Came tonight with my grandpa. We both enjoyed it. Food was sooo delicious.Even though there were many guests, Emily was able to care of all tables. She is very experienced and professional.Thank you Emily!

The cold appetizer veg grape leaf n 3 dips are very good, the meals not as great as the appetizer. The lamb shish kebab too bland and the gyros lam or chicken too dry and the lamb meat have smell... they need to add more server..

My husband and I enjoyed a very pleasant dining experience for lunch at the Petra Restaurant. We chose dishes from the menu specializing in Middle Eastern cuisine. We look forward to returning in the future.

This restaurant is incredible, delicious The pita used is so soft and stays together. Generous portions, you can definitely taste the love in their food! Best Gyros Ive have food is consistently delicious, highly recommend!

Being from here Ive always wanted to come to this restaurant finally and what a surprise. Simply elegant restaurant with a beautiful bay window that sits on Lighthouse Avenue.Petras food is Mediterranean Greek / Turkish Delight which we chose the entrees a lamb sandwich and kabobs. Or appetizer was a hummus sampler tray which consisted of your baba ganoush, tzatziki and your original hummus following the pita bread.Everything was delicious the service was great. I must warn you though you will need more napkins and well take care of you.

Best Jordanian Arab food ever. We have traveled throughout the Middle East and visited many Arab restaurants across the U.S. This is the best. We had the lunch Royal Fiest for two. Got some of all the appetizers, various kabobs on rice, and baklava. We brought half home for tomorrow. Turkish coffee excellent too. Nice venue. Excellent service. Ample parking. Nice to visit Pacific Grove and see nearby Lovers Point too.

This restaurant is incredible, delicious Gyros Sandwich. The pita used is so soft and stays together. Generous portions, you can definitely taste the love in their food! Best Gyros Ive had in Santa Cruz or Monterey County, no one else even comes close. Cant wait to be back. Ive been on several occasions and the food is consistently delicious, highly recommend!

Very interesting place. Food is quite tasty and service was very good. Quiet and reserved, really enjoyed the difference in atmosphere here. Waiter was excellent. Worth trying, but dont expect a rushed eating experience. It isnt about getting in and eating the running on to your next event.

We drove from Carmel to have dinner here. Food was delicious made with fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. I had the kebobs, 1 chicken skewer, 1 beef. My wife had the gyros platter. Included side salad. We added a glass of wine. Just what we wanted. Well definitely go back.

Wonderful, relaxing atmosphere and delicious food. Greek salad, Kefta-kebab and chicken were amazing. The baklava is to die for. Kids were happy, hubs was too. All in all, an amazing experience and we will return.

I am half Lebanese and know quality Mediteranian food. Despite all the good reviews on this site I am sorry to say this experience does not compare. Very dry gyro meat, fatty, not well seasoned and chewy lamb kabobs, and mushy lamb grape leaves with practically no meat. My wife’s falafel was very dry as well. Yucky across the board. Maybe we had a bad chef day but we will not be back!

Best gyro sandwich ever. The meat was thick and succulent and not the thin dry stuff so commonly found. Falafel was also first rate.Very comfy and quite environment with lots of natural light.

My family really enjoyed our dinner at Petra! The food and service was fantastic. Our waitress was attentive and she carefully handled my daughters food allergies. The Turkish coffee was delightful; the Greek salad was crisp with a variety of veggies and perfectly balanced housemade dressing; and our entries were prepared to order, well seasoned, and portioned well. My kids liked it so well we will surely return before leaving from Pacific Grove!

As we sat down to dinner, the server asked the table next to us how their meal was. The lady replied, “It was grand.” I agree.My gyro platter was served with one of the tastiest Greek salads I’d ever eaten. Fresh greens and a bright dressing that I could drink. The gyro meat was tender, but had bits of char on the sides that provide that unmistakeable texture. The rice was subtly flavored and worked well with the other components of the plate. Service with a smile topped off our dinner. Bottom line: the picture of Meryl Streep on the wall says it all... this is a restaurant worthy of stars.

Tasted like my Lebanese grandmothers food- especially the grape leaves with meat. This was my first indoor dining experience since COVID and it was safe and lovely. I wish I lived close enough to get delivery, but it will have to stay a treat for now.

So this food is great! I did think it was over priced though. I wouldnt mind spending the money theyre asking for if only theyd make their portions larger. That and I wish theyd make their own bread instead of using packaged peta bread. Overall though, I liked my good a lot but was still hungry and next time Ill just hit up a gryo place to get my Mediterranean fix.

Fabulous place. I live three hours away and I come to this restaurant every chance I get. This is an owner owned (family) business and they work extremely hard for perfection. I order the vegetarian platter and it has samples of all their delicious food

If I have had better Mediterranean food then I cant remember where or when! Petra is without a doubt the best. The food is delightfully prepared, presented well & tastes delicious. Every taste is as it should be, not overwhelmed with an abundance of spices, but just enough to complement whatever the base component is. For example, the falafels are not too dry nor too moist, & the accompanying tahini does not overpower the main ingredient. Petra is as good as it gets & I highly recommend trying it if you are in the Monterey area.
