I just came to the United States to eat once. I havent been here for a long time. The decoration of the store and the food are different. Its very good. The curry is delicious.

Great food with outdoor seating. Love that this places offers that and has seafood in their Tom kha as an option. The food is usually spicy so be sure to mention that you want mild or no spice.

This is one of my very favorite Thai places. The food is delicious but the lunch special is even better. Less than $8 for soup, salad, wontons, rice and a choice of entree. Pictured is my favorite, the Pad See Ew but the Pad Thai is also killer too. The staff is super sweet and getting takeout is so easy. They deliver too!

My go to Thai resto in SoPasadena. Three star for food and a star for service. They have good food and very friendly staff that offers quality service. The place is clean and neat. Prices are $ affordable. Lunch specials are great deal. They delivery too.

Hidden in a strip mall this gem serves authentic and delicious Thai food. Loved the Panang Curry in particular. We will be back here regularly.

Beef dish was inedible, pad thai was dry and the chicken in pad see moa was suspect. This was my favorite Thai restaurant, but I will not return while the Health Dept. grade remains a C!!

This place has really gone down hill in recent years. This place used to have really incredibly good Thai food for the money, but now you’re honestly much better off getting recipes to make at home from Trader Joe’s. The price is high and the food quality and flavors are just not there anymore.

A NEW OWNER took over 2 years ago, the PRICES are too HIGH and the quality of food too LOW. Portions of food are ridiculously SMALL. Too bad, we used to like this place.

We always noticed this little place while driving by and finally decided to try it.The food was delicious though the portions were a bit small for the price. The staff was attentive and friendly. Theres ample parking and outdoor patio dining.Well go again. Its the best (only?) Thai in South Pasadena.

Second time ordering from here. The food is not good. No flavor. They must use the cheapest of ingredients. The chicken was mostly grizzle, the crab cakes did not taste of crab at all. I actually did not eat my food. I ordered take out and they gave me no utensils or napkins. I will not be going back here again.

My wife and I used to eat here every week when we lived nearby. It was always a wonderful experience. My wife and I were discussing our favorite restaurants of all time and this was our number one choice. We miss you, Patakan!

If youre looking for reasonably priced Thai food in South Pasadena, then this is a good spot. Patakan used to be an Old Town and they moved to this location years ago and parking is actually much easier. Flavors are authentic but not the best Ive had. Again, value is the play here and the staff is pretty nice.

Tip: fast, easy, affordable lunch specials. Free delivery within a few miles radius.This is our go to Thai place in the nearby area. Its easy, has a great taste. We usually order delivery, but decided to go in once. Place is a bit small, crowded with working types at lunch time.

Call ahead for pick up/take out. Food is very good and fresh. You can do your own vegetarian dishes, just order the protein on the side. This business is working very hard during these difficult times and deserve our support.

This is a small place in the far corner of a strip mall. If you look fast, you may miss it but once you find it, you are in for a treat. The food was great tasting and fresh. The one thing I am most impressed with is the Thai Tea... unlike many other places I had it, theirs has just the right amount of sugar. No need to drink a gallon of water after.

Our favorite Thai restaurant in Pasadena. They are always friendly and let us sit on the patio with our dog. The food is ALWAYS so delicious. The only thing that is irritating about this place are the TVs inside. It kinda ruins the whole dining experience.

Previously loved their food, but my last two orders have been terrible.-There was a panang chicken curry that had chewy and uncooked chicken. They replaced our food and the followup was good.-This time we get a chicken pad thai and a chicken pineapple fried rice, and the taste of both was just off and now my husband is starting to feel sick to his stomach.I forgave them once because Id loved them before, but twice messed up this bad means Ill never order from them again.

Food is always very good, never had a bad meal. I use the delivery service and they are by far the most timely and best tasting Thai in Pasadena, South Pas, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, and Alhambra. I recommend it!

Staff are attentive, friendly and accomodating. Restaurant is clean, well lit and has a good vibe in it. Food is prepared in a timely manner and taste good, as well. It has about 3 or 4 outside tables if you want to dine outside. There is adequate parking space and restroom is relatively clean.

WOW. It is hard to find really good thai food and this place gets it right! I am so grateful that the noodles in my pad thai were not soggy and sticking together in a lump. They were the perfect al dente. This is honestly the first time Ive had pad thai since I moved to LA and was really impressed by the doneness of the noodles. My boyfriend had the green curry and said it was delicious. He also had their mango green tea and claims it is his new favorite beverage. Haha. I went back to Patakan again and had the beef pad see ew with Chinese broccoli. It was awesome. Everything I expect and want from pad see ew. I am so glad I found this place! Where have you been the last 5 years Patakan???

Sooo good! My friend had garlic sticky rice years ago and hasnt been able to find it since. They have it on their menu and I see why she never stopped looking, it was amazing! I could eat it once a week

This place is the best Thai restaurant in the area.There are places with more elaborate setups and central locations, but Patakans food and staff keep me coming back.Even if you have your order delivered, the flavor and quality are still evident.

I have only ever ordered the chicken fried rice for lunch and it keeps me coming back. Very tasty, not cheap but reasonable. And the service is very nice even when they are busy, which you can bet they are at lunchtime.

The food was good as usual. However, they inserted a few meager pieces of chicken into The pai tia chicken plate. I call them on it and mentioned the few small tiny morsels and could actually put some chicken into the plate. They did. However, charged me 2 more dollars for their error. Bad management decision. Im giving them a 2 star for poor mgmt service. However, as the quality of the food goes, I give them a 4.5 star. Note to mgmt. Take care of your customers and they will take care of you. Jae

Decent thai food for the area. Their food is a lot more sweet than spicy and cater to the typical American customer. The thai boat didnt taste anything like most authentic thai restaurant. The Service here is decent.

We come here all the time and tried ordering for delivery. Ordered $17 worth of food and refused to deliver unless I upped it to $19 (a very arbitrary minimum that is not noted on their website). They were willing to lose the order over this. Disappointing.
