I came here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! I was looking for a place that served jjajangmyeon and found Peking Restaurant. The food was one of the best I have ever tasted. Im definitely returning here. They do have social distancing with the seating but allow dine-in right now. The employees are very friendly and it wasnt that busy so I was served quickly.
I have going to this place for 25 years. Family owned and run even with the new owners. I judge all Chinese restaurants one one item, hot and sour soup. The Peking restaurant has the best I have ever had anywhere in the world.
Peking has great food, and has been consistently good for decades. The egg foo yong is delicious, and the orange chicken is among the best, but the real stand-out is the hot and sour soup. The owners have been the same family forever, and they really care about their returning customers. This place will stay on my regular rotation.
EDIT: The original owners sadly have moved on. Thanks to the owners and family for all the great memories and good food! I cant speak on the new management as I have not been to the restaurant since the change.My family and I have been eating here for 20 years, it is always delicious and the owners are so kind and friendly. Cant wait for my next visit! The fried rice is always delicious and never dry. My mom always gets the shrimp in lobster sauce and it is fantastic every time. Heres to 20 more years of excellence :)
This is a La Sierra staple Chinese restaurant... quick service, great food, not your usual orange chicken, but its red and crunchy... IYKYK great spot.
I can’t believe this is 4.4 stars. People around here must have horrible taste. The service is decent and the redhead is very nice. The portions are large, if that’s your thing (I assume most around here are just happy to stuff their face for a fair price). The price here is decent but when you realize that the quality of what they are serving is so low that it isn’t really a good deal after all. This is the lowest quality food I’ve eaten but the portions are so large that I’m sure I’d have cancer or diabetes before leaving, if I finished my meal. So, if you like stuffing your face at Olive Garden or McDonalds then this is the place for you. If you don’t want to die of colon cancer, then skip the hormone stuffed shrimp and chicken.Ordered the hot garlic shrimp (not good) Mongolian beef (awful), egg rolls (old oil), hot tea (decent), fried rice (worst part of meal), and more but not worth mentioning.You can tell the ingredients are the cheapest available.
New owners need alot more work to bring a rating to the business. We miss the previous owners, very loving, caring, and the food fantastic. God bless you with your new business and I wish you well. Dont give up.

Be aware of this place. After a good day at Castle Park. Took my family for lunch. There was a mentally ill old gentleman serving the table. My 6 y/o was holding chopsticks of curiosity, and this guy took the chopsticks away and hit my son in his head with his knuckles. My son was so mad that we took everything to go. Now my son is is anxious in restaurants. In my way out his wife or sister told me that my son is spoiled. In this country adults we DO NOT HIT CHILDREN maybe in her culture they do and 6 years can be curious.
Wasn’t flavorful. The Kungpow the Three is not spicy as advertised. The fried rice that came with the meals was boring. Portions are large, but quality is poor. Meals did not come out together. Wouldn’t eat here again.
I used to live by this restaurant. It was always good. With so many places gone after covid I was so happy to see it was still here. People there remember you and treat u well. The food is great. Many Chinese people come here and I know for me that says something about a ethnic restaurant. I love the wall art. They used to have an aquarium but its not there now. Fish are not easy to keep... Anyway a super place with super food and people
The food was gross my Sweet-and-sour chicken I couldnt find any chicken all I found was the bread pieces and the sauce was gross But the service was great the only thing I did find good was their egg drop soup
Used to be my fav. restaurant so I wouldnt mind driving 30-40min. However, the owner and the chef have been changed recently so the taste and quality as well. Taste horrible, using old oil, not fresh ingredient. The prices are went up so high, bust still, why do they charge 3.5% on using credit card?? I wont go any more

I have been going this place for 28 years and since new owner took place the food is terrible. They dont know how to cook..I and my husband just went to have regular Chajangmeon, and palboche bob and we couldnt eat. So terrible we walked out even though we were hungry....so sad that we lost one of a good Chinese restaurant in Riverside..not going there anymore. Wasted money..P.S. They charge 3.5% top of the bill if you pay with credit card.
I would like to give 5 stars for the generous portion (especially the meat - unlike other restaurants that usually offer a huge amount of rice to fake the meal “generous). Plus the food is almost authentic.The owners are an old couple and they are very friendly. I see returning customers chatting with them. They also care about your needs and often offer extra but appropriate help - like “please finish the spring roll here if you can, or it will be less crispy or delicious when you bring it home!” and then they offer a dipping sauce for is to finish the spring rolls!

Management Changed!! :(( Food has gone down completely, the new owners dont know how to make Chinese food. Nothing tasted right and Im so disappointed. The sweet owners took the flavor of the food with them when they left! 😭😭 so sad I have to find a new place to get my 짜장면 and 탕수육 ㅠㅠ they said that mushroom chicken wasnt on the menu as the ownership had changed but that they could make it and proceeded to make a very odd version of it that did not taste good. The black bean sauce for the Chiang Chiang mein was like GELATIN not sauce even after reheating.
Older couple maybe the owners were rude, would stand over you, they seem not happy to be there and it meant for an unpleasant experience. The sweet and sour shrimp was enjoyed the Mongolian beef was average and the sweet and sour pork was fine. I may give this place One More shot if they had better customer service.
I asked the waiter to cancel our egg roll appetizer because the dinner plates came with an egg roll. He refused and forced me to pay for them. Food was disgusting. My “almond” chicken had peanuts in it not almonds! The plates looked like big glob of gray substance. Will never be back. Abhorrently disgusting. Terrible service and garbage food for 90 dollars! Do yourself a favor and go to panda for half the cost, edible food, and good service. No star.
I wasnt all that impressed, but everyone else loved it. The portions were very good. The service was very attentive. The fried rice couldnt be any more basic. My kids loved the sweet and sour chicken. I am sure I will find something more to my liking next time as I am sure there will be a next time.
The food wasnt bad but there is better and cheaper. I had the lunch special so I looked at their website saw the menus where it showed the lunch specials and the price I ordered te Mongolia beef which was $7.95 when I got there they were charging me $10.95 . I showed her te menu on their website and she told me thats 10yrs old. I asked her shouldnt you change that she just shrug me off I dont play that game very disrespectful. If I was the owner I would have charged the $7.95 and have it update thats just me.They lost a customer

I unfortunately would not recommend coming here on a weekend. They are understaffed and it took over an hour to get our food. The food itself was alright but not sure if the wait was worth it. Best dish we tried was the Mongolian beef lunch special and the Orange chicken.
Went here based on reviews. Of course, Fathers Day they were packed but at least employees acknowledged we were there. Tea was delicious. The food? Not so much. There was absolutely Zero flavor to anything we had! I had the Orange Chicken which wasnt any orange chicken I have ever had. Pieces were chopped up and crispy - like they were fried - and covered in some kind of red sauce that was really quite unappetizing. No flavor and certain no flavor of orange. Sister had Chicken and Snow Peas. Same thing - no flavor. Husband had Almond Chicken which had no almond flavor whatsoever. The fried rice was actually brown rice, one egg roll that didnt taste like anything, and a hard fried won ton skin. The only positive was that the staff (other than the old gentleman) were all super sweet and friendly. We probably not go back.
This is definitely my favorite Chinese restaurant. Their food is delicious, presentation is beautiful, and staff is very friendly . Not to mention you will definitely get your money worth the meals are huge, and absolutely good . Highly recommended by me

We have been coming to Peking restaurant for many years now. It is a family run business which I love and, most of them are really nice and the brother is so funny. It is a happy place to go in and enjoy your food. They are very attentive to your needs as well. I cant say enough good things about their food. Yummy! You know when you see a lot of Asians coming in the restaurant you are eating the real stuff. Their hot & spicy noodle soup is the best around. They will make it non spicy as well. They make their own noodles for certain dishes. No one around here does that anymore. Amazing! Great food, Great Prices. Need I say more? I think not.
I call in my order and its ready when I get there usually takes me about 10mins. The Shrimp/chicken fried rice is good and enough for two people add egg rolls etc.. the staff Ive gotten to know over the years are good people real friendly. This is a really nice place to eat with plenty of seating large groups included. Friendly and fast service and very good food.

The portions are quite big, even for lunch. Service is quick but I dont recommend going in at lunch on weekdays if you want to take your time. Theyre used to people being on lunch break and are quick to take your order and get you gone. But just tell them if you have time and they will back off and are very helpful in understanding the menu.Ill definitely go back!
The people who run the restaurant are so warm and welcoming. You feel like youre eating with family. The food is so good. You can tell the food is authentic because both times Ive been there the clientele has been largely Chinese. A wonderful hidden treasure in Riverside!
Have come here with my daughter twice and will be coming back when we are in the area. Yes, the service is not world-class, but Its a family business and they are more about the food! Seriously! They make some of the best pot-stickers Ive ever eaten in my life....they are long and open at the ends and the char on one side is perfection. We also had the soup dumplings and several other hand made noodle dishes that were delicious.

The rice was MUSHY no texture at all. The shrimp was not fresh.. It tasted bad..The spare ribs were old dry and tough. It was the worse Chinese food ever.The wait staff hovered it was not a good dining experience.
Fabulous Food !! Wonderful Service !My mom & I stopped for lunch, our Birthday .Mom was wanting Chop Suey ...her favorite she was very happy with her choice. I loved the Chicken Chow Mein. The soup was very tasty as well. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves real cuisine.

Another great dinner for a Tuesday night. 5 entrees ordered. It took 4 minutes to arrive. HUGH portions, great soup, smoking hot, very rich and flavorful. Its been our favorite for years. The owner has a son in Denver competes in the Olympics. Amazing! Go see her, his poster is in the restaurant.
This is a small non- chain restaurant with excellent food and friendly service. We all enjoyed everything we had. The beef was tender and flavorful. The shrimp perfectly cooked and the chicken was delicious.
My family and I have been dining at Peking for over 20 years and the food is absolutely amazing! Theres no better Chinese food anywhere... The food always has the same great taste. The prices and portions are great also. After countless visits there weve never experienced anything but a great and satisfying meal.
The orange chicken was more fried batter than chicken, and the sauce was extremely sweet. Also, my husband got up with our 2 month old in her chair before me because she was crying and we were about to leave, and I think the waiter though we were dining and dashing which we were not. He was asking me for the check and saying pay and embarrassed us in front of everyone. I had to tell him we werent leaving without paying, he was rude. Im not going back there again.

Friendly staff that always provides great service every time I have been here. I would recommend the orange chicken and my vegetarian friends love the mushroom tangsuyuk offered here. The black bean noodles here are OK as well (very difficult to find really good black bean noodles outside of LA).

Hands down best Chinese food in the Inland Empire. They work with your food allergies, they give a lot of food for a very reasonable price, and its delicious. Im still baffled anyone still goes to PF Changs, Dragon House, or P.Express with this place in such a close location. Ive been going here since I was a little kid and tell everyone to check it out.
Amazing staff and food - they were incredibly kind, funny, and multilingual!!! We had delicious food - scallops and vegetables, tofu and mushroom with sauce, mixed veggies, glass noodles with pork, steamed meat dumplings, and kimchi! Heaven.
Its not that great....food was not well seasoned at all.I was recommended to try but Koreans are going there only b/c theres only one place that does Korean-Chinese food in the area. I guess you can drive 45-60 minutes depending on the time of travel. I couldnt give any honest opinion on regular dishes since I didnt taste any but visually, just 2 stars.
The food is delicious, and they give you large portion sizes. We did the dinner specials, and it came with soup, an egg roll, fried race, and the entree. It was so good. Highly recommend this place!

Best Chinese Food around! I recommend the spicy seafood noodle soup, but only if you can take the spice. Restaurant serves typical Chinese dishes but with a Korean flair. The fried dumplings and the shrimp fried rice are also favorites. Fast and friendly service.
The service was really great. The best service from most Asian restaurants. Although, the food were pretty bland. Had to rely on side sauces for flavor. The fried rice were brown from either an unclean grill or overcooked. Thought the browness was from soy sauce, but it was really plain. Needed more black pepper and garlic at least. Friendly staff overall but meh food.
DO NOT COME HERE! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! The front lady with glasses was so rude and didn’t explain the difference between sauces when we asked but kept repeating herself saying that there’s American and Asian style. She got mad at us and yelled for asking another server. I wish I could give zero stars.

Came here on a recommendation of a friend. After waiting about 5 mins I had to grab our own menus as it seemed the waiters were busy which is fine. One of the older waiters was pretty rude. I had asked a question about the tofu lunch special. When he brought my food he literally stared me down as he set my food in front of me! It was the most bizarre and uncomfortable experience Ive probably had in a restaurant. Thankfully another waitress took over who was much nicer and pleasent. The food served is Korean with Chinese dishes which was so-so. The customers that were in the restaurant appeared to be regulars so maybe my experience was not the norm. Ill probably give this restaurant another try but not any time soon.

Lotus Garden is my favorite Asian cuisine in the area! Not only is the physical restaurant fantastic, but you now have the ability to order them from Uber eats. My favorite items are the egg flower soup, the general chicken and the pan fried noodles. All items are served to share so the portions are large. If you notice when you order that they seem a little pricey this is why. So make sure when you order be prepared to be stuffed or share with friends or family. You cannot go wrong with this establishment. Both my family and I love it!
I absolutely loved it. The art in the restaurant was funominal, everything was so beautiful and well done but it was also a very relaxing place to go to because the people there was so sweet and caring. Food was amazing as well as fast paced. Highly recommend.

This place reminds me of the Korean version of Chinese food I had when I was stationed at Osan AB Korea. I highly recommend the sweet and sour beef and the prices are very affordable. Great atmosphere and great service, whenever Im in Riverside I always make a point to stop by here for a meal.

Its been awhile since Ive been here and the food is not as good as I remember it. Orange chicken had good flaver but it was hard & chewy as with the pork ribs. Garlic chicken had no flaver & the chow mein & fried rice was ok.
Food was great but they serve you to much. I couldnt finish my plate. The prices are awesome. If youre hungry then this is the place for you.

Very good food and extremely friendly service. The Kung Pao beef is very good. Andbtheir green tea is also very tasty. I however do not recommend the Orange Chicken, too much breading. Otherwise, highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Chinese food.

It was our first time going to the Peking Restaurant as a family. Everything was great from the welcome to the goodbye. The massive amounts of food were delicious. I recommend this place to everybody, it was our first time but definitely not our last.
This is real Chinese Food. Where u sit down and order from a menu. Great food so many choices and you can change food to not spicy or spicy whatever you prefer. I have been coming to this restaurant for years. I highly recommend Peking. Restaurant. Easy to park also
This is actually Chinese Korean. I would never have known the difference if not for my wife. That basically means there are a few dishes not offered at traditional Chinese places and there are often a couple of ways they serve certain menu items. A really funny and friendly family are the owners/servers
1st time here and we picked up some chicken chow mein for the kids, and it was amazing... Kids loved it...We were a little bit sad we only got the kids food there and not for us... Cant wait to go back try the rest.

You know that feeling when you go home and your mom takes care of you? This place gives you all of those feels.This little unassuming strip mall restaurant in Ktown offers a little bit of everything. We ordered the yukgaejang, mulnengmyun, fried mackerel, and pan fried dumplings -every dish was excellent. The yukgaejang was flavorful: beefy, spicy and yet light. The mulnengmyun was refreshing: a huge bowl of perfectly cooked noodles in ice cold beef broth. Dumplings came piping hot with seasoned soy sauce. The mackerel was lightly fried with just the right amount of salt.The owner tended to the tables and was an absolute sweetheart -she even brought chopsticks and helped us start on the fish.We ate like kings for $40. The check came with four big pieces of watermelon, which was a perfect ending to the meal. Add another to your go-to list of Ktown places! Peking Restaurant is best.

Very RUDE people that work here. Food was mediocre and NOT that great. Ive had better Chinese food in the East Coast. If you want good food and better service, pay a little extra at Dragon House.
This is my probably my favorite food in the world. Had Korean food for the first time at this place and Im obsessed!!! Get the rice with toppings with tofu and all the sides are amazing, always.
Best soups ever nowhere beats this place been coming here for 10 years everyone I bring here loves it too and the prices are good its not overly priced I love this place and always will
We stumbled on this restaurant many years ago and continue to go there for the best Chinese food weve tasted. They have the best Hot and Sour Soup and great customer service.

It was the best place to go have a good gourmet Chinese food the lady waitressesl there are fabulous but theres that one older waiter guy who so disrespectful I will not go back because of him and I was a regular customer but otherwise the food is marvelous delicious good excellent

Ok, thing about this place is that its mostly traditional chinese food, not the stuff you expect from your average chinese food place. Unless you know what your ordering you will be dissapointed. If you do know what to have its absolutely worth it.

2023-09-07 19:41:32Horrible!! Food was not good at all. Ordered egg foo young with pork and sesame chicken. Egg foo young was thick and dry. The sauce was good and would have been better with rice. Sesame chicken was ok.

We saw when the new owner took over things were slowly changing and we just heard the old staff who literally remembered EVERYONES order “retired “ if you knew them you know that was a lie they would work till the died. The new server can’t keep up they are definitely short staffed to where the owner is picking up the slack and kitchen staff are running food out. The food is also not coming out at once our table literally got one plate and the rest of the table waited for a good 10 min after.This place was the best place to go now it’s mediocre at best. 2019-07-26 21:05:31This place has a beautiful warm ambiance. All of the staff are welcoming, kind, funny, and they treat you like family. The food was perfect. I dont think I could have changed anything to make it any better. They served us an appetizer, entree, and a main course. The restaurant was impeccable. The price of the food is surprisingly inexpensive, especially for the deliciously large portions and the quality. I am definitely going back.

On top of that there staff is really professional and courteous, I would highly recommend over and over again .
