Vegetable dish was excellent.. but I ordered the shrimp and snow pea and black mushroom dish, the shrimp were VERY overcooked! Very chewy! And it came in some kind of red sauce it tasted just like they squirted ketchup all over the shrimp peas and mushrooms. Would never order again 🤮🤮
The jampong, jajamyun, and tangsuyuk is really great here! My family comes here when we crave these Korean dishes, but don’t feel like making a mess in the kitchen. Been coming here for years and it’s always so fulfilling.
Ive seen this place a few times when going to the Mongolian bbq and had always been a little skeptical. However we went the other day because the Mongolian bbq was closed. It was so good. We will definitely be back.
This restaurant has been our families favorite for many years. We highly recommend it. The dinner for two is great and the pricing for what you get is amazing. Their food as always freshly made and the staff is just always so kind and friendly.
Came here to do a take out order of jajangmayun, was greeted immediately! After placing my order she insisted I take a seat while I wait, once I sat she brought me a cold glass of iced water without me asking. Super sweet! Love the customer service, haven’t tried the dish yet but I can tell it’s going to be delicious! Thank you ladies (:
Peking is awesome. Leanne the owner is so friendly always makes you feel so welcomed. Dishes are clean, water is cold. I love the soup and salad that come before every meal. I have had the beef and broccoli and the orange chicken. very good food, every time. Reasonable priced. Retail Plaza very clean and well kept grounds, plenty of parking. I always recommend to clients who come to see me and ask where a good place to eat is.
The owner is awesome! She is very sweet and has the best dishes in town. I always get the Tong-shoe beef, house fried rice, and hot tea! Best of all were out the door, full, under 20 bucks! Cant beat it! Been going here for over 10 years now.
I have visited the place twice. Both times I ordered the jja jang myeon (black bean noodles) and both times they were just okay (you cannot expect to get as good as can be found in Korea).The problem was with the lack of cleanliness. Today, two of serving dishes had dried red sauce on them, but the worst thing was the water pitcher...as the waitress was refilling our glasses from a plastic pitcher, there were circular rings of orange residue in the recesses of the lid of the pitcher and a bit of black mildew within the pitcher. It was so hard not to notice these. I am not a clean freak, but felt uncomfortable drinking and eating after seeing the water pitcher.If you go here, dont expect clean.
We just had dinner here for the first time. Our server was Liyen she was a delight. The restaurant is very clean, and the portions are very generous. Reasonably priced for two. We highly recommend this restaurant.
I felt bad because we went in close to closing, but we still got AMAZING service. They did forget the tea that I ordered but they were still so sweet, genuine and attentive that I didnt even care! The food was so amazing and so fresh tasting which I find sadly rare here in Sacramento. The only other Chinese Ive had this good was in SF and LA. Kudos to Peking Restaurant!
A decent place for lunch. The prices are good and they tend to have very fast service.
Great food, great service. The owner was very sweet & helpful. We asked for tips & we got answers immediately. Full plates. Enough to share with 2-3 people maybe even 4 depending on how many plates you order. Fresh lemon & fast on delivering to our table. We will be back.
This is our go to Chinese Korean fusion spot. My primary recommendation is Szechuan Chicken which we order every time. This is a great place to go on Friday and Saturday nights when the big name restaurants are crowded. The friendly staff is always ready to immediately seat you. Peking Restaurant is tucked away from Folsom Blvd so it doesnt get much line-of-site attention, but its the best Chinese Ive found in the area.
The staff is friendly, the food was subpar at best. Chow mein is super greasy. The beef does not even taste or feel like beef defently not USDA grade a. The leek chicken was not bad but barely any chicken in it, and was still really greasy.
Weve been going here for the last 25 years. Their food is consistently good. Their Korean/Chinese dishes (e.g Korean style many tofu, jam pong, and ja jang myun) are particularly good. The place is well kept and there are a bunch of plush pandas to look at.
Not happy with quality of the food and the flavor!!! Very disappointed in their chow mein!!!!!! Was really looking forward to it and was recommended by a friend!! I dont know if they were having an off day .. I usually give a place three times and I will be back to try it!!!
Update. Once wake up today morning, and I had so bad condition because I feel like I could smell that noodle came from yesterday. I almost vomited.First time to visit, because I wanted black bean sauce noodle. However it tastes like watery and me and my wife could smell from the noodle. (They separate for the pick up only though.) Probably less circulation due to current situation.
Been going here for lunch every Tuesday for say 25 years. Used to be the work group but were all retired now and still show up. Its our place for wedding rehearsal dinners and showing off the new grandkids.
This is a hidden gem I’ve been coming here for a while and they never disappoint me the house noodles are sooo good and the lemon chicken is my favorite ! And the hot tea is my favorite part they pretty much keep it coming unlimited and don’t even charge you ! Good people

Food was alright chow Mein wasn’t the best, also my girlfriend just mention the Szechuan chicken to me and the we never ordered it but somehow it ended up on our table and on our bill very expensive with low quality food

I read about this restaurant and chose to try it out. I was not impressed at all. They didnt have almond chicken the style I like anyways, then sweet and sour pork was almost impossible to chew(way to tough.)and chow mien was not great either
Love the food here. House chowmein,house fried rice, Kang pong prawns, and Tang shu chicken(this are from the secret menu).And dont forget sizzling rice soupYes the food is cooked fast but order your soup first and then after you eat your soup order the rest if you want to eat slowly.

My family and I ordered the Dinner for 5. It was fabulous. Great service, friendly staff and great prices. Cant go wrong.
Bad food. Chicken cut so small and over cooked, canned mushrooms, and sauce with no flavor. Wonton soup had under cooked noodles, and Mongolian beef was flavorless and filled with gristle. Will never return.

First vist food was great i diden like that it was no combination place at night you had to pay extra 350 to replace plain white rice for shrimp rice and 250 for chicken or beef rice.lunch menu shows more options if you eat in and you get soup are salad with meal

We always get the Peking dinner for two which comes with potstickers, hot and sour soup, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour pork, and hot tea. The sweet and sour pork is pretty freaking good as well as the hot and sour soup (add some of the spicy chili sauce for a real good time). Definitely a must-try if you live in the neighborhood.

2023-04-29 23:25:29The staff seemed nice, but the food was horrible.Maybe it was an off day, but everything was really unseasoned and honestly pretty gross. A staple dish like pork fried rice being mainly white rice with what looked like little pieces of chicken thigh…. Just weird.Broccoli Beef and Lemon Chicken were also just so far off expectations.I have gotten used to subpar Chinese food in Sacramento, and am not expecting SF Chinatown quality, but expected something we could eat, with reviews that are here. Most of the food went uneaten by my kids, and they love Asian food, like me.Really no hate because staff was very nice, but food was really disappointing.

2023-02-10 02:46:48Super good Chinese food. Weve been looking for a place by us that was good, and this place is it. We are soooo happy to have found it!! Ordered the Beef with Garlic Sauce, Black Mushroom Chicken, Mu Shu Vegetable (with 4 pancakes) Chicken Chow Mein and Shrimp Fried Rice. The beef and chicken dishes were superb. Absolutely delicious. Chow mein and Mu Shu Vegetable were also really good, the shrimp friend rice was just OK. Ive had better, and Ive had worse. I have no real complaints, and possibly other of the fried rices are better. We got our order to go, the were quick and had everything together when we got there. Overall we are extremely happy to have found them!

2023-01-22 21:34:34Horrible experience. Had 짜장면(jjajangmyeon, black bean noodle) and sweet and sour pork here. Sweet and sour pork barely had any meat and was full of batter. Meat smelled badly and was so dried up that it even felt like jerky. Meat in Black bean noodle smelled even funkier, noodles were soggy and mushy, and also was ridiculously overpriced. Forced myself to eat some noodles since it was very expensive.

2021-10-27 23:14:50Missing what people often expect in a 5-star venue. A solid 4 stars though, a great little neighborhood restaurant. Food tastes fresh with nothing strange or mysterious. Each dish tasted as it should, tea is remarkably good. The staff gets 5 stars, warm and welcoming.

2022-07-15 21:06:21I used to come here to get Korean Chinese fusion... aka number 1 and 2 dishes of Korean fast food. (자장면, 짬뽕). That was 20 years ago when I was dating my then girl friend, now my wife. The kimchee they served us was home away from home during our college days of UC Davis.I was back in San Francisco for this 4th of July to visit my parents. We decided to goto Tahoe with our kids. On our way back, my wife, Sacramento being her old home town, suggested we stop by here for an early dinner... something both of us had wanted to do for a long time.What a great treat it was. It brought tears to both the owner of 30 years, and us. My parents and our kids loved the food. It beats the Korean Chinese fusion restaurant easily found around bigger cities. Her other dishes are also super saviory and delightful to have.I highly suggest trying out all the Korean Chinese menu here.식구들 집에 와서도 정말 맛있게 먹었어요.너무 감사합니다~!
