Absolutely fantastic experience at Pho 2000! I recently visited their San Francisco location and had the Veggie Pho along with their delicious Thai tea. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive.The Veggie Pho was beyond my expectations; the broth was rich and flavorful, and the fresh vegetables added a delightful crunch to every bite. Arguably the best quality-price ratio Vietnamese food in the Bay Area. The food tastes amazing while the price is quite cheap. I got bun with grilled pork and fried egg rolls. I feel like the grilled pork itself is already worth the money. Freshly grilled pork, you can tell from the heat and the aroma of the burning fat. On top of that, the fried egg rolls are crispy and flavored well. I love how they top the noodle dish with fresh herbs and vegetables. And I havent even tried pho yet! Definitely I will be back.

Delicious, fresh, authentic. No frills seating in the dining area, this is a very casual type restaurant so you can expect to see the cooks walking through the dining area with pots and pans they may be taking to the back. Or a server sitting at a table separating the basil. The food is absolutely amazing. We had the imperial rolls and the small #6 rice noodle soup with rare steak. The portions are generous. I couldn’t finish the small and my husband still had a little left as well. The area is not the best but we will definitely be back for more.

The pho there was top-notch. We tried pho at many different places and the pho in SF is pretty authentic with real beef broth and high-quality rice noodles. The condiment portion size is very generous with a big pile of basil leaf and bean sprout. Most customers are Vietnamese or Cantonese. Its just quite a trail to get there by foot.

Fav pho place I’ve found in the city thus far. Service was great, friendly and super duper fast. I got #1- the combo pho with different types of meat in it. The portions were huuuuuuuge and all the different meats were so delicious. Very flavorful and rich. Definitely come here! Can’t wait to be back.

One of the best Vietnamese food I’ve had in a while. I got the Pho Dac Biet (special combination rice noodle soup) and the Com Cha Gio Thit Nuong (barbeque pork with egg roll over rice). I also got the thai iced tea as well. Service was also great. Note to future self: uber to the restaurant > walk to the restaurant.

Great pho shop with fresh ingredients. Ordered the pho dac biet in large and received a giant bowl with tender beef and hot broth. Added a side of imperial rolls, usually comes with lettuce and vermicelli, but requested not to add those. Would recommend to friends.

This place is first rate in terms of both quality and quantity. Authentic flavor, tasty broth, a large quantity of meat, makes it one of the best places for Pho in the country. If you come to SF for meeting, pls consider walking 20 min from the convention center. It is all worth it.

Don’t let the shop front or neighbourhood put you off. This had to be one of the best Pho so far. I was recommended to go here from a Vietnamese person I met. The broth was so flavourful and the garnishes so fresh. Such good value. The small is more than enough for one person.

Usually, I make a trip out to San Jose for your pho, because pho is often disappointing outside of San Jose, but this is by far one of my top pho places in the Bay now. If you’re in The City or just got out of the Asian Art Museum, this joint will fulfill your pho cravings. I got the #11 pho and the broth was seasoned perfectly with a great balance of slightly sweet, clear, pho broth that had depth to it. The meat and tendon was perfect, the service was straightforward, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable, $11 for a regular size! I usually don’t finish all the broth but this place made me want to not waste any of the soup.If you’re in San Francisco and you need pho, check this place out! Be mindful that you will be in the Tenderloin area, so keep your head on a swivel and make sure you check where you’re going before you head there. Be safe and enjoy your next pho outing!

Outstanding. A quick deciding factor if I think a pho is good, is whether I want to put hoisin sauce in it. I didnt think their pho broth here required it! Tasty chili oil as well. Currently a little uninviting from the street view, but dont let that stop you from supporting this business. Clean. Genuine. The staff was prompt and polite.

Great pho (some of the best in town), cheap. #12 is great - brisket and rare beef. The chicken Pho (#13) is actually better than the place next door that specializes in chicken pho. Always with abundant fresh sided (basil, lime etc). Also recommended: imperial roll, Vietnamese iced coffee.

Perfect southern Vietnamese style Pho! If you’re hankering for a Vietnamese style noodle soup this is the perfect spot for you. A delicious beef bone broth consume accompanies the noodles of your choosing. I’d stick with the classic vermicelli (glass or silver). Nice giant size portions too, served along with all its traditional accoutrements. The ingredients are fresh and not of bad quality either. They have excellent rolls, fresh with shrimp or fried with pork either or I love them all. Good underrated grilled meats as well, especially the pork chop. No frills fast service and a bowl of steaming burn the back of your throat goodness. Bouncy chewy noodles, fresh veggies and unctuous beef and my personal favorite, gelatinous tendon.Service is fast, kind and the place is rather tight but you get in and eat amazingly good food and get out. This place is the king pho places now that TT is closed next door albeit different region and specialty with chicken. The pho here is hella good! Broth has flavor without being overpowering, not too sweet, you can taste the spices too. Good serving and amount of meat especially for the prices here in the city.I think this may be one of the places that puts sf on the map for viet food. the cafe sua is also strong and brewed well. Have you ever wished you order something else at a restaurant? I mistakenly tried their chicken garlic noodles $12.19. It was basically chow mein with garlic and chicken. It is similar to what you get at a Chinese take-out chow mein by the pound places. It is missing that buttery taste from Thanh Long or PPQ, where they use ingredients like maggi seasoning and parmesan cheese to make this dish pop. For the BBQ pork rolls $9.15, I was hoping it came with a side of lettuce and noodles. It didnt. Service is as expected for a mom and pop restaurant.

The fresh rolls (#B is fresh. #A is fried)were fantastic even without the peanut sauce (although I do love me some peanut sauce).I ordered a small #12 with extra meat and it was the perfect size. Deserve 5+, Id say this place is by far the most generous Viet cafe I’ve ever had in the US. If you want a big bowl of pho, make sure you leave enough room in my tummy before you come visit. Easily the best Pho in SF. There are a few reviews that say the flavor lacks depth while ordering the most least flavorful dishes possible in vegetarian noodle soup and Pho Ga. Their broth has the best flavor profile of any shop in the city bar none, it is slightly sweet, aromatic, and spicy (just add sate - the chili oil/flakes - to the dish). I suppose if you like bland chicken noodle soup this wont be for you.

Best Pho in The City, no competition. This is South Vietnamese-style Pho at its finest. Everything here is delicious. From the Imperial Rolls, to the Pho Tai (Beef Pho), to the Bun Cha (Rice noodle bowls), all are fresh and come with quality ingredients. They told me the Pho broth is stewed overnight and you can tell the depth of flavor in the broth.The place can get busy at lunch and they are closed on Tuesdays. Parking sucks but that goes for everywhere in the city.Dont believe anyone that says they know a Pho restaurant better than this one. Ive been going here for over 10 years and Ive seen regulars that have been going here for much longer so that should tell you that this place is legit.

One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the area really. My minor complaints are that there is a lack of different bbq pork / chicken dishes, the cash only rule is a bit outdated, and the early closing time isnt very good. The food always tastes good though and it comes pretty quick. I do like their rewards card stamp program where you get free entree / pho after 8 visits / stamps.

The small here is everyones medium and the noodle to meat ratio is very good. The chili oil is above average also. When we arrived it was very slow, by the time we left people were standing waiting. It can be a bit sketch getting here, avoid Eddy st. Will be back for sure! Amazing little spot.

Moved to DT area about a year ago but am still trying to find a solid pho spot in the area. My go to is usually Kevin’s Noodle House on Irving or the one in Daly City but Kevin’s doesn’t deliver so I really need a spot close by. For some reason the TL viet spots around here use the realllly thin noodle or flat noodle and make the broth super sweet. I don’t really like it that way and so far I haven’t had a good experience with the other places I’ve tried BUT this place was decent. I get Pho Ga so it’s important the chicken isn’t super dry, so I say this place was good bc they used thigh instead. The broth was less sweeter too so that was another plus.

I’ve had some of the best pho like Pho Bac in Seattle and especially next door, Turtle TowerThis place tops it off. No frill no thrill just good ole Vietnamese elders cooking a big pot of pho broth that you can see from your table. That mountain load of beef bones boiling in the big pot and you can see your bowl is getting a fat scoop of that broth. Can it get better?Come in the morning, it’s the breakfast not to be missed. The broth of the Phở tái (rare beef) was fragrant, rich, and extremely flavorful. Love the Bún Chả Hà Nội (Hanoi style bbq pork lettuce wraps) and Thịt Nướng Cuốn (bbq pork fresh rolls)! The Chả giò (imperial rolls) were crispy and satisfying.

A review for Koreans who are tired of hamburgers and tacos.The best restaurant in San Francisco chosen by my husband.If you dont know what to order, order number 2 beef shabu rice noodles and number 17 bun cha. When you get tired of eating half of the rice noodles, add sriracha sauce and it tastes great.American food is so salty that it drys my tongue, but this place is just right. If you like it salty, add the Lee Kum Kee sauce provided at the table.The two of us ate until we were full and it came out to $29.5. There is no anti-threatening tip request, it is cheap and Wassi is the best value for money.Note: If you order large rice noodles, it comes in a bowl of kalguksu noodles. There are so many. If you dont like cucumbers or cilantro, let me know in advance.

It is believed to be a restaurant frequented by locals from the morning.Small rice noodles are also the standard/large size of regular restaurants.The cilantro is already in the rice noodles, so if you dont like it, tell me in advance. The banh xeo is crunchy and delicious, and if you ask for more lettuce, they give you more. The owner is not as friendly as a tsundere, but the service is not lacking. The rice noodle soup is clean and not greasy. The road to the restaurant is a bit dirty and there are a lot of homeless people, but the restaurant itself is clean. For parking, it is convenient to park at the meter in the next block and walk. The prices are cheap enough to make you wonder if it’s the same price as eating out in San Francisco.
