I been coming here for years, but I stopped coming once covid hit. I decided to come today and Im disappointed. I ordered the usual beef stew, and they brought out a rare beef soup smh. They fixed my order, but I noticed that my plate is definitely a lot smaller than before, yet the price from $8 pre-covid has now gone up to $12.99. I go to many of these restaurants, and i noticed they are using the size small plate for a medium and the size medium for a large, I was even able to finish it when I usually take half home. If youre trying to get your moneys worth, it is not here. At least not anymore. Will not be returning after today. I paid the same price here $29 for two large (medium plate) soups than I do on a family meal that feeds my family of 6 at Panda Express. With price hype, I expected the place to be renovated to a much cleaner look to make you feel at least like the place is worth it, but its the same hole in the wall. I wish the place good luck for the future. Last thing I will mention is that I gave a cash tip and I noticed it was pocketed by an older lady that charged me and was not my server. Shame on them.

For a restaurant this place was pretty fast with my order and it was a huge bowl. Definitely got more than I paid for I feel like. Great place to eat and practice using chopsticks. FYI: they provide you a fork on the side

Love this place, their food is authentic and delicious. They tend to get busy often so their service sometimes falls short. But as long as you know what you want and are ready to enjoy your food things go smoothly.

This is my all time favorite restaurant in Modesto hands down. They are FAST, and their food is authentic and clean. The atmosphere is not immaculate, but their service, efficiency and amazing food makes up for it. Plus, they are not expensive. Extremely affordable in todays economy. I go there at least once a week. If you want a bouji place with nice lighting that has mediocre service and takes 40minutes to get your okay tasting food, go somewhere else. If you want fast, affordable, authentic, GOOD food, go here!

THE COOK IS CRAZY! I sent my food back because it wasnt what I ordered so the waitress took the food back and for some reason he got mad & started yelling at me almost attacking me. I dont know what triggered him but Sending food back shouldnt have been a big deal.

Ummmm… what the heck happen to this place? This isn’t close to authentic. This is like one of them pho bowls noodles you get from the Asian store and microwave it for 2 mins. This isn’t authentic Vietnamese or Chinese food whatsoever. But hey if you could settle for less ✌🏻

The servers are nice but the older folks messed up my order and didnt want to fix it and it was just a sandwich, but I got a duck. Was kinda sad and didnt want to argue but the old lady walked away from me without correcting the order was sad as my first time there.

We love ordering food here for my Mom. Unfortunately the last two times theyre have been issues with our order. The first time half of my order was missing and the 2nd time I made sure to double-check my order and they made a mistake with my order.I love their food and we are loyal customers despite these hiccups. They are very busy most of the time so we order ahead of time. I would suggest that they work on their phone orders and pick-up process to ensure that less mistakes are made.

I order some pho noodles mostly everything in my bowl was supposed to be beef. I dont like fish and my food tastes of fish. Either its mixed-up in there or they didnt do a great job of having clean utensils for me to use. So as for me I rather not go there anymore.

This place used to be good and everything correct. Now its just going downhill fast. Its been close to 2 years for the decline. Incorrect order taking and overcharging items that they miss to give to you and its worse if you have a credit or debit card which is an extra 50 cent charge per transaction. I know its a $1 but that dollar could have gone toward something else like helping to fill up a 5 gallon water jug. And I have to pay for their mistake. I would understand if they were busy and understaffed but they had 3 tables and 5 waitresse which makes things worse. Last time we dined in, we found a couple of dead mosquitoes in one of the soups we ordered and they still charged us for it. My word of advice is if you plan on coming here please REPEAT what you want to them as many times as needed and when you do get your order DONT LEAVE and DOUBLE CHECK to make sure you have everything you ordered. I cant stress this enough. I really do hope they make a turn around and be as how they were before.

Great tasting food! Staff is very friendly and the restaurant is very clean. First time I try the food and I will definitely be going back. There was about a half hour wait for food due to being short staffed but it was worth the wait. The fried rice is so good !

I used to love this place but now Im never going back. The customer service sucks. The server had no customer service skills. You never reach over a wall to drop off silverware and food. She reached over the wall to hand us silverware and our plates. She did not check our waters to see if we needed refills. She was cleaning with rags then went and grabbed plates and served without washing her hands. When we went to the cash register to pay she rang us up and put her palm out without telling me the total (there was no display on the register). So I had to ask her what is the total. The food is good but the customer service needs work big time. Well go to Saigon one instead.

Went to dine outside they placed us right next to a cart with all the dirty dishes. Then took our order after about 35 minutes of waiting they asked us what we ordered, again. So in total spend around 50 minutes waiting for food that never showed up, or confirmation that it was being made so I left. They may have good food, they may have terrible food, who knows; all I know is that this food probably isnt worth an hour wait.

This restaurant has without a doubt the best Vietnamese food in all of Stanislaus County. Just the other day we my husband and I decided to pay them a long overdue visit since whatever changes due the the corona virus. Unfortunately not a great reception compared to what we were used to. First we asked for the traditional complimentary side soup which is now $2 extra due to cost of takeout container we were told. Next when we arrived at home they gave me a Beef plate instead of the pork chop plate that I had ordered. Who’s fault was it the hostess that said the pork chop plate was the #1 plate or the people in the back that just got the order wrong. Unfortunately we will take a hiatus from them for some time to let both the food and our patience time to Cool.

If you like phò then youll absolutely love this place. Lots of variety to choose from and it is all delicious. Theres a little bit of something for everyone and if you are open minded to trying something different then this is the right spot for you. The service is really friendly and quick to get your order from the kitchen to your table. The prices are pretty affordable, especially if you are on a budget. I totally recommend this restaurant to anybody craving Asian cuisine.

First time trying this joint out cause our reguar spot was closed (reason unknown) so I looked up. My daughter was hesitant to try a new place. We walked and we were graciously greeted immediately. Our order was taken quickely and food arrive without a long wait. The staff was very attentive not by 1 but 3 nice gentleman. My daughter even ordered incorrectly. They took it back with no hassle. Found our new spot! Also its an older place but very clean 👌 a plus!

Very disappointed in their service. I went in there with my partner only to not be acknowledged the whole time. We went in and waited to be seated...time passed. So I asked about being sat and was told to sit wherever. We sat down and were given menus, only to never be attended for 30 minutes. Not even refreshments. Then, a huge party of 14 came in and were attended right away. We were then asked to sit somewhere else so they can use the table we were sitting in for that huge party...wow.

Since we moved from Lodi, we weren’t close to Mac Pho in Stockton anymore. That is favorite Pho restaurant and since then have been trying to find something as close as possible. We tried this place out and they’re pretty great! I usually just get the Chicken Pho with fried/roasted garlic and it’s always delicious. The staff are very nice and check on you often when you eat in. The location is kinda blah, but don’t let that stop you from coming in to get a hot bowl!

This place is it for pho, vermicelli, etc. My favorite is the mongolian beef. Its spicy, savory and the meat is super tender. Their pho is perfectly balanced and you can taste every layer. No muddy broth. The meat here is fresh as well as their vegetables. The place is clean and well maintained. Ive been going here for over 15 years and its been consistent from day one. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a fast fresh, delicious meal at a totally affordable price.

The bbq pork sandwiches arent the same. I ordered the large shrimp Pho and it only had five shrimp. The Pho was okay not like I remember it from a few years back. They also messed up our order. Two members of our party did not get their food and when they did it was small and not large as it had been ordered.

Meanwhile 5 other tables who had arrived after us got thier meals and they were almost done eating before we even got ours. Terrible terrible terrible! My wife and I stopped by here on our way to Seattle. We ordered the Dinner for 2 sweet and sour chicken, chicken fried rice and chow mein, two egg rolls and chicken in tin foil. It was pretty decent. The atmosphere was very open and relaxed. We were the only ones in the place, which lasted about 10 minutes, then more customers came in. This was around 5 pm on a Thursday.The restrooms could used some help though. I had seen two worms at the base of toilet. Not sure what type of worms they were.

Definitely not impressed with this restaurant and I have been to a good number of “good“ Vietnamese restaurants.Well I came here was to quench my thirst and bought a pearl drink… Taro Pearl drink. All I got was a cup of powdered drink that never was completely mixed by the time I walked out of the restaurant. And even some of the powder drink was stuck to the cup and was not completely mixed in. As far as I can tell, the customer to come by here don’t know the difference between good Vietnamese and GOOD Vietnamese.

I was driving back from Yosemite with my bf and we were looking for a good Viet place on the way back. Wasn’t expecting much from this place since it was the first thing I found on Google Maps and located in a somewhat sketch strip mall close to the highway.Let me say, I am Vietnamese and have eaten at very many pho restaurants in my life and I was VERY impressed with the #1 Pho. I ordered a small but it came LOADED with all the traditional pho meats (brisket, tripe, meatball, tendon, etc). I almost couldn’t finish all of it. The broth was also very tasty and flavorful - this place has legit pho, gonna give the #1 an A+. My bf ordered the spring rolls and the pork chop rice plate, and both were also very tasty. I recommend too the coconut drink (with coconut meat).Can’t believe anyone would have anything bad to say about the food here, cause it exceeded all my expectations and more. If you’re looking for authentic Vietnamese pho, this place has it.

My favorite Pho place in Modesto. I usually get it to go and go back to work with it, so my view is only about take out. They container with the toppings is always soooo full. Fresh basil, cilantro, green onions, onion, jalapeno, limes are always jam packed and plenty of meat and noodles too. The shrimp rolls with peanut sauce are a meal to themselves!

First time going to this place. I orderded shrimp noodle soup, first soup had no flavor whatsoever very plain. Then we ordered chinese food, chwmein was hard and cold, chicken was ok, we also ordered eggrolls they were BAD. It looked like they used old oil to make them so yes. Costumer service was good. The best Noodle House in town! My wife and I have been eating here for over 18 years. Love Number 1, Combo Fried Rice, #63, Chicken in Foil, Sweet & Sour Pork, Seafood Boon, Chicken Chow Mein, BBQ Pork over rice are among some of our favorites. We eat there at least once a week. Service can be slow at times but worth the wait.

Was on my way back South to San Diego from SF. I stopped in for a delicious bowl of pho to take a break from the rain and cold and it was well worth the detour! A Vietnamese family owned and operated place, very humble and kind service. The locals seemed to enjoy it very much and travellers are grateful. Great prices, so please tip them well :).

This place really isnt much to look at. It is located in a really sketchy looking strip mall and they dont appear to have done anything at all to update the look of the place in years.Despite this, the pho is great! Since arriving in this area from the bay area my wife and I have lamented the loss of good pho. We are now regulars at this place and highly recommend the pho. The other menu items vary from good to just okay, but the pho is always delicious.I wouldve given this place 4 stars last year because they inconveniently only accepted cash, BUT they now accept credit cards/debit so I am upping the review to 5 stars.

Came here after eating Pho in Tracy and was craving more. Restaurant very plain, in a strip shopping center and they offered quick service. Only complaint is that the stock isnt as flavorful as some of the other Pho Soups I have eaten. Price is cheaper than in Tracy.
