Our first time here, and we were so glad we came here for lunch. The lady who served us was very helpful and explained the details on the dishes we ordered.The food was excellent, from the authentic tabbouleh that was so fresh to the chicken kebab that was so tender and juicy. It was like eating at home.Will definitely come here again.

This place is awesome - super chill and homey vibe, nice owners and staff, and the food is delicious. It’s healthy, clean, and super affordable, especially compared to the other restaurants in the area. This is one of our go-to’s when we don’t want to cook but also want something that feels healthy and doesn’t weigh us down. Highly recommend for a chill dinner or lunch!

We are extremely delighted with the food and service we received here. We had ordered Falafel, Baba Ghanouj as starters and Chicken Kebab and Chicken Shawarma plates for 3 of us. They served some freshly baked pitas with olive oil as complementary. All the dishes were very fresh and served hot. We were blown away by the authentic tastes.I think its a family run business. The owner was courteous and took good care of us.We enjoyed an outside meal wholeheartedly after a long time! Thank you Petra Middle Eastern Cuisine for the lovely lunch.

We stopped by for the first time and the service was amazing. They were so warm and accommodating to our questions and accepting. The food was amazing. Grilled chicken and steak kabobs, salad and fresh pita. We loved it and had the best experience. We can’t wait to go back again.

I liked the presentation of food. Chicken shish was served on top of the salad with spinach, tomato, dried grapes, orange slices and garlic mayo sauce. Sauce of meat does not taste a regular Mediterranean kitchens. Taste more like Indian cuisine with intense curry sauce. Vegetables were fresh. I wouldn’t credit on customer service and environment. I wish the gentleman who is taking orders to help customers little bit on orders and might be welcoming. Ladies in the kitchen and register are more welcoming and professional. Me and my family drove from Modesto to this GEM of a restaurant not knowing how the food would taste. Not surprised by these amazing reviews we all enjoyed the food and the environment was superb. One of the best shawarma places, I have been to. Love the Baba Ghanoush, falafel and chicken shawarma (good enough for 2 people). The 5 stars is especially for the kind and generous hospitality shown by the staff. Definitely going back to this place for the other menu items!Edit: Visited multiple times in the past year and they are consistent in quality and taste. Unassuming but the food is DELICIOUS. Haven’t had much of a Jordanian twist on Middle Eastern food before, but it was yummy! The owner is lovely and she makes everything from scratch. Her garlic sauce and pomegranate dressing are to die for. Definitely recommend!

The food is very authentic (I have been to Petra Jordan). The spices and attention to preperation were perfect. I ordered the shish combination of beef (lean tri-tip), chicken (tender white meat), and kufta (minced lamb and spices). You should try the chicken with the from the fresh oranges. The baklava was flakey honey nutty greatness! The flavors were great, the owners were gracious, the prices were a great deal and there was enough food to easily share.

Many people say that Jordan is best known for falafel, hummus, etc,. I checked out here that the opinion is true. Just insanely ridiculous!!! In Bay area, I am 100% sure this restaurant is the best in Jordan foods/cuisines! It is because this restaurant is run by Jordan immigrants. Who can surpass the quality of foods made by real Jordan people? Main ingredients like thyme, cadamom, sesame seed, Arabic coffee bean are all imported from Jordan. Hard to beat. The taste of falafel is garlicky, nicely deep fried, crispy outside but so tender inside, hummus was silky smooth,green chilies, parseley inside, texture was really buttery, just sliding down, za’atar, tahini was just eye-closer, so fragrant, nutty taste to it. Tabbouleh is so refreshing and freshly chopped vegetables which is awesome. Pita bread is nicely baked and warm inside. Highlight was Arabian coffee with cadamom. Cadamom is queen of spices. You can taste a perfect combination of both arabica coffee and cardamom which is so flavorful. They said All coffee beans and cadamom is directly imported from Jordan. This was completely next level of arabic food experiences and mind blowing tastes. When you visit Livermore, this is where you must visit for Middle eastern food place.

We passed by this town on the highway and found this restaurant on Google maps. It absolutely deserves its high score! This is the real thing. Really good hummus! Opted for dine in and I was impressed at how cute this restaurant is that it makes you feel like at home. The menu is easy to browse through with good vegetarian options if you’re looking for vegetarian and great meat options. The hostess/cook was incredibly friendly and sweet and answered questions on what she recommended. As for the food everything tasted great it is Palestinian home cooking with light salt so for people that require a limited sodium diet this would be a great place to eat.

Absolutely delicious! We dined in, with fresh bread, Olives, peppers and water brought to the table as we decided on what to order. The Mezza for an appetizer had the best hummus and baba ganoush in memory with lots of fresh veggies, dolmas and falafel to dip. My chicken schwarma salad was super fresh, interesting and so tasty. My partners beef schwarma with Tahiti was similarly fresh and appetizing. Well be back. Easy on and off highway 580. What a gem!

So when I find a good place around here, I have to tell folks.So I walked in late, to find the husband and wife team that own the joint, warm and welcoming. They were all fired up that I came in for my first time, so they offered a lentil soup on the house, delicious, and talked me through the menu. So I tells the guy that Im very familiar with the food, and asked what he and his wife would recommend as their best show. Combo shwarma it was, and boy did they do it right. Beef and chicken, both cooked perfectly, moist, super flavorful, and they did the one thing nobody else around here does... When I was over working in Iraq, locals would always put a layer of bread down on the platter before they out the main course on it. That means that sucker absorbs all the juices and aaaauuuggghh... Thats the best piece of anything youll ever out in your mouth.Do yourself a favor, do your friends a favor, and go support this little mom and pop shop. You wont be disappointed, the Mens Warehouse guy guarantees it. Did I mention pita, pickled veg, and herb infused olive oil appetizer free with your meal? Delicious. This place is fabulous. We originally found Petra after hearing many friends rave about it. We absolutely had to try it. Just thinking about their dishes is making my mouth water! The portions are HUGE and very affordable for their size. We always have leftovers. Not to mention, the flavors are unbelievable. We enjoy the dipping sauce that comes with the meals so much that we asked if we could get more, and the owner gave us several extra servings for free! He also gave us special treatment when he learned it was my choice of restaurant for my birthday dinner. He and his wife are warm and inviting every time we visit. We have ordered takeout at least 4 times and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. It’s a family favorite for sure.

We came in at 1pm and he told its only by reservation so we did the reservation for 2pm.When we came at 1:50 and he asked us, What time is it? So this was one of the best meals of my life, my companion agreed.Im not sure if they cook the meat sous vide? Ive never had chicken or tri-tip this tender.The owner is a friendly middle aged man who works at the register and his wife, who does the cooking.We each got the three skewer plate- chicken beef and lamb, which came with a salad, rice and some dip. They gave us pita slices with an insanely good garlic aioli dip. I dream about that garlic sauce. It tastes like garlicky whipped cream.The meat was amazing. I think there were some charred peppers. I was in heaven. They kept bringing us more free sauce. The owners are so kind and friendly. This is a wonderful gem of a local restaurant featuring foods from the Middle East and Mediterranean. Every dine-in meal comes with olives and pickled vegetables as well as pita bread and dip as appetizers plus soup. The kebabs were fantastic and the rice was perfect. Tea is included with the meal. The service is great, the owners take personal interest in every diner in this small restaurant, but can occasionally be a little slow. They are closed on Mondays but youll never leave hungry.

After 2 years of being absent, my wife and I went to Petra Midle Eastern Cuisine. The owners, Tarik, and Arwa (also the chef) greeted us warmly, as always. The place has gone through a redesign which includes many typical ítems from their home country, Jordan; nice paintings, great lighting, etc. We ordered falafel as a starter, followed by red lentil soup, and for our main course, we ordered chicken shawarma. The owner took the time to explain that they opened 6 months ago, everything is cooked like at home, with family recipes.Its great until you notice that they are a bit overwhelmed by the weekend crowd. It took us maybe 45 minutes to get our main dishes (appetizers trickled in, but some meat pies and coffee that we ordered plainly never came, nor was it charged to us).On the upside, the falafel were great, the pita and zaatar were a great free appetizer as well. Coming home from San Leandro to Central Valley with a two year old and a seven year old. Just happened upon this restaurant. We were a few min early of thier opening time, but the owner, I believe, let us in and welcomed us as if we were old friends visiting. It was an utterly awesome experience. The food definitely homemade. Everything was sooo good. It exceeded expectations. The hummus we ordered as an app was soooo good, and it only got better and better. But the real experience was the server. Unfortunatly, I did not get her name, but she welcomed the children and made them feel special too. They did not have a children’s menu, but the server suggested she fix a small plate of chicken and rice for each of them, which was just perfect and they loved it. I was shocked to find distinctive, quality Middle Eastern food in a strip mall, but this is the real deal. It was also the first time in a while that I felt genuinely welcomed to a restaurant. From the moment we arrived till the moment w left, we felt like we were the only guests ... extremely welcomed, food came fast and we didnt have to beg for service in fact we never asked for service as it was always there at the exact moment we needed it ... The food was excellent, maybe not the tabouleh though ... Food portions are larger than typucal middle eastern restaurants .. overall 5 stars

Was there for a Buisness meeting and service and food were great. Small cozy joint with a husband and wife team cooking some authentic dishes.
