I ordered takeout thru uber and the food was great! We had the coconut mango rolls which are 10/10, very great and fresh flavor and bigger portion than I expected. Definitely recommend.We also had the shrimp egg rolls which were nice and crispy and were loaded with delicious shrimp that was not overcooked. Will be ordering this again next time.The young chow fried rice with Chinese sausage, eggs, and green onions did not disappoint. It was a nice big portion (it fed me, my boyfriend, and toddler). The only small downside is that is was a bit oily, but I recommend trying this dish.The stir fry noodles with beef brisket had good flavor and plenty of meat. The meat tasted fresh and soft.Lastly, the braised beef stew noodle soup was the greatest dish we got from here. The broth has a hint of ginger and comes with bokchoy and the beef which were cooked to perfection. It tasted very fresh and authentic. I definitely recommend this dish if it is your first time.

Parking can be a little crazy depending on the time but for the most part, I can always find a spot.Coming in at night, it can be easy to miss the entrance so look carefully!I recommend using cash because I got double charged one time for someone else’s order. They ended up refunding me but I could have easily missed that on my credit card statement.I looooove Phoenix’s mango desserts! Absolutely the best!! From their silken mango tapioca with condensed milk to their mango tapioca drink and their mango tofu 🤤🤤🤤🤤 absolutely the best!!I always make the mistake of thinking the tofu’s in their little fridge is already flavored but they label it to show you what they can flavor it as.For instance, I wanted the mango tapioca with condensed milk tofu and she told me to grab the silken tofu with ginger. She clarified to me that it does not have the ginger taste (I don’t like ginger) and sure enough, she flavored it with everything I wanted so it was delicious!!!Their black sesame tofu is also super delicious😋😋As you can tell, I only come here for dessert. I have tried the food and it’s okay. But their desserts are phenomenal!!!!

Great for a quick bite to eat or ordering to go/delivery. The seating might be a little cramped, but there is seating on the patio. I often stop in to eat and take out when I work in the area. Whether you’re looking for a cold drink, snack, meal or family style orders...this place doesn’t disappoint.

Very disappointed with this place. They increase the price of their desserts, yet they cut costs by giving less than they are supposed to. There are still plenty of space left in the cup when they scoop the black sesame and red bean & lotus seed. And I have pictures to prove it. For sure will not come back to this place.

Ive come here on and off for the last 20-ish years and the one thing you can count on is consistency. The food has been reliably consistent over the years even with some menu changes. The prices have spiked considerably recently, but part of that is just the economy. Dishes like Hainan Chicken and Sliced BBQ Beef have been solid staples. Phoenix Food Boutique locations are known for their desserts as well, and they are good. They have puddings, mochi, custards, etc. from your typical fruit flavors, red bean, and green tea all the way out to durian and ube.

I got the walnut shrimp and it was good.This place is a hole in the wall. There is outside seating. Just under $13 for my dish. It came with steamed rice and a ton of shrimp which I was pleasantly surprised about. For a quick takeout this is a good choice.

The attitude of the staff is very bad. After ordering and waiting for half an hour, the food has not been served yet, but the other people who have just come in have already eaten or even finished their food. If you ask them, just say that it is not ready and leave us alone. Do not go to this restaurant .

Amazing little GEM in South Pasadena. Great Asian Cuisine selection. Price points are just right and the portions are well served. Service is quick. Place is clean, with indoor and outdoor patio seating available. Quickly becoming my favorite spot.

Love this place! My go-to for amazing authentic Chinese Cantonese food, home-tasting soup, and yummy dessert. Mixed fruit tapioca drink is definitely one of my favorites! People there are very friendly as well esp. the one on Fair Oaks in South Pasadena.

This place has some of the highest hits and some misses. Standouts like the mango rolls (i never leave without an order) and the BBQ pork fried rice are things i crave.However specifically with noodle dishes i felt myself wanting a little more out of it

Nice new discovery for gelato cakes. I was with my nephew and niece to check it out after my older sisters recommendation. Its not on the sweet side so people with sugar concerns may as well try it out. You wont be sorry for taking a bite. Its good, affordably economical and worth your while.

Ordered the Laksa Seafood Soup Noddles. Disappointed. Not like what shown in picture. No deep fried hard boiled egg as shown. Only 4 small pieces of shrimp and a few strips of white chicken meat. Should not be called seafood noodles. Laksa soup tastes bland. Very displeased.Braised beef noodle soup is not bad.

It is a convenient location for decent Hong Kong style Chinese food. Sometimes I just dont feel like driving to Alhambra. Food is decent but inconsistent. Same dish can be bland one week and good next week. I guess it really depends on who happens to be in the kitchen. It is more or less a fast food place. I dont go there for service. They take my order, they deliver it accurately, I am happy.

The lady at the cashier had such a bad attitude. I asked for an add-on of boba to my drink, and she asked me to repeat myself multiple times (not just 2 or 3 times, like legit almost 10 times), even though I spoke clearly and loudly, and it was literally just milk tea with a boba add-on. She gossipped to the other worker that I was ordering weird multiple times for choosing add-ons. And then she had the other lady take my order instead. Literally why is she even working here if she didnt know the menu??? Why even bother offering add-ons in the menu???This wasnt the first time that the workers here were super rude. In the previous times that I came here, they would literally have such bad atttitude to everyone. I normally dont bother leaving a bad review because maybe it was just a one time thing, but after coming here multiple times, I realized that this resturant is so disfunctional. The food is never fresh, not even warm, too oily and salty, they always get your order wrong, and have horrible attitude.

They serve the more authentic Chinese food versus the Americanized Chinese food. I really like the variety on the menu, but the only thing that I have really ordered from here is the Hainan chicken. It is okay, but nothing to write home to Hainan about. They have a small sit down area which they try to treat like a restaurant, but really they should just treat this as a take out place.

It has been a few years since I ate here. Very disappointed. For less money I get better food and a larger portion at other asian restaurants.I found pieces of small sharp plastic shaving in the tea fruit drink. I hope I did not swallow any.Disappointed with this visit.

I had the delicious Tangerine Chicken and Buddhist Feast. The white rice was sticky and yummy. Will continue to visit this restaurant chain for their authentic Chinese cuisine. I recommend it 100%

Great chinese food served here. Service: just ok but thats typical of chinese restaurants. I think the food is pretty good. The one issue with this place is that its small and there is not much room for seating. They do a lot in takeout orders, however, dining in is the way to go, the portions are much bigger. But again, I dont need it more crowded so if service is important to you then you might be more comfortable at panda express for your chinese food but for me Im coming here as its the best chinese in the area.

Not only is the food great tasting the ladies who take and complete our orders are quick, helpful and pleasant. It’s not our top pick for dine in due to the space but it’s the best Phoenix when it comes to taste and service.

Honestly if you live in the South Pasadena area near Old Town this is probably the best fast food Chinese restaurant on Fair Oaks Avenue you dont have to go to Alhambra Monterey Park this place will suffice for all your Chinese Fast Food

We eat here regularly for over 15 years. Great Chinese food. Great service from the same manager whom have worked here since it opened. How lucky we are have this restaurant in our neighborhood.

The woman couldnt speak English and couldnt explain ingredients at all. I asked if white meat chicken was available, she says no bones. She needs to learn how to communicate. I wont go here ever again. The cook was standing outside smoking as well. Bad sign.

Go there if you want to have massive watery diarrhea and projectile vomiting. After having Kung Pao chicken and shrimp fried rice, we had the runs by the time we got to Pasadena. Get a colon cleanse for $20! Horrible experience!
