Ph Hip & Grill 2 in Chula Vista

The broth here is really boring. There is zero lemongrass you, wont taste any star anise, nothing. Everything else that we got that was not soup was good. The service is sad and impersonal. I would come back but I would not get the pho. Also there was so much food packed into such a tiny bowl that I couldnt really mix it up very well and it was hard to eat without spilling broth. So then you got to drink this boring broth just to eat your food.

No bar tender, no service. Hostess needs to learn how to seat customers. Theres a lot of available tables, but they put a single customer in a 4 person booth instead of a 2 top. The kitchen doesnt have either the food or staff, so there is no chef specials or most of the appetizers. Other location is closed down. Even though theres customers, the business seems weak - no staff, inexperienced staff and limited menu.

Right now Im enjoying spending time with family in San Diego, California. We decided to have a late lunch of Vietnamese food. Oooo..yum yum. I had Pho Ga with beef meatballs added (which includes bean sprouts, Thai basil and jalapeno) plus Vegetable Tempura. This restaurant is nice with indoor and outdoor seating. Im actually surprised, but enjoying, R&B smooth music.

Bad service. They did not allow us to seat on a table while there were plenty of tables. We came for a traditional Hot Pot, they did not have it. We wanted a traditional curry, they did not have it either. They only serve men first and tempura shrimp waa full of oil. Not recommended. Bathroom was dirty, as well as the floors on the main restaurant

Honestly dining here was an amazing experience! The server was incredible at their job: memorized everyones order, quick refills and checked up on us. If the service wasnt enough the cuisine itself was another great take away from this place - spring rolls, egg rolls, pork chop rice entree, and 3 orders of various Pho options. The Vietnamese beverages offered were also refreshingly delicious: passion fruit green tea with boba and coconut jelly as well as the Tai tea. Overall my family and I enjoyed dining out at this establishment and I would highly recommend it to others, especially the patio seating that faces the nearby pond where turtles and koi fish can be seen; a pleasant view.

We did not have the best waiter. The menu is better in the telegraph canyon location.

Weve ordered takeout several times from this place and its always delicious. We decided to dine in tonight for a mini parent date night and it was awesome! The ambiance was nice, food was delicious as always and the staff is incredibly friendly. Highly recommended!

Went for lunch, fast service. Waitress remembered all of our orders without writing anything down. Pho and ice coffee were great, but price is higher than the one on telegraph canyon. Definitely will come back.

Visit SAT June 17th 5pm.Seating Hostess, no smile, unfriendly and absolutely no emotions (this is your first impression of the Restaurant, thats where it all starts)Waiter: underwhelmlingly transactional, no smile no friendlyness - who hires these people that have ZERO people skills ?Food was good as always.When it came to paying, we asked for a split check and got an eye roll - again no people skills at all.It is sad as i love to eat there but the staff is simply horrible, no smiles and bored on their phones conducting other business.

The pho is GOOD. The broth has richness to it, feels loaded with flavor without the soup being too heavy. Always get the rare steak and tendon pho 🔥
