Nice grocery store with ton of good food. The bakery has a lot of cool options. The pre packaged brownies are really good. Also no need to worry about parking because theres plenty in this small shopping plaza.

Really disappointing cake order. Got a birthday cake that was beautifully decorated but the cake itself was dry and the frosting was so thin it was just barely covering the cake (added a photo with a candle for comparison sake a regular birthday candle was actually thicker than the frosting) which was worse paired with a dry cake it was pretty and cute decor but the cake itself and lack of frosting created a poor experience I wouldn’t get a cake here again

I called to speak to the store manager and no call back or answer. Coworkers need to be accountable for their actions.Unfortunately my daughter that is a minor went to this location. She just got her learner’s permit for driving. She came home crying to me that a group of certain coworkers were laughing and talking about her because she made a mistake in parking. A supervisor named Christina that was working Friday at 12:29pm was incredibly inconsiderate and flagrant with my daughter. She was rolling her eyes and telling her other coworkers what she had done. I highly do not appreciate this behavior it was done to humiliate my daughter. My daughter is only 16 & does not deserve that at all. Christina the supervisor that day should have a little decorum being a manager. She harassed my daughter by following her outside, raising her voice, & talking poorly to her fellow coworkers in front of my daughter as she is standing there. Instead of my daughter getting obnoxiously loud and out of character, she quietly asked Christina for the corporate number and her name. Christina replied saying “ I don’t have to give you that information if you didn’t buy anything.” After my daughter begged for the information so she could just leave, Christina was writing it down and after starring at the paper she crumbled it up and threw it. She then told another coworker to do it because she didn’t want to. Her exact words were, “Write it down for her because I’m not doing anything for her…” Little does she know she ran in the store and bought me medicine because I am sick. She assumed she didn’t buy anything and refused to give out the corporate number and her name as in writing it down. For my daughters safety she recorded the situation because how hostile Christina was getting and she was scared. I frown upon Christina’s actions because my daughter is a minor and still learning about life.

I’ve had great experiences here until today when a gentleman working in an orange vest by the name of Jose harassed me as I walked into the store after accidentally turning down the wrong one-way aisle in the nearly empty parking lot.As soon as I realized I was going the wrong way, I corrected myself. Honest mistake, man. And thank goodness it was early in the morning so there wasn’t a lot of traffic.He continued to yell at me in from of other employees and customers alike from the seat he had taken outside the store, then make fun of me, pointing and laughing at me with his coworker after I asked for his name.I felt incredibly unsafe, uncomfortable and will not be back. This type of behavior was absurd and should be reprimanded.

Prices are higher than other groceries stores. They have a little bit of everything you need here so it’s perfect, you don’t have to go to multiple stores to find what you need. The employees are super friendly and nice.They have a really lovely selections of plants at the entrance.

This Pavilions is a very nice market. It is very good sized. There is a butcher / fresh fish section, a bakery, a delicatessen and much more. It is clean and well-maintained. The parking is convenient and not often too crowded.

I visited the pavilions located on Glencoe Ave in Marina Del Rey, CA today (6/28/22) at approximately 1:05pm. My reason for visiting was to return 3 out of 6 bottles of shampoo that was purchased for me on 6/15/22 at the Malibu location. The first cashier that attempted to try to help me, Shannon, was clearly new and unfamiliar with a simple return. She picked up my items and my original receipt and headed towards the “manager” for them to complete the return. This so called manager, Christina, accused me of using the product and trying to return them. All of the bottles are full and unused. I have the 3 bottles that were opened, at my home, and I was not returning those for obvious reasons. Never have I ever been treated so poorly over so little. The manager said I would need to go to the Malibu location for the return. Clearly you realize how absurd that is. You are a large retail chain. You all need to do better. I will never step foot in a Pavilions again. Thanks for ruining a beautiful day.

The deli manager should be fired. I waited on the deli attendant who was helping build a sandwich for 20 minutes as the deli manager stood there doing nothing. She had a horrible attitude and finally, after standing there for 20 minutes, “helped” me. She took her SWEET time getting my sliced pastrami and she cleaned the whole work area/slicer before giving me my pastrami. Also she put the scan sticker on the corner of the bag and didn’t even close the bag before she gave it to me. Worst customer service from a grocery store that I’ve ever experienced. The nicer old lady (not the manager) seemed very helpful and I’m sorry that she has to work under that manager.Edit: now even thinking back on it. The deli manager was handling the pastrami with her bare hands and was throwing the meat on the counter to show that she was frustrated. She didn’t ask me how thin/thick I wanted it and didn’t even verify with me before giving it to me. Completely unprofessional and unsanitary.

I only shop here for the bakery section. The cakes are always amazingly beautiful and I hear some are tasty. This is my favorite Pavilions because its airy and inviting. I do not grocery shop at this location because its a bit more expensive than closer to home. I predominantly shop here whenever I need celebratory cakes. They have elaborately decorated, decadent cakes. People always tell me how beautiful the cakes are and say the flavor is ok. I have not eaten any of the cakes Ive purchased.The only food Ive purchased here was fried chicken. Dont bother.Lastly, the bathrooms are hit or miss 2 out of 3 times Ive use one, it was suspect. No one wants to use a public toilet but if you have to itd be nice for the floor to be dry, the sink and soap dispensers should work and the toilet paper shouldnt be part of the decor.The bathrooms need more monitoring BUT other than that the store is nice and inviting.EDIT:10/11/21 - I realized I wrote a detailed review for a different store but it was meant for this one. I still love this place for the cakes :) Same rating, same feelings, just a lil more info.

On 11/18/22 Crysta night mgr went above beyond to help fullfill my Thanksgiving dinner needs. I would of gave 5 stars but the young man in the meat dept knocked 1 point off for not going beyond customer service for a bigger size turkey.Crysta is one of a kind mgr and I see her growing to do big things for Pavillions...I can read her professional demeanor..I knew she had that instict to make it happen to get my turkey I wanted. I love their flowers department. First of all, the flowers last a week to two weeks. They get the flowers fresh every Wednesday and Friday. The ladies who work there are extremely nice and accommodating. They make beautiful arrangements exactly fitted to what you want and also, they suggest which ones to purchase for durability. Ive been shopping there for more than a year and every time, I am very satisfied with the quality and service.

Very attentive, great customer service. I asked for the travel size section, the cashier directed me. I was grateful. Then she came to look for me, as I got distracted by some other product on my way down the aisle. She said, Oh did you find what you were looking for? I said yes, and then she still walked down and showed me exactly where. It meant the world to me because I was just visiting the town for the first time in years and she was so sweet. Wish I had noticed her name. But much oblige. :)

I love the this location, it is clean and has a great selection of produce and alcohol. During this social distancing time, they are taking the precautions with sanitizing regularly and only letting a certain amount of people in at a time. So expect a little bit of a line to get in if you are in a hurry. I respect that so it is more safe! When you are in line outside, they offer a sanitized cart and when you walk in they have sanitizer for you as well.

I usually dont do reviews on grocery stores but I have to say this Pavilions is extremely clean, well organized and the merchandising is really good. You definitely can tell the employees here have a sense of Pride and that the management of this location has pride in the way the store appears. For many years I did merchandising and marketing for retail locations and I can definitely tell that a lot of time and effort goes into making this store, every aisle, every in cap and each Shelf a work of art. Well done to the employees at this store.

This is without a doubt my new regular grocery store. I drive by two Ralphs (which I have gone and both are terribly stressful to shop at) on my way Pavilions and still think this is the better spot. The experience makes it, but the selection is perfect.I added a picture of the 7 layer dip (found in the produce section) because it was incredible, sorry half of it is gone, but it is that good. It was almost gone when I realized I should take the picture.Also, the produce section is great and they carry the things that are staples in my house. Almond Breeze chocolate milk, which is hard to find, and a huge pre-made section since I am lazy and have to take lunch to work every day this is important.Only reason it is not a 5 star is because of pricing. It is not more expensive than anywhere else, but you have to be a club member (which is free) to make it this way. Definitely take the 5 minutes to sign up or the prices will get you. It is easy to do on the phone app and then when you check out you just put in your phone number and it automatically applies the deals. So much better than Ralphs where you have to search and clip each deal then add the quantity and then scan a code at checkout, Pavilions is way easier.That is all I got, hope it helps!

I walked in here to grab a quick bite to eat and grabbed a random box of supermarket sushi. Didnt really expect much and was subsequently blown away. The sushi is actually really good and definitely not what youd expect from a kiosk in pavilions. I tried a small sample from the actual sushi restaurant next door and the pavilions sushi was better.

I cant even count how many times this store has been remodeled over the years. 20 years ago it was pretty dingy, but it gets a little better with each remodel. It is a really good store now. It looks appealing to walk into, has a great selection, has nice produce, and the staff is helpful and pleasant.

This is a large, attractive and well-stocked supermarket in the Marina. I dont shop at supermarkets much, but when I do this one is my first choice. 4/22 update: Like many local markets oh, it is closer to normal than it has been in a long time. About half to two-thirds of people still wear masks, something I appreciate.

Very nice grocery store. Upscale, clean, and has a variety of prepared foods offered ranging from Chinese to salads, bbq, sushi... & more. In the bakery they offer fresh delicious pastries, cookies & sweet as well as a variety of fresh rustic breads by the loaf. Large variety of everything store-wide, lots of healthy options. Coming from Tucson AZ some of the prices were higher on certain things than Im used to but Ive found that to be the case in LA with most everything(food, housing...just everything) so thats nothing against the Pavilions!

Ive had a wonderful experience going to this store. However, yesterday even with their staff standing outside and watching this event take place, two guys walked up and cut my bike lock and proceeded to ride off with my expensive bicycle. So that when I stepped out with all my groceries the attendants could tell me they watched them ride off with it in that direction. There are no cameras watching their bike racks, and the staff watching this take place had not thought to alert security.

I like the way you can find just about anything in the store to make it a convenient way to shop. Theres even a Starbucks inside the store as well as a deli and bakery. I find shopping for groceries much easier when I dont have to go to several places just to get all the items on my list.

Things were great before Covid. i used to shop for fresh groceries and go home and cook up a feast.After Covid, there is a bad stench of dead fish, as you entre unfortunately! There is always something spoiled, smelly and or too slimy from my fish department purchases. I have tossed away shrimp, (which i definitely dont buy from Pavilion anymore ) cut and cleaned fish and now salmon again just an hour after my store visit.i wished it would go back to normal so i can keep shopping here. but its been months.Ralph doesnt smell bad. and there seafood is always fresh

The renovations have really spruced it up. The prepared food and sandwich stations are really solid options. And the wine room area is pretty impressive. Prices are a bit higher than average I think, but if you get the app and check for sales you can also find some very good deals. Dairy and eggs for example is usually cheaper here than in the other nearby supermarkets.

Ok so I dont come to Pavilions often, but my mom insisted that I try their baked (roasted) chicken on $5 Fridays when its on special. Ever so often its 8 pieces for $5. My mom bought it at this location once and it was amazing! The seasoning could be tasted all throughout the meat and not just on the skin! I tried getting the same deal at a different Pavilions location and they just didnt have the same flavor. Whatever you guys are doing in Marina del Rey, keep doing it because I am coming back every... single... time!

This place is amazing. They just went thru a renovation and the place looks great. Very elevated. They have a concierge. The meat is kept nice and wet in their new meat coolers. They have a flower shop with amenities to go with it. They have quick check outs which means you don’t have to wait in line.

I will be so honest. I have been shopping then for a while. I have always liked there baked goods and prices. With some good deals. Im the first to state that people are messed up. However this Sunday I was wrong. I mom went to pavilions for some pineapples. When she got home she was so upset Because she lost her phone. We talked it out about were it might be. Finally I figured out she left it at pavilions . So called and spoke with a nice guy. I asked and with the thanks of God they had it. So I drove over. She went in and 5 minutes later she came out with a great smile. Am so thankful to all the employees there.

I prefer Pavilions over Ralphs just for the amount parking spots alone. Seems to be a little cheaper @ Pavilions. There is a Deli that also provides fresh sushi, DAILY. The cheese collection is more than adequate. Meats are fresh. However, always check the dates and ALWAYS smell the fish. If it dont look or smell right, it aint right! Apples tend to wrinkle really quickly here. The staff Im getting know and like. The store is always clean 👍

I just want to give a HIGH FIVE shout out to my local Pavilions! They are doing their best to maintain customer safety in this crazy pandemic. They maintain the number allowed inside and have one way shopping lanes. Some shoppers are clueless or indifferent about social distancing but the staff are doing their utmost. This is the second time that I have walked away from the Deli counter with NOTHING, because there is no one to wait on customers. I went in, and there is one person talking loudly in the back, and another who is prepping meat for the display case. The one from the back, looked at me, spoke to the other girl, then proceeded to ignore me and went to help someone who just walked up to the sandwich counter. I waited for the other girl to come help me, and still nothing.When I asked the girl now making the sandwich if anyone else was working there, she looked back and said just her and I. She started apologizing to the customer she was making the sandwich for, but not to me for ignoring me or making me wait when I was there first.This Deli department is rude, understaffed, and has no sense of customer service. They need to have more people trained and able to help that department. I will no longer even attempt to purchase food there.

Best market around! Not only is it the Least Expensive, but they actually have the Best Fruit in town! Better than Ralphs & even Better than Gelsons! (I am not comparing Whole Foods because its too far away.) The people who work there are genuinely nice & helpful! Lines are not that long because supervisors call extra checkers to help. I Love their Chicken Soup for when Im sick. Im on a low sodium diet, so I just add a little water. Perfect combination of noodles, chicken, & soup!My husband likes the pre-packaged veggies that only need a little microwaving. Even our dog prefers sliced Turkey from Pavilions Deli better than the other local market delis! The taste is better & they are more evenly sliced!I still drink Silk Soy Milk, which they have, but they stopped carrying the Light Vanilla which was my favorite! As well, they usually carry Weight Watchers Giant Frozen Fudge Bars which, if you let melt awhile, taste just like the frozen malteds you used to get at movie theatres! Delish!Its surprising just how many varied items they sell at this Pavilions because it is not as large as others. But the drawback is that because of that, they do tend to run out of certain things at times like in the dairy department. Its good to learn when they restock your favorite foods. Speaking of favorite foods, Pavilions carrys my favorite freshly baked Bran Muffins! Not to sweet, not to dry, just perfect after 48 seconds in the microwave! You can always order them in advance & speaking of which, their bakery has THE BEST BIRTHDAY CAKES; Everyone says so, & the main consensus is Vanilla Cake, Vanilla Frosting with Vanilla Filling! They often have the same incredible Vanilla Cupcakes!! Excuse me while I drool! Fortunately, theres a Starbucks inside the store to top it off with a Cappuccino!Lastly, shopping is so easy at Pavilions! Its located in a small shopping center that includes a 24-hour CVS, a fabulous Yogurtland frozen yogurt that allows free tastes, a couple of banks with ATMs, restaurants, gas station, clothing stores, etc, plenty of handicap parking spaces, & its right by the Marina Freeway that leads to the 405, San Diego Freeway. 🙂

This Pavilions looks huge on the outside, but the aisles are so thin, you can barely fit 2 shopping carts to pass each other. Also, the registers are so close to the end-cap displays, that there is no space to get by if there are more than a few people in line, which there always are because they dont keep enough registers staffed throughout the day.

Animals are not permitted in food facilities including retail grocery stores.Service animals are meant to assist their human companions, however, allowing the animals to roam freely or engage in “unsanitary behavior”, or unsupervised are not “assisting as service dogs”. In a food facility this activity could have the potential to create a food safety issue that could transmit illness/disease to a consumer through the contamination of food products and/or items. If the dog/animal is not a service animal it, under state and federal laws, should not be in the facility.08/11/2019 I reported this to assistant manager, I was told he couldn’t do anything?MDR Pavilion had a big white fluffy long haired dog inside, the owner was petting her animal, afterwards the dog started shaking and tons of dog hair flew into the air, GROSS! It’s summer time it’s hot and animals are shedding, leave them at your house!As if that wasn’t enough, when I exited the store, I see a woman with a black poodle mix, she strapped her dog into a Pavilion baby carrier shopping cart, I said to her lady that for human baby’s. I suggest cleaning these carts before strapping your baby into one.. UNREAL!I sent a email or call in complaints to LAHD

It would better serve the community to hire individuals that live in the area to help support the local community.
