*** Each person has a different taste/experience ***While visiting CA, my uncle took me here to try it out. In my opinion, the only difference between them and others is their ability to have more choices of Phở. A cup of meat scraps and scalded white onion with vinegar was also given to you for free. The taste is not too special or delicious for me. I think the price was acceptable considering the size of the bowl and the taste.

My brother was like yo man do you want to drive to Westminster from the 626 just to get pho and banh mi? I was like okay, sure. Boy howdy, Im glad we did because phoholic delivered in spades. The wait looked intimidating, but we got seated right away. Protip: dont park in the restaurant parking lot on crowded days, park elsewhere that is willing. Food was served lighting fast and pipping hot. The broth is divine, very meaty, full of flavor with a slight bit of sweetness for an overall well-rounded soup. The flat noodles are also a nice surprise. Even the rare beef steak was tender! The ox-tail piece is large, but a little on the tougher side. The beef rib is tender and oh man filled with so much flavor. Even the soup the beef rib or the tendon rib comes in tastes different from the one in your soup bowl. Additionally using scissors to cut off lumps of tendon or beef meat is a fun activity between guzzling down soup and noodles. I never finish the whole bowls broth, but I finished my own soup bowl and the broth the beef ribs came in. Un-pho-gettable.

I, along with my family, arrived at the restaurant around 9 PM time. Most other Vietnamese places were closed, but fortunately, this a) was opened until 10 PM and b) was of great recommendation.Getting there, there was quite a bit of a long list of people waiting! I find it somewhat amusing that we were a group of 11 compared to the others of around 1-4. Wait time was around 30 minutes, but the whole Black Friday might have to do with some of the time (aka, it probably is shorter on a regular day)- We were split in two tables, 6 and 5, respectively, but the waiters allowed us to sit together in the same area after a table opened up next to ours (+)- The menu was simple and easy to read, all phố! (+)- Food was served extremely quickly*! It was around five minutes after ordering, which is insanely fast relative to other places. (+)- The food was quite delicious, the meat brisket and soup being my favorite parts. (+)- Mild negative detail, this applies to almost all phố places, but there was a considerable amount of soup left after I ate up all of the delicious content (meat, noodles, etc). (Slightly edited for clarity, tiny minus)Now the elephant in the room. One of my family members was ordering in Vietnamese for our subgroup table of 6, and along with the others, ordered 2 of the same dish (#12, I believe), and the waiter was off. This is where the * comes in. They got the wrong dishes for both, but because it was so fast, everyone thought that they would pour the soup in later.Turns out they didnt, and the same person who ordered went to ask the waiters about the quite limited amount of soup. They were, expectingly, confused. Then, the conversation between them went through several rounds, and we didnt understand any clearer why. Turns out, it was only after seeing the receipt after almost everyone had finished their bowl that, turns out, the waiter put the wrong food onto our order. My family was frustrated. Despite the waiters apologies and attempts to correct course via quickly getting the correct soup in, it left a considerable bad taste in our mouths (no pun intended). We left with the review that the food was great, but only for those that received the correct order. In fact, one of the two that received the wrong food was the one that *recommended* going here in the first place.Will we go here again? Most likely yes. Has it left a lingering feeling afterwards? OK this is a high pace, quick table turnover place. Youre not coming here for ambiance or customer service, youre coming here for the food. Once you sit down, be ready to order. Check the menu while youre waiting for your seat because they waste no time to put your order in. That being said, the pho broth is on point! We got extra ribs on the side but it really wasnt necessary. If youre a big eater, go for it. Otherwise your typical combo bowl is more than enough. It was a 40 min wait on a Sunday lunch hour. Will be back if were around OC.

This is one of the favorites Pho joints of the locals in Westminster. Generous portions of different cuts of beef and meat balls can be selected for your pho bowl. Beef stock is simply amazing and super tasty. Steamed and chilled mung bean sprouts, sliced chilies, basil leaves, and other herbs are served with your pho. It gets crowded during peak hours so go earlier the better. Parking lot is small so you may have to park on the street.

This was hands down the best pho Ive ever had. I grew up in mostly Asian places and Ive had pho a few times but I never understood what was so special. A meal here made me realize that Ive never had good pho. Theyre also really generous with their portions and very fast with service. I also love the atmosphere of the restaurant. While the seating is indoors, the restaurant reminded me of the bustling hole-in-the-wall restaurants Id eat at in Asia. 10/10

This was our first stop as soon as we arrived at California since we had heard so much about this place, and they did not disappoint!This is the first time after 5 years that I was able to taste that flavor of a good bowl of phở again. The broth tasted exactly like phở that we had in Vietnam: fragrant, balanced yet rich in flavor. As expected, they served phở with lots of fresh herb, bean sprouts (they can steam them as requested), and iced tea. Nothing better than a good bowl of phở with iced tea. That’s the experience!They give you a lot of toppings and their portion size is filling. You HAVE TO go with the fresh flat noodles, exactly like how phở is served in Vietnam.Now on to the thing you must notice: parking is limited. With how busy they are, you should expect to maybe park on street. Wait time is subjected to change due to the same reason (ours was 10 minutes). But, with how good they are, it was well worth it for us.

First time trying Pho and it’s going to be very hard to top this place! First experience was a great one, the place isn’t big so parking is tight and there is wait to be seated but it moves pretty quick. They only serve Pho which they perfectly do with a rich broth and an assortment of meats for your Pho, the menu is pretty easy to follow and the food comes out fairly quick, will be back.

This place is very well known and was crazy busy during lunch hours. We waited for about 30 minutes outside and had to reserve a spot. Parking is very limited so we had to park at a school nearby. The seating arrangements inside was pretty cramped, but I didn’t mind it that much.The pho was delicious and fairly cheap compared to the size portion. The pho noodles were cooked perfectly, the broth was flavorful and the meat was tender. They actually gave a lot of meat, which was so surprising in a good way. There was only one size portion I believe but it was pretty big. The only bad part about the pho was that the broth was very fatty and oily for some reason. It was not bad at the beginning but near the end, it left an uncomfortable greasy feeling. This is a place I would definitely come back to eat at.

Our family came to California for a vacation. We heard about this place, so we really wanted to try it . We are glad we did . The pho was fantastic, broth was delicious. They were not frugal on meat as well. I was quite full after . $14.99 was for dac biet wasnt called that though, pretty much the same ingredients as in Calgary where we are from. There are extras you can add as well, I did rare beef on the side and a couple ribs that I shared with the wife. Even my Son liked this place, he is quite a Pho connoisseur. He gave it a 9.5/10. There is basically no parking though, I would suggest to get someone to get out and put your name on the list if there is a long line up. While you go get parking somewhere. We got parking next door to vegetarian restaurant beside, my Mother asked permission and the very nice owner let us park. We are thinking people have had their car towed before, because there were no cars there .My mother out of gratitude bought little cakes from them . They were pretty good actually.

Hole-in-wall place as some may say about this place? Idk, but the pho lived up to all the hype. Broth is slightly towards the sweeter side but adding 1-2 slices of lemon did the trick for me (OC Viet eateries tend to be on the sweeter side?). Broth was clear and definitely had the pho depth. Meat slices, at first, appeared to be chewey but it was actually tender. Dont be fooled by the one-sized bowl. I thought it was just big w/lots of soup (like some other places with large size bowls). However, it was very filling and had lots of meat and beef tripe...(at least compared with the Bay Area pho bowls). Veggies and hanh beo were generous portions as well without the extra $1.00 charge as some other locations may charge. Overall, Im putting this at 5* among all the pho places weve tried...probably better than our home cooked pho. Lol.However, parking was super horrible.

I do like the hole in the wall ambiance as it makes me feel as if I am in some 3rd world country. Every table was full of large Viet families. Pho w/big bone is legit (doggy bag treat for my 🐕). Prepare to wait in line even as a solo diner. Parking = impossible. Drove out of my way to eat here and will do so again.

It was really good. You can smell its flavor at the moment you walk in the doors. You are greeted with a small bowl of stewed beef scraps which come from making broth with beef bones, real deal. It is delicious. The pho spots on with its famous flavor and taste, lots of meat. Right amount of bean sprouts, thái basils and culantro. The parking could be a challenge but you can park elsewhere and walk over. The wait can also be a challenge depending on what time of the day. All and all, we left with a full satisfaction. I am very picky about Pho but definitely this place offers the best Pho in town.

I have eaten Pho at countless restaurants throughout the states and this place tops them all. This Restaurant only serves Pho and its the first restaurant I always go to when I’m in SoCal. The Pho here is world-class and anyone who is a Pho enthusiast or Pho lover would understand. I couldnt stop sipping its addicting liquid gold. Parking is limited and difficult to get in and out. Asked for limes multiple times and never ended up with any. Food comes quickly, each staff member has their own job. High top turnover, not a place to go if you want good service. Theres a sign to ask for vegetables, but no one follows through. Same broth for all Pho, it seems. The broth was delicious overall but some of the proteins were not as good as others. My friend kept raving about this place, he is vietnamese and has traveled all over the country and gets pho where ever he goes. He says he could never find a place better than this, so my expectations were pretty high. I am no pho expert, but even I could tell the broth here was really flavorful, didnt even need to add any seasoning to it. They are also generous with the meat portions in it and gave us extra meat in small bowls for free. The onloly downside to me is they only have one size and none of us could finish a whole bowl solo. Maybe next time will split a bowl between two people. They also only serve pho, so if you have any picky eaters or someone that doesnt want pho, they have no options, but I think this is a good thing because that is their main focus and specialty. There is always a wait according to my friend, whether you go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, however even with 6 or 7 groups in front of us, we only had to wait like 20 minutes. I have to agree with my friend that this is one of the best places to get pho in the country.

I’ve tasted many pho before but this one really stands out. The broth is soft and rich full of flavour, and the meat is super soft comes with the noodle that’s thin and delicious. Uncle that recommended me to try the bone soup. The bone we ordered later on, so I recommend ordering both and enjoy with a large group of friend.

I am amazed the amount of food that I got for the low price. At Phoholic, there are various arrangements of meat toppings for the soup, but regardless of which option you choose, it is all the same cost.The parking situation is pretty miserable when this area is crowded, as I had to circle around multiple lots not only trying to find spots, but to try and figure out if I was allowed to park somewhere. Once I finally did park, I was able to put my name in and waited about 10-15 minutes to get seated. The turnover is pretty fast, but it is likely to see a crowd hanging around outside.The menu is simple. Pick the type of ingredients you want in your pho, and perhaps some other sides or drinks. Thats it.I went with a #11 which had a good variety of ingredients, and also added meatballs by recommendation. When I got seated, along with the basil, beansprouts, and other regular toppings, they provided a small bowl of meat to each table. I have no idea why, or if this was something they do normally, or they just had extra to give out. Either way, that was another portion of food on top of what I was already getting.The selection of meats is delicious. Each of the toppings went well, and nothing stood out as out of place or lower quality. The broth was tasty, especially after mixing in all of the herbs, peppers, and sauces. This meal is without a doubt, very filling.The overall meal is excellent, especially for the price, and I think the quality is on par with pho 79, and both offer absurd portion sizes for the price.

I’ve been to Phoholic 2 and the original did not disappoint. If you’re a fan of pho, then this is the place. Highly recommended by foodies on YouTube and seeing the crowds of people waiting to get in, it’s not hard to see why this place is popular. I recommend all dishes. One of the best Pho experiences Ive ever had. I came here with some cousins and this place was packed on a random weekday afternoon. Its definitely a hole in the wall, but the +1000 reviews definitely built up some hype. If you cant find parking in the main lot just park on the far right side behind the other businesses. My cousin and I shared the 12 and 15 with a side of back ribs. Wow the meats here were so good. Fresh from the pot and fall off the bone meat. You also get this small complimentary cup of beef. Definitely ask for some onions with vinegar. The broth is really rich with very little MSG. I like how you can order eggs, specialty meats and change the size of your noodles. For the price that we paid PhoHolic is a steal. You get premium meat with a delicious bone broth and fresh noodles. Even the OG Nuoc Mam bottle is at each table. They have partitions between your party and the food comes out really quickly. Ive been told that the line here sometimes wraps around the restaurant so try to come here as early as possible. This is a must try when visiting Westminster. Ill definitely be back to try their other cuts of meat.

This pho place gives that and much more, with plenty of different choices of meats and toppings and a couple different choices of noodles too. The line could be really long but people know that they need to eat and get out to be mindful of those in line. Thats part of the culture.Broth is great. You can even request more fatty broth with the green onion chunks.The pickled onions are just right, the signage on the walls are helpful and inclusive of everyone, the large noodles have a great texture and taste very fresh, and they are fairly generous with the meat portions and its very tender slightly raw when it comes out which I love because its not overcooked and too dry.Staff has to juggle a lot and fulfills requests fairly quickly even if they need to be reminded. Its a really busy place so I get it.The quality+consistency you get for the price is hard to beat.

Best pho in the OC! Simple menu with only pho and one size bowl being served. Broth is packed with lots of flavor, youre looking at generous portion with lots of meats and vegetables/herbs. Bowls were served within a few minutes after order was placed. Place is always packed, there is a sign in sheet at the entrance but overall fast turnover time on tables. There is limited parking space in the area, just note that you will have to find street parking. Definitely worth a visit, price is cheap for good pho and decent sized portion.

Hands down the best pho in the USA! They are so efficient and there is always a line but 6 parties ahead of me and I only waited 15 mins. They use filet mignon for their pho tai and their beef cuts is the best yet. I know my pho and nothing comes close, not pho 79 or any place in Westminster. I get the number 11 with the fresh soft noodles. A bowl of pho is $12 but it’s totally worth it! If a place does not let you pick dry or fresh pho noodles, it needs to step up.

Met a very nice couple (in Disneyland) who recommended this place. They served up one of the best bowl of noodles I’ve ever eaten! There was a bit of a wait pre-lunch time, but it was worth if. I don’t remember the exact name of the dish, but it had some extra beef it, and I got the large. The soup was delicious, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and there were a ton of condiments to add in to make it just the way you wanted. Pho came with a large plate of many kinds of greens; I broke off the leaves and added them in as I ate. Just wonderful. Meta notes: there’s valet parking on the side—free with your meal there (don’t forget to tip!), and note you may be the only non-Vietnamese in the shop. It gets very crowded, but the food is worth whatever time and trouble you may have to put in. 😎👍🏼

This is a new review, i reviewed them a while back. The soup is good. They only offer pho with different meats and side order meat. The drinks are now included in the menu. Their menu is short so not really confusing. Its a long wait but worth the taste of pho, soup is very tasty. I waited for about 25 minutes. The food came fast tho. One of the best tasting pho I ever had. The servers ate more welcoming now! Parking is terrible, very small. Had a nice sweetness to it that wasnt overwhelming. I had the steak with oxtail. Serving size was just enough and the price was good. I am from the East Coast and only visiting Santa Ana once or twice a year. My 1st meal when I landed is eating at PhoHolic and my last meal before I go back East is PhoHolic. I ate here about 10x now and not once disappointed. Their pho are very authentic as their broth are cooked with real beef bones. All their meats are fresh as well of their veggies. Their side dish “Xi Quach” are phenomenal. If you are a Pho lovers, please give this place a try. Parking can be tough. However you can park on the side street next to the restaurant. Its my top pho spot in LA/OC. A friend introduced me and since then, I havent been able to find another place that has better pho.My go-to order is always #5, the pho with meatballs and thin noodles. I personally like the thin noodles better and most people get this option as well. The broth is absolutely amazing and Ive never tasted better broth than here. This is really the reason its my favorite pho restaurant as the broth is what makes the pho. I usually put hoisin and sriracha in my broth to help with taste at other establishments but Ive never had to use it here! To top it off, prices are super reasonable at around $12/13 for a hearty bowl. They also have plenty of add-ons and sides that you can choose from.This place is almost always packed with a long waitlist. But food arrives fast once you sit and order. Theres also the option of takeout, which Ive done a few times too. People have mentioned pest issues but I havent experienced them myself yet. If you want a cleaner experience, check out their South Coast Plaza store. Ive been there but I still find this original location to be the best.

I like that they only specialize in pho and doesn’t matter what you get, it’s one price for all. You can pay more to add on items.When you look at the dining room furniture, I chuckled because it was IKEA furniture tables and heavy duty restaurant chairs. Every table was filled and people sharing with strangers so that no space gets wasted. There’s hanging plastic clear shield used for covid that separates the different parties.We had 4 adults and one baby with a high chair. The second we sat down, two full plates of veggies, one full plate of steamed bean sprouts, one plate of sliced onions, one full plate of limes, and two small bowls of extra meat! All complimentary! Very generous.I order my go-to, Pho Tai (rare steak). The best I’ve had! So tender not chewy. You don’t even have to get filet mignon and this is comparable. So much meat. The broth is fatty and tasty. Our family raves about the noodles. Something about the noodles that seemed different from others. It was neither under or over cooked. It was just perfect.I never take home left over pho but the portion was too much. If you take home, be sure to separate your broth and noodles in different containers. This pho spot impressed me. I like the way they served their pho, it was in a metal bowl. The idea of this serving hot steaming pho in a metal bowl keeps the temperature at a fixed heat level. Wednesday 8/7/23. Dinner at Phoholic in Garden Grove. This restaurant was on YouTube and is very popular so I decided to try it out. The pho is very good here with premium meats upgrade. The prices are moderate to high for a bowl of pho ($13-$18).The service staff is attentive and fast working.The restaurant decors is lacking and management should consider remodeling.The restaurant’s menu has very few items for selection which makes the service to be quick however it limits the owner’s profit from customers. Attention restaurant’s owner: add more selection to side dishes, appetizers, and deserts to increase business and have your local and remote customers to come back more often to try other dishes. So little parking spots for how popular this place is. Took them almost 5 mins till they came to write my name on the waiting list then 15 more minutes to get seated and that’s like after 8pm. Tables are packed together in small space so it’s very loud and not relaxing atmosphere. Pho and beverage are priced reasonably and they serve in a big bowl with plenty of meat/veggies on top. If you want to go and don’t want to wait long I recommend you to go during the week at lunch. On the weekends the place gets super crazy and the waiting is super long. So if you’re not ready to wait for 1 1/2 hour at least, don’t even bother going. The parking lot can get a little difficult because there is a lot of people (cars) so try to find one on the streets if you can’t find a spot in the parking lot. I recommend to try Pho number 14 or 15 with the additional beef bone or beef. The additions are very affordable and they are worth it. You won’t regret visiting this place it’s a must go for Pho. Best pho Ive tried in the bolsa/vietnamese area. Id give it a 5 star if it were just about the pho. My gripe about this place is their parking, its extremely limited. We had to park across the street but other than that, the food was well worth it. The side order of beef ribs was amazing as well but their ox tail was just okay, it wasnt that tender. Service was fast. Id definitely come back when my pho craving hits again.

Phởholic is said to be one of the best newer phở places in Little Saigon, and, finally having it, after friends, family, and the town boasting, I think I can say that I can definitely agree. The only thing I dont agree on is the parking and the expensive prices. $9 for a large bowl is a little much in my opinion, as well, extra charge for any other soup topping, but hey, I guess if the food is good and they make good money, who am I to judge?That being said, the service is quick and the food comes out minutes upon ordering, piping hot, as a good bowl of phở should. The soup tastes amazing and the beef shank and oxtail are absolutely tender.The place itself, other than the horrendous parking, is quite quaint, and they follow most Covid-19 regulations. If the food service is good here, Im excited to try out their second location in Stanton.

Always busy here. Long wait. They gotta figure out the parking situation here, its disgusting. I know they have another shop in Stanton, go there instead. It took awhile for me to get served, there was a lot of empty tables but not a lot of people manning them. It took me over 30 minutes to get seated. People were friendly. Pho is reasonably priced.

I came here tonight with my family to satisfy our pho craving! Everyone else got their usual. I changed it up this time & got the Beef Shank & Ox Tail Pho. Im happy I did! The Beef Shank was tasty & tender all the way through and the Ox Tail was the perfect size. Dipping it in a combo Hoison Sauce & Chili Sauce was mmmmm good! I like adding the greens, the slivered onions and the Bean Sprouts to my Pho. It gives it a little depth. The broth itself was delicious just like all the other times. This location does not disappoint. It does get busy & the parking area is rather small so come earlier if you can.

Pretty popular place to eat. Make sure you write your name down on the wait list! The condiment bottles and napkin dispenser on the table were dirty, so I suggest wiping what youll be using with napkins. The food was delicious. Our table ordered the meat on the bones and its really worth the money. I ordered a steak & brisket pho and the broth has a very clean taste.

We drove from Pasadena and were so excited to visit this place on recommendation from a friend whose opinions about food we value. No disappointment at all! Our Pho was flavorful (rich, aromatic broth), with wonderful noodles and fresh ingredients. Then we also ordered the tendon bone. What a memorable treat for the palate! Its a MUST. Wow this is the best bowl of Pho that we have ever had from natural bone marrow broth without any MSG or any other harmful added food flavorings, and we are a true, hard core pho-holic family who can eat pho every day! The only bad part is the super long wait line of 30-45 minutes depending on the weekend and time, and the restaurant is very packed with so many people waiting in line all over the front door inside and outside.

For those serious PhoHeads! this is a legit Pho joint. We went on a Friday night around 7:00. The place is jammed and you would have to write your name on the wait list. The smell of the Pho is intoxicating! Once sit, better ready to order... Portion is decent, loads of meats and make sure you order the side - those HUGE ribs.... 2 for $ 6 - a bargain! The two issues - broth was not too hot... and the noodles were a bit overcooked. BTW - when they ask you for large or small - it is not about the size of the bowl - it is about the width of the noodles!

Probably the best Pho in Little Saigon/SoCal. Space is small, so get there early, make a reservation if you can, or go to their 2nd location. The broth is so flavorful, rich, and piping hot! Order the side of the oxtail and the bone with meat. My only problem is since this place has so little parking, there can be at times road rage from really cranky Asians flicking each other off, so be aware of that. The best practice, avoid parking here when busy and park somewhere else.
