The classic pho soup is good. We ordered large pho, and its really large. One reason for 4 stars not 5 stars is that I think the basil is not washed clean. It seems to has some eggs on the back of the basil leaves.

8/2023 service is better. canh chua and grilled pork chop were delicious. Recommended. Catfish clay pot was salty.6/2023 Big restaurant, order was taken quickly, and food came out promptly. Thats all the service we got. Lots of room for improvement. The rice plate was good, recommended. The porridge was super plain. The rest of the stuff seems to be put on top afterward rather than being cooked together. Bun reu was ok, not much authentic flavor.

Great for large parties since they expanded. Large parking lot which is rare for pho spots. Food is always good. One of my favorite BBH’s that I’ve had. Portion is good for the price as well. I love that you can choose the type of noodles you want for your noodle soup dishes and they have fresh noodle.

Edit: Ive tried lots of dishes from them. The a la carte ca kho (braised fish) is delicious. However, dont like their com ga an nam (chicken and rice)...I think they can improve on the fish sauce there. Usually the dish is served with ginger and onion sauce so the kimchi tasted weird too imo. The cơm tam is pretty darn good though, meat is Marinated really well. Ive also tried their hot pot which is also decent! Still my favorite vietnamese restaurant in Sac.Old review: Honestly pretty decent food for the price. I like the pho here most out of all the vietnamese places on Stockton. All their other dishes are also decent. The bun rieu tastes very healthy. My parents enjoy the Chao long from here too. Their rice plates are also enjoyable...especially their ca kho. More impressively, they take apple pay as a payment method.

Grabbed a quick lunch here since i was craving some pho. Got the dac biet and the grilled pork spring rolls.The broth was really good. Nice flavor and mouth feel. I ordered the XL pho, but it was way too much for me. The spring rolls were very good too. The wrapper was nice and springy, and the grilled pork added a great flavor. Overall great food.

I wanted to see what the hype was about for this place and its just not the best noodle soup, but I will say its nice inside. The customer service was good also, had no problems. I ordered the combination pho noodle and it wasnt even hot... Not sure what happen but it was lukewarm noodle soup. My mother ordered the bun bo hue and that was just terrible, she couldnt even eat her food, her noodles werent even soft.. the rice vermicelli was hard, broken & I cant even explain this but wiggly. It felt like the noodles were just sitting outside drying up needing moisture but cant have any. Recommend going to CO DO for the bun Bo hue soup. This one is place is on my not to go list. The broth is not tasty & beef has an extremely strong smell with a weird taste.

Update 4/11/2023 - Been back few times for pho but lot of times they ran out of tendon. Pho doesnt taste like it used to be.Update 5/16/2022 - Tried Chao long and other dishes, they were tasty. Foods has improved since my last visit.Old post:We order pho and they suggest fresh fat noodle. When it came out we got like big chunk of Chow fun and some in tiny pieces. Not really happy with that pho order.

Staff were pleasant, the restaurant was clean 4 ⭐I bought 2 large phó with baby bok choy and mini wonton the meat was supposed to be rare but was completely bloody raw $38 by all accounts was way too much for this disappointing bowl of soup. The broth also tasted like a mixture of beef bone broth and tea which gave the broth a somewhat off putting taste. 2.5 ⭐

I REALLY dig this place. The prices are great, huge portions, and so tasty. I come bank ever month or so to get my fix... try the sampler platter, the wings were SO GOOD. Now to the pho, I go with large when Im really hungry, I havent been able to finish an extra large. The medium will do it for most people. The service could use an improvement, but I guess you just reflect your opinion with the tip. The cashier is friendly though... anyways I comes here for the food only and I keep returning so... give is a shot!

First of all, very clean place with a good amount of seating. The pho was served piping hot with a generous amount of meat. I also ordered spring rolls that were very fresh. Best Pho I’ve tried in awhile! I put in an order for pickup after looking at reviews and was beyond satisfied. I love the way everything was packaged. The broth itself was excellent. It is so flavorful as any toppings you add to it just elevate the flavor. I ordered the Pho City Special Beef Noodle Soup (with rice noodle, and extra brisket)(1000/10), Shrimp Spring Rolls(8/10 would’ve wanted more veggies in it), & Thai Iced Tea w/ Boba(10/10). Can’t wait to dine in and bring my family to try this delightful cuisine. Thank you for the care you put into each dish!

For an older complex.. this place is not bad.. really spacious.. have over 30 table.. n a huge selection of wine.. price is low n the portions is big.. service is on point. This place is fairly popular so depending on the time of day you come there may be quite a wait for a seat and for food. The service is good, normal pace for a pho restaurant. The food quality was good as well. Portions are really good as I got a medium Pho special and it had plenty of pho and proteins in the bowl to fill me up. I look forward to coming back and trying more from the menu.

Food is hit or miss, it is not consistent. The waiters and waitresses can use some support in hospitality. My family and I waited over 15 minutes to get our order taken, and this is after telling a waitress 3x that we were ready to order. Then it took another 3x to ask for water, meanwhile the same person who sat us down served another table as they walked in, immediately, because they spoke her language… so bias… this place needs customer services. This is the last time I am coming here.

That was some awesome Pho! Good prices as well. Ordered some extra noodle, and thought it would be an arm and a leg, nope! Beyond reasonably priced overall! Best in town compared to other places. Good pho.. a bit on the pricer side compared to most with little Saigon but is tastier than most. A small bowl will set you at $11 and a dollar more each size up. The seating feels crowded which I dont like in the trying to get used to covid. The staff was very friendly and prompt with service. The pho seemed skimpy on the noodles but a healthy helping of meats. It was a cold rainy day as it did hit the spot. Iced coffee was very well made and restaurant was clean. Pho sacto is still my #1 goto but this would suffice in any day event

Came here Sunday morning at 10. We were seated right away and our food came out quick. I got the fresh noodles #1 beef pho. There was lots of meat and the cut was thick not paper thin. Its one of the better restaurants for Bun Bo Hue, but I think they overdid it with the fish sauce today. The restaurant was pretty busy, but service was pretty quick. Come by if youre in the area. Some days the pho taste good some days it taste like the soup was added by water and not corrected. A waiter uses his thumb to hold the bowl from inside when serving you which discusses me. Especially during the covid19. Very old chairs and some are sticky. Very very unsanitary bathrooms. The old urine just gives off the ammonia smell so strong it burns your nose. I wonder how unsanitary their kitchen is and how unhygienic the staffs are. Will not return.

I am a Vietnamese food addict but I’m not Viet, I’m still Asia k! I could say that I eat pho almost everyday, a small bowl since they open at 9am, breakfast. I almost went to all of them, but my favorite is definitely this one. I like it for the fast service even during busy hours. Food quality is the best, quiet place to eat, they are not noisy like few places I know. I ordered few times from and one time they made a mistake on my orders, I didn’t noticed until I got home, I brought it back, they corrected it and they let me keep the wrong orders and I noticed few days later when I check my bank statement, they credited back to me the amount that I paid for the orders. I think they probably did it because I’m a good customer. My entire family went to eat there few times as well.If you are looking for good viet cuisine, this is the right place to go, recommended.

Not good at all. Service sucked. Two of the soup spoons had old food on them. They forgot to bring my daughters Pho, we had to remind them to bring it. She ordered it with the flank. There was very little meat, mostly fat. Just gross. The fish sauce was served with red pepper flakes (never had it served like that before). The menu listed several beers, however, they only had three. Very few veggies in my vermicelli and the lettuce they put in there was just disgusting. Had to ask three times for to go boxes. Finally had to go to the cashier to get them. Needless to say, will not be going back.

Weve ordered Bun Bo Hue (BBH) and it is good. Portion size is excellent and you get plenty of trimmings. As for flavor, it is done very well and better than most places, except one. Pho King 2 (PK2) still makes a better BBH. However PK2 closes early now during COVID-19, so if you want your BBH and PK2 is closed Pho City is the place.They dont include the full cross section of a pigs feet like at other places, but they make up for it with more meat. The one server guy is a bit rough around the edges with how he communicates with customers but it may just be because he has a language issue.

We came here on a whim just wanting some Pho after spending a day in the cold and boy did we get lucky. In addition to being a Pho place, they also server traditional Vietnamese family style dinner.We opted for their Pho and be forewarned - before you order the size, make sure you see the bowl first! Their large is not your typical large; its huge! Soup quality it was one of the best. their beef (I had them give it to me on the side) was different than the traditional slices as this came in smaller size like shreds. Nonetheless it was good. Their spring rolls (Goi Cuon) was standard, but their Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings was excellent and a must have.The owner also loves wine so make sure you check out his collection.

Fast and friendly service a lil aggressive on asking if you are ready but I am use to that when at a Pho restaurant. My sea food combination bowl is perfect was served hot. The shrimp garnishment with the cracker was done the same but different which I dont mind but not seeing the head of the shrimp was strange. The shrimp in the soup however was amazing how is it amazing you ask, there was no poop line in my shrimp most pho restaurants dont clean them out so when I saw that they were clean I was happy. The clear noodles were amazing and surprising really filling. The broth is really good. I wish for some more scallops but it varies from pho to pho restaurant. Also the old lady that served was awesome she paid attention to me and refill my drink I am a stickler about waitresses that dont refill my drink. I will come back here again for lunch and dinner.

I usually have my default go to pho restaurant around Sacramento but I decided to give this place a try. Their pho was surprisingly good! The broth had a very nice flavor but not super salty or overpowering. Portions are very generous even at the small or medium size. However, the main reason why this place is great is their Bahn Xeo!! Even though it took a little longer to make, it was well worth the wait. Its flavor and texture reminded me of what my friends and family would make at home!

First the positive: their food is good when done right. Sometimes they switch things that make the dish special so it didnt feel the same as before. Now the critique: Apparently their vegetarian category isnt really vegetarian unless you request it specifically. They claimed guests dont mind meat stock in their vegetarian pho. Well its absurd for a restaurant to assume a vegetarian couldnt tell a strong pork chicken base stock. It wasnt good clean stock either. It was off tasting. The point is the menu clearly has a vegetarian category but they seem to interpret a vegetarian noodle pho as one that contains pork and chicken stock in it. Why would this need to be clarified by the customer to the order taker to please not have dead boiled flesh juice in the food? Thats like saying on the menu nut-free cake and then slipping in pistachios in them because you ran out of the other ingredient. Well Im not supposed to eat meat for health and spiritual reasons so this irked me. I dont get irked often but this one was smh moment.

This place serves up a great variety of delicious authentic Vietnamese food at a very reasonable price. Had the Banh Xeo here and the portion size was gigantic. I only managed to finish half for lunch. Definitely would come back to try out their Viet hotpot next time.

Food is delicious, but noticed employees don’t wash their hands in between services such as handling cash, taking phone orders, busting tables, serving food, scratching head and even peeling eggroll wrappers. Id eat here again if I found myself in the same situation as the first time: in this neighborhood, needing a gluten free meal for my wife who is so hungry shes about to kill me. Hopefully the bathrooms would be working this time around. Grilled pork and eggroll noodle bowl was good. Phó was GF. Free mints at the counter after we paid and they didnt say anything when I took more than I should have. Overall this place is not terrible but some couple got married here the night before which seems terrible...they are probably separated by now

Pretty new in here, its big and spacious with tables not being so close to each other..The menu has a good variety, or course there is pho from chicken to beef..I was going to get the beef pho but instead I got the hot pot for one but sub the regular noodles with fresh noodles instead..Fresh noodles is what the new foodie trend is going on. The noodles are same as chow fun noodles but cut thin suppposingly. But hey gotta try it with pho next time. The fresh noodles are delivered every morning too. So fresh noodles it is pho sure..The hot pot comes with salmon, tofu, scallop, shrimp, fish balls, mussels, pork, and veggies such as Napa cabbage, emoji, and tong Choy and pea pods too..For the price of one which is a good deal and you a little bit of this and that. Im like yay cant decide what to put next in my mouth lol... Hot pot was sort of like making my own pho at the table with all the ingredients provided... And Im a sucker for hot pot any time of the day..Other than hot pot i tried the 2 person family meal. Which came with sweet and sour shrimp soup, clay pot cat fish, and charbroiled pork chop, with steam rice..Also had the combination pho. It was ok, nothing like wow. But it was great and love all the condiments on the table to make my own sauces to dip with my pho.

Disgusting, the lady just blew her nose right by the cashier and didnt even wash her hands while touching everything she could.. i was so pissed, that after i finish i food i was fast out of there, i would.never go back their again. I always went here but no more, tbats way to dirty. Its funny she blew her nose went to bathroom and came back and blew her nose a few more times and she delivered my food without washingg her hands.. Now im sick, i should file a complain....i guess have a bowl of noodle with some bugers on top...should have health department visit tbis place, infact most asian restaraunts. The staff is so rude and racist ! Whenever I’d ask for something politely they seem irritated or they’d make eye contact and just ignore us . I asked for another refill and one of the employees said I can only have one refill then I asked another employee and he said there’s no limit on the refill .
