We were in the mood for some warm food on a rainy day. The restaurant was cold and had some space heaters out. Someone brought us water and took our order pretty quickly. I ordered the #2 Pho and my wife for the #43 Charbroiled Beef over Vermicelli and we added some pot stickers. The Pho was pretty bland compared to some of the other local places but the meat was good. My wife loved the charbroiled beef but hated the sauce that was on the noodles. The pot Stickers were wonderful, crispy on one side and piping hot.

Hands down THE BEST hoanh thanh noodle soup I’ve ever had! Wontons made in-house w some blend of steamed pork and mushrooms. Pork chashu was nice and tender. A good portion of bok choy. WOW! Wonton noodle soup is one of my fav things to hunt for, and this is it.Yes, the environment is very old school traditional. Like there’s no AC and they had a plugged in unit instead. I’m ok w that.

Vegetable Rice Noodle Soup was not only delicious but chock full of vegetables! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten veggie pho and it had like 2 pieces of a vegetable in it. We were the only ones in the restaurant, the staff was very nice, ambiance was nice. Highly recommend! Prices are also decent.

Pho is light and good. Not as flavorful as other pho places but decent. Mongolian beef had good flavor but the beef was chewy in a strange way. Overall 7/10

They did not have any vegetarian pho when I went. They also gave me pork spring rolls after specifically asking for vegetarian spring rolls. My husband eats meat and he said his beef pho was good.

It was my first time being there at Pho 54, got really hungry and decided to have lunch there in the afternoon from driving all the way from Sacramento International Airport. The food was okay but it couldnt been better. It would probably be the first and the last time I ever eaten there again.

The pho was really good and super big as well, it was like a bottomless bowl haha. A nice place to visit after work or trying to find a new place to eat? Although the portions of meat felt smaller than other pho places.

The food was perfect and served quickly. I was very happy and will return again. This is a little mom-and-pops restaurant that is more closer to Thai food than it is noodle food. They have quite a extensive menu and I am excited to explore that menu and I plan on returning multiple times. Everytime I bring family and friends theyre always impressed with it. I would hope that the community with support them and make them successful they are a small business. But if you are looking for ramen or noodle soup this is the place to go they appetizers are quite interesting and there are a lot of them. I would put this in the top three noodle places in citrus heights to get some authentic noodles.

Im testing this place out for the first time while my husband was at work and couldnt come so take out for me today. My first impression when I walked in.... a nice clean, quiet hole in the wall. Food was very good, price was impressive too considering all restaurants have raised their prices, this place is fairly low. Im definitely coming back out with hub of course so we can dine in.

This was unfortunately such a bad Pho experience. My husband and I love Pho on rainy days and we had to ask for a refund on the chicken pho. The shrimp and pork spring rolls were extremely disappointing, the peanut sauce was straight out of the fridge cold and the rolls were 80% lettuce. The grilled pork sandwich was not satisfying, and the broth in the chicken Pho was incredibly under seasoned and didn’t taste like it was made with love like we usually have at our go to spot (which is closed on Mondays). The cherry on top was the water, it was really bad. Had a moldy like taste to it. Overall a terrible experience. The lady also had a horrible attitude when we told her we were not enjoying our Pho. She proceeded to tell us that she’s only gonna take it off our bill because it’s our first time but because we tried it we’re expected to pay the second time…. I can assure you there will NOT be a second time.

Itll do in a pinch if I dont have time to or feel like driving to South Sac. I always order the large combination pho and the fresh shrimp spring rolls and an avocado shake which are pretty good. I havent had anything other than my usual so I cant comment on the other dishes.

Hands down the best food and service around! We love this place and Im always telling everyone I know about this little 💎gem. Just recently on Easter we had a non traditional day of going to the movies and out to eat. Of course we chose here, my Dad was a skeptic when he walked in, but I assured him this is the best place ever. Sure enough all the newbies were raving about the food by the time we finished our meals!

Very small place and the food is small. The price reflects more lettuce than anything. The meat was just 2 slivers of pork. Go elsewhere if you want bigger portions.

Good food but.....when I paid using my credit card, they over charged me when I saw the receipt. For an $11.80 meal (in the menu the price was $10+), then I pressed $3 for tip (the lowest option besides no tip), but in the receipt it came out to be $5 tip and an additional fee of .23 cents non cash adjustments (it says on the receipt) I dont think this restaurant is honest in charging.

They were nice people. But the food wasnt that good. The shrimp didnt taste that good and the bowl of bbq meat and the vermicelli wasnt great also the bowl wasnt that big. I wont be back. Theres definitely better in the area

It was decent and fairly good food but nothing special to make me want to go back again anytime soon. It is small and not fancy. The service is just ok. The shrimp spring rolls were fine but pretty ordinary. My chicken with double mushroom was good but not great. Sauce was nothing special. My daughter liked her flank steak pho soup with vermicelli noodles pretty well. Really it was just middle of the road.

Had a large pho option#1 and the portion of meat and noodles were very small compared to other competing sacramento pho restaurants.Ordered also fried calamari and shrimp and pork spring rolls. Spring rolls also lacked portions of meat and the veggies inside were not fresh. Fried calamari was an appetizer that came to our table after we had finished our bowl of phos.Would probably avoid coming back unless this was the only pho place to go in Citrus Heights.

The Pho here has a nice light broth. All the meat and veggies are fresh. The egg rolls were crunchy and had a great flavor. Definitely will eat here again.

I wasn’t going to post a negative review just because the food wasn’t the best I’ve had. My boyfriend and I shared everything we ordered. I’m not going to accuse the restaurant of anything... but all I’m going to say is we both felt like we were going to be sick on the drive home. After that experience I think it’s safe to say we will not be returning.

Great food and always fresh. Best one in the area for sure. We come here one or twice a month and it never disappoints. We have tried other phó places near this area and this by far has been the best. The menu is pretty straight forward and simple. The lady in the front/owner doesnt speak much English, but she always greets you with a smile. Best service hands down. Would definitely recommend.

Spring rolls are my favorite, sometimes I get two orders just so I can soak up that peanut sauce. I always get a large bowl of pho thi (rare sliced steak). I dont always finish all the noodles but the steak is a good quality and never gets left behind. Havent tried anything else but hope to one day, I just always stick with my faves.

This place is absolutely amazing. I traveled to southeast asia and lived there for a long time, having gone to singapore and vacationed in all the countries around that i could. The pho here tasted just like what i experienced in Hanoi. I was not expecting it to feel like those memories. Everything was great here and i plan to go back there very soon. Great staff and great food. Give it a try, and they got more than just pho.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered pork and shrimp spring rolls, took one bite and literally spit it out. I dont know what the meat was, but it wasnt pork. Whatever it was, the meat was gray, the dipping sauce was terrible and the lettuce in it was browning. When we called them on it they insisted the mystery meat WAS pork.Revolting.
