Never loved a Vietnamese restaurant more than this one! Absolutely obsessed with their chicken satay as well as their brisket pho. Love the ambiance of the restaurant, great location, never need to wait to get seated, friendly staff, amazing food, quick service! High recommend!!!

The bread was so soft and the meat was seasoned to perfection, not to mention plentiful.The sweet potato fries were flavorful and both sauces were delicious.Typically places provide only one sauce for the sandwich, it was such a pleasant surprise to receive a sauce of the sandwich and a separate sauce of the fries.I generally only have half a sandwich and save the other half for later, but this place was soo delicious I ate both!!***HIGHLY recommend***

Where can I start? We’ve been coming to this Family owned Pho restaurant for 2+ years! We make the drive all the way from Downey cause the bowl of Pho is that delicious! Everything here from a bowl of Pho to the Shaken Beef Plate to chicken wings are chefs kiss! And don’t get me started on the drinks! Pomegranate martinis hit the spot! The customer service is great! Let’s not forget it’s also dog friendly! Its Mr. Snowps 🐶 approved 👍🏼 To those who are coming from LA and need a Pho Spot out here in Irvine after a long day of shopping come thru to Phans Kitchen and Bar you won’t regret it!

Owner is an amazing, talked to me and my friends and talked about the business and his story of getting the place. I’ve been here before a year ago and the food this time was way different in a good way. Food is really high quality and tasted amazing. Easily one of my favorite pho spots to go now. Prices are really good. 10/10 recommend to anyone.

Great small location, parking is limited by the restaurant but also a structure that looks like you need to pay. Food was great and definitely exceeded expectations. Sat at the bar but also regular seating as well. One of the best Pho places I’ve been to, and bowls around 14-18$ on average, definitely worth it. Will be coming again for Pho, curry and banh mi’s. The owner Chris was very nice as well and the rest of the staff too.

This is hands-down the best Vietnamese restaurant you’ll have. The garlic chicken noodle is absolutely delicious and the Pho is world-class. Initially, we were going to get everything to go, but decided to sit inside and enjoy the meal — the service was excellent. We were greeted by smiles and thanks throughout our experience. Kind of unfriendly mannerism and attitude by the staff. Only one lady that was working everywhere and looked super busy seemed to be genuinely nice (glasses lady). The food was bland and is like a fusion of more than one cuisine. For pho particularly, youll get superior pho at a family owned business in Costa Mesa/Garden Grove/Westminster areas for $10. If nothing else is open near you, then I recommend this place. Otherwise, make the drive to the next pho place!

We Googled Local Pho and we came here for the first time. We got Lemongrass Seafood Soup, BBQ Pork Sandwhich and Royal Fried Rice. Bruuhhh everything was delicious and great atmosphere and staff. I was also able to watch the UFC and Saturday Night NFL game. Looking forward to coming back and trying new food.

A neighborhood gem! On top of the food being absolutely delicious, Chris and his team go above and beyond in terms of hospitality. The wonton soup will be something I will be getting on a weekly basis, and the guava lychee martini is something special. I am looking forward to the upcoming sushi and speakeasy expansion!

I really loved this pho. Ive had pho from the midwest region to here now and this is my second favorite pho spot. My first pick is in Wichita, KS. The crab ragoon is fried perfectly, its so nice to actually taste the crab, it didnt taste like the cheap imitation crab. The cream cheese was not over bearing either. The pho broth is AMAZING!! Before I added my sriracha I could taste the spices and flavor from the onion and bones. I always get too full to finish an entire bowl but I will definitely be coming back to this pho spot quite often.

🤮Absolute Garbage 🗑️. The quality and the flavors are horrible. I had the “orange chicken”. I don’t know what it was, but it did not taste anything like any orange chicken I have ever had. It actually had a hint of fish within whatever the coating was, other than that it was flavorless. As for the pho, it was also flavorless and had next to nothing in it. The short rib however was descent.

Ive been to this location 3 times...I really wanted to be a fan...I love pho and this place is walking distance to where I live, but its the worst overpriced pho I have yet to have.The most recent visit, I was the only patron and there were 4 employees. I watched my pho sit on their kitchen counter for 5 min. Until I finally went up and offered to carry it over to my table myself. The cook in the back instead brought it over but I was still missing utensils, soup garnishing and the extra limes I asked for. That took another 4 min to get.The noodles were undercooked, again and their egg rolls smelled of stinky rags. Couldnt finish either. Never going back. So disappointed.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated with great ambience. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and attentive. I ordered the Pho with Brisket and Filet and the Royal fried rice. The meat in the pho was a great cut and perfectly cooked. The broth was absolutely delicious, one of my favorite pho broths Ive tried, and i have had many. The fried rice also did not disappoint. It was flavorful and well seasoned. Must try this place!!

Came here for Pho a few times. Pretty good favor, but not as developed as some Pho broths. Have not had other dishes, but they seemed to look pretty good. They have a bar and have changed their name from Phans 55, so I think they are trying to go a bit more upscale and atarct a more hip crowd.Located in an apartment complex, so parking is limited outside, but there is a parking structure

I walked in to be seated and after standing there for a few minutes, I walked to the lady at the counter and asked her I should seat myself and she shood me without saying a word so I assumed I should keep waiting at the door. Nothing happens then I asked the bartender if he can seat us and he turns to me and doesnt seem like he wanted to help me. He made eye contact with me a few times. It was 8 pm. Not busy at all. I called ahead to see when last call was and the lady said 8:30. Not coming back here. If you dont want to serve me just tell me.

This spot is Americanized. We stopped by for a quick pickup before we headed to the airport. We got the pork and beef banh mi. It surprisingly came with sweet potato fries and a salad. The banh mi itself is bigger than usual, but the beef was too saucy making my bread a bit soggy and the pork has a kick of spice but overly flavored. About $55 for three orders which is expensive for Banh Mi. Ive had better.

I order online and went to pick up my order- upon arrival I had no place where to park, so due to the fact that no signs directing you for additional parking elsewhere i had to risk it and park in a red line, once I was able to managed parking and entered rhe restaurant no one was at the entrance attending new guests or pick up orders, the restaurant seemed to not be as packed but more and mkre people were arriving the manager or owner of the place along with otjer staff seemed to be overwhelmed and were running up and down serving rhe 5 plus party tables, after 5 minutes and no one coming to ask if we needed help then I went to the first person I could approach and she said are tou waiting for a table i said no im here to pick up this order i placed 45 minutes she said let me check and get back to you, after 5 more minutes i went and ask her again and she said is coming and then after 20 minutes i direct myself to the manager or owner of this unprofessional place and she pretty much ignored me so i went ahead and approached a Hispanic lady that seemed wanting to help and I told her my order has been plced over an hour ago, she said sorry to hear that let me check and after 5 minutes she came back apologizing and said they made a mistake with your order but they are on it, - at this time I had already been at this place for more than 25 minutes and the boss lady or manager of this place kept seating and seating people and not caring about giving good service to people but to get as much clients as she could, while i was waiting for my food i noticed people at the tables trying to get someone to attend their orders but seemed that no one was available for them, many of the guests at the tables were getting up from their chairs and grabbing napkins from the kitchen counters in view that no waitresses or waiters were attending their table needs, others where just looking around to see if they could have someone to take their orders and other simply got up and left... This place may have good tasting food but honestly (I had better) and to make it worse it took me another 20 plus minutes to get my food ready- This place was a complete disaster, if you are hungry and want to take friends or family to enjoy some good vietnamese or Asian food I recommend to call this place first and ask how long would it take to get a table and them ask after seating down, how long for your food to be approximately aready of course based in what you will be ordering... I gave it 2 stars because the place inside was a little fancy and the fried wontons were good, but honestly try to prevent a bad lunch experience at this place, maybe dinner might be different or worse who knows I honestly wouldnt like to find out because dealing with parking will be the first issue to deal with at the beginning. Formally Phans 55 with another owner, the place has been switched out to new ownership, name, and ideas. Fast transitions turn overs can be hard and can take a minute but happy to say now that Food Menu has been elevated as well as new yummy boutique upscale libations, and the new Giant projection Tv is up and running…this restaurant is absolutely PACKED!! They’ve been getting bombed. 🤣 I think we are gonna need a bigger boat! 🤣Chris, Bernie, and the staff are amazing. Convenient parking. Great Dining Experience.

I have tried a new dish almost every time that I have been in. The owners, Nghi & Chris, go above and beyond to ensure that customers are catered to. A hidden gem with world class customer service. Definitely recommend trying for yourself. Favorite dishes so far; kolbi beef short ribs, crab Rangoons, banh mi sandwich, and crispy imperial spring rolls.. and any cocktail from the menu - great pours.

Came down from the Bay Area to bring our new freshman to UC Irvine and stumbled upon this wonderful Vietnamese restaurant. Really delicious and expertly prepared dishes coupled with friendly and attentive service made our meal truly memorable. We’ll be back in October for parents weekend and for sure we’ll become regulars over the next four years. The owner Chris, personally greeted us when we arrived and it was nice to see so many smiling faces among the employees and the diners. This place is the Ferrari of Vietnamese food in Irvine!

We decided to try somewhere new and unfortunately had a terrible experience. Our first order was ultimately cancelled because we were messaged about a menu item being unavailable while we were on our way down and asked to change the order. Once the order was changed (within the given time frame) we received a message saying the order had been canceled. After placing a second order (that went through) we picked up our meal only to find that everything we ordered was undercooked and/or missing ingredients listed in the dish. The yellow chicken curry didnt have any vegetables and was simply the chicken in a curry sauce. The kalbi meal was 4 kalbi short rib pieces and a small scoop of brown rice. The shaken beef fillet was just some beef and onion with a lone tomato slice but no rice or other mixed greens to be seen. The braised short rib was the most food out of any of the dishes we selected even though it was missing the mushroom rice. That said, it was barely cooked and had the sauce added after the meat was barely browned. I really feel like the $100+ we spent was misplaced and dont understand why the meals are offered if the only good reviews are for dine-in pho. Admittedly I should have read the reviews before ordering for our family of 5, but really feel like my money and time was wasted ordering here. I may try them again, but definitely not until this pandemic passes so we can try the dine-in pho experience.

Wonderful place, great staff. The owner is so sweet. The chicken spring rolls are fantastic, the food is always very fresh and hot. Be careful around 12:30-1, they get incredibly busy.Today, I had the wonton soup. It was full bodied and savory, the wontons had lots of meat and a good bite to them.I often get the eggplant tofu, which is delicious. Be aware that eggplant holds heat for a looong time and you will burn your mouth. The chicken curry is also good, as well as the beef and broccoli. I dont think Ive ever had a bad meal here. My only possible complaint could be that they get so busy i have to wait more than 5 minutes for my food.Update: they are under new ownership. The new owner is the nephew of the previous owner. The food is even better than before and the atmosphere is great. I love coming here and Im excited to be back again soon.

Good Viet food, a little pricey compared to Westminster but expected for the area. Interior is very nice and (unusual for a Viet restaurant) includes a large bar. My daughter ordered a Banh Mi sandwich (which is available but not on the menu) and said it was the best shes ever had. Pho is ok, and Bun was good.

When I ordered, it seemed like I bought an expensive lunch. But the portions were good enough that I got really full and still have enough left for dinner. Their tofu spring rolls and tofu fried rice are both really good, though the rice felt a bit more oily than I would have preferred. On another note, I called in advance and was advised it may take about 20 mins. I got there in less than 10 mins, and the food was ready by the time I finished paying, so it was perfect timing. I definitely recommend, and will be back for more!

Too fancy for their own good. Serve up a good pho and call it good. Having said that, the pho was good, run of the mill. Skip the chicken curry. It was way too watery and the chicken was grey in color. Totally unappetising. Instead of trying so hard to elevate this by pressing the chicken into a form and serving it in the middle the dish, just work on that curry flavor and consistency. It tasted like someone added two tablespoons of curry powder mix to some water and called it good. Oh...and to improve, maybe listen to feedback. When the cook says thats how we do it and thats how weve always cooked it...well that doesnt make it good. My suggestion: pass this one by and get some good old pho at a fraction of the cost without all of the pretentiousness.

A dead place. Not really busy and I know its because its overpriced. I wouldnt go back. I order a small bowl of pho. It was $7. I finished it in a couple minutes because the portion is meant for a toddler. Its really really small. Size of my two petite hands together. For $7 at any other pho restaurant is getting a large bowl or at least decent size bowl. And the taste is not even special.

The food, atmosphere and service here are impossible to beat. Super fresh ingredients, everything prepared to order, and an owner, Suzie, who puts her heart and soul into everything her place does at their Scholarship Drive location (there are 2 others). This is my favorite dining spot in Irvine and I eat here as often as 4-5 times per month. Street parking is tight but theres a garage behind the restaurant with plenty of open stalls at night. Phans 55 offers 2-hour free validated parking.

The best phở I’ve ever had, bar none. This place is simply phenomenal—the steak, the ribeye, the prawn fried rice, even the Thai iced tea. It’s all superb. Even if you typically avoid Vietnamese food, you owe it to yourself to try this place at least once.

My boyfriend and I come here many times to satisfy my spring roll craving. The location is a little hard to find if youre not familiar with the area but its in the same plaza as Fukada To Go and Barrys Boot Camp. Theres some parking in the front and you might also be able to find parking in the structure in the back with validation.Phans 55 is convenient in terms of being able to order online via the Eat 24 app or the Yelp app. Your order is usually ready within 10 minutes and Im a fan of their chicken breast pho and the grilled pork spring rolls. No, its not quite Brodards and the prices are a little higher, but its still good on my list. Bonus points for also offering a mini pho option (dine-in only).Service is excellent and the restaurant decor itself is modern and has a nice interior.

Postmates/uber eats drivers BEWAREThis restaurant steals tips from uber eats drivers (and possibly postmates) restaurant gets orders via phone or eat 24 than places order as if they were a customer (its really the restaurant ordering their own food to be sent to different address).Driver has zero chance to get a tip via uber eats because any tip goes straight to restaurant not to uber eats driver. Say real customer tips you 20$ on their 150$ order.... Restaurant keeps that because they didnt put tip on uber eats!>_< because they didnt order the uber eats. Restaurants dont believe you deserve a tip.Beware this is a scam many restaurants are running now. The food is greasy and overpriced. They have a couple great servers, but their bartender a piece of work. There are some shady characters that go in there, I wouldnt bring children.
