Love this place! Perfect fries 😋 Fried zucchini is the best anywhere. Philly cheesesteak sandwich is always delicious. Had a small honeydew boba this time 👍👍 Kids love the quarter machines!! Have been here many times over the years. Never disappointed 👏👏😊

I couldnt resist the smell of good food when I was washing clothes next door at the Laundromat. I ordered the Philly Steak Sandwich with everything and was not disappointed.There are tables inside to eat and there were no tip recommendations when paying for food, so I tipped bcz of nice service. No pressure and a cool atmosphere with super nice workers.

New to the High Desert and stoked to try new places. This place was pretty good. Friendly service!Got the cheesesteak. The large was plenty, I couldnt finish the whole 12 inches!Quaint old-school feeling, but if you eat there you will smell like sandwich for the rest of the day.Give it a try.

Steak sub was tasty! Grilled Mushrooms and onions are options. Food cooked in front of you. Small dining area. My friend said the bulgogi was lacking meat, but it tasted good but nothing special. Hot and greasy fried options! Will go back for seconds

Yo my best friend took me here. It was amazing my taste buds died and went to heaven. The philly steak and cheese and their macaroni salad and zucchini fries lord take my soul. It was the best the bread went perfect with everything. They have boba the service was amazing and I mean they do have the best philly. First time and def going to go back my mouth is watering thinking of this place. They even have bulgogi. Ugh im hungry now defiently you gotta try this place you wont be disappointed.

The food here is alright, it’s good but not like something i’d go out of my way for. Honestly i’ve mostly ended up eating here while waiting for my car at the nearby american tires to be done. The star dish they have to me is the Bulgogi Beef bowls, an unexpected find at a sub place but very good and a welcome menu item for someone like me who primarily eats korean and japanese food.Prices aren’t too expensive, space is clean although a bit bland in appearance, feels like it hasn’t had the money or chance to update since the early 2000s, feels similar to a Toms.Staff are lovely, very helpful and quick, no complaints there.Overall nice local place

Just strolled in while getting my car serviced. First glance just looks like an aged place and not quite impressive; however, the friendly people that worked there made me a highly impressive Philly cheese steak. The 8” sandwich, a whole basket of fries, and a drink were only 13 bucks after tax. Super inexpensive for the quality and service. I’m not even from this area but I already know I’ll be back. So good!!

I ate a steak sandwich and about 2 hours later, my stomach was cramping. I think they would be wise to invest in better meats and perhaps take a trip to Philly to see what an authentic cheese steak sandwich looks and taste like. I wont be back.

This place is awesome. Great Philly subs and awesome natural cut fries. If you haven’t tried this place before, I recommend getting their Philly steak sub with everything on it combo. Portions are solid. I would recommend getting a few salt packets with your order though. It’s not heavily seasoned, but delicious and fresh. Now we are happy to go do laundry next door and have lunch here. 👍

This place is bomb. Friendly tri lingual establishment. I always get the filly steak, but last week I got the Philly chicken, no bell peppers, and liked it better I think. The zucchini and onion rings are top notch. IBeen eating here for 7 years, since I run the laundromat next door, and the doesn’t disappoint! Also, they make a tasty cheeseburger with French fries.I highly recommend this business

I thought I would check this place out as I love a good cheesesteak. There was only a single station to order at and it can be a little slow if there are several customers ahead of you. Their cheesesteaks come with mayo, so I deleted that as it is not on a true cheesesteak. It also comes with onions, bell peppers and mushrooms - delete whatever you do not want - and a choice of Swiss or provolone cheese. I would prefer white American cheese for the tang and gooieness. I got Swiss. When the sandwich came, there was a good amount of well seasoned meat, but not much cheese. It was good, but not a great example of a cheesesteak.They had a varied menu, with subs and burgers, as well as homemade fried zucchini, onion rings and mushrooms. I may be back to try those.

If you get what your looking for ... Then you will definitely get some great food here!My husband got the Philly Stake & I got the Chicken Breast sandwich; both were excellent. The chicken breast is a thin patty but you can tell its real chicken breast. The Philly Stake was super flavorful & definitely worth every penny! Menu says pastrami sandwich has pastrami, cheese, pickles, and mustard. I purchased 1 today, after calling and verifying, got home and its meat and cheese only. Paid more than $12.00 for it. I called again and there is no one answering phone. Dont be fooled by previous good ratings.Good luck if you order here.

When I was 18 years old the Navy sent me to a specialty school right after bootcamp in Great Lakes Illinois. A friend of mine was going home to see his girl one weekend and asked me to go with to meet his girls best friend. We had a huge meal that night at his folks place. We were getting ready to split to p/u the girls. As went downstairs and walked thru the living room his Dad just out of the blue belted out Cheese Steak and my friend and I were sent to retrieve a cheese steak sandwich for all in the home. I was still packed full grom the dinner and really couldnt imagine eating anything else that early. Wr walked around the corner of his house to a street vendor whose only main item was the soon to be discovered delicacy I had never known before this. The smell in the air alone had me forget about dinner. Nefer before had I had any sandwich or even a main course taste so fantastic.After finishing the courses I was sent to take and being transfered away from what became mu weekend staple, I was never able to find a Cheesesteak ever again, for years I craved that taste no one could reproduce. That is until the early 90s a contractor named Bruno Marcinelli built a strip mall on Main St around 8th Ave.One of the original tenants in the strip mall was Philly Steak & Subs. I remember seeing the sign and thinking it was to be yet another disappointing let down to my sense of smell and taste. So much so I hesitated for over a month even trying the place. One day I overheard a co-worker raving about the place at lunchtime in a rather convincing manner about the place. It was his day to fly and pick up the phone order. I declined the offer opting out of stubbornness for something I would call in and pick up from the Chinese place next to Chief Auto. Upon my return to A&A Carpet with my meal, my sense of smell immediately produced a nasal quiver not as intense since Chicago. I couldnt even touch the Chinese food. Immediately I ran to Philly Steak and Subs for what ended up being the end of my search for the taste of that first Cheese steak in Chicago.I have enjoyed Philly Cheese Steak And Subs for 20 some years now. The owners and staff are very friendly and your order is always made hot and fresh. They have a great assortment of other delicious entrees and sides to choose from. All freshly made to order and all offered for a very reasonable price. Philly Steak and Subs makes THE BEST Cheese Steak, not just in the High Desert but anywhere in Southern California. Be warned however when eating there, Your taste buds are gonna quiver and shake and around the third or fourth bite into this wonderful delicacy, Your taste buds will take You to a MouthGasm so intense you will return over abd over again. Best Place For A hot Sandwhich in the desert. Only drag about the place is they are closed Sundays.

First time trying this place out, and I was super impressed. I questioned how fresh the food was and actually saw the owner carrying in bags of freshly bought produce while I was eating. The sub I got (pastrami) was good and well cooked with tons of flavor. One of the best pastramis Ive had in a long time. Needed more pickles, but thats my own personal taste. My only issue was my onion rings. They were overcooked to the point where the breading kept falling off at the slightest touch. There was no salt on them either and they were very bland.Overall highly recommend!! Great place to eat while doing laundry 🤓

I was born and raised in Philadelphia. This sandwich used to be good not great considering you cant get an authentic sandwich unless you travel to orange county. I just had a sandwich last night and I didnt really like it. I dont know if they need to clean the grill but the meat was dry, leathery and tasted kind of burnt. The meat had some kind of flavor that wasnt very appealing. It almost taste like a combination of things that were caramelized too long and it just didnt taste good at all. They had a new cook on the grill and she seemed to chop that meat into oblivion. On a more positive note the onion rings were outstanding as usual. I probably wont be coming back anytime soon. Only people that are not familiar with how this sandwich is supposed to taste would continue to eat here. I hope you make some changes. You have lost the business of my friends and family.

This was my 1st time here & I ordered the Philly Steak Sub w/ jalapenos & fries. The bread was good & toasted nicely, I really enjoyed that. The meat was hot & not bad, they could have added more jalapenos & seasoning. The fries were okay, I personally would have preferred mine to have been cooked longer. The older lady serving the food was nice and smiling the cashier could have been in a better mood.

I went during the week at lunch time and it was a little busy but that is to be expected. I had the Philly cheese steak with out mushrooms and it was pretty good and their french fries are good too. It took awhile to get my food after ordering and it seemed like a couple people that ordered after me were getting their food first but it wasnt a big deal. It is a little pricey but it seems like everywhere is now-a-days. They also have a very large selection of bagged chips, like Doritos and Fritos, not like most places that have 3 different varieties, they had like 20 probably. Next time I will probably try the pastrami sandwich and fried zucchini.

Im a bit torn on this review between giving 4 or 5 stars. There are many restaurants which specialize in one specific food so everything else is really just okay. I think that applies here... If you order a Philly Sub they are amazing! Absolutely delicious. The french fries, onion rings, and fried zucchini are a must for every visit. BUT if you order a burger or 60% of any other sub sandwich.. eh. The burgers are very very thin patties and something about the flavor just isnt right. Both times Ive tried a burger I ended up eating part of the toppings and tossing the rest. Ive had two cold subs that I loved, two warm that I loved, and while I enjoyed the bacon on my BLT it was overly heavy on the L and light on everything else. We will continue to come back here and enjoy the food but we are definitely staying away from the burgers

The wife and I have had a few cold sandwiches here recently. The spicy italian and a club sandwich. Not bad quality at all. Also had a chance to try there onion rings. Delicious.We will definitely be back to try a few other things in the near future. I did notice a few veggy options for you veggiesIts not avery attractive place. I came to the Victorvally Shopping Mall with my wife. This is the shopping mall in my neighborhood where my wife wanted to shop for the sale items in the Labor Holiday. I asked for a special vegetarian philly cheese steak; no meat extra mushrooms! It was awful. It was basically an onion sub. The order taker was new, charged me for the extra mushrooms even though I didnt want the steak. I ordered onion rings, which they charged me for and then wanted me to choose fries or zucchini because they didnt have any onion rings ready. To say the least, I very disappointed today! 😞 Typically, I Love this place!

Me and my girlfriend came here in early 2013 on the advice of a guest at Target where we worked at the time. Since then it has been one of our go to places whenever we are in the mood for a nice hot generously proportioned meal. Staff here is always friendly and the food is consistent. The philly cheese steak sandwiches here have always been good but when I tried the other things on the menu, I wasnt too pleased with the rest of it. Got the chili cheese fries, the potatoes were good but thats it, the chili was bland and they just put American cheese slices and microwaved it then served it to me which kind of killed my experience there.

The Philly steak I had was good and I WOULD HAVE came back if the owner did not lose her temper and consistently raise her voice at me after I asked the cashier, can they please re-make the zucchini (that was hard, dark & overcooked). Even after a sat down she was still talking extremely loud about me not liking the way the zucchini was(her husband got tired of hearing her rant and went back to watching the game, so she just started talking to herself). I was embarrassed, and will NEVER EVER go back.

I recently tried this as I was near by from the theater and the laundromat. The prices were good in the sandwiches very big and filling for a pastrami sandwich. I feel however there were two issues that really prevented this from being rated higher and why Im giving it a 3-star.Firstly they charge extra for sides now usually a place is like this hey you could charge extra for cheese or extra me I fully expect that and understand but they will charge $0.50 extra for what amounted to a few extra pickles! The worst part was they did not even bother to tell me and when I found out that I was charged extra they pointed to a sign not even talking to me or replying that was behind another sign of theirs.The other issue I had was as this was a pastrami and cheese sandwich I asked after I ordered what kind of cheese would it be as I was either provolone or swiss and they just put in provolone without asking. I tried to get this change to Swiss as I preferred Swiss over the approval on and the sandwiches already done by the time the lady bothered to respond to me.So simply due to customer service that I felt was very poor and the fact that they completely ignored my issues that I had with getting charged extra for what amounted to a few pickles (which to me is not worth any up charge of any other sandwich place did that its ridiculous that they do so), I sadly will have to never come back to that place and its a shame as it looks good and some of the other items look rather tasty.

Was out in Hesperia for work and was looking for some good grub. Maps brought this place up and it had 4.5 stars. Other reviews said Philly Cheesesteak was the way to go, so I thought Id check it out.At first glance this place sure didnt seem like much, but WOW! 4th person in line when I got there, all the booths were full. I found the prices very fair.They bring the food out to you, which I actually enjoyed. No number 32! shouting is a plus for me. Onion rings were delicious. Obviously done in hoyse. Came with ranch (again a nice plus) still so hot that I had to wait a couple minutes for them to cool down and thats just the way I like them. They were so good I didnt wanna wait and burned my toungue!Philly came out big and hearty. Nice soft roll, melted cheese, onions, peppers, filled with enough meat it was spilling out. Love at first bite. Holey smokes I thought immediately, Im gonna have to come back someday. Only finished half a sandwich still had onion rings left over.I love little independant places lile this when they knock their food out of the park. Atmosphere was a strip mall burger joint, but who cares? Burgers looked great, chili cheese fries looked great, subs looked great, this place has it all, and all the emplyees were very nice. I got a smile and hello when I walked in, and thank yous from the staff while I was walking out.I would 100% recommend this place and I will be returning. Id like to try other menu items but why deviate to other stuff when you can get one of the best Philly Cheesesteaks around?Well done Philly Steaks & Subs!
