Ive always had good service and the food is great. However, tonight when I went to order my combo I always get, the server Doug told me I couldnt get it in a combo. Then I asked what I could get, claimed he didnt hear me. Everyone else here is always nice, the afternoon crew are the ones who literally offered the combo....Guess Ill make sure to come back in the afternoon only.Im in customer service and would not be like that to one of my customers.

I had the chili burger with fries and an oreo shake. Everything was fresh and hot. The burger was good, and I had plenty of fries. The whip cream on my shake tasted authentic and homemade.not just out of a can. The atmosphere and staff match the quality of the food and service.

This location has only outdoor dining. Food is good but the only thing that made my family’s experience not so good here is the tables we sat at were dirty. We asked the workers if they can clean our table because it was dirty from the guest before us. Instead they just pointed us to where the towels and cleaning sprays are to clean it out selves. One last thing the tables wobble a-lot since the floor is not even.

Atmosphere is nothing to write home about but the food is out of this world. I got a mushroom burger, fries and zucchini fries. All were insanely good. And while the price seems a little steep the fries is enough for 2 people to easily share (they are very generous). I got it for lunch and it honestly kept me full the rest of the day. I completely skipped dinner so price wise ended up being worth 2 meals in essence.

There are several Pauls Place restaurants.I ate at one recently and decided to recommend their French fries, which are diner style, meaning theyre bigger than typical fries.I asked for a little well done and when they arrived, they were piping hot and delicious!Its an order big enough to share with a second person and cost around $5.Hope you try them.Take a look at these fries!Ill be surprised if you dont agree.

I stopped for dinner and it was delicious, the frys were certified smackin 11 out of 10 super crispy on the outside and soft inside.I got the Colossus burger so damn excited didnt realize it was upsidedown in the pic. 10 out of 10 would smack again,

Great dog friendly patio. Nice for afternoon lunch on huge sun dappled patio. Variety of kinds of food and great music from the late 50s. Its basically a burger joint and food is fair at best but portions are huge. It would be nice if the meat inside the chicken taquitos was seasoned better. Tasted like baked chicken stuffed inside a fried shell. Really good prices though.

Its the last of the 1950s style diners. Its outdoor dining but the weather in Los Alamitos is perfect for it. You can get cheeseburgers or chili cheeseburgers. If you tire of American food, theres gyros with authentic sauce. Its priced on the high side, but dining out is expensive and you get what you pay for.

My fav thing is the Greek pita sandwich with Lamb! Its most delicious with the accompanying container of tanziki!!!Excellent!!! They have an extensive menu...but Im hooked on that one sandwich! Price gouge much? A club sandwich combo here costs more than Hoffs Hut & Katella Deli $15. Drink not included here either or they forgot. Its a vegetarian Club btw. More lettuce than anything. Very little cold cuts. The morning cooked bacon was good.A cheeseburger combo meal is more expensive then Off the Hook which is $18 with candied bacon, caramelized onions, etc while this is a plain burger.And slow as [censor]. This restaurant has been around since I was in high school. I am now 32 years old with children And I still eat here. I even take my kids here. 10 years that Ive been coming here, they always have good service and its delicious food. No complaints for me. I love Pauls!!!!

Outside dining only. The Pastrami sandwiches was extra fatty, and greasy for being grilled per my request. Ask for no ice on drinks, got ice. Many dogs coming in the area barking making me nervous. The wait is long to get your food. They do not give out food in order it is taken. Many people came in after us got there food first. The zucchini was soggy. The food is over priced. When I ask for water they say go to the other window where they ignore you. Cashier area was on the unfriendly side. At the pick up window they was a bit more friendly. I dont want to go there again.

Pauls has great burgers; the chili burger is a favorite. Fantastic sandwiches and salads with their grilled chicken breast. It is so good we love it on our salads and as a sandwich. Lean, flavorful, and plenty pastrami sandwiches. Breakfast is cook to order and yummy! I havent had a bad thing at Pauls. Absolutely worth the price! They keep their dining area clean and it is lovely outdoor seating.

After hearing about how great this place was I decided to give it a try the one on Seal Beach Blvd. Boy I will never go back and ended up giving the sandwich to the dog. I ordered a pastrami sandwich. Got it home pastrami was so dry. Then bit into the sandwich and tasted no mustard. Opened the entire sandwich up, nothing not one drop of mustard at all. Was just bread the entire sandwich. Went to the dog bowl dumped into there. Then went to another place to get a pastrami. The other place had juicy pastrami and tons of mustard. Paul’s is terrible. Never going back.

Bird poop on tables because lots of sparrows in the area, quickly cleaned. Fun to watch and hear them chirp around the flowers. Food is HUGE. You can easily share one meal with medium to light eaters. They have kids meals now. My kids got a jr burger that was very big for a 5yr old but probably great size for 10+ (I know this is subjective). Lots of meat but has some salad options. Turkey sandwich was good, because I love veggies I would have liked less turkey and more lettuce and tomato but no complaints. I love the space for little ones, they can walk around and its a patio so as long as they arent running in the street, all good.

I’ve been coming here for two years and I’ve never had a problem until today. I’ve always ordered in advance by placing my order for pick up. First of all the representative was ver rude when taking my order and kept interrupting me. Not sure if he was having a bad day but it was the worst customer service experience I’ve had. Upon arriving to my destination they had me pay first and then began prepping my order. Wasn’t aware the rules changed at this location and beats the purpose of preordering. I am only rating a 3 because I am hoping at least my food taste good.

I like this place a lot because every time you get an item from there it always tastes delicious even if its some obscure thing that you arent sure how they know how to make all of these things so well. I love the pastrami sandwich or the burger and fries. The only thing Im not a fan of is I feel like the prices are a little high for the specific items. A good example is that they dont sell combos and if you want to buy what would normally be in a burger combo you would have to buy the burger fries and drink separately and that makes everything more expensive. I will say its not much more expensive than you would get it a lot of other fast food places but the quality is a lot better. I highly recommend it!

Has to be one of my favorite restaurants to go to have a quick bite and just in general hang out with friends. Its all outdoor seating which in my opinion is perfectly fitting for a place like this. I personally would recommend the Pauls California burger but replace the fries with fried zucchini. Now there are some downsides to it(cause no place is perfect), parking is a bit small and unless youre heading south on Los Alamitos its a bit tricky to get to, which in retrospect is not to the fault of the restaurant itself really. With all that being said I highly recommend this place to those who love a good burger or any American diner meal.

Spent several of my teen years working here while going to Los Al high. Paul, and Elias were really good to me. They always made sure my work schedule revolves around marching band! A great Los Al staple. Incredible food and fair prices. My personal favorite is the broasted chicken dinner. It takes 20 minutes to make after ordering, but it’s worth the wait. My daughter had a craving for fried zucchini so we stopped by. We ordered cheeseburgers, avoczdo burgers, zucchini fries and chili cheese fries for the family. The burgers were filling (I dont eat hamburger very often). The zucchini fries were solid. I was not as pleased with the chili cheese fries. The portion was small and for some reason we all agreed the chili tasted different. Actually it was almost tasteless. We will be skipping this next time. Otherwise their food is solid and you cant beat the location- its very close.

I have been eating here for twenty-five years. I would ride my bike as a kid. I now take my kids here. The one thing on the menu that brings me back year after year is the fried zucchini. The food wasnt bad. The service wasnt great; the prices on the menus dont match what they charge, the cashier tried to describe the difference between the two menus- but used terminology that didnt match the menu boards so we were still confused and the descriptions are lacking what it comes with other than your bread options. The whole outside area just seems a little beat and run down; canopy is missing, chairs are broken, menu board is on the ground. This was our second time there... we probably wont be back since we have other local options.

Solid choice for a roadside diner near the major intersection of Los Alamitos Boulevard and Katella. There is a wide variety of items on the menu. All seating is on a large outdoor patio between the walk-up windows for ordering and pick-up and the parking lot. A portion of the patio is covered and there are plenty of potted plants. The portion sizes on the side dishes are quite large. Our group ordered 3 burgers and 2 sides and had more than enough food.

I never really write reviews and Ill usually give a place the benefit of the doubt but no way not here. Below average food truck quality food with long wait times. Mexican food is bland. The carne asada literally tastes like air. If you love cinnabon then you will love their chili cause it tastes exactly like a cinnamon roll. The rice they give with the gyro is from those Rice-O-Roni boxes (I know cause Im in college and make that boxed rice all the time.) 1 star because the outside dining is nice but thats it.

Food is the 4 stars. And that they have a corner area of tables and chairs we were able to sit our kids in. Thats right! We cornered them lol bummer part is that there was barely any light back there and it gets dark so early that would be helped. Plus there was this massive pole sticking out of the ground (I assumed it was an umbrella holder for summer months...maybe) that was in the way so my Dad sat one table over from the rest of us. Sad day. Other than that, the food is great with the prices that go with it.

This place has the best fried zucchini EVER!!!Update 7/21/2020Came here to order zucchini and they tried to charge me for the ranch dressing that came with it. They said its always been that way. 3 other customers said they have never paid for the sides of ranch and that was not right. The employee got mad and tossed a couple of ranch dressings at me then walked away. Not cool and it makes me sad it had come to this. We are all hurting due to COVID-19 but come on, you gotta do what you can to keep the business going. Needless to say I will not be returning. So sad 😥

Love this place! I moved into this area and stumbled upon this place. Every city needs a Pauls Place. It is a hit with my family. We can all get something different. We have not been to Pauls for several years because its out of our area, but it did not taste anything like the way I remembered. My Cheeseburger was very dry and my Greek chicken dinner the chicken was also dry. I dont know maybe theyre having a bad day

Good place for American food. They also serve some Mexican and a couple of Greek options. The burgers are good. My favorite is the mushroom Swiss cheese burger. There Mexican is only ok. There chicken quesadillas and taquitos are good. The beans arent very flavorful. The thing that bothers be is that the rice in their Mexican dishes is rice pilaf, not Mexican/Spanish rice. They have a great gyro salad. It can get very busy here and parking is bad. Always call your order in before unless you want to wait a while for food.

Ranch dressing is like gold here! Spent $25 for a cheeseburger, fried zucchini,chicken strip plate and two drinks. We got one small side of ranch with our dinner. I asked for a second side of ranch since we got zucchini and chicken strips. The worker said it only comes with one. The chicken strips dont come with ranch! What? This place has raised their prices and are stingy with condiments. Probably wont return.

Order Broasted Chicken dinner $ 9.99. Fries were greasy couldnt even finish them. 4 pieces of chicken came with order, only ate 3 because the 4th piece was real greasy.
