Great price. Fast food style restaurant. I had a bowl of sea food noodle soup that was 6/10, definitely had a better bowl somewhere else it doesn’t have rich flavor but it wasn’t bad. Vietnamese coffee and egg rolls 8/10!

I got their new Pho with Beeg, Shrimp and Squid and it was hands down the best pho Ive ever had. Prices are reasonable compared to other places Ive been. I did drop a star off because the lady that took our order had a stank attitude and seemed impatient especially with it being our first time here.

Love, love, love this wonderful place. Food is amazing and the staff are the nicest people. I go here at least twice a week for Pho and egg rolls. Grab a prepackaged meal to go and heat it up at home. Sandwiches are delicious and freshly made. Lots of choices for such a quaint and cozy location. Go see for yourself, youll be glad you did.

Used to be one of my go-to places for sandwich and pork chop rice. While the food was still good, the price is still reasonable. I cant help thinking they are going for the worse. I did not see any friendly server I am used to. But the manager is still the same just grumpier then ever Went in at 3pm. There is one server that can speak any English at all servicing 5 tables. And another 5 tables waiting to be clean. The manager was the cashier today and looked very upset that she needed to give a hand to run food to the table. Just over all bad experiences from the service stand point manager and all.I will try to avoid dining in from now on. Id rather get take out and eat on the sidewalk then sit inside. Bty if you want a cup to take your ice water with you it is $1.

Ok so came here at the behest of my partner. I knew it wouldnt be super great. So heres the deal.Food: chicken leg is juicy, noodles theyre OK. Broth not salty, which is good but tastes a bit like water, no depthService: our service was good and she was kindAtmosphere: chill decent and cool, but too cold inside. So we sat outside. Overall, this is most definitely 100% a last resort type of place. There are waaay to many better pho options in little Saigon and around.That being said, Im grateful for the meal and the yummy foods.So because I support businesses, Im giving 5 stars, but the truth is in my review.

Not worth it, save your money. Food was horrible, service was horrible. Waited about 15 mins to be seated, got our menu, ordered and waited another 15 -20 mins for food. They did not bring us any water during the entire meal. We just ate, paid and left and went to buy water at the gas station.

Fantastic sandwiches and fast service despite being quite busy. It is a very good idea to order ahead if you are getting tske out. Saves quite a bit of time. The egg rolls are a guilty indulgence. Definitely recommended.

Been coming here for over 10 years and still the same recipe with less emphasis on the star anise which I prefer. Yeah service is hit and miss (cultural) but it’s authentic. Pho Tai is my go to, Pho Ga a close second. Egg rolls and spring rolls are good. Banh Mi get the BBQ Pork. 🤙🏼

I got the combination pho and combination or egg roll/spring roll. Super good. Got take out with postmates and they gave a decent amount of meat but PLENTY of noodles. Not a lot of vegetables but its ok since the broth was very well seasoned. I do wish they has the lettuce/mint leaves for the egg roll/ spring roll combo. They gave with 2 sauces. Btw the pho is a large size.

I needed to eat. Spouse wanted wings but I spied the pho shop and thought, Banh MI. Went in and talked to the nice lady. 10 minimum charge for credit purchases, so I got two bbq pork banh mi to get the min. The baguette was wonderful, just the right amt of meat and vegetables. Good amount of cilantro (yay!) tho I would have liked a little more jalapeno. Didnt toast the baguette, and no mayo - fine by me. Ill go back there.

We got in this restaurant around 6:35 pm on Saturday night the 18th of February. It was about 1/3 full. We sat down and waited for the waiter to come. About 10 minutes later he came to our table and we ordered the food. We had plenty of time to look around and we saw there was only one waiter, a very young man running from one table to the next one, and multiple trips to the counter for other guests request. He also was the only one to bring food to the tables for guests. He was running everything and everywhere in the restaurant. We felt so bad for him. By the time we got our food it was 40 minutes after we ordered, and the food was not very warm. On top of that, the quality of the dishes were not the same as it was last few times we were there. The broth of the soup tasted like the dishwasher water. It was absolutely awful. We were completely falling backwards with disappointment. The Vietnamese beef and chicken noodles soup was excellent, but not today. We are very disappointed.We will never go back to this restaurant again. We will also tell our family members and friends about this experience.We feel very sorry for the staff in this restaurant. They are working very hard to serve customers. We truly believe that the owner of this establishment is responsible for providing the best service and quality of the products being sold in this restaurant.

Quality and service went down but prices went up, I have been coming here for a few years . Poor management, don’t care about their customers, prices are same as other Vietnamese restaurants but quality went down badly. Some of the foods I got here were either under cooked or overcooked. You have to asked them a few times to give you napkins, there many good Vietnamese foods in the area, stay away from this place, don’t worth it anymore!!

The Banh Mi on french bread is unbeatable for the price. Pork would be my favorite with so much flavor and meat quality and chicken is not as great as other places that has more grilled dark meat flavor. The chicken is shredded white meat type of chicken which is not my personal favorite. However, for the price, I would take chicken or pork. Pho is somewhat decent and also, for the price, is in good quality and taste.The server could be somewhat slow due to many customers during busy week days lunch time. If you are in a rush for quick vietnamese food, maybe you want to check how busy the place is before you get on the line.This place is definitely going to satisfy the ones that has no time constraints who expects less expansive and decent food.

Short female w/ straight hair/bangs at cash register, may be the owner, is the most pleasant one. Service is mediocre at best due to long-term waitresses glum, dont bother me attitudes. The new hire, male waiters are usually better but they unfortunately dont seem to last very long. Sorry to say but its the truth.

Food here is bomb 5 stars bomb! Service is at a 3.5 stars only cause they speak limited English and when they get busy it sucks cause they’re so short staffed. But heads up for any new customers if you’re dining in you don’t need to wait to be seated just have a seat and someone will come to you if it’s to go I recommend calling ahead. *“The McDonalds of Vietnamese food”*This place is a solid quick spot but does not compare to other restaurants north of the 405. The line is almost always out the door, mostly for convenience of the unseasoned guests I’d guess since the food is truly not high quality. The egg rolls however are fantastic. I’d think twice when coming at dinner hours- the line is long and the place has been understaffed ever since the pandemic began. The staff have always been super unfriendly, it’s kind of hilarious. They also charge a flat credit/debit card fee which is illegal in the state of California. Do better.

I have been getting Pho when I’m in FV for years and the food is pretty good, but the service is HORRIBLE. What should take minutes literally takes an hour (even when the restaurant is empty) Terrible communication and they just don’t care. Everyone that works there is annoyed and hates their job. Like they are being forced to be there.I will never go back to this restaurant. I have found a much better and more flavorful Pho place when I’m in this area called Pho 10. Food is good, service is not so good. It has taken as long as 10 minute ms to get a menu, and as long as 20 minutes for them to return to take my order. Never have I had them come to refill a drink. When it’s time to pay your check, be prepared to wait awhile in line, or even if you are up to pay at the register. They Handel one person at a time, taking orders, full filing the orders, and ringing up that customer before moving into another customer. They do not have a dedicated cashier that just takes payments. I’ve waited 25 minutes in line when there were only 2 customers in front of me. I know what my order costs (always order the same thing) so I just put my receipt number and cash down by the register and walk out.

If you want great Pho, look anywhere else.Have been eyeing this place for a while, but was ultimately let down by the overall experience.The service was subpar (almost didn’t get a drink I paid for) and despite saying we were going to dine-in, we were given to-go containers which would’ve been fine, if my pho fit in the container they gave us.The Pho broth just seemed like chicken stock with some seasoning and the rare steak was super tough. The chicken banh mi my wife had was decent and the egg rolls were the best part of the meal…which isn’t saying much.Overall, there are much better Vietnamese places all around the OC, and if it wasn’t across from the hospital it’d be irrelevant.

This place has been my favorite for long time, great food, great price and the service is average. I decided to give to starts for the customer service that we received today 01-18-2019. Two new employees both male are such jerks. Horrible service and very rude. One of them was ignoring us and did not wanted to help us. We usually tip them very well because we appreciate having our yummy food warm and the service. Today was very disappointed, hope they do something or will loose customer for this reason. Will try it one more time or look for a new pho place. What a shame!

I LOVE this place. Everything here is delicious. I especially love the Pho, but the rice dishes and sandwiches are really good. The sandwiches are buy 2 (3.50 each) get 1 free so for $7 you get 3 large sandwiches. You cannot beat that. The food is delicious but the cost of the food is low and that is my favorite thing about this place. I had a large pho and the egg roll sampler and the total was $12 and I was about to burst. What a shame… this used to be one of my favorite pho spots but the service is HORRIBLE. There’s only 2 workers that need to take phone orders, dining in orders, in person takeout orders, make the drinks, charge people both dining in and take out. ABSOLUTE MESS. The place is popular and shouldn’t be short on $$ so why are they sooooo understaffed? I left after waiting for 15 minutes.. no servers nothing just 2 ladies “trying” to take care of the mess. You cant beat the price for this place. Not only is the pho only about 7 dollars but it is nice and filling. The sandwiches are also really cheap when you buy 3. This place can get crowded at noon during the weekdays but you should still be in and out shortly. Overall, I really recommend this to anyone who wants a good meal and wants to spend the minimum.

I used to come very often, food was great and service not too bad. But recently the older cashier lady gets our order wrong most, if not all the time. When we bring it up to her or her coworkers she gets mad and starts yelling at us in her language. Usually we order the same things and point to the pictures in the menu but still seems to be no help at all. Will not be back as regular as we used to.

The prices were amazing but the service was absolutely terrible. My girlfriend and I sat down and we got our waters and menus and the waiter walked away. Three other couples came in after us. By the time we even got our order taken (which by the way they ran out of ALL the sandwiches at this place, never heard of a restaurant running out of Banh Mi) anyway by now two of the other couples received their food, more people came in by now and here we are still waiting for food while three other tables got their food, a few minutes later my girlfriend gets her food and here we go a few more minutes go by and other tables get their food (time and communication lacked at this place, it was a complete cluster&%%$) so finally after 5 minutes after my girlfriend getting her food I finally get up and ask where mine is thinking maybe he thought I meant cancel my order because they didnt have the sandwiches, finally after about 15 minutes of waiting, and if you go to Pho frequently you know it usually only takes 3-5 minutes tops (IF you are ordering Pho) no matter how packed the place is. The point being if you want good food for a cheap price along with some terrible service this is your place!

The one star is only because the food was good. No more stars because they are just plain RUDE. We were their first customers in the dining room and as the dining room was filing up, people were getting their orders taken AND getting their food served. I approached the waitress to voice my frustration and all she said was that shell take my order. She went back to what she was doing and finished serving everyone else (4 different parties). She sent her male co-worker to take our order. She never apologized even though she came to our table to serve us the food. Never returning and I dont recommend this place.

Come here often for the chicken pho. Everything is quite cheap and clean. Recently tried the BBQ pork sandwich in a French roll and it was quite good, specially for the 3x2 deal. My favorite though is always the egg rolls. The only thing i have an issue with is the wait time if you come in and order to go, easily fixed though if you call ahead.

Their coffee is good too, with only $2.25 you can start your morning fresh.Edit covid 2020: they have open dining area but they dont enforce non-smoking rule, so you might sit next or close to smokers and theres nothing you can do about it.

Ive been to this Pho location a few times now and the food here is pretty good. The service may not be the best but thats pretty common at Pho restaurants in my personal experience. I had the pho, and while the broth was pretty good, bur it was very obvious that their noodle was pre cooked and not made fresh ( the noodles stuck together). The brisket in the soup was very tough and lacked flavor. Also, the staff was not very customer service oriented, and did not even offer us drinks. It is unlikely that Ill visit again.

Ive tried this restaurant 3 times, and every time something goes wrong. First time the dining room was understaffed, so the second order we called in for pick up and still waited a very long time. Just now, I used postmates for a delivery of pho with a side of bok choy and instead i recieved... broccoli. Lady didnt understand me well, despite speaking perfectly calmly and coherently, wanted me to just give her the numbers of the orders, so I told her Id just put her on speaker phone while I looked those up, since that was her preferred method.She then said I cant understand you, new menu, very confusing, and hung up in a hurry. This is my go- to- place when I want to enjoy a good Pho Ga. The Pho is good and the service as well, another good dish I enjoy here is Pad Thai.Gets busy in the evenings. The quality of food hasnt been the same since then. I normally always get the shrimp and pork spring rolls, $3.49 for 2 of them. They used to be alot bigger and had more shrimp in it, now its mostly rice noodles, very little veggies, and paper thin slice of pork and shrimp. The peanut sauce is salty and lacking in peanut taste. We also got a large bowl of Pho Ga to share, regular size is $5.99 and large size is $6.99, and the price is half of that listed on the menu, which really is a killer deal.The bowl of pho is pretty salty and definitely got some MSG because I got super thirsty for hours after my meal. There was about 5 slices of really dried chicken in the bowl. The pho was well cooked, and the stock was authentically flavored, but not much substance. Also they used to give more mint and cilantro, now you just get 1 tiny branch.Really would not go out my way to go there, but on a cold rainy day, for $3.50 Ill probably just get a bowl of pho.

I come to this pho restaurant quite often for lunch. The restaurant is located off Brookhurst and MacArthur in an open shopping plaza next to Juice It Up and G Burger. The correct business name is Banh Mi & Che Cali. I am thinking Phoche was the previous name.Service is pretty good for pho place. Sad to say but most pho restaurants have terrible service. Thats just the way it is. What keeps me coming back is the quick service and the $3.50 large Pho Ga (Chicken). You cant beat that price! The egg rolls are also exceptional! The food, as well as the service, is average, so I believe that what attracts people to Pho Banh Mi & Che Cali is its low price. Eating there recently gave me irritating side effects, which include dry mouth, lethargy, irritated throat and lips, all pointing to the presence of a large amount of the very inexpensive MSG inside the bowl of wonton noodle that I ordered, which explains the low price for such a sizable portion. There are studies asserting that MSG is harmless but there are also reports warning us about its harmful effect on our health. What I know for sure is every time I eat food that contains a large amount of MSG, it bothers me a great deal so I am avoiding restaurants that overuse MSG like the plague.
