Went to Patio Tapatio for the first time. Loved it! Had the Barbacoa tacos, chicken flautas, crunchy tacos, and loaded fries. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The owner Brandon was very friendly and helpful. He spent some time talking to us about other items he recommends. This restaurant is family owned and operated. I personally am a big fan of supporting small and local businesses. Give them a try. You won’t be disappointed!

First impressions were great, there was no one else in the restaurant but as soon as we walked in the lady at the register asked how we wanted to sit and there was 12 of us so she quickly proceeded to put a table together for us and along came the owner to help her out. Which not many owners even show their face. The food was great, it literally tasted home made. Portions are top tier for sure, especially in this economy! The chef/ owner said they’re his grandmas recipes which really touched my heart. He came out to check on us as we were finishing up and really showed he cared. Him and his sons staredted this business and you can tell he has dedication and is very proud, hope they make it far!The only thing I wish I would have said something about was the music, it felt like an antro (or club) in there and we all had our little kids including a baby. Hopefully that’ll change next time.

Food is wonderful, portions are big, and the service was the best part about my experience! Brandon so thoroughly took care of us and it’s one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in recent memory. The mushroom vegan options are excellent, as was the chicken and fried fish in my burrito. I’ve had a few different items off the menu by this point, and each item I’ve had has not disappointed at all (my favorite so far has been the Vegano fries). It’s a little bit out of the way for me, otherwise I’d come more often! But that just makes it all the more special when I am able to come :)

Brand new place, soft opening, I think the grand opening is Sept 18. Homemade style food, not fast food, but the food is really delicious. I had the barbacoa tacos, with birria sauce, excellent. Plenty of flavor and lots of meat. My wife had the Shrimp fried taco, the sauce had a small spicy kick but overall it was scrumptious and very delicious. The price and the amount of food you get is very fair and generous. Victor helped us, very friendly and courteous. Give this place a try, you will love their food.

Worst chilaquiles ever. Didnt come with rice and beans. Was very dry. Sauce didnt have much flavor. No cheese. Definitely not worth the price. They didnt give me any salsa either. Wont return.

Love this place! My partner took me here for lunch! Wonderful service! Very clean dining room! The staff is very friendly and are observant with the menu; they serve excellent Mexican cuisines here. Everything is handmade all the way down to their horchata on the daily. All fresh! One of the servers was very friendly and sweet! He gave us a recommendation for their carne asada fries! Please go here! Check it out! Will be visiting again!

Found this place on IG. Had been wanting to go. Finally had a day off and went for lunch with my wife. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed by Brandon. Treated us like wed been long time customers. Very nice and friendly. One of the other folks there whos name I didnt catch had that same energy. We ordered a hard shell asada taco, fried fish taco, and fried shrimp taco along with a couple of Modelo Negros. The tacos were AWESOME. The hard shell wasnt super thick. It was light and didnt over power the taste of the asada. The fish and the shrimp taco had plenty of meat for the size. The batter didnt break apart when you bit into the taco and the Baja sauce had a great combination of flavor and heat.They did not disappoint.We will be back.

Okay, sooo.... The review.Upon entering, Brandon was very nice and welcoming. The menu was a little hard to read. But he informed me that they would be updating soon.I asked what he recommends and he gave me some options.I told him being from Saint Louis, I was interested to see how they would stack up.I ordered the takisdilla and asada fries.I dined in and Brandon immediately brought over some chips, salsa, and water.The chips and salsa were delicious.The order didnt take long to receive BUT I was so disappointed.The asada fries fell far from the bar I set for them. The presentation was amazing. The guac was good. But this was a miss. Brandon did offer to fix it or allow me to try something else. I declined.The takisdilla was decent. I may order that again.The agua frescas are delicious.I will give this place another chance. I will catch them on another day and try something else. Probably tacos or a burrito.From my experience, everything seemed sanitary. I saw gloves being changed out continuously. Plus the whole place was clean itself.So honestly right now, I would get this place a 3/3.5 but add another star for service and the willingness to accommodate.

Today Was My First Time stopping at this place. Let me tell you Im a Big Fan and Expert on Ceviche Flavor. This Ceviche is soooo Delicious I recommend it to everybody. You wont be disappointed. Great replacement for the old Baja Fresh. Food was fresh and staff was super friendly. They’re know for the barbacoa and it didn’t disappoint. Their asada fries are great too they use the right kind of fry. A little on the pricey side but always feels good to support a local family run Business. Only negative for me was the Jamica was very sweet.

This is an incredible place, from the food to the service! Me and my family came down for a bite and left more than satisfied and definitely will be back! The plates we voted out favorites were the Bean and Cheese burrito, Lengua Taco, Barbacoa Crunchy Taco, Shrimp Diabla crunchy Taco, Hot Cheetohs Quesadilla with the Diabla Shrimp (spicyyyyyyyy, but delicious) and the Melon Aqua Fresca, and Horchata… INCREDIBLE. Took about an hour to get my food. They came to me three times asking me what I ordered. The food was ok, ordered Asada Fries and the fries werent cooked and the avocado was black. The ceviche was good and enjoyed it. Not worth $100+ I paid.

This is my new goto Mexican restaurant. Their food is delicious & authentic. The employees are wonderful & it is nicely located next to the cinema.My boyfriend is VERY particular about food in general, and more so with Mexican food & I took him to Patio & he loved it.Please check out this yummy restaurant; you wont be disappointed.

Food is good. There would be times where I hear someone got a wrong order, or if it happened to me, my friends, or family. Customer service is good. My only real complaint is the last time I ordered there, I called 15 minutes in advance. I get there and pay for the food, and I noticed that they barely even started. After that, I got home and I went to go eat my food, and the employees completely messed up my whole packaging. The lid was condensed on my food. I love that this place is family owned, I think thats why I keep hoping there service will get better. Ive waited 45 min for food when I was told it wld be 15. Ive been there and waited over an hour for food . As far as food goes there is some really good items like their ceviche and not so worth it items like nachos. Its also a little pricey

My husband and I first found this restaurant because it is right next door to the Canyon Country Theater. We had a meal here before going to the movies and have come back regularly since! Their tacos, tostadas, and chips and salsas are fantastic and we are always impressed with the quality of the meats they provide! The staff members are friendly and attentive, all in all a great place place for a meal!

A friend of mine recommended this and I was in the area. I dont regret stopping here. The service was fantastic with the employees donning big smiles! There seemed to be such a good vibe. Since moving to the SCV, I’ve been on a desperate search for Al pastor tacos that include pineapple. Well, not only did I find the Al pastor tacos of my dreams, but I also found my new favorite Taco Tuesday spot! Everything was fantastic. The food was superb and the service was top notch and genuine. I love that they also have vegan and keto options. My husband who is diabetic really enjoyed his keto tacos and I loved the Al pastor, asada, and pollo tacos I got. We both left satisfied and eager to return again soon.

This place is great vibes as soon as you lay eyes on it from a distance. Brandon, the cashier/ server is so polite and handsome; it just adds on to the desire to come back… anyway I came here for the happy hour of $3.15 beers and they come in a bucket with ice which is a wonderful touch because I love cold beer. I didn’t try the food but I saw what people a table over hot and it looks amazing and too notch Mexican food.Who knows maybe I’ll be back tomorrow

This is truly a hidden gem!! It was really amazing! The food is fresh, made to order, and the owners are incredibly nice & humble too. This was the worst eating out experience ever, I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes to be served water, chips and salsa. I later found out the only reason I received that was because of a Good Samaritan who felt compelled for the underserved. My order was never prepared. They claimed they “lost” my order. I was then told my order would be pushed to the front of the line, which it was never done. The sever upgraded my drink to a large which was nice. The cook offered free food which was COLD and OLD. I requested total refund and just canceled my order out of frustration. I still have yet to confirm the refund was processed due to the owner failed to give me a receipt and his father asked me what do I want and to get lost because their busy. The place was very overwhelmed with the rush and has terrible service. Don’t worry I won’t ever return and I’ll endure all my friends and family never patronize this place. Since I was never issued a receipt showing a credit,, I’ll expect to see the refund by the end of business day tomorrow or I’ll consider it fraud . As for your fathers comments, that’s not out of context, your father came to speak to me when I asked for you and said y’all were busy cooking, what did I want

I decided to stop in for lunch today after picking up some amazing cechive for takeout last week. Everything about the food, service, and venue was great! My wife and I heard about a new restaurant next to Edwards movie theater and decided to check it out.WOW! We were greeted by smiling faces and even had the Owner/Chef explain the menu to us. His name is Stephen, and he’s a local boy (even went to Canyon High)We had the Fish Tacos and absolutely loved them!They were preceded with chips and salsa and served by the nicest young ladies. The tacos were so fresh I was looking for the garden, and the fish was white and tender. What ever that sauce was…it was brilliant.We were so happy with our meal and can’t wait to go back and experience the entire menu.They have freshly made horchata and bottled Coke on ice as you walk in…and an alcohol license on the way!In addition, we were welcomed and waited on “hand and foot” by no less than three of the staff (including the Chef).We are so excited to see locally owned eateries back and thriving in Santa Clarita!I urge every foodie to add this one to your list!We will absolutely be back!!

Surprised this place is so popular. There are other Mexican food places nearby that offer better quality food at a more reasonable price. I was excited for the consumé and it lacked the flavor you would expect. It was very watered down. The asada fries were also a disappointment — the meat was tough and they were big dry chunks. It also had the smallest portion of guac. The agua fresca also tasted more like lemonade and less like the fruit flavor. Lastly, i love green salsa and the salsa I got from here was so watered down. I dont believe the food is worth the price and I would not recommend this place to anyone. To each their own, try it for yourself. I wanted to love this place but it was not worth it to me and I cant give it a good rating when nearby establishments have more to offer. Honestly you can get better quality options down the street in any direction.

Been there a couple times. Unfortunately kind of a mixed bag. Food is ok but they change their menu a lot it seems. Service is slow. Apparently they have also changed to more of a take your order at the table place, instead of ordering and then sitting down. To point my wife and I went there the other night and were told to take a seat since we were eating in. We sat down and waited for someone to take our order. And waited, and waited. No one even acknowledged our presence. Finally we gave up and went somewhere else. It was a Tuesday night so it wasn’t that busy. Too bad. I think this place has potential, but they need to figure some things out.

Service was GREAT! Even though you order at the counter, they bring the food to you plus free chips and salsa. The steak quesadilla was super filling, taste was pretty good, includes pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream, but it is $12 (when did quesadillas get so expensive?). The birria braised beef tacos were OK, first time trying them...a little too oily for me, but they had an excessive amount of beef (who complains about that right?). I think this was an ex-Baja Fresh location, same furniture. Overall, decent Mexican food on Soledad Canyon.

I dont think we have ever gone to a restaurant with such amazing customer service. One of the owners was such a nice person very helpful in telling me about their restaurant. I think what my favorite part about this restaurant is that they have vegan options on their menu, which can cater to vegans, vegetarians, pescatariens and almost everyone. The salsas I was given to try were from mild to super spicy but my favorite was the black molcajete one, it has a very unique taste. Now the food was a good size for the price my husband got the Asada Burrito which could use a bit more items inside as his only seem to have rice, asada meat, and onions. I ordered the Vegano Burrito and it was huge very well filled just a bit too much over fill though but no problem with me. They have deserts as well so give them a try. All in all I do recommend this restaurant will definitely be going back as the owner and employees were very welcoming.

Not only is the food great and fresh here, but its authentic Mexican food! Brandon (co-owner) is super friendly always takes the time to chat with us and provides us with the best service. Great service but the worst version of so called “enchiladas”. They weren’t Mexican enchiladas or American ones. The “enchiladas” were basically tacos with corn tortillas that were microwaved!!!!I couldn’t even take a bite with the tortilla in it because it fell apart. I’m not even Mexican and I know that’s a big no no to microwave tortillas and that’s not even close to how you make enchiladas. Not too mention way overpriced. Won’t last. Mark my words.

This is our 2nd time ordering food to go. The first was they messed up our order from Tacos to Barbacoa and now they forgot to put a side of dressing on our cowboy salad but need more pay attention the exact order the customer should get especially on takeout order it will be 5 stars for me. We pretty much order every food on the menu, still high hopes theyll perfect it next time well be planning to visit again to try another foods on the menu. Weve lived in the SCV for 35 years, tried every Mexican restaurant in the area, and Patio Tapatio is our favorite, bar none! The food is so fresh and delicious, whether its the crunchy potato tacos with beans and rice (my fav) or the burritos (which you can get wet, chimichanga style, or regular) and other combo plates. I love that I can get chicken, carnitas, steak or seafood. Brandon and the staff are always so welcoming. Even the chips and salsa are outstanding! Parking is easy.
