Pho Vinh Vietnamese Restaurant in San Carlos

We came in today, and there were no customers. Worry not, there were no customers in other restaurants next door. We suspected that people have gone on a long holidays for 4th of July.Because there were no customers, our food came out quick. We ordered 1 pho tai gan, 1 bun bo hue and 1 iced soy milk. They are all really good. Sadly, I didn’t take a picture of my husband’s dish and the soy milk. Today is very hot, so the iced soy milk felt like a godsend at that moment 😂The staff are very friendly. Whenever I turned around to ask for something, they are always ready and ask what I needed.

We had the vegetarian pho, veggie spring roll & egg roll with side of white rice. It was very good specifically after a night of drinking. The broth is amazingly good.

Some of the best pho & summer rolls Ive had in my life. Delicious!On top of that, this is the only shop I could find in a drivable distance that doesnt put MSG in their food. All around class act. Love it.

Not bad, but not particularly good either. I spent $20 for what felt like an average bowl of Pho. Likely won’t go again. The Mexican place next door (El Maguey), on the other hand, is excellent. That is my lived experience.

I don’t know about the food but I wouldn’t recommend the Vietnamese coffee.I got it to go and there were some things that I was really unhappy about - they didn’t accept card and only cash, and when I gave them a crisp $20 bill they gave me back torn $1 bills and the rude cashier wouldn’t even replace it when I asked her to. I’m face she started patronising me in her broken English that this is how things in US work (she probably thought she could do that because of the color of my skin).Next the coffee here is way more expensive than how it is in other places. It was $7 and there was less than 6oz of coffee. When I pointed that out she said that she’ll add more ice to it. (Ok Starbucks)Lastly the coffee taste was also very bland, I know cause I always get Vietnamese coffee and it’s supposed to be way more intense and not like an iced Americano.

The noodle soup is delicious! But there are flies flying around in the restaurant! Im a little worried about hygiene and look forward to improving the sanitation. The female boss is kind and polite.

We came in as the kitchen was closing, but they still let us make a to go order. The pho was fantastic, and the shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce were also incredible! Owners were very kind. Highly recommend this restaurant!!

Without a doubt one of the best bowls of pho I’ve ever had! The broth is delicious, meat was tender & rice noodles were perfect. Staff is very polite & provided excellent service. Important to note that parking is limited & difficult to get into, but so worth it.

Love my Chicken Pho & fresh shrimp roll! Super casual small family place. No need for a long menu, better to concentrate on several very good items! Quality over quantity with great food. Keep rocking it Pho Vinh!💛

Been here 5 times this week. Such a great spot. Pho is delicious. There’s one fish in their tank that swims upside down and it’s the best unexpected entertainment. The woman who works there is a delight too.
