New to the South Bay area - Weve tried numerous spots, but after giving this place a try, we knew it would become our go-to!! I love the fact that theyre open late. Most places are closed by 8 or 9 pm here. The food and service are great, highly recommended!

The quality changed from a few years ago. Got the banh xeo (crepe with chicken, pork and shrimp) and bun thi nguon (rice noodle with bbq pork and fresh herbs and fish sauce on the side. The chicken and bbq pork were kind of dry and chewy.Saigon Dishs crepe is better (but only available on Saturday).

A friend recommended it. I had my usual pho spot. But lately it’s never open when I’m craving it or hasn’t been up to my standards.So I gave this place a shot. And oh man!! The fried egg rolls with a beef soup. 🤤 it’s all I need.You will not regret it at all.

My first time eating here. Suppose it would’ve been really good. And the Pho itself was great. But we ate outside in the tent, and the bowl was a to go bowl, which was quite small for everything poured in together. Got messy. Again, the taste was great. The way we ate got quite messy.As far as the service goes, it was good. The guy behind the cash register was friendly. He let us stay a few minutes over 8 pm when he had said earlier that they would bring the tables in. When I went back in to get more sauce, he offered literally a handful. I needed just one of each (hot and soy sauce).As empty as it looked, (and don’t most of restaurants look like that near the closing hours nowadays?), I saw at least three parties come for pickups. It would be nice to go back and dine inside when things turn ‘normal.’

Solid 4-star for local Vietnamese food delivered.I ordered:Bun Ga Nuong,Bun Thit Nuong Dac Biet, andHi Tieu My Tho Dac Biet.Vermicelli with chicken, shrimp, and egg rolls was good; as was the vermicelli with chicken, and the soup.Their chili flakes in oil is good!! 😋

First time tonight, veggie + seafood pho were excellent. No wait time, seated right away. A bit slow to bring the menu but the server did aknowledge this + apologized. Its a little hard to get their attention so dont come here if you expect amazing service. Loved the egg rolls, hot and crispy just how they should be! Food was served fast, nice presentation + overall pleasant experience.

I remember going in here to pick up my pho (first time trying it from this place, btw) and I had planned on just picking up my order and taking it back to work. When I noticed there were several empty seats and tables. Very spacious. I realized that I had just missed the lunch rush . That’s when I knew I could relax. So I grabbed a seat and sat down and enjoyed my pho 🤤 I was so pleased and glad I sat down to enjoy my meal. I would of gotten a bigger size if I could’ve. I think it’s just one size on the bowl. Anyways, REALLY enjoyed it. It was the chicken breast pho. I recommend. I’ve also had the beef spring rolls a while back when I was introduced to this 💎 So I’m very glad I came back.

The rare beef pho was good. Good broth. I had egg noodle with shrimp and immitation crab. It was meh. I wished I would have ordered the rare beef one like the hubby did. The spring rolls have a bit too much mint flavor. But the peanut sauce was good.

Cockroaches in the dining room. Disgusting experience.I have been a customer of this restaurant for about two years the food is good,but today it has been two times that I tell the waiters that there’s a cockroach in the dining room. The first time there was one on the floor and the waiter just crushed it with his foot and that’s it. Today another cockroach was on the chair and the waiter just squashed it with a napkin. They do not offer any discounts or anything to compensate the bad experience. If there are cockroaches in the dining room, I cant imagine how many there are in the kitchen.

A good bowl of pho is over flowing with sensuous meat, bursting flavor, and noodles I can go down on.Service was great. They were fast and kind. It seemed like the moment I told them my order, my pho arrived.My first impression was that the broth was too light.Here is my suggestion.It would be better to boil the broth longer to bring out all the flavors of each ingredient.Next, the amount of meat was the least I’ve ever received in a bowl of pho.And for some reason, the noodles was not slurpable.Price was great, but I can’t say the pho was great. My carnal desires were not satisfied, and unfortunately I will not be back.

The only reason why Im giving this a four star is due to the non engagement with the staff, they will not look your way when they pass you. You literally have to stand up and wave them over as they will refuse to see you (never seen that in my life ever). The combination Pho bowl that I got was very flavorful. But if you get something to drink, remember that they DO NOT GIVE FREE REFILLS on any beverage except water (KEEP THAT IN MIND) also do not order your drink with ice as you will not get your moneys worth, other than that, the food was great.

I usually come here to get my Pho fix. Its the best in the area. The reason for the 4 star rating is that the health department grade is a B. Makes me wonder what areas are not clean enough.Update. They still have a B rating. 1 year later. But now they hide the letter on the side door which is not used.

Food came in fast. I waited for like 3 min to get my food. The broth was delicious and clear. I ordered their #1 and it came with a lot of beef. I also ordered their Vietnamese coffee to go and it was also delicious. I give the broth an 8.5 out of 10. You wont be disappointed.

Pho dac biet And banh xeo are good. The pho broth is rich, but really flavorful. It has a LOT of noodles! The banh xeo is crunchy! I ate this in Vietnam and it was thinner there and less cakey. This isn’t the best, but it’s still good.

If you’re eating here, definitely get phở, its their strong suit. I’ve tried other dishes but they’re sub-par. Ordered bún bò but received all the ingredients for phớ, same vegetables, same broth, same meat…only difference was the noodles being bún instead of phớ. The two soups are completely different from one another from broth, vegetables, sauce, and meat cuts. Super disappointing and I probably won’t eat here again, ate there twice and it wasn’t nice.

Got seated almost instantly. Got our food pretty quickly, and the atmosphere was calm. They have a little TV playing music which is nice. The food was delicious too :) The only ding ill give this place is that they dont really come to check up on you constantly, so you have to try to get their attention (I think its a family restaurant so theyre pretty short staffed, but they do a great job). Have gone here twice now, and I definitely see myself coming again in the future ;)

Originally, I would give this place a 2 stars but saw only one of the guy servers who ran out to help this group of guys push their car with a flat tire while the rest watched and gossiped.My dad ordered the pho and didnt like how much MSG they used in their pho broth, but if you like a lot of MSG, then this place would be good for you. ordered the banh hoi dish with a side of grilled pork. The sugarcane shrimp and tofu skin stuffed with shrimp were mostly batter and not a lot of shrimp. The meatball was made the same as well with more filling than meat. The grilled pork side was a bit dry but the best out of everything that came with the dish.Just want to suggest that when a server brings out a sharp knife to go with the rice plate, please dont have the blade facing out towards the customer for personal and public safety. Use a napkin to cover the blade.

I wont be back. Very disappointed. The seafood noodle soup was fake crab and fishballs--no shrimp, squid, or real fish. The soup base tastes like it has MSG to cover the lack of real flavor. My wifes oxtail soup tasted like it had sugar added. The Vietnamese coffee was premix not drip and tasted more like HFCS than real condensed milk. Theres a real Vietnamese place just down the street--go there!!

New owners, new look. Pho better than ever. My partner and I had quit coming to this restaurant. The last owner was a lazy slob. He literally ran people out with his appearance. Fast forward to today. We showed up at ten to ten pm. We were welcomed and notified that they actually closed at 9:30 pm ( listed incorrectly on Google maps)We got our order quickly and it was just what we wanted. The fragrance of star anise rose from the bag. The new owners son was happy to help us. We spoke of our unhappiness with the last owner and staff. We could tell he was tired but took the time to be as professional as possible. PLEASE GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY (or second chance) you will be rewarded with awesome, clean, healthy food. This is my go-to pho place. I’ve been to a lot of pho places, but this one stands out in terms of taste. The only negative thing (for me) is that they don’t have pho with vegetables (e.g. carrots, broccoli).

Has a great Yelp deal for first timers. This place can be hit or miss. The food is good but the service is questionable at times. Some days no one offers you water or the eggrolls may or may not come with the lettuce and dipping sauce. I like the place but the service needs to be a little more consistent...UPDATE- no longer a place I plan on going to any longer. They are apparently under new management and the service and food have taken a complete nosedive. Ive tried going here twice since the change and ultimately walked out each time. Last time I came no one took my order or offered water while others walked in after me and were seated and served immediately. The spring rolls were hard and disgusting I left 10 minutes later after my soup never made it out the kitchen. Its far too many other options in Gardena for this place to be doing this bad

The Vietnamese spring rolls, which were not deep-fried rolls, were very good. That was what I was hoping for, and I liked them. The taste of the mint leaf in there was especially interesting. But the chicken vermicelli dish that I ordered was Dreadful. The chicken on the top was extremely overcooked, obviously cook beforehand, and was inedible. The vermicelli noodles, nuts, and bean sprouts were all fine. I would actually give this restaurant two and a half Stars.

I used to live close to this place. Always saw it, but hadn’t tried it. I did back in 2015 and been hooked since! Now I can’t find a good phõ without comparing it.They have a vast menu and I haven’t really tried much, but I recommend the pho. It’s reasonable pricing and almost home made taste. I now live in Long Beach but still travel to have their pho. Their service is also great (to me personally because I used to go a lot more often -I get recognized)!I really enjoy my time there but mostly the food -I’ve taken family and they still go from time to time.

First and foremost, very clean as you walk in, and nice atmosphere. It has a rustic look. There is parking in the front and back of the restaurant. I chose the shrimp pho soup and it was delicious. I was here for car dealership, came across this restaurant while waiting for my car to be serviced. It surprised me in so many good ways, let me tell you:1. It didnt cheap out on materials. It uses real basil. Many places use just cilantro or onion, no basil. I have come across at least three in various places and couldnt get real basil before getting to this place.2. It goes you SO MUCH noodles, i ordered small, but it is truly a large one.3. It gives you SO MUCH BEEF. see photo attached. Only $8.71 for a small. Im amazed.

My favorite here is actually not the Pho but the Deep Fried Sole Fillet with Basil Sauce!It is still a good place for pho. Not as good as it once was with the change of management. Ive ate here for years with my family every weekend..I ordered the soup with chicken. After eating about half of it I noticed the shell of some kind of small beetle was cooked into the broth (Where was the rest of it?)I felt so disgusted having ate the food already. I called to let them know about the incident and they never let me speak to a manager..They kept telling me they will be in tomorrow. They offered to just give my money back but I didnt take it. That dosen t fix the fact I ate soup with a bug cooked into it. Very disappointed about how they handled the issue. Not even an appolgie. Im very satisfied today...came in at 7pm and was not busy yet. I was seated promptly along with my new born with car seat on hand and was moved because I knew and they I was in the way of kitchen door. The gentleman who works there helped me with my car seat and placed my baby and I in a booth for ourselves and I was happy. I ordered Pho Ga which is sliced chicken breast with rice noodles and broth its bomb when you put the fixins...bean sprouts,basil leaves, sliced jajapenos and cilantro in the broth forgot to take a pic. But this time wow I got alot of chicken thats a first...not to complain but it would be in the past about 3 to 4 slices this time it was more than that. My first time to the Gardena location. I loved the food and staff at the Carson location, but they closed. I rarely go into Gardena any more, as most of my favorite places have closed or moved. This used to be Joanns Pizza, one of my favorite places to eat when I lived there. It makes me sad to see how the old neighborhood has deteriorated.

Im a frequent visitor to Vietnam, and love Vietnamese cuisine. Ive tried many Vietnamese restaurants in greater Los Angeles, and this is my favorite. Its an extensive menu, reasonable prices, friendly staff. There is always a large number of Asian diners, which attests to the quality, I believe. Closes at 9:30 pm. If you see me there, say ”xin Chao.”

WOW I never!!I sooooo wanted to like this place but it was a total bust from the beginning.1. The vegetarian options are AWFUL. I got the Fried Rice with veggies and tofu and the rice wasnt even fried. It was a disturbing yellowish color that didnt resemble any fried rice I ever had, and the veggies were frozen peas and carrots. Something you could make at home on a lazy Wednesday. It was an OK dish. I wouldnt recommend it at all.LESSON: NEVER GET BACK OF THE MENU ITEMS!!!2. The bathroom was filthy. FILTHY. Walked in and a large turd was floating in the toilet. (Had to kick the toilet handle to flush it, didnt wanna touch the handle). It was toilet paper covers all over the floor. It looked like a public restroom in a park -_-LESSON: Dirty Restroom = Dirty Kitchen = Dirty Staff3. The kitchen was FILTHY. I sat near the swinging door and caught a glance of the kitchen and was petrified. Cut up boxes on the floor to absorb water or keep the staff from slipping. The floor was visibly wet. Plus it was food particles all on the floor. It wasnt a great sign. A messy kitchen = food poisoning in some occasions. Luckily I didnt order any meat but I was worried about dookie fingers in my fried rice.LESSON: NEVER EAT WHERE THEIR A DIRTY KITCHEN4. The staff was sooooo confused. They mixed up more than one order. They gave me someone elses Tofu Stir-fry. It was at my table for a good 2 mins before they realized it and before I could figure out it wasnt what I ordered. They took it to the man behind me which i thought was kinda awkward since I was breathing over his food seconds prior. But he got his revenge when they accidently gave his table my FRIED RICE!!LESSON: NEVER LAUGH AT SOMEONES MISFORTUNE, IT CAN EASILY HAPPEN TO YOU TOO!!As a borderline germaphobe there were just one too many strikes about this place. I kept thinking ima get gonorrhea or something messing with this service. I would of appreciated it more if the food was actually good. But it was basic.

The pho soup is the most unique taste I ever had to describe it as foreign ... Tai(rare steak) is the thickest I have ever had also. Is it because the unfrozen steak is used and hard to slice thinner? I am not much into Tai. Its just my observation. The service seems barely OK for LA standard. The business seem good on Sunday night dinner time. I, myself, wont repeat tho.
