The service here was almost as bad as the food, which is saying a lot. The broth had no flavor whatsoever, the chicken was hard and tasted at least 3 days old, the shrimp tasted old too. The egg rolls had a disgusting after taste and made them almost inedible. Water apparently isnt free and they only have bottles, which wasnt told to us, i had to ask. The woman was laughing at her phone and not paying attention to anyone at all. She was literally texting as we asked for the bill and she brought it over. The egg rolls and large pho came out to $28. Ive never felt like ive wasted so much time and money before. I dont recommend this place to anybody.

It was good and tasty. I got stuffed. Just watch out they will try to up sale on the appetizers and drinks. Thats ok i was going to order that stuff anyways. Overall nice cozy place for a big bowl of Pho.

Completely disgusted! They served us with this colorful-melted-plastic-looking inside the thai tea that we ordered!My husband find it early before we finished the drink but still we already had a few sips.We already ingested whatever chemicals/germs / nasty bacteria it has inside. We called the lady and seems she is the owner and herself could not believe what she saw and hurriedly covered the tea with her hand and said “Oh my God sorry i will change your drink!”. And we said Nooooo and refused to get any drink at all. Then she came back explaining they figure it out and told us it was a couple of candy played by one of the kids that was placed in the container of ice for drinks..Until we left the place they keep saying sorry to us. Until now i feel nauseated. They are so irresponsible in making sure the food that they served is clean. The restroom is very filthy. We did not even finished the pho that we ordered.SO DISGUSTED!

Seen plenty of good reviews of this place while I was in the area that day. At first I thought it wasnt gonna be enough even the after the fact I ordered the LARGE size bowl. But afterwards I full enough that I couldnt drink all the broth soup juice and it tasted pretty good. Good enough to go back when Im passin through again. Thanks for the well treated service as well.

I used to eat here a lot but Id always order from Doordash or send my husband. I went up there to get my usual today and they charged me 3 dollars more for what I always get and then didnt give me back my change. Horrible service. Recently this place raised up the price too crazy. We ask for a cup of ice water. They gave us a bottle for $1.5 and a cup of tea for $1. I just ask for tap water. They told us no water. Most of the food is more than $17 dollars. It was ok if food and location is good but food is just ordinary and place is dirty.

I wanted to like this place as a vietnamese person, but it wasn’t very good.The interiors were messy with toys strewn all over. I understand if they need to look after their kid while working, but it wasn’t a good look combined with the cluttered feeling.The broths seem like the use an excessive amount of sugar or msg. msg is definitely great for flavor, but the amount they used ended up overpowering any amount of natural sweetness from the daikon, vegetables used to make the base of the soup. I’d recommend you stick to the rice plates and grilled meats if you’re looking to give it a try. I ordered the thit nuong, and it was nice and smoky.Spruce up your decor and work on your broths, there will be major improvement!

Please do NOT come here!! They are shady all around!!I came here on September 24 2021, and forgot my purse with a lot of money in it. ( I understand I shouldn’t have carried that much money but I was on my way to go put a deposit down for my new place!)When I realized I left my purse at this restaurant I called them and they said they had it. So I was rushing to get there to pick it up, as soon as i get there they tell me that they did NOT have it. I kept going back and forth with them saying that someone over the phone had told me they did have it. When they realized that I was about to literally start crying & told them I wanted to see the cameras they said “ we don’t have any outside “ once I also mentioned the cameras the older women told the older man to give it to me. (Seems like they were the owners)THEY HAD IT THE WHOLE TIME BUT WERE LYING ABOUT IT!! Once he brought it out he said “you have a lot of money + money orders” and I said “ ohmygosh yes I do, what?!”And then he has the audacity to tell me to tip them.THEY WERE BLACKMAILING ME TO GET MY OWNNNN PURSE!!! Its hard to predict what your going to find inside some of these hole in the wall places isnt it?. Wednesday, noonish, we were hungry and there they were.What a find! Super clean inside. Fast service during the lunch-time rush. Lots of menu choices. The food was flavorful. Very inexpensive too.When the server put our food on the table it didnt seem like enough (I guess were used to the usual Im not fat enough portion sizes), but around the last few bites, we were both plenty full and satisfied.Looking around at the folks at the other tables, everybody seemed to be really digging their food and having a pleasant time.

This is an excellent and extremely authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I have been buying Bun bo Hue at this place for more than 10 years. No other Vietnamese restaurants in Castro Valley, Concord and Walnut Creek beat the taste of this dish.The price is reasonable. The taste is unique. Give it a try and you know what I write here is the truth.

My favorite Pho in the area. Incredible flavors. The shrimp spring rolls are fantastic & the vermicelli dishes equally great. Simple interior, but I’m there for the great food, not the atmosphere. Fun for a jeans & t-shirts family dinner or for a group of friends who just want to get their pho on. So good.

Food is great, but thats it; service is poor and owner tried to hustle me. This is my second time eating here (came yesterday) because food was good. First time waitress was kind of gangsta in taking my order, but chalked up to language and cultural barrier. Then today same waitress was a bit nicer, food good, but husband intentionally over charged. Lemonade advertised for $3, but he charged $3.65 claiming menu I used was old. However, all menus showed $3. He was willing to adjust my bill, but after i called him out on it. In addition, they charge for to-go containers, but food isnt less expensive than other places to office set. Another thing is language barrier, which Im not rating but be ready to repeat or rephrase orders.

Been eating mamas cookin for a very veeeeeerrry long time. They actually have another location on mission Pho Ty #1 which is also bomb! They are like family to us now and know exactly what we want and how we want it. Big portions and so delicious! I always get #38 Beef Stew (red soup) with white rice noodles and pork spring rolls... Mmmmm! I would never go to another restaurant for pho. Keep going back... It gets better every time 😋🍜

I just went there first time horrible experience I was order beef stew with rice and three color bean desert . When the lady make drink it was not enough coconut milk and I told her to make another one it ended up coconut was rotten but I didnt say any thing she probably will get mad. I asked to put tendon on my soup she said $3 extra. But when I got noodle very small bowl only 3 pieces of beef there and tendon really tuffed. It said $7.75 for small bowl but I got charge for that bowl $11. I asked her she said was included tax. So I ended up pay for the bill $19.75 I dont want argue because I have to go back to school. Never again in this restaurant please dont go to that place . You will be overcharge.

By far the worst customer service Ive ever experienced! This place doesnt even earn a star. The food was horrible, they tried to RIP us off and tried to play the only cash bs! Definitely will not recommended and if you want your customers to pay cash then advise before you sit them down instead of forcing your customer to use the ATM machine. If they werent going to pay for the atm fee, I told them that I guess the food we ate is on you guys! Didnt even hesitate and swiped my card right away and continued on with excuses, that they claim was not working after 9:30pm. Not going to work with me...

Great taste, Ok prices and nice staff. However I was quite disappointed with the meal when I got the PHO home and realized I had a huge pile of rice noodles and barley any meats. Good thing I like rice noodles but I still feel a little screwed with the overall meal.

This place is a neat hidden spot for Hayward. Solid and relatively large amounts of pho for a reasonable price. The service is just fine, sometimes gotta wave em down if youre seated around the bend (their seat-in is L shaped) but theyre quick to assist you once you have their attention.

Had the #18 Brisket.The broth was one of the best Ive had in a while. The fat from the meat was melting.I ordered the Med. Size. Just enough meat to noodle ratio.For the people who rate service at a Pho joint and complain. Get real. My neighborhood place. Go there a lot and also take carry-out. Very nice, very accommodating staff. They remember me and what I like. Usually get pho, occasionally rice plate. Every time i come here they try to sneakily overcharge my bill by $4 and never provide a receipt. Today, I ordered two large pho tai, one beef balls, and one dessert drink and the total the old man with glasses gave me was $29. I checked the menu and x-large pho was listed at 9.25, the meat balls 1.25, and the drink at $3.00, + 10% tax for hayward = 22.75+2.28(tax)= $25.03.Be careful at this restaurant!!

The older lady in there has over charged me for things on more than one occasion. I let it slide a few times, but I had it when she over charged me for Vietnamese coffee. I called her out on it, pointing to the price on the menu. She just scoffed and said it for her tip. Screw this place, I hope someone upper deckers their toilet.

Check the restroom when you arrive and youll see the most mold infested bathrooms youve ever seen. Wish I could attach a photo. I almost ran out the place. If there are no cleaning standards and the bathroom allowed to look like that, what other compromises are there? Cross contamination? Spoiled meats? Chefs not washing their hands? See for yourself.

Oh my gosh! Must have been an off day for the cook. As soon as I got the bowl of pho is was way too salty. I usually get water at pho’s that I go to and they usually give me tap. Right off the bat he gave me bottle water to up the price for the overpriced nasty pho. Really tried to eat the pho and just gave up. It really was too salty and they didn’t even put all the ingredients listed in the menu. I told them and they didn’t care so I paid and took off, never to return to this place ever. Shocking how I found a bad pho place.
