I was out Pasadena way, and I always ask the locals where to eat. My client recommended the Pasadena Sandwich Co. I really liked the look and feel of the shop and the service was prompt and friendly. I opted for the trust the cook option on the menu as thats always the best and most telling place to start when trying a new restaurant. I was not disappointed. It was a mountain of meat and bread. I thought it was quite tasty and a good value for the price. The only critique is that the pastrami was a little more stringy than I wouldve preferred but not so much so that I removed it. If youre hungry in Pasadena, give this shop a shot

These sandwiches were delicious and so filling. I highly recommend the Virginian and be brave with Trust the Cook. The fries were crispy and delicious with ketchup.

PSC popped up when I opened Google maps and the pictures alone told me I had to try it out. I enjoy a proper sandwich.There are many options to choose from and because of that I couldnt choose! So I had someone choose for me. I ordered a Trust the Cook.They didnt skimp on anything when it came to my sandwich.I would order a TTC again because it was nice to try something I would never order on my own

I got Turkey, Roast Beef with Extra Swiss. Isnt it beautiful? There are not many places to get a good deli sandwich in LA, if youre a sandwich lover you know its really miss most places but PSC hits the nail on the head. The staff is beyond friendly, I felt like family!

Pasadena Sandwich Company is an absolute gem. I was hooked after my first visit. The quality and quantity of food is excellent. I normally place phone orders and eat back at work. I ordered in person today and they greeted me by name. Idk how they even remember me, but small attention to detail like this is why PSC is a staple in this community. This is the value, service and quality you look for and continue to support. Ive been coming for about a year and the quality is consistent. I love sandwiches and this place is UNMISSABLE. It’s everything you want in a friendly local lunch spot and the gal at the register remembered my name and was so friendly and personable that it really left an impression. To say nothing of the fresh baked bread and meat piled high. Don’t skip the potato salad! It’s really affordable too. Can’t wait to go back!

Genuinely, a real treasure of Pasadena. About 9 years ago I went to a job interview where the interviewer INSISTED we went to PSC, and Ive been hooked ever since! I wish I had discovered it sooner in life :)John, the owner, goes above and beyond. We recently ordered catering and it came on time, the food and fixings were perfect, and our family was thrilled with how packed the sandwich was. John even called to check if everything went well.Liz Lemon on 30 Rock once said All of humankind has one thing in common: the sandwich. I believe that all anyone really wants in this life is to sit in peace and eat a sandwich - and this place truly embodies that philosophy.Dont eat at a Subway, or a Jersey Mikes - no. Now this place knows how to make one hell of a rueben sandwich. It was meat packed and the bread was fresh. I do wish they would have added a little more thousand island, but thats OK. :) I wasnt a fan of their potato salad, but that negligible when you consider how perfect of a sandwich they give you. Staff even came out at one point and gave some fries on the house. The atmosphere was also very cute. Ill be a repeat customer moving forward! Its a little hole in the wall, but its worth the search.

WOW! such an amazing sandwich. I ordered the Turkey Supreme and looooved it! My husband ordered the Chicago sandwich. We were both pleased and happy with the quality of the meat and bread! A bit pricey but you’re getting a lot! Next time we’ll just order 1 sandwich and share. They had a few outdoor tables available which was lovely. We’ll be back :)

Tried everything on the menu so now its usually Trust the Cook for me and its always so good. Its so good I make it a point for me to walk back inside and let the cook know how delicious the sandwichs are. The service is great and the sandwiches are great! While we were waiting to order a worker gave us sliced oranges for our son and they even brought out our order when it was ready. We had the Chicago and a custom turkey sandwich both were very good! I just recommend passing up on the macaroni salad. It was kinda dry and bland. We will definitely be going back and looking forward to trying the other sandwiches!

The sandwiches deserve 5 stars. Been here a few times and have never been disappointed with the food. Knocking a star off for the long wait I had to get 4 sandwiches. It took 30 minutes! Others ahead of me got their sandwiches before me. Not sure what the reason was for the delay. None was offered when I asked about my order. Ill still come back but if this happens again Ill revise my review further downward.

This is my first visit since the pandemic first started and theyre still the best deli shop around! Just the Cook is the most interesting option because you have no idea what youre going to get. This last time, we had a combination of salami, turkey, roast beef, I think a little pastrami, cheddar cheese all of the side of fries. We share the sandwich because I have sandwich is probably more than enough to fill you up! So glad the spot survived the pandemic in the onslaught of closed restaurants.

Amazing sandwiches! Very expensive but piled high with quality meat and fillings. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. The interior atmosphere is quirky and fun, and theres a line out the door. I loved the Virginian, but I was envious of my friends Trust the Cook selection. Without any recommendation we pulled this sandwich shop up off the internet. Trusting their ratings we decided to give it a try. I can’t tell you how wonderful the experience was. Firstly just walking into this place with the wonderful aroma of their food we knew we had made the right choice. Secondly their menu selections are amazing and each one of us were very pleased with our order. But what I would like to mention mostly are the kind, funny and very helpful staff that made the experience an even more pleasant one. You have heard the phrase “be kind as you never know the battles people are fighting”, well nothing was more true on this day as we had chosen to take our lunch back to eat in the parking lot of the City of Hope while waiting for my brothers first appointment after being diagnosed with cancer. The humor and the light heartedness of the staff had us in stitches and it was truly an appreciated deflection from the worry and sadness we were experiencing on this day! Thank you to the awesome staff... I didn’t catch the name of the young man that pulled the prank on us but ... thank you for making our day and experience at “The Pasadena Sandwich Company” an unforgettable experience. Super popular lunch place with fantastic sandwiches and service! Its family-owned and members of the family actually work there! The sandwiches were huge, the salads were excellent versions of the standards (macaroni, potato, tuna), and the indoor seating area was comfortable enough. We had a great chat with the current family member running the joint! She was super patient with my indecisive mother who was trying to order catering for a party on top of our lunch. Ordered 3 turkey and one veggie, no drinks, no sides and it was over $60. I wanted to say F that but was intrigued, needed to know if it was worth it. The answer is no. They were mediocre at best. WAYYYY TOO MUCH meat for starters, so gross. The bread was stale and underwhelming, bread makes or breaks a sandwich and this was worse than Subway. Meat and bread were not good quality. Bummers. Always like to leave a positive, staff were friendly.

Having all these aspects come together just so is a rarity for an eatery and no easy feat. This was a to go order - Got 2 Philly Cheese steak sandwiches and 2 fries. Portions were good, fries were good but were cold. A lot of meat could have done without the lettuce and needed more cheese. I asked if there was ketchup in the bag, I was told yes but there wasnt.

Sandwiches so big theyll make your jaw hurt. Huge portions and a wide variety of vegetable toppings. Not a huge fan of their bread -- at times, its like basic grocery bread -- but they make up for it with their fresh meats and cheeses. I usually make my own sandwich, but their classics are great too. Can get pricy as sandwiches often come out to about $17, but still worth it! Always friendly and fast service.

My favorite sandwich shop. I have been coming here for years. The first sandwich I ever had here was a hot ham sandwich. It was great. Overall it was a terrible experience. I’ve been on a sandwich kick lately and saw all the great reviews but was disappointed by PSC. I much prefer Pulciano’s Deli and Cafe. Service is very good there too but the sandwiches aren’t built like the “kitchen sink” at Claim Jumpers. Pulciano’s instead of throwing in a ton of extra gratuitous meat, puts a focus on great taste and balance.PSC Sandwiches were meh…. Way too much meat to bread ratio. I don’t need to have a handful of meat on the side that I need to find bread for later. We got the Sheepherder, Philly, Trust the cook, and a corned beef… clam chowder and Baja chicken enchilada soups and the chili fries 😖. The shepherder was pretty good and a couple could share one. Kids liked the corned beef which was pretty tasty. The Trust the Cook was huge but not tasty at all. Today’s version had macaroni, fries, wilted lettuce shreds, and dry pastrami and Turkey. It was basically all the stuff they were going to throw out. The Philly wasn’t good either… The soups were fine but the beans were undercooked in the Baja. The chili fries tasted like a can of pinto beans tossed over fries… probably the worst I’ve ever had. The Philly was dry, not enough onions or peppers, lack of flavor and again very dry… worst I’ve ever had.This is one of those places that get glowing reviews for seemingly no reason. Perhaps the customers are used to bad sandwiches. I don’t know….

Let me preface this by saying I’m already not a fan of old school NY deli sandwiches. That being said the sandwich was just ok for me. I had the reuben and could’ve had about $10 less meat. I just dont like a huge sandwich and a ton of meat. Impo it’s so out of proportion it makes it hard to eat and overpowered by meat. I had to take half or more of the meat off and wasnt going home so I couldnt save it. What a waste. The coleslaw was not my fave and was luke warm ugh. Well I found the Pasadena Sandwich Company when I was looking for, of course, a sandwich. Noticing the other ratings were pretty good, I said I got to try this place. It seems a little tiny, the small counter to order up, and just a few tables, and a few tables kind of in a hallway, and people coming for to-go orders right and left. I guess if your local here you have enough sense to know to order in advance and come and get it itll be ready well I had a sandwich there and it was huge and wonderful. Let me repeat that it was huge and wonderful, and I liked it and I should have just eaten half but I ate the whole thing. God it was good. Ill be coming through Pasadena again and Im stopping here. This place has the BEST service, hands down. They are incredibly hospitable and friendly. They always have giant smiles on their faces - in the most genuine way. Today, we got there at 2:45, not knowing they closed at 2:30. One of their employees, saw us, ran after us and told us they would let us in and make us a sandwich!!! Yesterday was a tough day...and had not eaten all day when I decided to try the Pasadena Sandwich Shop for the first time...only to discover they close at 3PM. The crew was cleaning inside and let me come in anyway...and made me the late night special to-go. Parking: There is a small parking lot in the back of the store. The parking lot is shared with the different business in the building, so it can be packed. Luckily there is street parking.I got the french dip sandwich. Definitely a must try since there are four types of meat pressed together and dipped into a glorious meat sauce. My friend got the sheephearder and it is a towering glory of corn beef. A bit more expensive but a bigger sandwich. I am definitely going back since it is definitely freshly made to order.The wait can be a bit long since it does get busy and people order large orders to go. The server is really friendly and sweet. I finally had a chance to visit Pasadena Sandwich Company with my friend after hearing a lot of buzz about it. And like everybody says, the sandwiches are humongous, but worth the price. Youre able to order at the counter for to-go orders, or you can sit down at a table to have your order be taken.The storefront is quite small with a few tables at the main entrance as well as a few more around the side. But because people pretty much eat and then leave, you wont have to wait too long for a table. Theres a small lot in the back for parking, but there is also residential parking close to the restaurant. I really like the atmosphere of the restaurant. Everybody is super nice and seem really relaxed and happy. That in turn makes you, the customer, feel just as relaxed and excited to eat the food. Theres also a very homey vibe to the restaurant.My friend and I decided to split Trust the Cook ($12). Basically its whatever the cook is feeling like making for you that day. All you know for sure is that the sandwich will be enormous. Im not sure if we had to pay extra to split the sandwich, but we did request to have them split the side order into one of the potato salad and macaroni salad. The sandwich came with a pickle, pepper, some fruit, and we also received some chocolate kisses.I dont exactly know what was in there, but I do know that it tasted good. There were more than 3 different meats, more than 2 types of cheese, tomatoes ... it was a good combination. I also really liked the potato salad, which is their most popular side. The macaroni salad didnt have very good flavor in my opinion. I could barely finish half of my sandwich, so I would definitely say this place has good leftovers for dinner since they only open until about 3.One other unique thing about PSC is that they have a ton of different and unique sauces on the side for you to try. I think there was cranberry mustard, Sriracha mustard - we tried almost everything! This is a small sandwich shop located in East Pasadena. Its quite a drive from the office, but my coworkers often insist that it is the best deli sandwich that you can get around here. Yeah, its pretty good AND filling.The layout is confusing at first. Theres an inside and an outside-ish section. Outside-ish being in a corridor between 2 buildings, but its still covered from the elements. Both sections are fully serviced by waiters but seating is not exactly strict either. Sit at a table or be assigned a table, and youll eventually get service from one of the friendly waiters here.-=-The Chicago on Onion Roll-=- This sandwich is where its at. The amount of meat that they stuff in this sandwich is ridiculous. I decided on the Chicago since I was undecided between the corned beef and pastrami, so why not get both. Im not a fan of rye, so I switched it out for the onion roll. Regardless, this entire sandwich will be consumed by the meats. Even the swiss cheese mattered less. This hulking sandwich will have you yelling mercy about halfway through.-=-PSC Philly-=- I was feeling like a hot sandwich so I tried this today. I wasnt feeling it. Yes, they put Philly in quotes to designate that its not really a Philly, but in order to even claim it there needs to be ooey gooey melted cheese dominating over the beef. This sandwich didnt quite have that. The PSC Philly did adhere to the tons-of-meat requirement though. PSC is still the king of deli sandwiches, so stick to one of those if this is your first visit.

The sandwiches were huge the only thing is when I ordered my sandwich with no onions they gave it to me with onions but after waiting all that time I just didnt want to go back but I would go back how awesome the sandwich was they even gave us free drinks and cookies because it took longer than normal to get the sandwich they went out of their way so definitely go back
