Course was in great condition. Works well for both experienced players and high handicappers alike. Pace of play was fantastic even with a frost delay. Food at wallabys was delicious.
Worst experience ever at a golf course. Marshalls constantly harassing us, Questioning us. Every tee box is backed and our group has been playing on pace. Never coming here again. Almost feels like a racial issue. Worst customer service ever. Waste of time and money
Course is backed up, were playing best ball due to speed of things and the course Marshall, old fossil, out here yelling at us. I know why, wrong skin tone, save your money and go else where.
The Norman course is in spectacular condition, best Ive played it in a dozen times. Greens were rolling a hair below 11, they really got me, but I enjoyed them just the same. Theyve cleaned up a lot of the native bushes in the rough, making the course play quicker. I got into something that gave me a painful rash on my leg, so be careful where you tread.
If you dont like sand, this might not be the course for you. If you can avoid the 120 bunkers and nine lakes, this is an amazing golf course. Greens are challenging but perfect. Fairways have the perfect feel.
Great track for this time of year. Out of the courses that were open when I was in the area it was in the best shape. Pro shop staff were awesome and friendly! Starter was also really cool. Much freindler than the other pro shops in the area
First time playing this course. Pricey for us Canadians but a lovely course. Only complaint was pace of play. Not many people on the course and it played over 4 hours and 30 minutes. No one lets you play through.
Played on the last day before course closed, so things were a little more rough than I’m sure they typically are.
Very nice layout with lots of sand bunkers. Excellent practice green / bunker / hitting range which are included.
Challenging course especially if it is windy. There are better PGA West courses to play for the money.

Jun Park wrote a week ago that the course was not PGA ready. I totally agree, but I can only give it one star.We had just played Nicklaus and Dye Dunes that were phenomenal. You got water and ice in the cooler. At Norman, no ice. No person to welcome you. Nobody to clean clubs. No one to provide a cart. Two food options at the bar: hot dogs and a soggy burrito. The driving range was abysmal.They said they were offering a “deal” at $100. That is way too high for the course.Skip this course and go to one of the two aforementioned. Indian Wells was stunning and among the best courses I’ve played.

Course was nice. I have golfed for 50 years and have NEVER been asked to skip a hole because our foursome was behind. Was VERY upset. Spoke to the General Manager who was nice but did absolutely zero. Took down my phone number and never called me. Will NEVER play there again!

The golf course was in great condition. The greens were a bit firm and hard to keep the ball close to the hole if you hit at the pins where they were placed. A very good and challenging golf course.
Alright track, definitely would prefer the others over this one. Had a bad experience with the clubhouse restaurant server after our round. Forgot my drink, did not take down my order correctly, did not come around to check on us. After requesting to speak with him he addressed us from another table talking over the other guests. When my order finally came out and my husband was done eating, my salmon was raw on the inside. After asking to speak to the manager, our complaint was addressed professionally.
A great course that doesnt get the love and respect it deserves. This is a well designed course on the verge of a links style course. Fairly forgiving with waste areas where you can find your ball. Traps are in descent shape. Fairways were in good shape and the green varied in speed but rolled smooth. Must be played to be enjoyed.
This place was great. The staff was super nice. The course, while not in prime shape yet (It was first day they reopened) was still pretty good for this time of year. I had a blast and will definitely be back
I would have given this course a 4-5 rating the first time I played it in 2019. The course was in good shape, pace of play great, and staff courteous and professional.I played the course recently and my experience was much different. First the positives. The course was in good shape and pace of play was okay.Now the negatives. We paid full price for our round, but had to deal with sprinklers watering along the sides of the fairways for the last 3 holes. This was at 4:45 pm in the afternoon. Ive never experienced this before and it felt like weve got your money and now FU.However, the biggest FU was when we arrived at the back shop to drop off our carts. Ive played, probably, 15 different courses and around 75 rounds in the Coachella Valley to date. After every round, until yesterday, the back shop staff has welcomed us back, asked if we enjoyed ourselves, cleaned our clubs and moved them to the front of the pro shop for pick up. At the Norman course, we were not even acknowledged when we returned. The sole back shop worker completely ignored us. It was like we were invisible. The woman from the pro shop, that checked us in, came out and asked the back shop guy if he needed help. He replied that he didnt. She didnt acknowledge our group either. We stood patiently for about 5-10 minutes while the back shop worker continued to clean carts, assuming that he would eventually come and offer help. We eventually gave up and carried our clubs to the front of the pro shop ourselves. Now, Im fine with not getting our clubs cleaned, but rude and discourteous service needs to be commented on. A simple, Sorry folks, Im the only one here and I wont be able to help you with your clubs from the back shop worker would have been sufficient. With all of the other great courses in the Coachella Valley, I doubt I will be back to play Norman anytime soon.
An absolutely gorgeous golf course, kept in pristine conditions when I was there. The greens here will punish you, and make sure to keep the ball in the fairway, because it’s either Fairway, or desert sand. You do not want to be in there, it’ll kill your score. The staff are also very friendly, and are eager to help. Make sure to visit this course the next time you are in the area.
The renovation work on this corse has restored it to its original playability! The greens are hard to hold though and run fast, but all in all, a fun track to play, and certainly an easier layout than the Nicklaus Tounament Course and The Stadium Course.
Great golf course, definitely on the resort side, designed to be pretty forgiving. Some target golf with slopes that mostly filter the ball back into play for the most part. Fun and a confidence booster. Nice range and pub restaurant. Give it a shot, you will have fun!
Played today and it was is horrible shape. I am sure that the pro and or any employee could drive the course every day and see that it is in poor condition. They charge $225 (yes this is America) and it was so poor that it truly was not fair. Please do not play here (would be reasonable for lower price) right now. Shame on you PGA for taking advantage of your paying customer.
Nice layout. Good bunker condition relative to some other courses in the area. Not too challenging or penalising assuming you get off the tee....
Really a fair golf course to play. Offering a Silver tee at 4000 yards really helped with the Junior golfer we had with us. However, the uncalled for pushing on us to keep up pace of play did help our golfing experience. Made us feel like the staff was ready to go home but couldnt until everyone was off the course. Plus closing the grill at 3PM did not help our after golf experience.All of this still did not keep us from having a wonderful round of golf on this outstanding golf course. Lots of sand traps...they were EVERYWHERE. But that made you focus on playing a more controlled golf shot and to play for PAR instead of playing outside your Real Game. Course was in Awesome condition. Had some very interesting designs and views..would enjoy playing a Morning Round to see if I could give this experience a better rating.
I just want to say what a fantastic play my second visit in as many months but I ran into a little snafu. My credit card accidentally got ran and I received a fraud alert which shut off my card. Jim listening to my situation and completely going above the Call of Duty and got myself and my son out the next day. Any place that cares about their guests like Jim and the rest of the staff out at the Greg Norman course deserves a shout out. Thanks for making our trip enjoyable to where it easily could have been a bust

The residents and owners of this club are amazing people. Once a year they would pay for 128 Combat Veteran Marines to play both courses as many times as we wanted, with free clubs, free meals, and hosts unlike any other. Not to mention they were the best courses I’ve ever played in my life.
Great forgiving golf course for all level golfers. The fairways are well kept and the greens are great to putt on. The course is very challenging around the greens so go for the fat part of it. I would definitely recommend this course to everyone. Thanks.
I was leery about getting a tee time this year, because I cancelled last years due to bad greens.Well, everything is fixed. From the check-in with Janine, in the pro shop, to 4.5 hours of fun golf, it was a great experience!! The course was beautifully manicured with fairways like carpet and greens that rolled very true. If I was in the area longer, I would have certainly played it more than once.

It was a scratch ;-) of heaven playing here. Course is challenging, yet refreshing! After playing Spy Glass & Pebble beach, PGA West was on the list. Get ready for a thrill, the course will present challenges and visual illusions (could have been from the heat) haha. Study the greens and go play! 5 Star Course!Tip: Go earlier in the day if possible, the weather gets a bit warm.
We enjoyed the course but were VERY disappointed with the hire clubs. Weve played a lot of golf around the US hiring clubs as we go and not only were these the most expensive, they were also the worst. It ruined the day for us because we couldnt do the course justice with the standard of clubs they had there. Do yourself a favour and rent your clubs from the PGA store in Palm Springs- great clubs and half the price.
Course was in magnificent shape and the managerial staff were dying to help with anything. By far one of my top ten course experiences during covid yet. Great job guys!!!

The Golf course was in great shape and the greens ran true and fast. Great rest of golf. If you are looking for a great round of golf in a beautiful surrounding this is the place. Will be back again for sure.
The most recent addition to PGA Wests stable of star-studded courses, is this challenging Greg Norman design, rated 4-1/2 stars, laid out in true desert tradition. Although routed through a residential development, it is natural sandy waste areas, attractively adorned with all manner of desert flora, that lie in wait for anything hit too wayward from the tee.
If you are a 15 handicap or less this is a great course. A higher handicapper will have a very difficult time because it is very much target golf. You have to land it on spots or else you ewelwould be lost in the desert or the habitat on the course. Watch the vgf

PGA west is top notch all the way. Have played Greg Norman, Jack, and West. All of them are always in great shape. Clubhouse is always nice, and the staff always friendly.
This track draws inspiration from Royal Melbourne where the Presidents Cup was recently played. Strong test from any tees but of particular note are the lengthy par 3s

This is a tough course. Play from the correct tees, and it should be a fun round. Much easier now that they have cleaned out all the brush around the landing areas.

2023-07-31 14:10:16Our day started out amazing! The check in process easy as can be. The woman at the pro shop friendly and helpful. The course is well maintained and water stations come in clutch with summer heat. When it comes to golf PGA WEST Greg Norman Golf Course delivers. Unfortunately though the clubhouse restaurant WALLABYS I can honestly say ruined my parties day. My party went to the restaurant to have a drink to cheers to our fun afternoon. Myself and friend entered the restaurant first and sat down at the table closes to the bar. The server Isaac came to our table and asked how can I help you. We informed him that we were waiting on two more gentlemen who were in the men’s rooms and we would be placing our order once they enter restaurant. We informed him we were not going to be ordering food but just a drink. He rolled his eyes and attended to other tables. Once the other two entered the restaurant and sat down we waved to the server and made eye contact. The server walked by us to other table. We tried to wave him over again and stated we were ready when he walked by back to the bar and kept walking. We tried to wave him down again for a third stating sir we are ready. Server Isaac kept walking to other table and I personally said to my group he is probably busy but he will come to our table right after. Isaac had just finished with table and started to walk back to the bar when two of raised our hand to get his attention and at this point it was apparent he was ignoring us. In frustration, we all stood up and walked out and I turned back to see server Isaac laughing at us. It was apparent this was done on purpose. Sadly that is when we all noticed we were the only Latinos and Asian in the restaurant. All other parties were white complexion. We walked into pro shop after leaving the restaurant and the women at the counter who was amazing informed the restaurant supervisor Araceli. I informed her of what happen and she stated that Isaac was fairly new if we were to comeback she would comp our drink. I told her thank you but to drive more than 2 hrs and all four of us being super excited to visit PGA WEST for the first time to end our experience like this we might never be come back. It sad that this experience will probably keep us from coming back. I hope PGA WEST can address this so others who visit do get a feeling of not being welcomed.

2022-11-09 23:19:51The greens here are in great shape, a little on the firm side but were full and green and rolled well. The fairways though were in bad shape, they were flat and smooth but had almost no grass on them. Just dead and brown, and cut really low in some places to expose the dirt. This course is unique that there is basically no rough, if you miss the fairways then you’re hitting off hard packed flat sand/gravel. Be careful hitting off this stuff, my wedge now has a new gash in the bottom of it thanks to a hidden rock. The layout is pretty vanilla, not many interesting holes, mostly straight and flat. But it’s a decently good course, if it was green in peak season I’m sure it’d be a different experience but at this point in the season I’d strongly recommend getting on another PGA west course.

2023-09-16 20:23:40Our experience at the Greg Norman PGA West course was as good as his ability to close out majors.The course played well, was taken care of, and had the best mango scented towels. However, the marshal and head pro proved to me (a long-time golfer) why golfing is facing the greatest mass extinction since the dinosaurs — enforcing antiquated and pointless rules on a day where they should be happy to have golfers come out and spend money.Five businessmen came to Palm Springs from different locations to conduct some business on the golf course. Instead of business conduction, we were forced to split apart on an empty course on a 105 degree day and threatened to be removed by private security had we played together.

2023-09-22 17:05:47Unacceptable conditioning to be charging people $130 to play. Greens in terrible shape and burnt out fairways. Would not recommend to anyone. There are way better courses for much cheaper in the area.
