Had a good breakfast with family and an old friend. The meals were simple yet done well. I had the French toast breakfast, it was good. I ordered 2 pancake breakfasts to go and the kids ate them right up. Service was great, very friendly counter gal. Had plenty of syrup, napkins, and extra silverware. There was a lot of seating available, and the place was clean, and condiments readily available. There is a lot of nostalgia with this place for me personally, but you cant go wrong with a Petes breakfast. Will be back.

Ordered the chicken fried steak and it was very flavorful with the gravy. Eggs were done well overall and hash browns had some crisps as expected. Utensils that they gave me were missing a knife so I had to ask for it once my meal arrived. They were friendly.

The burgers were good. Large portions for sides. Sides were pretty cold but still alright. It was rather packed so we had quite a wait. But it was a holiday weekend so we shouldve expected it. Overall the visit was good. I would return.

Amazing food friendly service. We visit here from Missouri and Petes Place is one of our staples. The absolute best breakfast burrito on the planet!

I’m sorry, no picture.I provide a rating in two ares, 1) service, and 2) food.Prelude: Pete’s Place is well established eatery in Oakhurst, California. Pete, the original owner retired after 37 years and sold the business. The new owner made some changes.1) you order and pay for your food at the counter. You get your own drinks (unless it’s coffee). You seat yourself and wait for the food to be brought to you. All the makings of a fast food restaurant, nothing special.2) it’s been ages since eating at Pete’s so we thought we’d go for breakfast. I ordered the ham, eggs over medium, hash browns, and toast, $17.50. My wife ordered the French toast, eggs over medium, and bacon.- the eggs weren’t even cooked enough to be called over easy. They were way undercooked. My wife sent her eggs back to be cooked longer to the level of medium. They came back just warmed but still over easy.- the ham steak was about a quarter inch thick but was cut from a deli ham. It was dry.- the toast had a dabble of butter on the center but was cold and dry. They put two jelly containers right on top of the toast, I believe that could be a hygiene issue. And of course they provided one grape and one apply jelly, both of which I don’t eat.- hash browns. They did provide a copious amount of hash brown potatoes. I had to go back to the counter for ketchup of which they squirted some in a small plastic container. I guess they didn’t trust me with the bottle.Overall, for the price I paid I’m not impressed. I think for the basic breakfast, next time I’ll be going to Denny’s for a Grand Slam. There I know what I’m getting for the price and level of service to expect.

Falafel is fantastic, the former owner was Greek his recipe is one of my favorites, you cant find a (better) falafel in the mountains. 👍Its a good vegetarian option. Nice people, great location in the middle of oakhurst. Be great to see some other Greek specials now that they serve later. 😁

We went in for breakfast.Postive: Very large portions. I ordered a side of 2 scrambled eggs and 2 pieces of toast. I got at least 4 eggs worth of scramble if not 5, and the pieces of toast were about 4x6.Sadly, couldnt finish it all. Also the toast was a bit underdone and flabby. My companion got 2 eggs over-easy, a ham steak, hash browns, and toast. The eggs were properly cooked. The ham steak was juicy and quite large - we took most of that with us with the toast, and made up a sandwich for later. It was a bit squishy but delicious. The hash-browns were homemade and tasted ok. They were... well, hash, but not brown, with barely any of the lovely crispy bits that make it all worthwhile. The restaurant was VERY clean and the staff were friendly and fast-moving, though it seemed like our meals had sat and cooled a few minutes before we got them. It was very busy on a Saturday morning, so this is forgivable.Odd: A Greek restaurant with no Greek omelet?

Very nice staff. One took extra care with an older couple that came in. Seemed like a neighborhood place. My wife said the Pete burger may have been the best burger she has had. My BBQ burger was great too.

Breakfast was good and convenient location. Little pricey Omelets ranging from $12 to $22 other Breakfast dishes more moderately priced. Definitely not a place for seniors with fixed income 🙄Jp Val

These guys! I would rave and write an elaborate review, but I’m about to get my food! Excellent customer service. We came two mornings in a row and, amid the hundreds of customers they get a day, they remembered us! Food: great greasy spoon type fare. Every worker is on it. Cooks’ arms are flying, waitresses are speed-walking around the joint making sure every table is promptly cleaned, but they never make you feel rushed. Food comes out fresh, hot, and fast. Can’t say enough about these guys. Eat here. Period.
