Updated with written review:I am Armenian, my wife is Assyrian. One of the best kabob places we have ever tried (Top 3), easily up there with Mini kabob in Glendale, not fair to compare as both have different products. Their Soltani is the best I have had. Good portions, good prices, great atmosphere. Will stop here during every road trip I take.

Love this place. The food is abundantly flavorful and filling. My family and I go often. The owners are so kind and attentive; they make you feel like part of their family. The food was delicious! I went for lunch and it was a perfect portion. My dad got a sandwich that he felt didnt have enough meat on it, and they happily gave him more which they didnt even charge me for! Highly recommended on all levels!

This place was really good. Everything we had was full of flavor. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The Gyro sandwich was fresh and savory. Heck even the water was good. I will definitely return and now I can add Persian food to my list.

One of the best Assyrian weve had with one of the best service from any restaurant. Our server, Sami, was very kind to have us try various types of hummus which expanded our minds to other flavors. Thank you Sami for the great service and allowing us to try the great flavors of each dish, Baklava and tea. We tried chicken, beef and lamb and all were very flavorful and melted in our mouths. We came from Lathrop and was worth the drive. We definitely would come back. Great job Patogh!!!

We have our weekly lunch meetings at Patogh. Great atmosphere, food, and hospitality! They treat us like family every visit. Our favorite dishes are the Dolma appetizer and Lamb Kabob.

We had a great dinner here. Started with kashke bademjan and garlicky hummus. Then 3 of us shared a lamb shank, kubbideh, and chicken skewer with rice seasoned with barberries (kind of like small dried cranberries, but more delicate taste). The lamb could be cut with a fork, very tender and delicious.

I got a chicken breast plate and was quite surprised when I opened my takeout container as it was just rice, chicken, grilled jalapeno and two grilled tomatoes. But wow, the rice is flavourful, chicken is good, and so are the grilled jalapeno and tomatoes. Very tasty food.

I had a wonderful experience here with my mom, and besides the food being wonderful, the staff were wonderful too. I had kashk-e badamjan, dolma, beef soltani, and zereshk polo. The dolma (a filling wrapped in grape leaves and stewed) were my moms favorite and I loved the kashk-e badamjan (an eggplant dip made with dried, fried mint, fried onions, and topped with keshk, which is a salty fermented whey product, a Persian analog to yogurt). The beef soltani, which is tri-tip and koobideh (ground meat formed around a skewer and cooked) was very yummy and very generous. The chicken was perfectly cooked in the zereshk polo (a dish made with saffron and burberries - somewhat like a dried cranberry, sour and sweet) and very tender and juicy. .The service was on point as well. It was really soooo good. Its an awesome surprise to find such good Persian food in the valley!

The waiter hid the bill and put a high price on his side, more than 25 euros, and when we insisted on the bill, he repented it and wrote a request in his handwriting and did not print it on the bill. So the owner of the restaurant does not know. Unfortunately, the waiter is a young man in his twenties who learns fraud at this age.

Tried Patogh for the first time tonight and I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Clean, friendly, prompt, quality food! The customer service was impeccable, and the food did not disappoint. We had a gyro sandwich, hummus, and chicken skewer w/ rice, and baklava for dessert. We stopped in to order take out and the service was speedy and they were so nice they offered us waters to enjoy while we waited (we didn’t accept but what a nice gesture). We brought the food home and everything was delicious!! Good news is there’s leftovers for lunch tomorrow. What a great deal and awesome discovery. Will definitely be back!! Would have posted photos but the food disappeared:)

Family owned and operated. This middle eastern(assyrian-persian) restaurant is absolutely amazing. All of the food is handmade and prepped on site. The bread is baked on site. The Dolma is to die for. Everything is amazing here. Try the lambchops and add butter to the rice to melt in and a creaminess to it. Finish your meal with a turkish coffee and baklava, you will not regret having lunch or dinner here. Super friendly family and very welcoming. Will definitely make this a monthly stop on my travels up n down the 99 corridor.

This was our first visit to Patogh Restaurant in Turlock CA, and sure enough we will go there for lunch whenever we will be in Turlock in the future, as We were so very impressed by the quality of food and the taste. Moreover the place was so clean and nice. The hostess was super kind and polite and helped us with our choice. We ordered two appetizers which were both delicious. Then we had three different kinds of Kebobs. The meat was very tender and tasty and not too greasy. Obviously they had served us the best choice of meet. All this was accompanied by fresh and very clean herbs and onions and of course the house made Dough (Cool Yoghurt drink) which was served in very cute jars. In short we had the best Kabobs in a long time.

I and My Family went to this patogh Restaurant and the place was amazing the setting was a large and clean restaurant the drinks were Amazing the food did not price for seven members was $116 with kids. The service was good and the Food was quickly served and the food was deliciously hot and juicy Not dried up at all. The Plates were designed and organized. But they do not have french fries which was a weak point because we have kids with us so they want fries. Therefore, the visit was amazing and the money was paid off.

The BEST! Our family discovered this little slice of heaven about 6 months ago and we are hooked. This place is always fresh, flavorful and delicious. The ambiance is so relaxing and friendly and the service is always impeccable. The food tastes as if your persian mother cooked it herself. We eat here pretty much weekly now.

Great food! We visited here traveling on a road trip looking for something fresh, tasty, and healthy. They didnt have any vegetarian entrees, but we were still able to build a veggie feast with appetizers and salads. The patio was nice to sit on as we were traveling with a dog. Excellent service! Simply amazing food and great service. We had the dolmas and eggplant for an appetizer. Phenomenally good. The lamb shank was to die for and the chicken beef combo platter was done to perfection. Family owned sit down middle eastern cuisine restaurant. The food here was decent, I ordered lamb kabob with rice and bread with yogurt cucumber dressing. The lamb was cooked perfectly with great flavor. I asked for a glass of red wine and apparently they have only one type of red or white wine because they didnt ask what kind of red and I saw no wine list. We were the only patrons at 6pm on a Saturday night. The decor lacks and is without ambience. The menu is overpriced for such a casual setting.

A little limited on the vegetarian options on the lunch menu, but those they did have were pleasantly flavored, generously portioned and beautifully presented. I tried both eggplant dishes-the jalepeno-tomato based one and the fried one with a creamy consistency, as well as the cucumber-tomato salad. A $3 serving of rice is a dinner sized plate-great place if you love leftovers! Happily satisfied and able to keep the meal gluten-free.

Im going to say, they had recently opened up after have been shut down and remodeled a little from the sale of business. There is so much room for improvement. I was there on April 2017. There was only manager there. Food was cold. I asked for Barg Kabob and he brought me some pieces of grilled meat that does not have anything to do with Barg. They guy was trying to sell food and make money no matter what. The new owner took the place few months ago and the food was good for the first few weeks. Then the quality dropped so bad. Needs more regrious supervision for what they serve. It does cover the basics, however, the execution requires more indepth fundamental changes (babaghonoush). The warm feeling you get from this family owned and operated little hidden gem is outstanding. I’ve been here a few times and the mother-daughter-son trio is pretty special. They get so excited when you return and come up to you with such enthusiasm. It’s a great feeling just walking in, let alone the amazing food made from scratch.When I say made from scratch, I’m talking everything! All the appetizers, the yogurt, the hummus, even the baklava is all handmade in house. There isn’t anything on the menu that isn’t made from scratch. Even the sugar cubes are made from scratch. Their kabobs are above and beyond! I recommend the Chicken Combo and the Beef Soltani that has the beef barg with koobideh.After just a few visits I feel like I’ve known these people for years. They take care of you like your family.
