often recommended Paragon to friends.

My intellectually disabled sister and I are grateful to you, Amanda, and to all the lovely and courteous representatives we have met at the Paragon. The gracious hospitality and assistance we have experienced over the years has been, and continues to be, exceptional.We have a nice view from our unit and enjoy living at the Paragon, in Monrovia, CA and feel a little safer and secure in our gated community. The premises are well maintained in this beautifully landscaped building.Soon we will be building on this five-star experience as we transition to a similar residence, out of state. It is truly about maintaining a quality relationship with Sequoia Properties, the parent company of the Paragon. Near or far, my sister and I can count on their excellent staff of professionals.

This apartment complex is very quite, new, good amenities, and close to a very cute downtown. I ended up picking an apartment closer to work but my experience with the staff here was excellent. Chase gave us our tour and was great start to finish. My dad has hearing issues and chase picked up on that right away (he started speaking louder so he could hear him). His attention to detail was great. If you have any questions about this place definitely ask chase!

Paragon is a great place to live.The entire staff is extremely professional, welcoming, and consistently provide excellent service. Vanessa is always available to help out when needed and a great asset to the community.The building management is very responsive and open to tenant ideas and requests. There is also a lot of community events and activities that bring all of the residents together.The grounds are really nicely kept, the staff does a great job of helping & taking care of important issues.The common areas are gorgeous and very well maintained by the wonderful maintenance staff who are constantly cleaning the building to make sure it looks its best. The fitness area and the many sitting/reading/relaxing areas are all beautiful and also well maintained. I give the Paragon two thumbs up.

I took a tour and applied to a unit at Paragon Old Town, and I have nothing but good things to say about the management team (Kenny in particular) and the building. Its a quality place, and Kenny took a lot of time with me and helped me through the application process. This is a quality building with excellent management staff!

I moved into this building and currently live here since February of 2020. The drain pipe of our sink clogged and the apartment was flooded while we were out of town. The property management had the drain cleared and tried to clear the case when we informed them that a mold issue would occur. Only then did they tear the walls apart and attempt to dry out the walls correctly. With the pandemic the pool and gym were shut down and 6 weeks after the state of California has approved them to reopen it still isnt open. Weve been informed that when it is open it will be during the staffs working hours only. I feel like the company cut staff for financial reasons and has decided on profits over their residents. The carpets are often filthy now and the elevators are dirty. I am not criticizing the staff.They are hard workers but are understaffed. Without the amenities this is just an overpriced 800 sq. Ft. Apartment. The company has offered zero in rent reduction for their inability to properly deal with the pandemic. The management is strong on their sales pitch but underwhelming in delivering service to their residents. Very dissatisfied.

I have lived at the Paragon for almost 8 years (I moved in the summer it first opened). When I leased here it was only for a year and then I was going to purchase a home. But after a year I fell in love with the area entire community and The Paragon became my forever home.Last Fall new owners took over and have been making some wonderful changes and upgrades. Yesterday, I came home and we now have new luxury patio furniture by the pool to go along with our newly upgraded barbecue area. This is just one of the many features that are being implemented in our community.I would like to thank Lynda, Vanessa and especially Micah (who has been at the Paragon for almost 5 years) for always being there!

Mauricio is such an awesome guy on the maintenance team.He came to fix a faulty door knob once and we got to talking about smart locks and he suggested one that works really well with the patio door.I had to request him a second time since he clearly knew what he was doing and all I have to say is this is the guy you want to call upon when something is broken. Knows exactly how to fix things and offers great suggestions. Installed the smart lock with ease and works like a charm!

We were looking for a rental apartment in the general Pasadena area. I was Very impressed with the staff from my very first phone call. Though I worked Mostly with Amanda at the leasing office, everyone at the front office is very professional, welcoming and helpful. The apartment is very well planned and comfortable and you cannot beat the location!

Very clean and nice apartment building located in downtown Monrovia. It is walking distance to many restaurants and shopping with a farmers market in front every Friday night. The office staff is friendly and accommodating. Good place to live!

I’m very disappointed in how I was treated after bringing concerns of mold forward. Further, rent is inflated, the garage gate is regularly broken, which leads to safety concerns, and the overall care and cleanliness of the building has worsened significantly ever since Sequoia took over management. Even during Covid, I would often have to call to ask that hallway carpets were vacuumed, let alone cleaned. Trash would regularly be present in the hallways for days. When neighbors moved out, I had to call and ask that their dirty refrigerator, dishwasher, and oven be removed from just outside my door (also during Covid) after being there for nearly a week.

This is a great and happy family community. You have access to Old town Monrovia, its just outside the building. There is a Friday Market held right in front of building too. If you are looking for a great hang out place and you want peace and quiet, just drop by the community lounge.The community managers /consultant -Kenny and Yasmine, THEY ARE SUBERB. They handle everything so swiftly. So attentive. They do not make you wait. Well that’s my experience. VERY Professional. Great Work Ethics. They do make the place like a real community. Bless their work. IF there is a problem, they help find solutions. They have a professional and a personal approach. GREAT fusion of energy.Small dogs are allowed. So this is Good. ;)Johnny - the maintenance tech- OMG- he is so honest. Praise God for people like him.THE PLACE IS ever clean. AWESOME. AWESOME. AWESOME.If you want to smell flowers— go to the pool area!!!

I delivered documents to a tenant at Paragon.During my delivery, I stopped by the office to see if they had any vacancies because the community was so beautiful and the location is phenomenal. The staff was so friendly and sincere. I hope to lease an apartment with them very soon!

The staff namely yasmeen and kenny have been so helpful to me. They were great when i lived there but even after moving out they made sure i received deliveries and mail that were still going to the apartment. They checked, followed up and kept me updated with what may have been delivered in my name and showed great concern and compassion in addressing whatever request i had despite no longer being a resident. As far as staff goes i can honestly they are the best i’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with.

We have lived in this apartment for 2 years while we were in Los Angeles. The manager Yasmin, Kenny, Amanda and all other wonderful service staff, they are really and professional! They are always full of hospitality and worked really fast and accurately. They are very reliable, contact me regularly even after we moved this apartment. The location is great and there are many restaurants and retail stores within walking distance. If we could live in Monrovia again, I would definitely choose this apartment! I have already recommended Paragon for 3 family of my Japanese friends!I dont think there is any other choice for Japanese people living in this area. Above all, our staff is reliable and does their job accurately. Apartments like this are rare in America. It is safe and has good security, ensuring safety. There is no need for cars to be tampered with inside the garage or indoors. The school district for public elementary schools is also very good. Compared to surrounding apartments, the apartment was more comfortable than the price difference.
