We ordered rare beef pho.- Healthy pho because of all various ingredients including cartilage and veggies.- They should serve chili oil with the pho because after I requested it, the taste of their pho was significantly better.

Food was amazing. Friendly service. Im from Hawaii and have tried great Vietnamese, Thai, and Korean BBQ and I must say their beef and pork was amazing! Had the beef and pork vermicelli. Eggrolls and spring rolls were great. Ingredients tasted very fresh. Nothing was too greasy or overcooked or chewy. We will definitely return.

Super friendly service from everyone. They are quick to get you service and bring you your meal. I have ate here a couple times and never had a bad experience. All there meals are delicious. I usually go for the eggrolls and pho. The strawberry smoothie is delicious as well.

Best pho food we have every tasted. The service is really good always very nice and they are family owned so it always great to support them whenever we can. The atmosphere is very cozy we like to eat outside but it’s aways a treat to be here. 😁

This phở is the best. The steak is lean, the broth is delicious, the noodles are perfect, the veggies, herbs, and lime are super fresh, the staff/owners are really friendly, and the selection of sauces is extensive. The atmosphere is very “mom and pop” and a hole-in-the-wall in the very best way (only locals will know about it).Try this phở! You won’t regret it.

We had chicken and beef Phos. The pho broth was really good. Havent had a great tasting Pho in a while but their Pho was so tasty. The egg rolls were great sizes and tasty.Will be back again.

Wanted Vietnamese food while in Chula Vista but wasnt sure where to go. Pho Nhu Y has pretty high overall rating, so decided to check them out.Its a small sit-down place, and there is a constant flow of customers so thats usually a good sign. My family had various pho dishes and I had a bun dish. Also had a spring roll appetizer. Everything was tasty. Service was also good and attentive.Recommended!

This place used to be my go-to spot for pho until today. After eating, I saw something black floating in my broth. I pulled it out and sure enough, it had wings & legs. I found a DEAD FLY in my pho! When I showed the waiter, he said oh yeah...sorry and still charged full price for it. Im so disgusted at their food & service, I will never come here again. Im sick to my stomach🤮Dont come here unless you want to pay to eat a dead bug!

Small place that packs a big punch! The Pho was delicious and the servers were great! I like the Christmas decorations and the pictures of food on their walls. It made me want to order everything I was looking at. The the egg rolls came out fast and piping hot! We had to wait 10 minutes before they were cool enough to eat! The Pho broth was really flavorful. I got the Brisket and rare meat bowl and the small bowl was still a Great Portion of food. I was stuffed by the end of the meal. I will definitely be going back soon!

The shrimp pho was super tasty, delicious, PLENTY of shrimp and for the price… YESSS. -My bf😭 The tofu bahn mi was also really yummy and I wanted to eat it Pac-Man style..🤤 tbh, it was a better vegetarian alternative than the sandwich place next door.No pics because we devoured everything. Pho broth was was very tasty; not too salty and not oily at all. The bean sprouts, basil, peppers and limes were freshly cut and plentiful. Also ordered pork spring rolls which were delicious and contained plenty of meat. We were waited on immediately and the service was personable and efficient.

I eat here regularly. It is a great small mom and pop restaurant that serves Vietnamese food familiar to those of us from the southern half of Vietnam, like near Saigon. It is family owned like most Vietnamese places. The prices are good and in line with other Vietnamese restaurants in the county. The only downside is that they are not open on Sunday but that is a minor inconvenience.

We have picked up dinner many times and the food and service have been great. They have thanked me each time for ordering from them and it seems to be a nice family ran restaurant.Our favorite is the bun (pork, chicken, beef, veggie…all are great). If you like rice noodles, like salad and grilled meat this is the dish for you.

Great place. Owners are new...very friendly!!We had the spring roll appys and rare steak pho. Food was served very quickly and we were brought all the seasonings, sauces and veggie add ins.It was really good. The large bowl is huge. They just took over from the previous restaurant. i was a regular of the previous restaurant and will continue as a regular customer with the new owners. both my visits so far did not disappoint. the food was prepared exactly to my liking. the customer service was excellent. the place was very clean. been eating Vietnamese for over 20 years and have tried over 20 places in San Diego. this will be one of my regular eating spots.

I had the worst banh mi sandwich at this restaurant. I would not recommend it at all. The French roll was so stale and moldy. The pork and veggies did not taste fresh. The boba drink was not delicious and rather sad.I think they are really trying to stretch what they have in the kitchen and not spend money on new and fresh food because of the pandemic must have slowed business. However, this comprises the quality and taste of food. Also, I would hate for anyone to get sick because they decided to use old food.

This little place is GREAT! Great food and very friendly service! Weve tried a number of dishes now and they have all been very good. Fresh and flavorful. In addition to the hot dishes they have a very large delicious of cold shakes like Vietnamese coffee, Thai iced tea and a large selection of fruit smoothies.

Now called Pho Viet Noodle. My husband and I loved the Pho here. Broth was incredibly flavorful with the inclusion of onions, green onions, and cilantro. I had the well-done steak Pho and it was perfect! Tender, mostly lean meat. Husband had the meatball Pho and loved it just as much. …and at $10 for a large bowl (that neither of us could finish), it was a great deal. We also got the fried dumplings which were fine but nothing remarkable. We loved the Pho enough to visit again before leaving SoCal! Highly recommend this small, unassuming shop!

Ive tried different Pho restaurants here in Chula Vista, but, this one takes the win. The PHO is sooooo good, they give you extra limes and jalapeños if you ask for it and the flavor of the brooth is on point. Excellent customer service. Family owned ! Highly recommend 😊

The absolute best tasting Pho is all of San Diego! The place is very clean and organized, the menu is great, the prices are GREAT and the staff is super friendly. We go all the time. The portions are large for the price, and everything always tastes amazing!

There has been a change of management here. I was questioning going again due to my poor experience with the previous management but pho Hung Cali raised their prices and I decided to give this a try again since their prices seem reasonable and I was curious about what changed.The pho was the most distinct change, It was a great positive change. This is the spot for the best pho in Chula Vista. Ive gone to them all here in this area but this is where I return. Great prices, everything is good. Favorite is well done steak pho and egg rolls. Awesome hot bowl of pho when I needed it the most! Excellent flavor and tons of fresh ingredients! Plus I got myself a side of avocado smoothie and delicious spring rolls! Would definitely visit again soon!

I made my decision to visit Pho Nhu Y based on the 5 star Google ratings and I wasnt disappointed. Ive enjoyed Pho in cities across the US. Ive lived in St. Louis, Las Vegas, Seattle and Portland and this is without a doubt, the best Pho Ive ever had. The portion sizes, taste, and freshness combined with an incredibly kind and efficient staff made for a very pleasant evening meal.

If your here for take out, dont do it. I am a pho fanatic, I used to live in an area with a lot of great pho places so maybe Im spoiled. When we came in the staff was confused, not helpful, and they only accepted cash. Not to mention that we requested extra limes and they gave us one single lime. It felt lacking in flavor, perhaps because there was no lime lol. I was craving pho for the longest time and they did not hit the spot. Gotta say, pho ca dao beat my expectations after that mishap. Perhaps pho nhu is better dining in, or other items, or even if they just had a bad day - but they didnt leave the greatest impression on us and I try not to leave bad reviews but wanted to save you on the pain. If its close by and you dont want to drive, why not. Otherwise I recommend else where to crave that pho itch you have.

I found this place by Google search and its right down the street from my house. Well the heaves have opened their gates for me because I love vegetable Pho Soup (w/o Tofu) and this place beats all other pho soup I tried. And their egg rolls are so good too. I hope the quality of their food and service remains high quality because now and days as soon as resturants build clientele the food quality goes down.Update: 2 years later and they still have the best quality Pho Soup. My all time order is beef both vegetable Pho soup with an order of their yummy egg-rolls.

Everytime Ive dined at this restaurant I have been recieved with genuine smiles and a friendly greeting. I believe it is a family operated joint, a MomnPop if you will; the atmosphere is pleasant and it is heartwarming to see the family interact and run the business together.On hot days, I like stopping over at Pho Nhu Y to cool down with one of their many fruit smoothies. My favorites being the guanabana a.k.a sour sop and the fresh coconut; they have a great variety of fruits that can be difficult to find elsewhere. After working out, I like ordering their flavorful chicken salad made up of: sliced cabbage and carrots, shredded white chicken, mint, and crushed peanuts. Its a great option to get my post-workout protein.

I was jumping around between 2 other pho restaurants depending which one was closer, until I tried this place. I will not try another place when I want local pho.
