2023-08-25 03:34:36The chicken pesto risotto was delicious. Very hot, not spicy. The baked ricotta dessert was a little weird, but the butterscotch on it was Delicious.

2023-11-16 05:09:29Our service was fantastic. Caleb was very attentive and did everything he could to ensure our meal was a great experience. One of our entrees was an entirely different meat than what was listed on the menu and the other entree came out 30 minutes after the first. Not the best dining experience from a food standpoint. The service was great.

2023-11-19 20:53:20Nice place for small quiet dinner for special occasions. Main dining area is small and intimate. Service was great and offered ordering wine, flowers for the table ahead of time.Food was hit or miss from dish to dish, and as a whole the food wasn’t the final price. But the net experience was pleasant.

2022-08-21 22:23:39We went for the first time ever yesterday and LOVED it!I couldn’t take a picture of everything we ordered because I was too excited to eat but here’s the breakdown:Overall Experience-Staff are sweet and friendly-Plenty of parking around the restaurant-We sat outdoors and had a beautiful view of the woods below but there’s also indoor seatingWhat we ordered (the menu changes!)-Budino with Roasted Grapes: excellent-Caesar Salad: great dressing-House Made Sourdough Focaccia: standard delicious focaccia but the hummus stole the show-Boneless Beef Shortrib: pictured below and it was amazing. I loved every bite and even the broccolini was addicting-Fogline Farm Stuffed Chicken with Spaetzle: my partner ordered this meal and I only got ONE, albeit delicious, bite since he ate it so fast and didn’t share-Brownie ala Mode: I don’t even like chocolate but loved this-Seasonal Sorbet Trio: Incredible. The kiwi flavor was outstanding as it had the perfect balance between the sweetness, and tangy tartness of an actual kiwiWe’ll be back, see you then!

2022-05-09 06:38:17This is the biggest disappointment that I have had in the last two years. This can not be a 4.6 restaurant. Beef was overcooked and dry. Flavorless. The ravioli was ok. The only thing good was the potatoes. Please do not come to this place. Service is good though. It’s way to expensive for what you are going to receive.

2021-09-26 18:32:05Fine dining and Santa Cruz dont usual go hand in hand, but Persephone might just change that. Saying the food was amazing is an understatement. Loved the food, loved the service, looking forward to going back.

2019-03-18 05:54:31I have been here several times and never a single time I was let down. I usually order the 3 course menu ($60) including appetizer, pasta, and an entree. Yes the portion is smaller than a la carte, but neither my partner nor I felt we needed to order more. The Chef is also good at making soup. It’s so good I was seriously considering order a regular bowl.Wine by glass is quite pricey, usually between $12-15/glass. We decided to go with a bottle that fits within the budget we are more comfortable with. It’s a family owned restaurant so maybe that’s why it feels even more homier. The paintings on the walls were painted by the mother of the chef. It does get busy on the weekends. It’ll make the whole dining experience even better if they can reduce the number of tables in the restaurant. Our table was really close to other tables it reminded me of my dining experience in Paris.

2021-07-10 14:49:36Each plate was made at the restaurant by the chef-owners, absolutely fresh and a taste explosion. The “Beet Cured GravlaxFresh wild King salmon filet, beet cured, thinly sliced and served with favetta, soft boiled quail egg, scallions, big sur sea salt, and Wild Poppies olive oil. (Salmon served raw)” was amazing and I took on to go after lunch. The outside seating is lovely, great ventilation and so much greenery and flowers. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and appreciated the wonderful service by Tony! Thank you!
