A nice place serving some good pho. We got the beef pho, vegetarian fresh spring roll, vegetarian rice plate and rice with shrimp on the side. We also got Vietnamese coffee. The food was good, but a little sweet. I would definitely recommend you go here at least once! The beef pho was very authentic and the fresh spring rolls were super!

Not in picture but we absolutely loved the grilled pork bbq. I’ve had better Pho and I find this place to be a bit messy. Maybe because it was busy? Full of customers? Nevertheless serving size was really really enormous. Staff are also friendly, accommodating.

Our go to spot for Pho and noodle dishes since they opened years ago. New owners took over recently and have kept the quality unchanged plus added a boba tea and smoothie additions to the menu. Will remain our go to spot. Always really good.

I usually go there once every 2-3 weeks, and like their Chin Pho with well-done brisket very much. If hungry I would order a large size pho with an extra bowl of noodle 😛 Yummy!

Delicious Pho, So-so Rice, Super Busy on WeekendsCasual restaurant serving delicious piping hot Pho. Cant say the same for their rice dishes. The medium-rare steak the mister ordered is medium-well and well-done at some parts. Papaya shrimp salad is not bad. Fried egg rolls are quite nice.On a busy weekend, staff can be quite impatient. Overall a good experience still as we were catching up with friends.

Portion size is above average, but the noodles tasted a lot like instant, (hard to chew), and the meat was so-so, with too much fat.If it were significantly cheaper, I would have no issue, but it was over $18, so save your money and try another pho place since theyre all expensive post-COVID anyway.Ordered Pho Tai Gau for delivery so no comment on restaurant experience or other items.

Came here with my friend on a Wednesday afternoon and had no wait and this place was big so it wasn’t hard to get seating.Food: We got the pork vermicelli and the pork chop rice plate and the food kind of looks like it came from a cafeteria. It doesn’t really look too appetizing and is bland colored. The taste was alright, but our pork chop was overly cooked and not savory. The noodles kept breaking too.Service: We had a bit of trouble communicating with the waiters here but it was easy to pay at the front.Ambiance: Casual place but has fancy lights and signs.Overall wasn’t a great Vietnamese place compared to other places I’ve been to and wouldn’t come back.

I used to eat here all the time pre-pandemic. The quality was good and consistent. Not so much anymore. My first time back in quite a while there were several issues.The first issue was the spring roll I ordered as an appetizer came 10 minutes after my main meal. The second issue was the quality of my pho ga. The broth was close to flavorless and the chicken was overcooked to the point of being dry and very tough.The last issue was that my check came and the pho ga was rung up as $18.50 when the menu said $17.50. Instead of correcting the price, they added a 5% discount totaling $.92. I know it sounds a bit petty, but I shouldn’t be paying a penny more than what it’s listed on the menu for - especially in light of the rubber chicken which ruined the meal for me.I won’t be returning at these prices with such low quality. Steer clear if you want a good meal at a fair value.

This place has been here for over 15 years and the food taste great. It is busy at lunch and dinner time. Expect a period of wait during cold weather. Really great offering of the pho-beef,chicken and vegetarian. Great alternative with rice noodles and rice plates.

I always come to this place since i work close by and whenever i did not bring food for lunch.Before pandemic, they have good pho. I can really taste the beef broth and the bowl is filled with ingredients.After pandemic, i understand, business is tough. Their price went up. And i was hoping the quality will remain the same since they increase the price.The quality went down. The broth taste like water. The ingredients is less.Its used to be a good pho place, now its a BAD pho place. Not planning to return to this place.

A traditional Vietnamese restaurant that has delicious pho and other reasonably priced menu items. The serving sizes are usually huge and enough for 2 meals. The only thing Ive been unhappy with is the pearl milk tea, which (unless its Thai milk tea) is made with powdered artificial flavoring that gives it a gross consistency.

Overall a very good restaurant. Pho was flavorful. The large size was generous with lots of good quality meat. Fresh bean sprouts and basil leaves. We also had the Vietnamese spring rolls and they were of good quality. Service was abrupt, not unexpected for a genuine Asian restaurant where the emphasis is on food rather than ambience.

I don’t recommend this place. It wasn’t a bad experience, but it also wasn’t above mediocre. The dish I got was significantly lacking in flavor (although it may just be the way the dish was. It was P-4 on the menu). Among the other dishes the people at my table had I can only recommend the egg rolls (which were very good, especially with the lime dipping sauce). The only real complaint is the slow service. It felt like the servers were always working on something else and didn’t see you no matter how many times you tried to call them. Our table also ordered a chow mein which never arrived (but it wasn’t added to the bill so they probably just forgot we ordered it). The restaurant itself was fine but felt outdated and somewhat run down. At the tables there are condiments like soy sauce and hot sauce as well as sauce dishes and soup spoons, but all them are out in the open and touched by many people without being cleaned which is kind of gross in my opinion. At least the chopsticks were individually wrapped. So in conclusion, if you want pho this place works, but expect a mediocre experience and average dish.

Food is good. Menu has basic items that youd expect from a Pho restaurant. But I wish the broth was much hotter (temperature-wise). Also felt like the restaurant didnt turn up the heat so it was colder than I wanted on a cloudy day before rain. The servers were attentive most of the time. They did receive quite a bit of takeout orders. Its worthwhile to try, but dont expect exceptional surprises.

Warning: Go elsewhere!!!! Unhygienic— she unceremoniously pulled off the last person’s placemat & napkins & put a new placemat & napkin on the opposite side without wiping the table clean. GROSS!! It took 25min. to get a simple order of grilled chicken in a vermicelli bowl. This is the worst Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. & believe me I know great Vietnamese food! Chicken tasted like regular overcooked chewy grilled chicken not marinated properly. On a vermicelli bowl they didn’t even slice it into slivers for ease of use w chopsticks. Had to ask for a knife & fork. & try cutting tough chicken in a bowl with liquid sugar water for sauce in it. It came with vermicelli, chicken & “droppings” of lettuce & cucumber (can barely see any). No bean sprouts. No spring roll. & the price was a total ripoff! US$18+ tip! Go anywhere else!

The best Pho in Mountain View hands down. Not only are the noodles cooked at just the right amount of time but the beef is too. So many places over cook the beef so its hard to chew. This place does it just right so the well done flank is tender. But what makes this place outshine the competition is their secret broth recipe. It is amazing!!! And especially good when its raining and cold outside. If you dont like rice noodles, then not to worry, their egg noodles are amazing here too. Lastly, the portion size...its very generous and I definitely left full! Even the customer service is amazing! 5 stars! Will keep coming back here.

Pho is satisfying but you have to special order cilantro. Fried egg rolls have too much pate taste. Super quick and clean, and casual. My favorite place to eat when weather turn foul. The soups there are so warming that I cant imagine having them on a hot day. For the warm days I prefer vermicelli salads with meet and prawns on top. In my opinion, best Pho in the area. We always get seated and served ridiculously fast. Theyre very conscientious of our friends with diet restrictions and weve never had any issues. If you dont like the beef I highly recommend the P-16 (chicken). Its like chicken noodle soup but way better.

I came here a lot growing up, and didn’t realize until recently that you can better pho and better service almost anywhere else.They don’t treat Asians very well, they’re more impatient and less friendly. You’ll stand around waiting to be seated, waiting to be waited on, etc. Which is so weird if you ask me. Look around and see how they treat Asians vs other folks. You’ll see it.

We have eaten here, easily, 50 times. It is consistent; the family who owns and operates the restaurant knows their patrons by name and the food is good and inexpensive. This isnt for door-dash, go to the restaurant and just take it in. Lunchtime can be busy but they get the diners in and out quickly enough that you wont be late for that 1pm meeting at the office.

Ordered two large orders of pho for pick-up and wish I had checked it right there in the restaurant. Got home and found a small fly floating on top of the broth. Family lost our appetite, had to dump both pho down the drain. Waste of $30. Weve eaten here several times before, but wont be back. I hate wondering how sanitary the kitchen staff are if this fly got in there, and wasnt noticed when they put the lid on the container.

Expedited service at lunch time for fast turn around, good thing as it is always crowded, the waitress takes your order and you most often never see her again, you just go to the counter to pay before you leave (ideally).

Top Pho and Vietnamese food in silicon valley. Yeah, you can get this kind of food in many places. But Ive had more than 5 years frequenting this restaurant. They crank out soup way faster than youd believe and its so good. Watch them carry these humongous heavy trays with multiple big bowls of soup. Great vermicelli too.

This used to be a 5 star review however they keep raising their prices but havent kept up with the competition in the area when it comes to quality, flavor, service, or value. Rating is now based on location, vibe, and nostalgia...this has been a Palo Alto/Mountain View staple for years and they still serve good food.I always get the P-08 (steak and brisket) with extra Tendon on the side. The broth is great, the noodles are always perfect, the service is quick, and they are always consistent. They also have a wide variety of other classic Vietnamese dishes and even some Chinese dishes. I love both their Spring and Summer rolls.@treatyousef

Classic pho joint. Fantastic noodle soups, delicious boba tea. Easy in and out for lunch. The Thai Iced Tea was terrific, with and without pearls. We really enjoyed both the chicken and the meatball soups. Wait to be seated, table service, then get up to pay based on your table number. Dont be a fool sitting there waiting for a check (ahem). More parking around back.

The waiters at this restaurant are very rude. They took an unreasonably long time to take my order. The wait was long enough that I had to approach a waiter to tell her that I was ready to order. When I did that, she sassed me with a yeah, yeah. Im usually not picky with service, but its unacceptable when waiters are actively rude and sassy. Some other waiter ended up taking my order after a long while.Most of the meat in the pho was decent enough, but the tripe tasted old and musty and the broth was plain enough that I wasnt sure they made it with actual beef. Also, they gave us only 1/6 of a lime for each bowl of pho and were very stingy with the basil.

They have good pho here, with a nice selection of fresh additions they bring out with it for you to add. I got the chicken-based pho. Its good, but the chicken was a touch dry, especially considering it was in soup. This is a good place for big groups, as they have long tables that with seat around 10 comfortably.

Pho here is pretty good. Have yet to try other items on the menu. The pho is served to you fresh and fast. However, the service is a little less to be desired. I have been in many times and the one man (the guy who owns it?) always gives customers a bad attitude. The other staff have always been very friendly. Its my go to for pho and the price is decent.

Pho tai gans beef was too cooked, not overly generous on the tendons. Pho comes with chopped scallions and no cilantro. Jalapeno pepper pieces were large and spicy. They serve faux Pho, which is to say that it lacked the depth, aromatics, and flavor of most any Pho I have ever had. They serve it with lemons and a sparse amount of greens. I also ordered the egg rolls. . again, disappointed. They were blah on flavor and didnt come with the customary rau (romaine lettuce leaves, pickled daicon and carrots, and frsh sliced cucumber) that I have literally gotten at every other Vietnamese restaurant. A of this for just north of $18. If you have ever had Pho or want your first experience to be memorable, forget this place!

This place has delightfully grouchy service. Go there, order your food in a timely fashion, get served quickly, pay, and leave. No nonsense. No Lollygagging.This is not the best Pho in town, but it is the only one that Ive found which actually uses vegetarian broth (and does a good job of it). Their meat pho is good too, just not as good as Pho Nam in Sunnyvale (there isnt a single vegetarian item on Pho Nams menu however).I eat with vegetarians a lot and Pho Vi Hoa is always very good for everyone.

Unfortunately, this place doesnt have any redeeming qualities. Upon entering, me and two friends were only angrily gestured by the staff toward a table, and provided with one too few menus. Following this, we purchased the Beer Tendon Pho and the Chicken Curry plates. Everything was extremely bland and had no flavor, and was clearly over boiled. The rice that was served was actually partially burnt. In addition, we were perpetually ignored by a staff that seemed completely ambivalent about customer experience. We had to go up to the kitchen just for basic services such as water refills and the eventual check after the meal. This is not a location worth trying or returning to in its current form.

I used DoorDash to order delivery from this place today and Im pretty disappointed. I ordered the grilled chicken rice plate, and my coworkers had the pork & shrimp vermicelli. The chicken was pretty hard and dry and it was difficult to chew. My coworkers shrimp & pork plate only had 2 pieces of shrimp in it. It was pretty skimpy... skimp on the shrimp, lol. Ill only give this place 2 stars for the amount of shrimp they gave.

Now Ive had my fair share of pho in my day, living in the Bay and what not, so I hope that Id know what good pho and bad pho tastes like. Places like Pho Kim Long have the hype train, but its honestly not that awesome.The thing about Pho Vi Hoa is that its always solid and consistent. The broth is never too salty and wont give you the infamous MSG dry mouth. By far, thats what I despise the most. I dont want to be drinking a bowl of broth, and THEN drink 3 cups of water like I just got done playing a pick up game. The meat is pretty clean, and portions are always hefty when it comes to pho.Aside from the pho, their spring rolls are pretty solid. For a mere $5, you get 4 fatty spring rolls that can easily make you full. Tons of seats here and its actually a clean pho restaurant. Crazy and unbelievable huh? Worried about prices? Then this place will set you straight for a measly $6-7. This place is legit pho-shizzle.

This is my favorite pho place in town. Super inexpensive, a legitimate and tasty vegetarian option, and the food comes out super fast. Its a little noisy, and the servers are fast but fairly attentive. The menu is extensive.

Pho in their name, and a 4 star rating, I was so excited to try theirs.The large pho ga (about 12$) I had was saddly just meh; and was the smallest large a bowl of any pho Ive ever had (up/down CA, HI and WA). The noodles tasted pretty old, like they had been open in the dry storage for a while. The chicken was very dry; true this dish tends to have dry meat, but theirs was abnormally dry. And, they skimped on the green onion, white onion, jalapeno, and basil-you know the spices-and charge for extra.The fresh spring rolls rice wrap was overcooked therefore mushy, plus the shrimp were definately not fresh.Im a fan of efficiency, but my service was just sad. No hello, thank you, is everything ok, nothing. The total interaction: I was greeted with an arm wave to direct me to a booth, menus on the table. A man came over w/a tray of poured (very iced) waters, asked how many? and put one glass down. Another man came over shortly after and asked you know what you want or what? I ordered. Small or large? large; that all? yes, thank you. A 3rd man came w/my spring rolls, followed soon by a woman w/my soup. Neither said a thing. I ate. No one came by. I finished. I waited for a check; gave up and went to the register. I said I would like to pay. OK the transaction was completed and I left w/o another word said.I appreciate the varity on the menu and that the place was clean, but my experience was huge disappointment. Add to the lackluster food and service, the ambiance was sad-no theme/art nor music. I could hear nearly everyone elses service, like mine but a few tables had missed orders (w/o a sorry, let me get that right away).So, that was my one experience there. You choose to go or not. With so many other Pho/Vietnamese options in SJ I wont be back.

This is my go-to, no frills pho place. My friends and I have been coming here for so long that they recognize us. I get the side eye from them if I show up with a different group of friends or do something strange like order to go. Faves are the regular pho, the veggie fried egg rolls, and the vermicelli bowls.
