Found this place by accident while trying to go to another Pho House. Food was good, spring rolls were tasty, pho was nice and warm (they made it spicy for me and it was great). Only reason I didnt five 5 stars is because I ordered a Honeydew Smoothie and never got it. When we paid, I wasnt given the receipt with the item listing. Only thing I was given to sign was the total and tip. I hope they didnt charge me for the smoothie, but other than that food was yummy.

Tasty and quick. Didnt get the pho, but we had bun, stir fried rice noodles with seafood and rice noodle soup with pork and shrimp. I wouldve preferred more veggies and pork in my noodle soup... but others were happy with theirs. I good portion... not huge.. but filling so if youre really hungry, get an appetizer.

Visited this place while in the area. Went in the evening and it was kinda hard to find because the lights for their sign outside the building was not lit up. Walked in and it was pretty busy. Despite it being busy we were seated in a few mins. Got lucky a couple tables were done. We ordered the grilled beef, vegetable noodle soup and the Hue Spicy Noodle Soup. The grilled beef and soup were pretty tasty. The broth in the soup was perfectly hot. We were kinda disappointed with the Hue Spicy Noodle Soup though. First of all its NOT spicy and the noodles in it were like spaghetti noodles. Service was not bad for it being busy. Food came out in a timely matter. Lots of parking. Reasonable prices.

People with allergies, BEWARE.I came here on Sunday, December 3, 2023, with my friends and family. I ordered the stir-fry noodles and I specifically informed them that I was allergic to mushrooms. The food came out and there was a mushroom sitting on top. I informed the server and reminded them that I was allergic to mushrooms, and was told that theyll remake it. I was 10 minutes into eating the remake and found a mushroom underneath the noodles. 10 minutes later, my lips and face were swelling up. The only thing the server could tell me was I told the chef no mushroom. I had to overdose on allergy medicine as I was sitting there to prevent my throat from closing. My hands were swelling up and I got light-headed walking to my car.

I love this place. The staff are always friendly, the food is always hot and yummy, and the portions are generous. We never wait long and we always leave full and with leftovers. Its our favorite local pho place.I like to get the house pho and my husband likes to get the chicken with fried rice. We also get an order of spring rolls. This is our normal order and our favorite for sure.January 2023: still my favorite place to eat with the kindest staff ❤️

I love it when people say this is the best place in Oceanside. Theres not one good restaurant around Oceanside or Carlsbad or fall. Brook, and Ill keep going, but anyway. The broth was tasty. I got the foe could have been a little stronger. If it was real Vietnamese, they would have some other lettuce on with the beans. Brow, its in basil. My only problem with the meal is that the meat was real tough. I got rare steak and then I got the Spring rolls with the beef. The grilled beef and the small pieces of beef were tender, and the rest of it was tough and chewy so that ruined the whole meal. So if you get tender beef, Ill give you 5 stars, and if you dont, Ill come back and give you one.

The food is authentic and quite frankly, I do not think you can go wrong with anything you choose here. Please ask the staff for recommendations if you are not sure what to get. They will not steer you wrong. As far as drinks, I would recommend the Thai iced tea or a taro drink. Both are excellent! The spring rolls are always crispy and the Pho is always hot! 10/10 recommend

I have had Pho around the world (Okinawa, Singapore, Bahrain) and in US (Oregon, Cali, Virginia, North Carolina) I can say hands down this place is the best. I love making the soup spicy by adding a TON of Sriracha however, this broth is so good I didn’t want to make any changes! I feel like they are family too. I left for 3 years and when I went today, I felt like I was visiting friends. You all wont know until you go! So go!

We were happily surprised with this little restaurant. The four of us ordered three vegetarian dishes and a house special pho soup. All of our dishes were tasty and appetizing. I would definitely recommend this place for casual dining and I would order again if not in person then on DoorDash or other service.

This place is hands down my favorite place to go to for Pho. Its small inside but its a welcoming feeling being there. Super friendly staff and always clean. The best part is the broth of their Pho. We moved up here about a year ago from Vista and this place has been our go to place ever since. I love how nice they pack it and the food is always fresh. I usually get the rare pho and egg rolls and they’re always hot and crispy even as a take out. The broth is so fragrant and delicious.

Very nice little restaurant in this strip mall. You have this restaurant, Mexican food and Guatemalan food, plus a fresh seafood place in case you want to shop and cook. Im pretty stuck on the house special fried rice that comes with shrimp and slices of seasoned beef. Its a large portion and can easily be two servings. Their chicken wings are huge and crispy. We had the tofu spring rolls and they have this crunchy fried component that add salt and texture. The staff are so friendly. I often judge an ethnic restaurant by seeing how many of the customers are of that ethnicity. If they are feeding their own, then it will be good.

First time trying this place and both my mom and I agreed the broth had no flavor (even after adding basil, lime and hoisin) and the chicken was tough. Today after a long day of work… i made a decision to go eat at this small location and brought my emotional support dog aling as i work, attend online courses. Because im inside all day long i decided to bring my dog with me. Only to be face with the staff to say no and woukd not serve me on the outside patio table because of my dog being with me. This small buisness decline me outside sitting and a dinning experience because if my dog. Don’t bring your pets even if you’ll sit outside because you will be denied service. I would have been ok ordering to go, but not even that option was offered. They would not even use their words, besides nod no. I would have ordered to go, waited outside. Terrible service in a time where basic communication would have avoided this horrid experience. All I wanted was some soup.

The best customer service youll find anywhere. The family that runs the place is great. We lived abroad for about 8 months and our first stop when we got home was Pho House. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted like we never left. Everyone remembered us and even remembered our favorite dishes. Oh and all of the food is amazing.

Staff very friendly and attentive. Couldve taken our empty plates sooner but overall great. What just happened?! Read several good reviews before going and didnt even get to the food because the chef needs to do a better job of running his menu by the server first.When the server said he prefers customers not ask for sugar to add to hot tea because its not authentic Vietnamese style, we said okay, dont want to be rude to the culture, well just have water.Then the server curtly said no, you wont like it, when we tried to order the pork rind rolls appetizer. At that point we calmly excused ourselves to get decent Pho food with very good service down the road.

I havent ordered alot of the other rice dishes on the menu but my friends say theyre awesome. The owner is such an honest, great man. Beautiful Vietnamese cuisine! A lot of Vietnamese restaurants, particularly in San Diego and Orange counties, serve great food, but this is one of those few that are really on top of their game and just do it better. So I stopped here on my way home to check out their bun bo hue. I was not very pleased. It was not very spicy or flavorful. It was just mediocre. I Really like the fact that they did give you a lot of vegetables to go with my soup. I ordered their spring rolls and to my surprise they add the radish and carrots like that of a Vietnamese sandwich (banh mi). I really did like that change in a spring roll. I also ordered a rice dish to go for lunch the next day. The portions looked kind of small but I did like the fact that they gave me the side of pickled cabbage.

Very good food. Nice portions for the price. If you have kids, they have kids size pho portions that will fill up probably kids 10 and under for less than $4. My 7 and 9 year old got the kids size pho and were full. Kids food price is very good compared to other places we have visited. We ate chicken pho, shrimp pho and a half and half of grilled chicken and steak pho. All pho was delicious. We also tried the shrimp fried rice and it was super delicious. Recommend. Will return.

I always go to Pho Oceanside but they are now closed on Thursdays so my friend and I decided to try this place. The vermicelli noodles were hot instead of cold which I was disappointed with. The chicken had really good seasoning and flavor. we should have checked our order before leaving because upon getting home and opening the boxes, my friend realized they had given him the wrong dish. The seasoning on the meat was decent but not what he was wanting. All together it wasnt that the food tasted bad, its just not what he ordered and not what Im used to because I always go to Pho Oceanside... I dont think Ive ever eaten pho right, but I finally have because of this place! I love pho now. Tasty broth, friendly staff and owner, and delicious jasmine tea. Its a small interior but the service is fast and weve never had to wait long. Ive ordered it to go as well and they packaged everything in individual containers. This is for this one visit only. The Pho and the rice dishes are excellent.Wanted to have try their Vietnamese Beef Stew, had it seven different Vietnamese restaurants and they were excellent and similar with slight variations, so ordered it here.Vietnamese Beef Stew with Rice and Baguette.That was how I ordered it. The order taker asked what type is noodle and I repeated that I wanted it with Rice. He kept taking rice or egg and I repeated Rice.When the order came, it looked like a swamp. 4 pieces of meat, 3 carrots, in a Pho bowl buried in broth/soup. No rice and no baguette. I asked wheres the rice, and he replied in the bowl.There was no rice, but rice noodles. Asked for rice and got noodles. And no baguette. The choice was noodles (rice or egg) or steamed rice and a baguette. He continued to be argumentative with me bringing out the menu stating OR. I was getting fed up and stated that I ordered it with Rice not Noodles, since I havent eaten since 5 am and it was 430pm when we arrived.He offered to remake it and I told him to forget about it, just being me a bowl of rice, which he eventually did. Took the meat and carrots out and placed it on the rice with a spoon of soup.It tasted like fish and soy sauce. Like it was marinated in it for hours. There is fish sauce I the dish, but not that much. It was horrible, you couldnt taste the beef, what little beef there was. I could make a pot of Vietnamese Beef Stew that would serve 10 people, and I would use 6 tablespoons for the entire pot.They wouldnt even refill my glass of water.Ill eventually go back for the Pho and rice dishes, but never for that stew.

This had been my go-to for pho for about a year now but I tried going last night (a Saturday night) at around 8:10 pm and they refused to serve us even though they dont close until 9 and another family was in there eating and had clearly just begun their meal. I always get the everything pho, which comes with a big plate of basil, chilies, sprouts, and limes. I often get the vietnamese iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk, but lately I have been getting their salty lemonade drink. This place is good, and they can get pretty busy, so dont get angry if the service isnt awesome

The pho and rest of the food here is the best in Oceanside that we have had so far, but all of the employees were talking very loudly out in the front, making the whole experience very annoying. Instead of talking, they should play some light background music, and leave the small talk in the back of the house.

This was the first Vietnamese restaurant that I had been to when I got stationed in Pendleton, and has been my favorite ever since. I come here all the time. The people are friendly and accommodating, the Pho is the best Ive had in Cali ( Im mixed Viet from Houston, we know our pho), the banh mi is cheap and delicious, the hu tie and bun bo hue are fantastic, and the Vietnamese coffee is the Bomb. Seriously, I was up 36 hours straight because of that bad boy. Highly recommend for a cheap, filling meal anytime of day.
