This meal was absolutely terrible. I ordered to-go.. and after a few bites of the appetizer I ordered (spring rolls), I threw them in the garbage. The chicken was disgusting and the peanut sauce tasted like sugar and brown water. Then, I tried my chicken lemongrass Bun bowl. The chicken was inedible. Full of gristle. Nothing remotely tasted like lemongrass. And the noodles were basically spaghetti pasta noodles... NOT what a Bun bowl should EVER be. I took a few bites of that and tossed it in the garbage as well. Dont eat here. This is not legitimate Asian food.
Not a good experience first time in desert valley. Need to pay before you sit that too 15 percent tip included. They don’t even tell you tip is included in the bill. Took almost an hour to get the food the server is the cashier I wonder if she is cook too. Had to ask for soup spoon none of us got it. Had to keep going to the front desk and ring the bell whenever we needed anything. At the end asked for some glass of what she got us two small water and said 1.99 each. I never write a review no matter how bad the service but this place I had just have to it is not fair to us taking 15 percent tip with that kind of service. We pay money and have the right to know what it is for.
Ill never know how good it is becuse that area of D.H.S. has way to much problems with homeless sleeping around this food establishment
Took 40min to serve.No bean sprouts till we ask.Weed smell in restroom.Enforced 15% tip but still put a suggested 15% tip on check, I didnt notice it and paid 30% tip for such a bad service:(
We had beef pho and tofu Cho mein there for dinner. It was very good. What I want to especially point out is the hard working lady there who was the one man show. She took orders, prepared food, served and cleaned. She was the only one running the whole thing! I was very impressed and very grateful for her work! Of course we left an extra tip! It was well deserved!

The WORST FOOD AND SERVICE.DO NOT GO HERE.They dont tell you that they take only cash until after youre done eating. We ordered an order of spring rolls (4) and it only had 2, we told the server and she bring the other two separately. We ask for a small and a large boba and the large was in a bigger cup but only filled half way through, I ordered a mango one and they got me a taro, I didnt wanted to make a big deal so I took it. I ordered teriyaki chicken with rice which took them more than 40 min to serve and when they brought it it was chicken with rice noodles, they said they didnt have rice so they just went ahead and put noodles instead without even asking. The check had a 15% gratuity added automatically which they also dont tell you. So for a table of 3, mistaken items, burnt flavored food and horrrrible service we had to still pay more. Never coming back and definitely spreading the word about this 👎🏼
Very very bad service the dishes changed the drinks half a plate of 4 pieces with 2 pieces they did not accept cards. the dirty toilets and the obligatory tip it took 40 minutes to serve and some dishes without rice in a Chinese restaurant. and the waitresses in shorts and flip flops, terrible

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Palm Springs area. They’re not open consistently unfortunately- it’s only one sweet Vietnamese lady that works here but it’s worth it!
Horrible experience. That was the last straw. Sometimes theyre open, sometimes theyre not. Hours are never what they have posted. Today we ordered over the phone and was told it would be ready in twenty minutes. We showed up 25 minutes later and they said its going to be a few minutes. An hour later they tell us the chicken we ordered for one of the soups is not available but we could substitute dark meat, Teriyaki chicken or beef. They didnt know this when we ordered? Get home and the vegetable soup with tofu had no tofu. Weve given this place many chances but this was the last one. Guess were driving to Palm Springs or Palm desert. They should change their name to NO PHO...
We were the only customers, yet my order took 40 minutes, came out EXTREMELY salty, the meat was dry and old, and twice the price of any other pho place...... they force take a tip, for horrible service, and un wiped tables...I definitely dont recommend !
Not the classiest place,.. most of the tables had not been cleared of dinner things left by earlier clients. Past that remark, dinner bowls were good with fresh vegetables and crispy egg rolls. Spring rolls were at a Max size with fresh lettuce and thin slices of meat. Water with ice cubes served without waiting and service was quick and good welcome feeling. Grade A place well deserved !

I’ve been going to this place for the last 4 years now and I always forget to leave a review but here I am now finally doing it. This place is a true gem for exquisite Vietnamese food! Portions are great and the price is just right! The must try is the Pho!! You can’t go wrong, but don’t stop there from their appetizers to rice dishes and noodles, everything always taste great and just so flavorful!!! I’m a picky eater too, so I swear I’m not lyinggg! If you haven’t tried this place out, I would 100%% recommend that you do!
This was a good place in the beginning. Best banh mi Ive had. But this place kept in getting worse and worse. Cleanliness is not too big here and table and condiments and pretty much everything is dirty. Saw one of the cooks sneeze into his hands on the way into the kitchen. Gonna bet washing was not a thought. A shame, this place has such potential.
I dont know why this restaurant has 4.2 stars. They charge a 15% tip if you dine in. The table was dirty, so we asked to wipe out it again, but the waiter was just pretended to wipe out the table. The employees dont wear a mask. They don’t serve a cup of water, you have to buy a water bottle and its 2.50.
Three stars was the wait time.. It was good value for the price. The spring rolls were like burritos! I had Bahn mi sandwich but was chicken instead of pork ( that I usually lean to).It was spicy and it was like a pulled teriyaki chicken which was good. Lastly I had a honey dew smoothie which is my favorite still is.

The second time desperately needed a bowl of PHO, and the same results. Strangely some older Vietnamese man came out of the door across from the restroom. I have come here three times. First time was great. Good food and the server was nice. The last time before this review we sat here 30 mins before getting a hello and requesting our drinks. We ordered cokes (never got them). We waited 15 mins before they got our food orders. Then we waited over an hour before we got our food. People in the back speak ZERO English. The usual server was off. Finally got our food. It was OK. This time we came in and the place was filthy. The waiter cared zero about us. He rushed us to order. They didnt have a lot of items on the menu. We got our food (fried rice and chow Mein). The rice was very generic. It was like a box kit. The chow Mein noodles were super squishy and was mostly over cooked veggies. Food was gross. We didnt finish. Also Sat here with no check ins. Waiting 30 mins for our check. Also wrote this review while waiting.Word of advice...Skip this place. Inconsistent. Rude. Filthy. Not worth the money.
First off, this place is incredibly filthy. All the silverware had food stains and grease. When we were told we can sit at any table, which were mostly filled with all the previous customers dishes, we were never given a menu until we looked around and found one ourselves. If you plan on eating here, bring your own utensils. Ordered the pho noodles, it was supposed to come with meatball, and literally came with one meatball. Stingy with the meat I guess. Green tea boba is surprisingly good. Despite the uncleanliness, the food is below average.
This is the only Pho restaurant in Desert Hot Springs. Fortunately it offers good food, large portions at a more than fair price.I like both the soups and salads. I often get the spicy chicken salad. Lots of chicken and fresh vegetables with a small cup of a lightly sweet dressing. For $10 you wont leave hungry.The menu is large and offers veggie or meat versions to suit most tastes. Try the veggie spring roles. Clean and flavorful.People are nice and the food is made to order so it will take a few minutes. Folks do a great deal of take out if convenience is important. I like the many libation options which include beer and classic Viet bean drinksSupport your local mom and pop restaurant. They need your business to insure we have some diversity in fair city.
Really disappointed, ordered my food ahead of time so itd be ready for me to pick up on my way to work, but no.. I show up and wait for the cashier to help everyone else in the store before letting me pay for my food, then after already paying he then tells me the order hasnt even been made yet. I ordered ahead of time so I wouldnt have to deal with this, if I didnt already pay I would have left. Bad enough when I got my food it wasnt cooked all the way it was bland and flavorless. I was a usual customer definitely not coming back now.
Everyone needs to stop by and eat at this wonderful restaurant in Desert Hot Springs across from McDonalds. We have eaten there a few times and the food and owners are just wonderful. It just opened so stop by and have their delicious food and enjoy!!! I use to do a Restaurant review for Channel 5 in Los Angeles and this place is on the top of my list.
Bad service, OK food, high prices. Ordered iced tea and it looked like dirty water. Never again at this place. Also, I think they reuse the basil, sprouts, peppers and limes from other customers plates who dont use them all! Just saying....saw the table buser dumping them on a big plate and taking back to the kitchen. Yuck!
Worst Pho Ive ever had. We waited over 30 minutes for our to go order. The spring rolls are the size of borritos and 90% lettuce. Pho broth was very bland. It included tripe which I didnt order and the sprouts and basil were slimey. I took a few bites and threw the rest away.
Great authentic Asian cuisine. Friendly staff. Ate either breakfast, lunch or dinner each of the 6 days we were vacationing in Palm Springs. Being from NYC, its not hard to find great Asian fare and I would rank this place right up there with any of them.
I tried the restaurant special Pho and was grinning within seconds. The basil for the soup was one of the most delightfully fragrant Ive had. My wife ordered the Spring Rolls and a Bahn Mi; both terrific!With a Thai coffee, the total bill was pennies over $18. Well be making this our go-to.
Don’t Eat Here! My experience at this restaurant went horribly wrong and I left after taking two bites of my food. The wait time is outrageously long as there is only one server working the entire dining area. The soda xi muoi (plum soda) was too sweet, the rare steak pho was over cooked, and the broth resembled lightly seasoned microwaved noodle water. I paid for the untouched food and left to go down the street to Domo Sushi.
I have not visited in a while decided to come back and get their menu item #2 and I have to say I am so disappointed the broth was not good not like it used to be tasted more like water and chicken flavored bouillon (I pretty much received an over priced cup of noodles) the steak was overcooked when I asked for it to be served raw, I purchased spring rolls they were fine but instead of peanut sauce i received a mysterious black slush .
Since Tina and Jose no longer run the restaurant things are not good. The owner/operators husband suffered from a stroke and is more of a hinderance. He will sit and stare at the guest. Many find this so uncomfortable they leave.Service has also dropped and the quality has diminished which is sad because we would bring many people to the restaurant for business and personal purposes.Since this original review Pho Na continues to fail. Visitors are now frequently greeted with restaurant is closed signs.
DONT EAT HERE! The owner Tina and her husband Jose are careless about their employee and customers. They have one guy doing all the cooking, serving and collecting payment at the same time, they are slavering this poor man who is a very hard worker. the place is dirty, tables are dirty her dad picks up dirty dishes but doesnt wipe down the tables, they also have just random people helping out at times, shes never ever present to accommodate her customer, all they care about is money, oh by the way....Dont tip the employees because the owners Tima and her husband keep all tips, her people work more than 11 hours a day but she doesnt pay them overtime!!! So sad for the people they have working here in DHS and Beaumont! Im contacting the health department for sure!

Awesome authentic real deal. Veggie and chicken pho is chicken soup for what ails you. Squeezed lots of lime. Shreddedup the basil added all sorts of things and a total feastwas ours. We got here just before closing and the friendly staff did not rush us and we felt very welcome.

This place is very disappointing the service was awful when we walked in no one was there to greet us. We had both ordered #20 I has asked got extra shrimp and the extra was a whole two pieces. The egg rolls we ordered were burnt. My husband and i will never ever eat at this place again

They open until 11 pm. We really enjoyed their soup. Egg roll was not special. They only accept cash/debit card, no credit card!

I call this place PHO NASTY! When your pork eggrolls taste SOUR, dont try to sell me because its the marinated meat. Either way the meat or the sauce is BAD. The pho, no comment and Ill leave it at that.

I’ve tried to go for the past 4 days and I’m consistently hit with a “Sorry We Are Closed” sign.. Funny because they have a sign that says it’s open 7 days a week but hasn’t been open all week.

I ordered the chow chow mein with chicken beef shrimp It looked like soup and the noodles were soggy nasty, also ordered the teriyaki chicken with white rice the chicken tasted like chicken thats going bad very dry and nasty taste the only thing good in that plate was the rice not going back very nasty
Food was OK, they need to stick with Vietnamese food and stopTeriyaki everything. Way too much salt.But I will return to try the Pho Do Bien...more later

2023-06-12 19:09:23A real Vietnamese flavor restaurant. The number one “House Special” combination pho was perfectly tasty! The soup, beef slice, beef tripe, beef meatball, and even the leaf were all delicious! And I love the egg rolls too. But it took long for serving the food.

2023-06-09 19:32:43Traveling through from Oklahoma city. I ordered a number 2 with a whole young coconut. Very fresh and tasty. Service was fast and great. The surrounding area is not great. Before I left, I got a smoothie to go, and it was the best peach smoothie I have ever had! Highly recommend!

The generous beef strips are juicy and well seasoned, and the steamed rice is topped with a single egg, fried to your preference. There are some sliced carrots and cucumbers on the side, presentation is very artistic and shows great pride in her work. I enjoyed an excellent pineapple smoothie. The beautiful lady is always smiling, and the restaurant has three giant screen TVs showing travel, sports digest and the movie of the day. Service is always good, especially considering she is usually by herself.

This restaurant is open until 11 pm, several hours later than other pho restaurants in the area, which close by 9 pm.Really enjoyed my meal and hope to return next time I’m in the area.

Maybe msg is used in the soup flavor is good but could be a little more authentic 7/10 experience would go again.

2023-08-19 07:21:40Beware of a very deceptive and illegal thing they do. We ordered our meal, we were very shocked when our bill for two came to 82 dollars . I checked the receipt and added it myself and it came to only 72. When I questioned the woman she told me the 10 dollar discrepancy was the tip she had taken out for herself. Nowhere on the menu did it inform the customer that gratuity would be automatically added to the bill . But on the receipt itself, NOWHERE did it show as a charge. As a matter of fact it had a blank space where the tip should be written in BY THE CUSTOMER. .The only tip mentioned was at the bottom where a 15% gratuity was SUGGESTED.which means they have their register programmed to secretly add that tip but not show it ( see photo) in hopes of getting a double tipHad to argue with the woman and refuse to leave ( she was locking up) until she returned it. Which she finally begrudgingly did.Jokes on her because as a server for many many years I ALWAYS overtip and she would have made 20 had she not be so greedy9 been greedy. That being said, the food pplwas delicious and generously portioned .P. S. We had also ordered spring rolls and a salad but received neither one . So add poor service to this review.So eat there because the food is good but check your billBB ed
