I thought I had good memories with their food here but the chicken wrap that I got was I’d say slightly below average. I’m sorry if it is the authentic Greek recipe and my taste buds are Americanized…but it was way too heavy on the tahini sauce it overpowered everything. The wrap was drenched in tahini sauce that the wrap paper stuck on the pita and my last few bites I was eating soaked up paper…Fries were decent though and the lady staff at the register was nice! Maybe I’ll try the Gyro next time instead of the chicken.

This was the most pitiful gyros sandwich Ive ever had. $16 for a combo and you dont get a lot of meat and they dont ask you to choose your fixings. Theres better gyros places in other states. Highly disappointed.

Ordered for pick-up via Google/Postmates and had no issues. I got two of the vegetarian options- a falafel wrap with gigantic tasty falafel, as well as a 6-piece serving of dolmas. Both were delicious, fresh, and very filling.

Wow my absolute favorite place to dine in while back in Los Angeles California! Absolutely Fresh terrific food & not to mention the owner of the Petit Cafe Marco! is a friend of mine! Trust me if youre ever in LA & you want something fantastic to eat check out this establishment & please trust me you will not be disappointed! it is near LAX! directly down the street from the Los Angeles Lakers practice facility! & trust me while youre in here there is no telling what movie star or Entertainer that you will run into while eating!! It is also right directly across the street from the Hacienda Hotel on Sepulveda Boulevard & Ralphs grocery store & many hotels & restaurants nearby in the vicinity! I had to find a place to eat lunch and get some work done while I was waiting to pick-up my mom from LAX after dropping off my friend. I had about 6 hours to kill so wasnt sure if a restaurant would let me use their place for so long. I found this small cafe run by Mr. Marco who not only helped me satiate my diet with a delicious Gyro wrap with Greek salad but also let me sit and work while sharing his experiences of LA as he has been here since 1983. Now, every time I come to LAX (living in San Diego, I come here often for international travel) taking a pit stop at this amazing place will be a part of my itinerary. Thanks a lot Mr. Marco for your amazing stories, views on customer service, our shared unreliability of Yelp and of course the amazing food. To top off it all, he gave me a glass of coffee to help me work through the evening off the menu & on the house, woot woot! Bon-appétit @ Petit :)

Service was friendly and pleasant when we ordered our 3 meals to go. Unfortunately, that was the only good thing about our experience there. All 3 plates were unpleasant and difficult to eat. The gyro meat was quite tough and plain compared to anywhere else Ive been, the tzatziki tasted like mayo, couldnt taste any cucumber. The dolmades had no flavor, they were just very oily leaves around mushy rice, and the falafel were over-fried. The Greek salads were not good, either. I really hate to complain, but seeing as we went there because it had a 4 star rating, I felt it would be good to contribute.

Customer response: Thanks for your response Mr. Owner- You may use Basmati rice but I consumed daily at home. As you should know there are many brands of basmati rice namely, Aahu Barah, Royal White Basmati and Mother basmati just a name a few. I have been eating at your place for several years now and not knew. As a matter of fact twice on Oct 28. For lunch I had Full chicken kabob with rice-pick up order with rice WHICH was NOT cooked and crunchy in the middle. For dinner, I walked in and ordered Full Shrimp scampi and this time I skipped the rice and substitute with salad and vegetables. FYI- Your cooked forgot to give me the salad and too late when I realized it at home. You should take this as a way to improve and not be defensive. Eat the rice yourself randomly and you would know cooked rice vs. crunchy. I be back and try ordering again and keep you posted if things have improved. Thanks for listening. Sent you pictures of the basmati that we use at home. Hope this helps.Basmati rice not cooked in the middle. Rice should not be crunchy. It should be better steamed. A true basmati rice is long grain rice and what they use is short broken grain?

Stopped by this place for the first time today. Tried the beef and lamb gyro special. It was $13 and included a fountain drink and fries or a Greek salad.The gyro was large and filling and probably one of the best Ive had out here in LA. It was a little messy but had the perfect amount of fillings and wasnt stingy on the meat which was made right in store and not the frozen garbage you get at some places. The salad was also good, large, and very fresh with a good mix of ingredients. it included a red wine vinegar/oil dressing which appeared mixed in house.The price was a little expensive, but this was easily made up for in premium quality and portion size.The restaurant itself had some indoor seating and was very clean. The staff was friendly and I was presented with my plate within 5 minutes of ordering.Will definitely be returning and trying some other options when not gorging on their gyros.

I Love Mediterranean food. This place however has Slow service, on top of it it had the worst falafel and humus I have ever eaten. The pita, falafel and humus was tasteless and stale. The hot sauce tasted like water, no flavor. This was the flavorless, absolutely worst food I have had in Mediterranean cousine. I dont recommend at all.

Going down hill. I remember when this place that was pretty top notch for a strip mall restaurant the food aside the personnel and cooking staff always lacked strong customer relations skills, heavy accents that doesnt translate very well that results in most encounters being unpleasant. When you call in you cant easily understand them or them you. And this is happening more and more the owner should think about its customers and the surrounding community it serves.

First time customer. Had an incredibly delicious gyro wrap made with all fresh ingredients. The restaurant was super clean and the meal was made fresh to order. Will definitely eat here again when I’m back in El Segundo.

This cook was disrespectful! This was my second time here. Due to digestive issues, I cant eat large portions. So, like last time I asked that they split my gyro salad in half. It wasnt a problem last time. Today, it was.The cook proceeded to scrutinize my request in front of other patrons asking me who honored my request previously and when I last visited as if to imply I was lying. It was only when I told them to give me my money back that they obliged. That was incredibly rude and uncalled for. Their food may be good but not enough to be treated like that. Go elsewhere. I definitely am!

Not the best, but don’t mistake me, it wasn’t the worst... Gyro was rolled in paper and the sauce went everywhere inside the wrapper. It made a huge mess that wasn’t worth the $. Paper was soggy and got all over my food and hands were sloppy the whole time...just resorted to fork and knife half way through. Not a great dine in experience, and I will say I’ve had better on many street corners *but again, not the worst. Best part was house made pickle garnish.

Im not an expert in this type of fare, but Petit Cafe definitely one of the better Mediterranean place in the area. This became a regular go to lunch spot of mine. Both the original and chicken gyros are delicious. Ask for their spicy sauce. It has a very good kick that enhances everything it touches. Their Greek salad is pretty fresh and seems like they chop them up on location. Also, the dressing is amazing. The only draw back is their prices. Its a little pricy, but they do give you a good portion. A Petit size is already good enough for me during lunch. I cant image how much more full size is!The service is nice and friendly. Due note the dining area is small. There are about two seater 6 to 7 tables.

First time eating here today (Ordered to go). I ate half of the plate of food and 1 hour later I was very sick and using the restroom back to back !!!!!!! As well as my toddler 😤😤😤. The cashier was very rude, and threw my receipt and debit card on the counter very aggressively and she wasnt very welcoming at all. The brown food boxes were soggy and very limp, that it doesnt close shut after you open it, so hold it with two hands!! NEVER AGAIN. #FoodPoisoning

This place is gross. I ordered a gyro and what I received was this disgusting sloppy weird concoction of a entre. Whatever that sauce was, was horrible. The aftertaste I had, made me literally want to vomit. This was my first time eating here and will be my last. This was not a true gyro. It cant even be considered food.

You wouldnt expect food of this quality in a strip mall. The food is excellent! Fresh ingredients and authentic middle eastern food. The only downside is the ambience is like a sports bar. If youre staying at a local hotel, take out is an option.

Petit Cafe is one of many establishments crammed into a food court on the corner of Sepulveda & E. Mariposa so its very easy to get to from either street. The parking is plentiful and you shouldnt have to walk far to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is very small though it does have both indoor and outdoor seating. They characterize themselves as Mediterranean cuisine but I agree with other reviewers that there is some Mexican influences not surprising given their location. One of the items on their breakfast menu is a Rib-eye Steak & Egg sandwich served on a big roll. All I can say is that is one fantastic way to start off a day!

Nasty food. Whoever handled the pita bread left their perfum on it and their chicken, I kid you not smelled and tasted funky. I dont like wasting $Money or $Food especially when we are suppose to be so sustainable and all. I told the casher/waitor, I did not want to get into an argument with them. Told them then walked out. What do you want me to do, spend $500 to have a laboritory test it to prove I am write? Costly, but they should be doing that, not me. If I do it it will turn into a court case. :/

I called in to try a place an order 45 mins before they closed and they told me that they couldn’t take my order and I told them I was in the courtyard hotel which is less than 2 mins away from the restaurant and then as I was speaking to salmo on the phone and she hung up and I asked I arrived to the restaurant she was surprised and said oh you could have order I didn’t know how close you were after I told her I was less than 2 mins away on the phone before she hung up in my face.
