The broth was good as well as the spring rolls. Staff was nice and was not busy during lunch time on a Saturday. I did feel the bowl was small and there was not enough noodles. Definitely left hungry after the pho and spring rolls. I would definitely recommend for the Alhambra area. I can see it getting very busy for dinner.
A new Vietnamese food addition to the food street on Main Street in Alhambra. It was very convenient to park indoor behind the restaurant.The decor of the restaurant is very modern with industrial feel. the ordering menu is very refreshing as well. Dishes are arranged in types of food group. For pho, there are several popular items such beef combo, ribeye beef, oxtail and more. for rice lovers, BBQ pork and beefs are the most ordered dishes.Since this was our first time here, we wanted to try something different from the normal Vietnamese food. We got oxtail pho and burnt end BbQ pork bun.The oxtail pho came in two separate bowls with oxtail and soup in one and the pho noodle and soup in another. There meat on the oxtails were very tender and flavorful. The pho soup was quite good and authentic. Although the noodle seemed to be made from dry noodles, the over all pho experience was not too bad.The Bun salad was a bit ordinary and nothing to write home about. the BBQ porks that came with the dish was not too flavorful and not inspiring.Overall, this is a decent Vietnamese restaurant and a good alternative to Golden Deli down the street.
Delicious pho broth! Oxtail pho came with two large oxtail bones, enough meat to feed two! The charbroiled pork spring roll was great too with the freshest vegetables and steaming, flavorful meat. It came with some kind of warm crab sauce (I think) which I’ve never had before. Great food for the value!!
I love this place so much. Theyve parking in rear which is a plus. The lady owner always smile and welcoming the customers. Nice tasty Pho broth with lots of meats for the good prices. Theyve variety of Viet food like Com tam, Hu tieu, Bo ne...so come to try.
Really nice spot. Plenty of options to choose from so can’t really go wrong. Flavorful broth and tender prime rib cut in the pho. Vietnamese coffee was a nice to go treat as well.
So far, a lot of the pricing for a bowl of pho and cup of ice coffee ranges around 15.00-20.00 per person. Its just a matter of taste, quality, and location at this point. Pho Saigon Pasteur is located on Main street across from Mancora and 85degrees bakery. The only pho joint close to Pho Saigon Pasteur would be the one on Main and Garfield which Ive tried many times as well; and as much as I want to give it a great rating I just cant due to its previous wonderful heydays then vs now (thats another story). Anyhow, food at Pho Saigon Pasteur is high quality. The choice meats are in my opinion a higher grade than other restaurants Ive been to and pay more. For example, their beef balls seem to be fresh made as from I can see the way the meat was minced and push squeezed swirled is a give away that its handmade vs the premade type where its more chewy and has a uniformed consistancy. They have options like extra pho noodles and meat. There is no xe lûa here which is fine. The customer service is nice as well. Its a nice simple design withany other food options like broken rice and dry noodles. Out of 5 stars I give it 10 galaxies.Update 12/7/22. The food is still good. The service was a bit of a miss. They forgot my coffee and a water. The atmosphere gave me some off vibes; feels like clientele. Other than that its still ok 👌
There’s limited seating inside the restaurant and it was relatively busy on a Saturday night. As soon as they saw us, we were acknowledged immediately by the staff and were asked if dining outside was ok. We decided to eat outside since we were really hungry. Service was so quick. They took our order and our food came out within 10-15 minutes.Despite it being a little chilly outside, the hot pho warmed my soul. The pho dac biet was absolutely delicious, I scarfed the whole meal down.
I am so glad I was able to try this new place with friends two weeks ago on a Friday evening. My boyfriend and I chose create your own beef noodle soup (pho) option with eye round steak, brisket and tendon. We got extra noodles since we were sharing one bowl of soup. The extra noodles came with some broth so I appreciate that. The broth was delicious and authentic. You can pick up to 3 meat options for create your own pho item. We also tried their egg rolls and spring rolls. They were also delicious. I would like to come back and try more items. 😊😍😋
This place has some really good pho.We got the chicken pho. Filet mignon pho and a regular pho.Everything was pretty tasty. The service was fine.There’s a structure for parking.Overall. Might return for pho when in the area.
Two words, Luke warm. Everything that I order here was luke warm at best. Egg rolls? Semi warm, combination pho? Warm again... The kicker was the sizzling hot plate. Did it sizzle? More like fizzle. Ever had a puddle of gravy on a hot plate that just look like a puddle? Yeah, thats what I had. Pretty disappointing for sure, oh but wait theres more. I got some reheated baguette that came with the puddle too. How I know it was reheated over night bread? Cause it was soggly and wet as if someone was bright enough to dip them in water and pop it in an toaster oven. The top of the bread was dry, but every thing else was mush. Just imagine that guys that stuff hot dog down their throat by dunking them into water first, yeah its kinda like that. Sad...
My favorite Vietnamese restaurant! I’ve been coming here for about 6 months and they always serve the best broth. My go to menu is the pho with ribs, they are so tender and huge. I never finish the meal so I try to bring a box for to go. good for next day lunch!Their egg rolls are so crunch, juicy, and filling. Try them with the lettuce which is serving with, and dip the rolls in the fish sauce! Yum!

I usually go get my Pho down the street from this location. I had no other choice since the location I go all the time was close today. Well, this place seems convinced because of the reviews. I ordered 3phos and 1 lemon iced tea 1 strawberry iced tea. Tbh the drinks taste like powder mix drinks with water they taste old and really disgusting. My wife didnt drink hers it was the strawberry ice tea. I dont blame her. It tastes old and made out of powder. My drink was the ice lemon, and it was nasty as well. The pho taste it nasty no flavor and did not taste like pho the meat was disgusting only fat on meat not lots of meat. For all 3 phos I got flank, round eye and brisket. At the end I got 3 phos 2 drinks and 1 order of tofu veggie rolls thetofu was hard. End it up paying 67 dollars to much money and cheap quality food. Save your money and go to Saigon eaten taste better and more authentic.

You know the food is bomb if my kids are digging in.The shabu pho is sooo good. The meat is thin and tender. I love that you can cook it in a separate mini pot so that your broth doesn’t get cloudy. The presentation is also fun and novel. The quality is amazing. The broth is flavorful yet light. The interior feels modern, clean, and bright. Service is so helpful and warm.Definitely recommend and will be back!
Love their pho filet, pho ribeye shabu style and Bo Ne on cast iron, too bad they didnt have pate, I brought my own french pate 😄. Tried their Ox Tail today, tender and delicious.
I wanted to like their pho tai, but it just tasted overly salty with minimal flavor. The pork chop rice was decent as was the ice coffee.
Solid pho. The broth was good. Priced a littlle steeper than some of the other pho shops.

This is my first time coming to this restaurant. My experience is mostly positive. I was taken back by one server and that might due to the language barrier. The food and atmosphere are good.

Nice ambience, good food and excellent customer service provided by the dedicated owner and her crew! We had pho dat biec (combination pho), add-on sides ox tail and beef ribs. The add-on portions were generous and came with their own bowl of soup. Meats quality was very good. The egg rolls were just like other reviews said - crispy and delicious! Charges were decent/aligning with the quality of the food. We had leftovers and took home to enjoy later. I will definitely come back on regular basis.

Been here twice before my recent visit and both times were great. The broth I was very flavorful and the meat was great. This time around it was pretty disappointing. Everything just tasted bland. For $16 I wouldnt risk coming back. Not any time soon.

This place let me down. They used to have really genuinely good broth without the MSG heaviness now they just upped the noodle portion but started cheaping out on the broth. Pretty disappointing.
Good, but not spectacular pho here. The soup base is a bit on the mild/sweet side, though this is obviously personal preference. The real stand out on the menu is the make youre own pho -- you get the standard soup base, noodles and veggie, but get to pick 3 types of protein from a list of almost 20. I went with brisket, tripe, and beef balls. Its a good deal.Service is pretty good, its also got both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is in the back and on side streets. Worth a try if you are in the area, though this is the 3rd pho shop in a 10 block area so well see how they do.
Pretty good! The oxtail pho is generous! Comes in 2 bowls and oxtail is submerged in broth. It was enough to take home abs add noodles for another meal.ALSO THEY USE THE GOOD HOISIN, not the cheap, sweet Lee Kum Kee junk.

Friendly staff, popular location with a bit of a wait at peak hours but well worth it. Quick service. The spring rolls were refreshing and the peanut sauce was very tasty. The pho had a rich, hearty broth with well cooked noodles and tender meat. Highly recommend!

Both were delicious and the service was great. Will probably come here again as they are one of the few places on the street with outdoor seating.

I love how this place is not heavily based on MSG so you dont feel so thirsty after and you get to enjoy the actual soup base. In addition, the older lady working the cash register was super nice and friendly! Great food and great service!! Definitely coming back here.

I ordered the brisket Pho with fresh (thicker noodles - you would have to request this).The key ingredient, the broth was amazing. You can tell when MSG is added for flavor when the broth is cloudy. As you can see from the pic, this broth was clear which means little to no MSG and only the key ingredients to make an incredible broth.The brisket and noodles were generous with just the right amount of broth.While there are many Pho shops there are very few it any that match this quality in presentation, taste and serving size. This is my favorite Pho spot. Even compared to Pho spots in OC we can’t think of a place better than this.We drove 35 minutes to get here and will gladly come back.

The new nuong rolls with the nha trang sauce was simply delicious and the egg rolls are very yummy. Service was great and staff was very friendly. Well definitely be back again.

Despite the upgrade the prices are same as the rest of other places.Pho was good, a friend ordered an oxtail to go with his pho (not on menu so ask).Spring and summer rolls with the sauces are good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely come back to try other plates.
