2023-09-11 23:47:46Ordered the special fried chicken for my kids. The tempura veggies were raw and the chicken was so tough and rubbery no one could eat it. Called the store and they don’t do refunds and asked for me to bring the plate back and they’ll make me a new one? Um no thanks, 30$ wasted, I’ll take the trip to Shaw Pete’s, way better

2023-08-17 23:11:59We finally got in but...We tried coming to the new Petes Teriyaki location in Clovis a few times but it was always packed. I shouldve expected that, since it has just opened.Today, we had the opportunity to sit and enjoy a mean here.Theyre were no crowds. Only 2 other customers were seated when we arrived. My expectations were high as I remember how good the food was at their original location but they were not met.As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very nice young woman who also took our order.I ordered their Chicken Teriyaki plate with light and dark meat. My husband is a lover of fish and chips. When he saw it on the menu he absolutely had to try it. The portions were generous as always. His order of fish and chips was so big that you could barely close the lid to the container. The quality is nothing like the original location. The tempura had an odd texture like if it had been heated in the microwave. The chicken had very little flavor & was unfortunately on the dry side. The rice was...rice.His fish was crispy but lacked flavor. The fries hadnt been salted but they were ok. You might want to stay away from the tartar sauce. Yes, it was that bad.We finally got in... But wish we hadnt.

2023-07-11 19:00:09This location’s food is terrible. Got the special fried chicken plate. Chicken was overcooked and the rice was cold. Go to the original location in Fresno instead.

2023-03-07 23:54:40OMG, it has come to Clovis. Petes Teriayki has a new location in the Target/Best Buy shopping center. On the side of PetSMart. The store front does not have the sign up yet. Its the old mahs Teriaki location. We went in, and the food is as we remember from the Fresno location. Today was its grand opening. Its a must visit.

2023-11-05 03:10:53I dont know what happened to Mahs but this Petes is no comparison. I couldnt even finish my dark meat chicken plate. It was tasteless and the quality of the meat was like leftover chunks of throw away chicken parts. Tempura vegetables were hard and cold. So disappointed. I will never go back again. No more Mahs, no more me....

2023-11-10 04:13:12Ordered the beef bowl. Probably the worst teriyaki beef bowl I’ve ever had. Cheap cut of meat. Tasteless. Tough to chew. I ate half of it. Brought the rest home first the dog. Seriously. Miss Mah’s.

2023-08-19 21:09:41I got a teriyaki bowl with 2 carrots and a broccoli in it. The rice to veggie ratio was, well nonexistent. The chicken was very dry. I really wanted to like this place but my expectations were too high I guess. The gyoza was very good, Ill give them that!

2023-11-04 03:17:47Their teriyaki sauce is served cold! It pours out in globs. When I asked for some warm teriyaki sauce the girl said that they dont heat their sauce it makes it go bad sooner Whats wrong with this person. Every teriyaki house I have been to warms their sauce. It flows better and keep the food warm.

2023-11-20 05:51:44Their teriyaki pork is delicious however, they need to trim off the fat. I also wish they offered brown rice. Unsure if they offer teriyaki Tofu, but if so, Ill try it next time instead of the fatty pork.
