I really wanted to try this place and what could be best to have lunch on a Friday. Since the chicken is with bones, I decided to have the shrimp one. The service is really great, everything seems very structured. Each table gets a new paper sheet to cover and then the server takes your order and in no time the food is on your table. I ordered the black bean in coconut juice which is kinda dessert too. The food is delicious and the ambience is huge and packed. Try it out if you havent!

Food was great. Big portion, great presentation. $10 for 1 lb of short rib was a killer deal. The sticky rice chicken was the best dish among all. The noodle dish was the worst, very expensive and the beef was difficult to chew. We left half uneaten.My favorite was the healthy drink. Very refreshing.However, two big flaws:1. The Pho broth was NOT served hot enough, we start to see fat from the short rib floating in the broth 15mins after it was severed. It was kind of gross.2. 18% mandatory tips was a big no. Not such of real service we received.

Foods and pho were delicious. Big portion. Friendly servers, great service. It’s worth to pay 18% complimentary tips. Nice atmosphere, spacious restaurant.The only issue was by the time we arrival, there were a plenty of empty tables, but they put us on smallest table while the later customers same number of parties could be seated a larger table. It was uncomfortable seating a smaller table when we ordered more foods. Should they treating customers first come first serve

Im amazed at the amount of high quality meat you get here. The portions are large and the service here is stellar. All the staff members that helped us were attentive and respectful. Its no wonder this good-sized restaurant is packed for lunch! However, we still were able to get a parking space and only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. Most of the food comes out really fast.The combination pho was my favorite. Beef stew with baguette had a rich, darker flavor and came packed with beef. We didnt like the grilled short ribs which was very chewy, potentially since it was cooked medium rare, and we could hardly get it off the bones.

Just came to Pho Ha Noi because my throat was hurting on a Monday night.The food came really quick (5 minutes) and was fairly reasonably priced ($17). The only surprise was that an 18% service charge was already included.Food quality was pretty good, though he beef broth was on the fattier side. Plenty of meat as well.

Massive pho portions and plenty of seating in this vietnamese restaurant. the famous 1lb short rib pho was pretty good with large portions. my leftovers overfilled the take out container. would come back to try other dishes/pho.1lb short rib pho, thin noodles: short rib was tasty but a little hard to eat. large portions. broth was tasty. would get thick noodles next time since thin noodles fell apart. prefer sliced beef in pho over short rib.

Im from a state where pho restaraunts are tiny and decor is meh. This place is unlike that! Spacious and well lit modern decor. The service was lightning fast and food was top notch! My wife kept complementing on how generous the meats were in our pho. I only gave 4 stars because the viet tri color used dairy milk vs cocunut milk. Its flavor was blunted and not as sweet, lacked what I would consider the true vietnamese tricolor desert. If they could fix that, 5 stars!

Pho Ha Noi was my familys favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the Bay, so whenever we were in Cupertino, wed come here for dinner. We came on a recent Sunday evening around 6:30pm, a little later than our usual. We knew it was a busier time and expected the food to come more slowly, especially the rice plates. The pho with fresh noodles were excellent as always. However, our favorite dish, the half roasted kui fei chicken with tomato rice, really went downhill this time. The chicken skin was not crispy like before and the meat was a lot drier and not tender. We wondered if they changed their chef or used different chicken. The rice was also so dry we had to ask for a new bowl. It was very disappointing.What really bothered my family was actually the new black plates that they switched to. They were much smaller and not flat so it was hard to cut up the meat with a knife. We also didnt understand why they stuck the utensils in the middle of the plate tightly sandwiched between the food. It didnt feel sanitary. We felt a bit gross having to pick them up from the food and they got greasy right away. Please consider serving silverware separately before the food comes instead of putting them together in the middle of a plate of food.

Honestly the best chicken and sticky rice in the Bay Area!! Their pho could be less saltier and it would’ve been good too, but you can find better pho places elsewhere. But their chicken and rice will be the juiciest, most delicious one you’ll ever have. Believe me!

Really great Pho with a really small parking lot. At least half the lot is converted into outdoor dining, and there isnt many adjacent lots to use.Despite the rough parking situation the service is decent and the food is pretty great! Not a huge fan of pho but this place does it pretty well. The prices are actually really reasonable for the quality. If the craving strikes again this will be my first thought!

Updated review 3/5/2022: Pho Ha Noi upgraded their beef rib. It has more meat now. For dinner, I had their grilled pork rolls $8.75, combo pho $15.35, a side of beef rib $12 and a hot tea $1.75. Please note, on the menu, a side of beef rib states $6, I asked the waiter why it was $12 instead of $6. He said it is because the menu prices are wrong. Giggling, he said: I should have told you when you ordered it but didnt and walked away. The food tasted great as always. My bill was $37.85 before tax and tip.Updated review 8/24/2021: Water is free now! Before, only bottles of water were available for $1, which was kind of weird. They wouldnt service you a glass of water. Pho doesnt get any better than this. I had the pho dac biet $15, side of beef rib $6 and a Chinese bread stick $2.25. Everything was awesome as usual. This was one of the best experiences Ive ever had at a Vietnamese restaurant.The servers were friendly and receptive.I ordered a rare flank pho (this is Northern Style pho, so the soup is much more light and clean, without much of the sweetness and fragrance from star anise or cinnamon)with fresh wide noodles and an appetizer.My friend did not order anything, but the server preemptively brought out an extra bowl, utensils, and sauce dish anyways!!! This was such a shock to us (if you frequent Viet spots, you know why 😉).Anyways, the noodles were great: good portions and very flavorful. For $16-18, you cannot beat this bowl of pho.

I had the Rare Flank Steak Pho (#11). The noodles were soft. However, the steak was slightly tough, not quite rare, and the broth felt watered down. This was likely because we went when it was nearing closing time, and thus the quality of the food dropped. The server was kind to us, but we did have to wait some extra time for our food.

Fast, friendly service. You get a lot of food for your money. Plus they have the best tasting Thai iced tea in the area. That said, the fact that they don’t serve free drinking water but only bottled water (75 cents) is about as annoying as getting charged 25 cents for a shopping bag at the grocery store. Other than that, a very nice place to dine in 😀

It took me 1.5 years to find a good pho spot in all of the Bay Area and when I found this place, I knew it was the best I’ll ever have. The food is always so fresh and the service is spectacular. I am now a regular customer here and I love bringing my baby and friends to join me. Vinh and the rest of the staff are always so accommodating and make you feel like home. The restaurant is a bit cramped with all the seats. The food comes out super fast. The flavors are a bit muted, and the price is on the higher side at the same time. On a Saturday, it was quite difficult to get attention of the wait staff. We had to wait to ask for Sriracha, the bill, and anything else.The fresh rolls are good, though they are really stuffed in the middle, but sparse rest of the place. The fired tofu, beef pho are acceptable.

We drive 20-30 mins depending on traffic to go to this one place for the best bowl of Pho in the Bay Area. If you don’t trust this just go see for your self. Weekend are busy you’ll be waiting for about a hour for a table sometime longer. Worth it for a bigger party, 2 people should go one an off day like a Tuesday.

As someone who barely eats pho, Pho Ha Noi did not disappoint at all. I was the first one in for the soft opening and the waiters and waitresses were all extremely welcoming...which was a little overwhelming, but I never went empty on water and vegetables. The manager bragged about the quality beef they use, so I had high expectations as a big meat eater. I ordered the Beef Pho with rare steak, brisket, and fatty brisket and the meat was really tender and the broth wasnt too salty. For a little treat, they gave free corn fritters which was a nice gesture. They have a self serve area for vegetables which is pretty smart since a lot of people waste it. However, one thing Im worried about is how theyll keep the area clean.Definitely look forward to coming back and seeing how theyre able to maintain quality and service after its more established. Theyre really open to feedback which is nice to see.

Ive really enjoyed the food here. Although its only been open a few months, taking over the space previously occupied by Armadillo Willys at the intersection of De Anza & Stevens Creek, the quality and flavor of the dishes are superb. One of my favorite items they have here is the Rock N Roll Steak with Tomato Rice. The steak is expertly grilled to medium rare; tender and juicy. The tomato rice is a nice foil for the steak, cutting some of the richness of the grilled meat.The service is also prompt, the food comes out quickly, and the restaurant appears clean and well-appointed.This place has become one of my new go-tos for Vietnamese food.

I personally feel that several of the Vietnamese restaurants I’ve visited over the last few months are a little too similar, which means a bit forgettable. However, the first time I went to Pho Ha Noi I felt a completely different vibe: the restaurant is just bright and happy. Although it is a relatively new, there were already many people. That said, the wait wasn’t long (10 min on a weekend night), and the staff were all quite nice. In addition I appreciated that, unlike some of the other restaurants I’ve visited recently, Pho Ha Noi’s meat wasnt and too well done, and wasnt dry (a common occurrence). There’s also a creative self-serve topping area so you get to completely control how much of each topping you want. Overall, it’s easily my favorite go-to pho restaurant!

Everything was yummy. The food was tasty, but not overly salted or seasoned (which is how I like it) and the portions are large. Good for sharing.The servers are really kind and personable as well-- everyone who helped us was nice and welcoming, even though they are so busy.The veggie bar is self-serve.The pho flat noodles here are made in-house. I went to this restaurant for Sunday dinner! Tips: go early before or by 7 pm around as this place is busy and you won’t get a table if you get after 7:30 or so and less options in food! I am a vegetarian so we had tofu starter but the other starter tofu mashroom nori was already finished for the day. We also got the veg pho which was delicious and flavorful. The ambiance is beautiful with red cabinet setting and lovely lights around - all adds up to a welcoming atmosphere! I would recommend if you like hot hot pho in a lovely surroundings!

This is one of a major professional VN restaurants in the bay. The best one is in SJ. I came here one time with my coworker and I wasn’t impressed, although the same owner but definitely 2 separate chefs and recipes because the Pho don’t taste the same, may be Cupertino people have different taste than SJ people.This time I came with my mom who’s actually from Hanoi and my sister.They both like the atmosphere and the decor, but they actually came for food and it’s quite away from Sunnyvale where their favorites Pho Restaurants reside.My sister left half of the bowl of pho, she didn’t think it had Pho taste, I concurred. My mom loved the bún chả Hanoi, she thought it was the best she ever tasted. We all thought the garlic Tamarine prawns noodles was tasty but on the sweet side.The service is great with all the youngsters.Yes, the Cupertino branch is catered for different crowds, different tastes, different preferences and not necessarily better.It’s not WOW enough for us to drive farther for a bowl of pho. I can’t eat pho without onions in vinegar which this place doesn’t offer.

You can choose wide or thin rice noodles. The spring roll has seaweed alone with the rice paper, so its very chewy. There are quite a few fillings that you can select for the spring rolls. The steaks in pho are thicker than other pho restaurants have. The meat and soup all taste good. The thin noodles seem to be a lot more than the wide noodles in the pho. The veggies for the pho are on the side bar, you need to get it yourselves. We went there around 12 on Sunday, and got seated about 10 min later. So the wait was not too bad, buy the parking lot was full. We parked at other shopping area and walked there!

It was my time trying this place since it opened this July in Cupertino. It is a nice well-decorated restaurant which provides a sense of modern. No lines waiting on a Tuesday night around 6:30pm. We were seated immediately. I have been craving for ramen and pho these days. Honestly, I had pho last night in another place so I would like to see how this place is like. There are various options on the menu and I always have difficulties making a choice. However, there is a recommendation on the menu and there it is No.10. The service was fast and my pho came within 5 min. The portion was really huge. The sprouts and lemons were at the self service counter. You could go grab as much as you like. The noodles, briskets, tendons and soup were soooo good. I was soooo full and couldnt finish all. If you pay by credit card, the staff will bring a handy pos machine to you. A good approach to save time and paper. Highly recommend to every restaurant. I will give 5 stars due to decent price, great pho and nice enviroment here. Definitely come back again.

There is a vegetable bar, you will need to get your own bean sprouts, basil, lime and condiments. They dont bring it to you, to reduce waste since not everyone adds sprouts or basil to their soup.Decent size restaurant.It gets busy, so expect to wait. Parking lot fills up quickly. We used to go there before COVID. The have very high quality pho noodles. The place is clean. During COVID, we ordered several takeouts. The quality of the noodles still remains high but the amount of meat becomes tiny. After cook, you can only find a few broken small pieces although it is high quality beef. No, it is enough to feed an average adult although the price is not cheap at all. The pho soup could be salty. Be aware. We do not go there as often as before.

The food came so fast it practically broke my neck!This is a regular favorite of ours, hands-down, the best pho in the San Jose Area, and that’s saying something!Typically we get the spring roll sampler with our pho, and on our last visit, I tried the s salt and pepper tofu -all excellent! If you are familiar with the San Jose location, you should know that some dishes are not available at this location.The service is always super fast, they have things down to a science. On our last visit, the restaurant was busier than usual, and our food still came in less than five minutes!GOOD THING TO KEEP IN MIND: parking is exceptionally limited, we have had to park down the street on occasion. There is a little parking garage maybe two blocks over if you get desperate.

The pho is pretty good. The meat is really good quality, which is probably why its a little pricy. I asked for no cilantro but I didnt get any green onions, either. The bean sprouts, basil, peppers and hot sauce are self-serve. The other people in my group liked the food, so we will definitely be returning.Second visit, I tried the chicken curry with rice. This place is really one of the most unique and delicious Vietnamese dining experiences Ive had in the US. They have the traditional mix of pho and vermicelli while also offering things that I dont see as often such as oxtail soup and beef stew.The taste is fresh and delicious and the value is excellent for the bay area. Although there is a mandatory 18% I think it is well deserved with the attentive and friendly service as well as the quality and quantity of food you are getting.But no need to simply take my word for it, just check out all their other positive reviews as well as the fact that theres almost always a line at meal time and decide for yourself.

This used to be a 5-star Pho place on the Westside (they were outstanding during the pandemic). Unfortunately, since my last visit, things have changed a lot. My dad and I decided to meet here for dinner today and it will be my last visit for awhile.Changes since our last visit:- New grey chopsticks and spoons. They felt lighter, smaller, and really cheap. The chopsticks had hard square edges that were uncomfortable to hold. My dad immediately commented on how slippery and cheap they felt.- No Sriracha! They are now using another hot sauce that is a light brown, not as thick, and had no where near the taste of Sriracha.- It was just the 2 of us at dinner (2 Phos, spring rolls, iced tea) and there was an automatic 18% gratuity added to our bill. I was going to tip higher anyways but it is in poor taste to force an automatic tip on your customers. I even asked if I can tip in cash and was told no. Anyone who has worked in the food, service, and hospitality industry knows that cash tips are much better for the staff.Management has taken a great restaurant and changed it for the worse.

Pretty amazing pho here. The broth is best described as nuanced and clean tasting; it is some of the best broth I have had in the Bay Area. The short rib pho is a better alternative to the beef rib pho because the meat and bone portions are more manageable (dont be afraid to ask for a knife, or just go at it - not gonna judge). Used to frequent Pho Ha Noi but they’ve recently started using smaller bowls and increased prices to $17 a bowl! I get inflation has a role to play.Some days the soup is amazing and other days it’s completely bland and watered down.For $17… I would want consistency.Additionally we usually get their pork spring rolls with ‘special house sauce’ that didn’t have peanuts before.We ordered it again - and the sauce looked more brown. Visited here recently for team lunch. They dont take reservation, however they were kind enough to prepare the table, since I called 30 mins before arrival. Indoor dining has restarted. There are lot of choices on the menu. Also restaurant is huge with many tables. Parking can be little difficult, it gets filled quickly. We ordered several varieties of Pho, all the items were great. Tried this place for the first time as its near my workplace, often seeing lines at the door during prime hours.Unfortunately, this turned out to be a really bad match for what I am used to at various places around the world (except in Vietnam).Spring rolls came first, but with the pork. For saltiness, I had to add a cup and a half of the hot tea to make it edible. The thickness of the soup base and the taste seemed closer to Japaneseramen, which I really do not like. The healthy portion included a lot of meat. Again, the meat style was different - my norm was thin and to be cooked in the bowl with the hot broth. But, here, it was thicker and appeared to be already cooked before broth was poured. In fact, the meat actually seemed overcooked as the meat was tough. I rarely do not finish any pho, including the broth. This one, I left ~40% of the food!The spring roll was the opposite. It lacked saltiness, making it bland.Perhaps this is a place for those who like ramen-like taste and larger portions.

Pathetic Pho - Went in on a Monday evening to try a new Pho place instead of our regular and came out regrettably sad. Half the tables were empty but theres a line at the check-in counter?? First, I had the famous Bun Cha Ha Noi ( because Anthony Bourdain and President Obama ate it in Ha Noi). The decor is more modern, and the staff seems to be more mechanical rather than personal as in most pho restaurants. This is not necessarily a bad thing though.The restaurant seemed rather popular. We went as a party of three around 8pm on a Sunday. The parking lots thirty-some spaces have all been taken. Each of the parking spaces is labeled clearly as for Pho Ha Nois customers. Only one space was left, and it was marked as for Pho Ha Nois manager. This is good and bad. The good thing is the manager, who is probably the owner, cares about visiting the restaurant frequently such that he/she needs a dedicated parking space that is the closest to the front door, except of the two handicap spaces. The bad thing is that the manager puts his own convenience over the customers. One good space can be used by twenty or more customers a day, but the manager wants to keep it vacant most of the time.There were six or so parties waiting in front of us. The waitlist is based on an App on an iPad, which somehow was not plugged in so it was running low in battery. The host did not notice it until 30 minutes after I signed in. We waited for about 12 minutes to get seated.The dining room was very brightly lit, and the tables were bright white, making the whole place daylight bright. The chopsticks provided are disposable type. The napkins are thick (unlike in many pho places). The bean sprouts are self-serve via a station. I saw a staff pouring a new bag of sprouts into the container in the station. The arrangement seemed more sanitary. Imagine bean sprouts provided in regular pho restaurants. You might wonder how the sprouts had been handled in the kitchen. In the case of Pho Ha Noi, they are fresh out of a sealed bag.We ordered pho and spring rolls. The pho was delivered rather expeditiously (almost as fast as in Pho Nam) but our spring rolls were probably forgotten. They were delivered about 8 minutes after I reminded a waiter.The presentation of the pho is nice. The utensils and bowls seemed clean. The soup, however, was too salty compared to other places. The noodle was well spread versus in some other restaurants the noodle stayed in a bundle.It was an okay dining experience. Wished they didnt forget the spring rolls. The prices are a little bit (perhaps 10%) higher than other pho places and the waitline is longer than other pho places.

Amazing pho place! A good first meal there would be the beef combo pho. Good amount of a variety of beef. The bean sprouts and basil are in a buffet bar style tray, which helps cut down on waste. Sauces are also get as much as you need, on the same buffet tray as the basil and bean sprouts. Service is fast, but definitely get there before the Segate and Apple employees take over the restaurant. Parking is also a little tight. Also definitely try the spring rolls with the pork and won ton noodles. Its a good in between taste, and the dipping sauce it comes with is amazing! Tldr: come during off peak hours, good first combo is a combo beef pho and the crispy pork spring rolls.

From east side SJ to the west! Im so glad I dont have to drive all the way to the other side of the city to get pho. Sure, theres Pho Hoa which isnt too far from me and other Pho places around but they arent as AUTHENTIC and FLAVORFUL as Pho Ha Noi. They even have a side bar where you can get all your sauces, bean sprouts, even jalapeños! Just grab as much as youd like...but you better eat it all!! Dont let it go to waste.I usually order their chicken combo pho or beef combo with thin noodles only. And I love them both equally, although my boyfriend likes their beef combo pho more. The price Im paying for this good of pho, Id say its pretty worth it than paying cheaper and not great quality food. Ive gone atleast four times for dinner and hardly ever waited long! Ive been here a handful of times and have yet to take pictures of my food :(. I dig in right away!

Premium angus beef, fresh handmade noodles, and delicious broth made from scratch is good enough as it is, but THIS pho priced at under $13 will blow anyone away with the value! Came yesterday for the soft grand opening and tried a lot more than the pho theyre so famous for. Other favorites included the corn fritters, fresh spring rolls, and half chicken with tomato rice. But if its pho you want, #11 rare flak steak is pure perfection. Cant wait to come back for more!

They’ve set up one of the nicest outdoor dining areas of any restaurant around. You’re shaded under a nice canopy of trees with some tables on a grassy lawn. They did a great job, and the food was terrific as usual. We haven’t been there for months and thoroughly enjoyed the experience at lunch today.

Food is good, but I need to give two stars for these reasons. (actually even consider to give one). I came here for to-go order.I was waiting in the store. No one let me know the food was ready until I waited too long and asked to check my oder, and then figured out food is ready but just did not let the customer know.The cup lid is on the cup, but not tightly closed, so I spilled the drink when driving home.Part of the side dish was missing. Good food, disappointing service. I came here with another diner, after putting my name in as we were leaving home. It was supposed to be a 20 min wait and it took around 10 mins to get there. A couple of minutes before arriving, the app showed we were up. When I got to the check in counter, nobody was there and I selected the check-in from their tablet. We then waited 10 mins while others were called ahead of us. When we asked when we could be seated, they said they already called us several times and we didnt answer. They certainly didnt call us while we were there, after checking in.After being seated, we ordered and waited a reasonable amount of time for food to come out. One dish came, but mine did not. The other diner ate their meal while I was waiting. In the mean time, we asked several times about the other dish and were told it was coming. Just as the other person finished their dish, mine was served. Then they got to sit there while I was eating.Pretty basic stuff to get right, and they didnt. Maybe take-out would be a better experience, but their parking lot sucks and theres nowhere else to park nearby.
