I had the tofu spring rolls which are affordable, but they forgot the mint, so they were flavorless and the peanut sauce doesn’t even taste like peanuts. The host and waitress were on their phones the whole time. The dining room was the nicest part of the place.

We go almost every other week to get dinner or lunch here! The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is clean and cozy, and the food is BOMB! Everything we have had has been hot, fresh, and delicious! We love the prices and the amount of great food you get is totally worth it. We almost always get a bahn-mi to go (I recommend you do as well for lunch the next day).

Great food.However,they just didnt listen when I ordered. Also my order of extra pork was mostly lettace with a little bit of pork ans it cost almost 5F im pissed. Plus didnt listen properly when i order so i never got me pork sandwich and they never tried to correct it. Was extremely disappointed, egg rolls were over cooked and the sandwich had barely any meat on it plus the fact that a side of meat; which only had 4 slices at most and the rest was salad to make it look like there was a lot.Total rip off. Every other place Ive gone loads the sandwich with meat and provide lettuce for the egg rolls. Just dont think I will ever come back.

The pho here is mediocre at best. I felt like it almost tasted old… maybe it was just me. I ordered the #1 their special (which was supposed to be large). I didn’t feel like it was a large OH and there is no meat balls in there (I didn’t realize it didn’t come with one until afterwards and I had to go back and read the description. Sad face 😞)I also ordered their egg rolls which was pretty good but I wish it came with more herbs (maybe some cilantro and mint.)

Great people, but this shrimp fried rice is pretty sad. Its too oily and soggy, and the previously frozen shrimp and veggies are stale. Its sad because it seems they sacrifice a lot of quality for quantity and speed. If you want a quick meal this is the spot, if you want quality, elsewhere is probably better. There really isnt any passion in their cooking. I bet what they eat at home is better than what they serve. They should serve the food they eat at home. I wont be coming back. Its just too sad for me.

This is a beautiful and hygienic place with reasonable prices as they haven’t increased the prices while the inflation is hurting so badly. A big plus is all foods are so delicious and fresh. The customer service is excellent with swift foods served. We highly recommend Everyone to come!! We’re from Orange County, but we have to order to-go foods. This place is beyond amazing compared with other Vietnamese restaurants in OC. We definitely come back once we visit San Diego again.

Found this place after being refused service at another pho restaurant. We arrived around 8:25 pm and stayed until about 9 pm and people were still arriving and being seated (they close at 9:30). We ordered the egg roll and spring roll combo appetizer which both rolls were really good and their peanut sauce was topped with a good amount of crushed peanuts. We both ordered pho. The bowls had a lot of both meat and noodles and the broth had great flavor and was served perfectly hot. The rare steak in the soup actually came out looking rare. The place itself is clean with a large dining room and a small bar. They do serve beer and wine which is great. Will definitely be coming back even though the other place is closer. They just gained a couple of regulars.

I’ve been here multiple times and have experienced rude and judging customer service mostly every time. But today was by far the worst experience that honestly kind of hurt my feelings. I had been in there yesterday to order rice to go and they sold it to me with no issue. I went in there again today and the man helping me didn’t want to sell me anything on the menu. First I asked to buy rice with a pan fried egg that was listed on the side orders. He told me I can’t get that and after asking why he told me the menu had not been updated. So I decided on just rice with a soda and and he told me I’m not allowed to get rice to go. After telling him I was just here yesterday and got the same thing he said his manager called and got mad that they sold me rice and I could no longer purchase rice to go. Not to assume, but it felt like the guy was the manager and they just didn’t want to sell me rice. I’ve bought other things here before not always just rice, and have always tipped and been pleasant so I really just felt discriminated against a bit. I definitely will no longer be coming here. You can feel a bad energy and like they all talk about you after everything you say or Order. They’ve also told me before when asking for extra soy sauce packets to go that I did not need more and I was using too much. I don’t really think it’s their place to say how much soy sauce I use. I was also getting food for other people. They’re extremely rude and made me feel awful. I wouldn’t give these people your service.

If there has zero star I would like to give it zero. The pho, egg rolls, Thai rolls was good, I was so happy to be there at first. However, the service was awful, the man who wears green shirt and glasses was so mean to us. He treats customers differently. When we order the food, he was so angry and impatient. He even forgot some of our order. For other customers, he seems like a funny guy. We left with disappointed...

Visited on two occasions while on business trips to Oceanside. I intend on visiting again in the future. Not the BEST pho in the world, but certainly consider it to be tasty, and worth what you pay for. Got a large bowl pictured for less than $10. Service is fast and seems authentic. Restaurant has sufficient parking and tvs. You can eat at the bar or at a table. Funny thing is that on both trips a few months apart I saw the same family dining the restaurant at the same table. I was also seated at the same booth on both trips. This tells me that the customers come back. I know I will.

Ate here lastnite and it was just ok. The calamaris crust is VERY hard and the meat inside is very chewy. Had the pork chop plate it was very tasty. Pork chop was cooked well and you could taste the marinade. Also had the egg rolls and those were pretty good. We were just passing thru so I dont see us eating here again.

I got the house special and regret it ! All of my meat was chewy and tasted old to the point where I spit it all out. The meat tasted like it sat out all day. Fast service with a smile. We were seated immediately. We loved the shrimp Spring Rolls as a starter! I had the grilled shrimp bun and my husband, the spicy chicken fried rice. Everything was 5 star tasty!Although this restaurant specializes in PHO, there are plenty of other menu items to choose from.This is not a fancy place, but its family friendly and the staff was wonderful.Take out is also available! Parking is right in front. This is a strip mall location at the corner of Oceanside and Coast Hwy.

We have always enjoyed the food at this place and were regulars but service and food have come far down from what they used to be during recent visits. The pho tastes different and the Thai boba tea was watered down with a skimpy amount of whipped topping that looked flat. Communication is a real issue with some of the staff who dont tune into to the needs of their customers. The ambiance is as gone as the old owners, especially with the murals gone and now having to listen to childrens cartoons from on one of the TV sets. People who dine out want to unwind but having to listen to ADD-induced childrens cartoons soundly (and obnoxiously) defeats that purpose.

My wife and I both had the small Chicken Pho and it was very good. The size was just right for me and a bit too much for my wife. The only complaint I had with this place is that, right on the wall over our heads, they had a TV on with OAN on it. If these guys want to watch fascist propaganda at home, that is their problem. In a public restaurant, it is disgusting.

Where do I even begin...the server stared us down while we were parking just to make sure we were eating at the restaurant. Service was HORRIBLE. The dude legit threw forks, spoons, and straws at us. Could barely order because he just wanted to walk away every time I tried to order something. Tables were dirty and sticky. Flies everywhere. Pho was unseasoned.We came because we saw the many good reviews but boy were we wrong. Maybe we came at the wrong time but after this experience, I would not want to come back.

We have ordered take-out from here multiple times since the COVID crisis began and will totally continue to do so. The owner and person that works the front of the house is so incredibly kind, helpful, and funny. Pho Oceanside gets 5 stars because they have the whole package, price, overall quality, and service. North County is home to many pho restaurants but few are this great of a value. Their sandwiches are awesome, fresh springs rolls are tasty (although I suspect they may have less shrimp in them than they did before when they were constantly packed), and the pho is delicious. Tastes just like you would have at a place up in Westminster.

I found this place passing by I love pho and they have so many good things on their menu and great service. The head lady (boss) ready to jump in if theres a problem. Very decent Vietnamese restaurant here in Oceanside. The raw beef Pho was very delicious (although nothing compares to my own 12 hour recipe). I would love to return here again and try something else (perhaps the tripe or a noodle dish). The large size Pho is exactly that: Large. Too large for this single diner, and not a dish that is economical to take home in a doggy bag. I would go with the regular size unless you are extremely hungry and love rice noodles (lots of noodles in the Pho). The only downfall was the service. Not horrible, but not attentive either. We had to ask multiple times for napkins, silverware, etc. Not unfriendly but also not friendly/inviting by any means. Fix the service and this place would be 5 star.

Love this place! I get the chicken pho with zatei sauce ( hot sauce). My lips are on fire afterwards, but I love it!!!!! Lol. Their egg rolls are so freaking good! My wife and I love this place. We have been regulars here for years. Weve eaten at other pho places but this is our favorite. Their house special large pho bowl (P1) with all the cuts of meat is excellent and fills me up, and I have a big appetite. My wife likes the meatballs (P15). We also get the combo appetizer (A1) which has a couple egg rolls and spring rolls, which takes the edge off our hunger until the pho arrives.

This restaurant is the best Vietnamese in the area. The grilled chicken in the Bun (rice vermicelli noodles) and Rice Plates is simply *stunning* -- the best!! The phở is not greasy like at a lot of other restaurants -- my wife likes the traditional beef version but loves the chicken. The service is friendly and quick. And the place is clean. Absolutely our favorite in Oceanside. And did I say that its the best? It is.

Very horrendous service and food !! Me and my fiancé came in to eat here and immediately got discriminated and named called ! Did not expect that from this place. And the food gave me and my fiancé food poisoning! Please don’t eat at this restaurant unless you want to get discriminated and have a near death experience. Very good tasting food.I usually order the spring rolls and egg rolls and they are one of the best i have tasted.The PHO they have is very tasty and i would recommend it everyone.Most waiters are good except for thier lack of English for communication.But the foodbis great and always seem to have a table available because its a prettu big place. Oh and are very fast in getting you the food so if your in a hurry and want good and fast Vietnamese food this is the place.

When our order came out our stir fry had a hair. Our chicken apetiser had a hair in it. Then to top it off we were almost done and my son found another hair on the same dish they already replaced. We are broken because we come here at least once a month, but now we will have to find a different place. People please watch out. Management cared only with the first hair found.

I won’t be back here. Why? I walked in at 11:15 and was told to leave because they open at 11:30. I asked to use the restroom and they told me I couldn’t do that either and asked me to leave. Rude much? If you don’t want guests to walk in prior to opening then don’t have your doors wide open. Also, who opens for lunch at 11:30 anyway? That’s too bad because I was a regular dinner customer there and I liked the food. Customer service goes a long way with me and I won’t be back.🤬

Pho (P2) small bowl was packed with meat and noodles. The flavor was perfect. Didn’t need to add hoisin. The grilled pork bahn mi sandwich was full of flavor. The pork egg roll was flavored just right. Tear some mint leaves into the dipping sauce and it’s a whole new dimension of enhanced flavors.

Things I look for in a good pho spot.Broth must be rich, I’ve had dark and light with equal flavor. Noodles need not be bricked at bottom. Broth must not be murky from the parboil. Don’t overload the garnish of onions to overpower the herbal essence of the broth. Must use thai purple basil. Must offering add ons as I prefer tripe to tendon personally. Spring rolls dipping sauce must have fish sauce in it that you can taste, egg rolls dipping sauce, but have fish sauce you can taste. Must also offer real chili as well as sriracha. Must have lettuce to wrap the hot egg rolls in. Must offer bun bo hue as a pho alternative soup and that must be super rich with pork knuckle. Chicken pho must taste the ginger to remove the gamey taste and be more herbal than beef pho to the nose. No thumb in bowl delivery. Sorry I’m so picky, but as you can see I’m spoiled working near Garden Grove/Westminster where many places hit all my checklist.I always liked Mr. Pho’s broth and usually preferred Yummy’s overall menu, but they have declined (that reminds me I should probably downgrade them). I do like bun bo hue at House as many places don’t have it. I love don’t hit enough of my checklist for consistent eating and with Teri’s right there I rarely don’t eat at Teri’s when in the area. Pho ever has the best overall pho, but lacks other items. They use filet which I like. Oceanside is open late and has some excellent other menu items.It’s clean, it’s modern, they get the spoons right. Proper noodles in the soups and vermicelli dishes, proper rice (not as broken, but not a real preference). Their marinated meats (Pork) are excellent and they accommodate my fried egg needs (put that on everything if I could). Service needs improvement. For being so modern they should be more efficient. Price is decent, but if you’re a big eater (large combo, egg and spring rolls) along with a rice dish split with egg on top. It gets pricy. It’s not their fault I eat like a family of 3. They offer lots of rice for their items. Dressings were boring. Egg rolls are very good, spring rolls are no brodard’s, but still good. They go overboard on the green onion garnish. I have this feeling that people eat their pho way to basic and unustomized and that’s why they don’t like pho as much as they should. I’m a little traditional in the amount of fish sauce I need for rice dishes and rolls. I use very little sriracha as the sugar unbalances the broth, but I use real chili’s. The spring rolls are pretty tight and when they get your order right it’s good. They do not skimp on the seafood for the rice places or pho. The drinks are modern and refreshing though I would have preferred a traditional self pour (unleash if you will) Vietnamese coffee. I dig the logo. Wish they offering porridge, blood cubes and more not so “westernized” offerings. Feel unsatisfied without desserts and where are the meatballs. Can someone please do bo ne in San Diego too. Bathroom could feel less stark, less In N out and more Japanese restaurant (usually keep the bathroom well away from the eating area)I love the approach of a modern design, modern looking menu, unintimidating menu of simplicity. Fresh ingredients. It’s a place that will enter my rotation of pho in North County more on the overall side than specialty dish side.

2017: My bf and I had stomach problems after having pho and noodles. Will not return.2020 update: The cashier/server does not wear a mask over the nose/mouth- he has it tucked under the chin as he talks and rings you up. Same hands touched my credit cards, my pre-ordered food as he handed to me and the common pen to sign the check. And the person making drinks and boba tea also has the mask tucked under his chin when he makes those drinks. But when he passed me the drink he wore it properly. Then with the same hands, pulled the mask down after.

We have eaten bahn mi sandwiches and pho all over the us. The sandwich is lacking the crusty bread and the vinegaret marrinated carrots and cucumbers. The pork has an off flavor and is loaded with MSG.The large pho is only a normal pho in most Vietnamese restaurants. The broth is watery and underdeveloped. I am completelry disappointed. When you claim to have the best pho it should at least be good.

North County has very few options for Vietnamese food compared to southern San Diego County. luckily Pho Oceanside opened up about a year ago and fits the bill for a good Vietnamese option up here in Oceanside. Nothing mind-blowing just a nice clean restaurant with friendly service, and tasty food. I had the Goi cuon – Vietnamese fresh spring rolls and the Bun Thit Nuong – Pork with Vermacelli noodles. Way too much food by the way. I didn’t even come close to finishing it but I left content.
