How can I begin this review, first off after a long road trip from Monterey Bay back home passing through we stopped at Peking inn for dinner.. the ambiance was calming, dim lights, truly and relaxing setting.. were greeted by a server and later find out he was the owner.. the Tangerine Beef, King also chicken and the 3 flavor chow fun along with a couple more dishes were amazing. Picture DO NOT DO JUSTICE.. the portions are plentiful and overall I just have to say you have to try it to believe. The best part after eating at Peking Inn was that it didn’t even feel like I ate Chinese food if you know what I mean… it was light and just perfect flavors not greasy just right!! lastly and Great family dinner place…

I came here with a customer we were in the mood to grab some Chinese food and he was right by here and having seen so many of my yelp friends who love this place. it was a no brainer. Our lunch line up consisted of;Hot & Sour Soup - thick and rich with flavorHot & Crispy Chicken - deep fried chicken with a toss in spicy sweet sauceMongolian Beef steak - with scallions, black pepper and onions sautéed together.Beef with Black Pepper - it consists of sliced beef that is first marinated in a soy sauce and wine mixture tossed in a black pepper sauce with, onions, and green pepper served on a bead of lettuce.the green tea was very good too.The service was very good it wasnt too busy so we got a nice booth. definitely will return for more yummy Chinese goodness.

Never received such horrible service. I placed an order and within 4 minutes of placing my order I called to cancel. We had a family emergency arise and would not be able to have dinner as previously planned. Instead of being understanding about it, the owner claimed that they stayed late for us to make the food (not true because they were still open when I called, and when I canceled it was 1 minute past closing, making his statement quite the exaggeration). He also said he would not refund my money for the cancelled order because the food was already made and packaged. If this is even remotely true, it’s VERY worrisome that it only took 4 minutes to make and package it. Probably an indication of the quality. The courteous thing for a business person to do would be to issue the refund, based on our family emergency and take the minor hit. I would have become a regular, loyal customer for their kindness. Now, I will never go back, ever. Huge mistake on their part for such a small inconvenience on a small order.I ended up saying “fine, charge my card since you’re going to anyways, and feed your workers my food.” And he said “okay!” Honestly, a baffling interaction. If I see a credit show up on my bank account to remedy this situation, I will remove this review in good faith and give a second chance, but I’m not expecting anything based on how rudely I was talked to/treated.

I will say I have very high standards on all asian food having lived in the San Gabriel valley, but my experience leads me to believe they have more base level issues on their cooking.I ordered siu mai to go (a steamed pork and shrimp dumpling) for a snack. First I feel nearly $2 a dumpling is a bit much. However thats not the main issue. The siu mai was just a pork meatball with only like half with any shrimp in them. The meat should be about 50/50 of each by weight. There was no seasoning whatsoever. It was just a bland, meaningless dumpling, that was magically a little dry in the center. If they are this weak in something so simple, perish the thought on how the rest of the food is.

Been coming here for over 30 years. Service and food are always excellent. Owned by the same kind, efficient family for all this time. I get Peking Shrimp which is my all time favorite, plus brown rice and spicy soup. Their shrimp is high quality. Its the best Chinese food in the county and theyre well known for their homemade dim-sum.

I am going to try to be fair to this restaurant, the food was good, but my experience was not. Right when we walked in there was an overwhelming smell of standing water, not quite sewage, but not pleasant. Our waiter served us hot tea, but never asked if we wanted anything else to drink. The tea is made with what I assume is tap water, all we tasted was chlorine. My party ordered dim sum (basically just appetizers) and war won ton soup. In the hour we were there we were only served the soup and 2 of the 4 appetizers that we had ordered. Upon getting the 1st one, chicken wrapped in seaweed, I cut into it and the chicken was completely raw. They apologized and took it back. We then got the chicken and shrimp dumplings and those were pretty good, then we were told that they didnt have one of the items that we had ordered. By this time we had been waiting about an hour, and we had to leave. As we were getting ready to leave was when the returned item was finally done, and the last item on our order was finally done. So we had to have it all packed up, and we didnt really get to eat lunch today.

Good enough for white folks, wet fry rice, big o piece of green bell pepper and chicken uncut. Just go to the one at Ventura to be honest.

Spent $90 here and the food delivered looked like 4 normal size containers from Panda Express. Not much food. And, even worse it was all awful. We ordered five items off the menu and all of it was just awful. Overcooked dry sweet and sour pork, the lemon chicken was obviously canned chicken, bland mongolian beef with no flavor. The war wonton was just a bunch of leftover cooked meats and veggies tossed into a soup pot with hardly any actual wontons. It was all awful. If it were just one dish that was bad, thats understandable but this was 5-6 truly awful dishes and very scant portion sizes. Pass.
