Great little spot! Food was incredibly fresh. The pickled vegetables were AMAZING! And I say that as someone that pickles her own veggies! The pastrami salmon was so fresh and melted in my mouth 11/10! The potatoes were crunchy and the aioli was great for dipping.

A place Ive been wanting to visit for about a year, and it did not disappoint. Good mix of dishes bursting with flavor, many of them with some unique touches. If you are coming late in the service there may be some outages so check with the hostess. The prices reflected the quality of the food appropriately and the fried chicken sandwich, peasants bacon, the smash burger and crispy potatoes where delicious with a lot of house made ingredients. Unfortunately the beef dip was out. Good selection of beer and wine as well, and most seating is outdoor with shade so pick some decent weather.

DO NOT GO HERE. To start, I never write reviews however this was such a discriminating experience I have to. This was the worst, rudest service I have EVER experience. The hostess on 11/29/23 should be fired. She treated me and my family so bad we went to another place. From the moment we walked up, she had an obnoxious attitude and rolled her eyes at us. She then said she couldn’t help us and had to help other guests first. We were a party of 7 people and we’re about to spend a lot of money for a 40th birthday. Still hungry, we waited to see if she could help us but then she loudly says to a server how annoyed she is and why should she have to help us. The restaurant was empty!! My sister asked her why she was being so rude and if we offended her in some way, and the hostess replied with an eye roll and a “why should I put a smile on my face and put up with you”. We then left. After going down the street we found out that several people got food poisoning at this restaurant. A blessing in disguise!

Driving the coast on our way back home from our road trip we took a detour to Solvang. Walking around we decided we wanted sandwiches. Came across Peasants Feast, they have this beautiful little outdoor patio to enjoy, the food smelt delicious, we decided to enjoy both. We were not disappointed with either. The staff was very friendly, the food was excellent, fresh, hot and I wish I could order another sandwich as I’m writing this… I highly recommend this place to anyone if you’re ever visiting Solvang, Ca.

Everything was tasty. The mushroom had greens on top that you couldn’t really eat because they wouldn’t breakdown as you chew, so I had to spit it out, I guess they put them there to make them look pretty. The portions of a lot of the dishes were pretty generous. We found a little worm on the salad, the waitress told us since is locally grown and the greens are super fresh it might be the case, she offered another salad or a refund, I said no, since I almost finished the whole salad. Didn’t make me sick or anything.

Cute atmosphere. I ordered the spicy crispy chicken sandwich. It was good -yes, very crispy. The crispy potato side was just meh. Server Shauna was nice. Its a little expensive for lunch, but this is a touristy area. Location is central and just down from the busy main street. You can shop afterward or go to Olsens Bakery on the main route after eating.

Great little lunch spot. Staff is very friendly and the location is prime time to sit back and watch things happening around town.Here’s what we ordered:- Mushroom cappuccino (very unique and rich dish. Big enough for two people but not anymore).- Solvang Hot Chicken (very nicely friend chicken breast, hot oil not too spicy. Order it with the cheese polenta, very delicious side!)Prices are a little high for a lunch spot but we enjoyed our visit.

The food was decent. The views of the town are nice and the patio quaint. I ordered the jamón ibérico and the portion was a disappointment. I would’ve given it 4 stars since the service was good. The rest of my meal was ok. I tried their parsnip soup, their polenta and the chicken parm sandwich. I can only recommend the chiken parm. The bakery on the side is bomb.

Absolutely love the location with the outside seating which I highly recommend. The service was friendly and great. I tried their smash burger and hot chicken. Both were great and tasty. Lots of flavor. Also tried their fried potatoes. Their cheese grits werent that great. The ambiance was great too. If in the area, will come again.

My husband and I were in town this weekend and decided to have lunch here before heading to my nieces wedding. My only regret is that we didn’t have more time to go back for another visit.The food was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. I would go back for 8 bowls of the cauliflower soup alone. Then order 22 schnitzel salads to go. I’m still dreaming about that simple dreamy meal.Thank you peasants Feast for giving us a reason to want to come back to Solvang.

My daughter and I celebrated her 21st birthday in Solvang. After eating some fried and not so healthy food, our meal here was exceptional! She had the Heirloom tomato soup and I the Heirloom tomato salad. Both were bursting with fresh ingredients that tasted amazing! We then shared the steak and both agreed it was one of the best steak meals we have ever had! The staff was incredibly thoughtful and the service could not have been better.This will be our go to place when we return!

This place is definitely NOT for peasants. Expensive but super tasty! I loved the mushroom cappuccino the most (dont have a photo unfortunately). I would say it was the most unique thing I have ever tasted in my life. It comes in a teacup with mushroom foam. Very cool!! The second thing I ordered was the Solvang chicken (?) I believe and it was pretty tasty too. Not very spicy as in makes your mouth go on fire, but there are a lot of spices in the sandwich, so may seem spicy! I wouldnt come here again as I dont really have the budget for it, but I would recommend it to a friend!

This chicken sandwich might be one of the best I have ever had. Outside the batter is light and crispy, reminds me of excellent Korean style fried chicken. Inside the chicken is moist and juicy. It comes in a spicy variant with a small kick to it but not too much. The potatoes are average. If I ever visit Solvang again Im coming here to eat.

Just in case you cant tell by the picture, those are handmade fresh corn tortillas. I had the halibut tacos and they were delish. You may need a salt shaker but other than that the food is fresh and well prepared and the staff knows their wine list. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch here.

We finally visited Solvang after a 25 year hiatus. Found peasants FEAST with good reviews on Google and decided to give it a try. A little bit of a wait, but not long, and we were seated outside under an umbrella. My wife and I shared a bottle of Grassini Cabernet and ordered two appetizers: the Cheesy Cauliflower Soup and a serving of Peasants Bacon. Both were absolutely delicious. The soup was dressed with crushed almonds and herb oil and the bacon was a maple glazed thick portion of pork belly. I had the Grotto Burger: a 6 oz smashed patty topped with triple creme cheese, roasted mushrooms, garlic aioli, and crispy shallots all on a brioche bun. It came with a side and I chose the crispy potatoes. Very tasty. Our waitress was perfect and explained that peasants FEAST tries to locally source their food products, from farm fresh vegetables to seafood. Highly recommended!

Finally we get to go out to eat after quarantine and we made the right choice @peasants Feast in Solvang. The online ordering was so simple. We arrived and snagged a table outside(as of now no inside seating.)We called to let them know we had arrived. Our meal arrived to our table in a few short minutes. All four of us were so happy with our choices. The salad was fresh with creamy dressy and crunchy homemade croutons. Both tacos were amazing with homemade, thick tortillas, fresh and crunchy veggies and deliciously seasoned fish in one and the other one was filled with the best mushrooms I’ve ever had. The veggie sandwich was on a beautiful, soft bread filled with the fresh veggies. The grilled cheese was crunchy on the outside and had yummy cheese oozing out between the perfect bread. Sarah was our server. She was so helpful when I first called about the online ordering and also brought our boxed food to our table. Overall it was a joyous event eating out after 4 months of covid19 hibernation.

This place has some incredible food! It might seem a bit expensive, however it is worth every penny! You will walk out feeling completely satisfied and the quality of the food is amazing! Definitely recommend the crispy potatoes as a side (ask for their ranch) and the Mac and cheese starter, the solvang Hot Chicken Sandwich and the Atterdag Smash Burger! They were all phenomenal! I couldve done without the cheesy polenta, however this was my first time trying polenta so bear that in mind. Overall, a great place and definitely worth the wait if its busy!

The food was good here. I had the grilled cheese sandwich as shown. We were just passing through and decided to try this place. My wife has the mushroom tacos, not as good as she thought it would be. But ok. We do feel this place is a bit pricey for what they have available. When did not meat tacos cost even over $10... Her were $18 . Ouch... Grilled cheese again no meat, cost more than a regular hamburger. So would I come again, NO. Do I recommend? Depends if those things bother you, if not. Then go for it. 🙂

My wife and I were split in ordering the carrot soup at lunch, but it was a revelation for both of us, rich creamy texture, lovely exotic spice profile. The French dip was the highlight of lunch, but vegetarian options were all top notch. We came back for their dinner service, Sunflower seed risotto was the best vegetarian entrees I’ve ever had. I’m not exaggerating when I say this is probably the best place that I have ever eaten. The pastrami-smoked salmon sandwich was so delicious and mouth-watering and was complemented nicely by East Brother red lager; however, the most incredible part of the meal was the cheesy polenta. When I took my first bite, I wasn’t sure if I would melt on the floor into a puddle of goo or my spirit would leave my body and float up into the heavens. Either way, I was in absolute bliss. I hope if I make it to Heaven when I die, I can eat this polenta for all eternity, because that would be absolute nirvana. If you’re in Solvang and are looking for a place to eat then look to further. You absolutely have to try peasants FEAST—you will not be disappointed.

Unless you really like the bitter taste of raw Brussels sprouts with a hint of lemon, this salad is a hard pass. The smoke salmon that topped the salad was great though!

I work 300ft from this place and decided to try them today. They were so friendly and reasonably priced. They use local ingredients like the halibut, salsa and beans in my dish. It was our first time trying this place out and we have been visiting Solvang for many years. The food was excellent! I loved the Lil smash burger I got and my husband loved the mushroom tacos. I also had their ice cream sandwich for dessert and I LOVED it! We also tried the caviar cones from their deli, which we highly recommend! My husband definitely loved the local beers that they had on the menu. We definitely recommend this place! We will be there again soon to try the hot chicken sandwich and a few other sandwiches from their deli.

Had a really great time dining here. Was worried about a wait but came in on a Sunday at 4pm and got seated right away. They were already out of one item but still had plenty of options to choose from for our meal. Got the appetizer Mac and cheese and the brussel sprout salad and both were fantastic. Husband got the spicy chicken sandwich which is one of their more popular items and it was good but does have a kick! The side of cheesy polenta was very good as well. We now know why its rated so high and has the Michelin bib award.

Phenomenal food! I thought I wouldnt like it. The menu looked snobby. But my wife really wanted to eat here. We were seated quickly outdoors and served drinks. I opted for something called Lil McFeast. It was a hamburger that was probably one of the top 10 best burgers of all time. It was a little hipster-ish but OMG it was awesome! I ordered a side salad that was frocking amazing too. The dressing was a row of ranch but very light and flavorful. Im not a salad Easter but I ate this one. My wife got the chicken sandwich and loved it though she did say it needed pickles. My daughter ordered the BECA and liked it a lot. Shes not a bacon fan so she asked for it on the side. The bacon was giant chunks of pork belly that were juicy and smoky. It was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend eating there!

I was super hungry the day I decided to try the food here. I glanced at the menu and decided for the carnitas tacos. I enjoyed the hand made tortillas not overwhelmingly thick. The carnitas were flavorful but a tad bit over cooked and with that comes dryness. I am not sure what the purple onions purpose was on these tacos. Could use more cilantro. My tacos had only two leaves on each taco. It came with a habanero sauce it was spicy but lacked flavor. A better salsa would of made a huge difference. They came with a side of pinquito beans which I enjoyed. I give this place 4 stars. They could perfect the taco but it by far has been better then what is being sold out there. I will come back and try something different next time. Both hosts were nice and friendly. It was a hot day and the young man offered me a chair while I waited for my takeout order. It is always appreciated when the staff is helpful and accommodating. So that was excellent! Now for the food. We had a BLT and a hot chicken sandwich. They cost about $17.00 each, which seemed a little high at first. The checken sandwich came in a bun slightly larger than a burger slider. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant on our Sunday night in Solvang but they wouldn’t seat us when we arrived at 5:45. They closed at 6pm and if this is their policy it should had stated so on their website.
