Very Good Ambience, food was excellent, service was good. What is surprising is the compulsive payment of TIPS; added in the bill. Tips should be voluntary. But this norms are followed in most of the restaurants in US when the number of people are more than 4. It should be the other way. More people in a group, the bill will be fat, more business. Isn’t it?

The guy in the front desk has big attitude, who don’t care to seat a customer nor acknowledge the waiting customer when there is hardly one person there is called not just attitude, it’s careless ness.Food is decent and because of service guys, cleanliness, I gave 3, else no worth one star. Fish was salty and the chicken curry is bit bland.

Literally the worst Indian restaurant I have been. I don’t make reviews but this one gets the one star or minus stars for service and atmosphere and 2 stars for food since they didn’t accommodate my baby in their restaurant and the waiters treated us bad for requesting a couch. Food was too spic, salty and very oily. The atmosphere was stop loud for a baby and it was a bar atmosphere which we don’t know. When we called they said they can cook for a baby but when we went there they treated us so bad.

We had catered food from Peacock for our 35 people Diwali party! Cant tell how amazing our experience was. The kebabs were devoured quicker than I could go for seconds - absolutely delicious chicken seekh and Tikka kebabs. Ive lived in north America for 20+ years and these are the best Ive had outside of India. The samosas were also bomb diggity - great flavors very reminiscent of home. Their biryani was also delicious, the chicken pieces were generous and so well flavored. My mouth is almost watering again. People also loved the veggie biryani. We also ordered gulab jamuns and Mango mousse both of which were enjoyable. All in all what a success. Ive never had the food get consumed so much and be enjoyed as much as a party ever. Additionally the service was wonderful, Mr. Naidu was patient and answered all my questions. Food came from Dublin to SF and was equally tasty after reaching.

My family and I have been regular customers of Peacock since we moved to San Ramon 6 years ago. We mainly order take out but have also eaten in several times. It is our favorite Indian restaurant and that is saying a lot. The dum biryani’s and the best we have had and that we included Singapore, Dubai and the US. The Gongura chicken is a delicacy if you like sour food. The tangdi kabab is also excellent.If you like fish, the tandoori pomfret and the shrimp biryani are great. For vegetarians I recommend their Andhra Daal and fritters.Naidu ji and the rest of the staff are very accommodating but we prefer to eat at home like I mentioned above. All I. All I highly recommend peacock for authentic South Indian meat dishes, especially biryani’s.

Visited on a Sunday. I have a major problem with their service. Their service is atrocious and the wait staff is rude to their customers. Our server was rude, impolite & uncourteous. Server had no serving etiquette, will slam plates onto your table and will not respond or acknowledge any questions you have. The server acted as if they were doing us a favor. I’m not sure if they were having a bad day so we still tipped them well but this is completely unacceptable for a restaurant in the Bay area. We will not be visiting again.

We hosted an event at Peacock Dublin and it was very well. They helped us with the menu, set up and clean up. Sonal was very helpful throughout the entire process. Everyone at our party enjoyed the food, set up . Would definitely host another event here.

Food used to be okay but nowadays most of the times it is stale/rotten. It’s just tossed or reheated with some spices or sauces to make it look better. You can smell the rottenness when eating. Wife got sick after eating biryani here.Service has always been not that great. But had a recent worst experience where I was told the price was 10$ during my order by one waiter and then asked to pay 20$ by the manager while consuming the commodity. The server also argued I should know the product is more expensive and was visibly angry/upset when I honestly said I wouldn’t have ordered if I was told the true price earlier. I apologized (when I shouldn’t have) when leaving but the server/manager did not care to acknowledge his mistake.Finally been observing quite a few flies inside the restaurant whenever I dine in so the ambience is has turned from okayish to bad.Used to be a regular customer. Not anymore.Please avoid this restaurant if possible by all means. More importantly do not take your kids.

It used to be one of my favorite restaurants before. Now their service has become very bad especially young lady in the counter with reckless behavior. I ordered food over the phone, they took my order and I reach there after 20 mins, she asked me to wait for another 30 mins due to the crowd in the restaurant. It was already 50 mins and if I ask for order status, she replied rudely WAIT !! She took my card and charged money and after 60 mins wait .. she said one of the item in the order is not available. She should have told me when I place order over the phone whether it’s available or not in the kitchen. Zero respect towards the customers wait.

Front desk folks has a very bad attitude. Order placed thru online website. Order accepted and charged my cc. After few minutes they called to inform the item thats ordered not available. Today while tracing back from Bay Area to Sacramento I called them 5.30 and asked for talapakattu goat biryani and thest said it will be ready 6.30 only then I asked them what is available .. they mentioned vj chicken and vi goat biryani. We had a very bad customer experience from Peacock today. We were a group of 28 and initially waiter didnt allow to keep the tables together which are in the same row (??). Then he told that he cant serve the orders to the same table as we are the same group - why??? Server was bringing food to wrong table all the time and then we help them figure out the table. Attitude of the waiter was like he was serving free food to us. We clearly told his superior that their service was bad. Finally the waiter asked our native place and said that its not a surpise - racism at its peak from an Indian restaurant in bay area :-(

The service was horrible and on top it was pretty rude. We called this place and asked if they are ok to serve a group of 28 people. They said it’s ok, we came the front desk manager said it’s ok ur table is all set. We went to the table and try to connect all the disconnected tables together and this another guy came and said we cannot do that. He had serious issues abt us joining tables and he kept telling us that all of us have to be present. Then he said it’s difficult to serve if we join the tables. I told him we are regular customers to this place.Now during the ordering he was extremely rude, he was not ready to take orders and said all of us has to place orders together. I have never seen such a rude behavior before.He was bringing stuff which we didn’t order n so on..and then arguing that we placed the order- u guys better be in sync and things like that.Finally we really got mad, and asked the other manager to get this bill, got fee take out boxes and exited this place. We also told him that he cannot be rude to customers, to which he told one of the ladies in our group that she better control her husband.The other manager came down to calm down the situation, but we already decided to get out of this place.We paid and got out, while going that guy made some random comment to one of the other ladies in the group.Overall it was a very bad experience and I would never go back to this place. They lost few trusted customers!!!

We had Horribly Bad experience for the dinner on weekend with the group of 9 of adults and kids. Some of the glimpses below:• After placing the order, we asked one menu to be kept on table as we wanted to check more options. Manager stressed that keep only one and he almost pulled the menu card from a kid who was reading it. Not a good way from him to order the kid to return the menu card and almost snatching.• After having one round of chapatis and rice, we wanted to order some more chapatis and rice items and asked Manager to take order, to which he was surprised and asked us back do you want to order NOW ? Do you really want to order NOW ? - what is the issue with him if we order any food item at any given point of time of our meal, we can eat anything, of any amount, at any time of our meal.• Finally, we asked for bill and we got the food bill based on our order. Gave him card to transact and to our surprise he transacted by adding 18% gratuity, without even informing us anything about extra charge. When asked Manager the reason about extra charge, he said rudely that they forgot to add the gratuity in the bill earlier which they should have added, but now you have to pay. He did not even apologies or said sorry, not even informed us before transaction that the charges has to be applied. He simply took yyy amount bill and transacted yyy + 18% and started arguing that we have to pay that, which our whole group was not happy about, not at all a good behavior with guests at the restaurant. I finally had it removed from him only and asked him to transact only yyy amount. My point was, why the amount was not informed before transaction, why did he take us for granted for gratuity and why he argued with us when it was his fault. Huffff…No more Peacock restaurant for me and my friends for sure.With such experience, it does not matter the quality of the food, but my personal feeling, the food quality / taste is not so great, it is not out of the world. Food taste and quality is average...

Tried the Mysore Masala Dosas & Channa Batura.I had big expectations based on feedback from friends. It has largely met them. The dosas were crispy, masala & chutneys were good, but the spicy chutney on the dosas was too spicy and too much of it. It took away from enjoying the dosas. If not for that it would be 5 stars.The Baby corn Manchurian was very good. Cut Mirchi was very differently done. Too much batter in each bit compared to the Mirchi. We ordered food (dinner) for a party and picked-up from Peacock Dublin. Some items were good but some were pretty bad. Despite asking multiple times, Mr. Naidu (is his name I think) said the food is well packed and no issues in transporting in our car. With just about 15-20 miles of (careful) drive, the Gulab Jamoon spilled all over the car (brand new car). They actually charged a good amount of money (upwards of $400) for a relatively small order. We knew the charges beforehand, so I am not complaining of the money itself. My main concern are quality of food and poor packing that damaged brand new car floor.Looking at other reviews, I am not expecting oh we are sorry this happened or what can we do to fix your car kind of response since it seems they dont care for customers. I am only posting so that it helps other customers to protect from this happening to their car.

I came here for Sunday lunch buffet. I came in early around 11.30 AM. It is not too crowded. The food was hot and fresh. They have good veg breakfast items, starters. I particularly liked the fried idli. It was crispy and coated with podi. Ulavacharu Chicken Biryani was really good. Trust me, you will love the Biryani. It doesnt actually taste anything like lentil, so dont worry. It is a chicken biryani with more gravy in it. Tasted really good and the manger was proud of this biryani. The staff was friendly. I tried their Chicken Biryani after 2 months and not happy at all. The chicken is under cooked and rice is not long grain basmati. The masala is a little too much and tastes sand; not sure if they make their own masala (spices) or store bought packets but I could feel sand while chewing. The entire restaurant was empty when we entered, and we still had to wait for 5 minutes to get seated because the host, who looked pretty arrogant, was busy talking to an employee without as much as nodding at us. They could have better separation between veg and non veg dishes on the buffet. They were all interleaved together. Looked like they were placed in random order with starters intermingled with main course. Nan was delivered to the table 15 minutes or so after we were seated. Not a good experience overall.

Worst experience ever. The guy at the billing desk has major attitude issues. We called in to ordered to go, first he hung up on me and when we went to pick Up offer he first did not respond pretending to be busy and when we took a seat in empty restaurant to wait for our order he asked us to wait in the pickup area even though it’s was occupied. This restaurant has a terrible customer service. We had hosted a party last weekend and catered the food through the restaurant but had terrible service and attitude towards the customer. We had rented the banquet hall till midnight and at 10:00pm the server threw away all the food, which we had catered. The server did not even tell us before throwing away the food. We had guest who had not even eaten dinner yet. Their banquet hall was not ready or cleaned from previous afternoon party hosted by another family. I will never host another party at this restaurant. Hi, when I placed order through postmates, I realized that I have chosen the wrong restaurant(we had very bad experience recently with Peacock), I have called peocock - Dublin restaurant and them to cancel my order, they mentioned that I need to talk to postmates, then I contacted postmates, they said peacock has already accepted the order and they are working on it, so I said ok. Heard that the chicken biryani at this place is good. So went all the way from Fremont on Dec 26th for dinner at about 7PM. This night is going to be last night, we got food from this restaurant. This was a to-go order and I placed it in restaurant only. First of all, at 8:30 PM they were out of Idli. The restaurant is suppose to remaim open until 10PM. I replaced Idli with somethin else and I didnt mind doing it. Second thing, when the order came in a parcel bag, one of the box was open. Peacock in Dublin is really good. Even the lunch buffet if great and the days when they have “double ka meetha” is the best!

Very good egg pakora.Average stuffed chili pakora. Have seen better chili pakora right across the road.
