Great new Vietnamese place off Gilman and San Pablo. Very beautiful paintings in the shop. Huge portions. Family friendly. Fast service. Pho was delicious, not too hot, and had loads of noodles and savory broth. Major bonus points for using a stoneware bowl and not having the hot soup in a plastic bowls with plastic utensils. Spring rolls are fresh and filling. Bhan mi is exceptional value, huge with loads of toppings, soft bread, and tasty protein. We will absolutely be back!

Ive never been to the original Oakland location. Menu is pretty simple. The quality to price ratio is excellent. Portions are generous and the proteins plentiful and well prepared. Soup base is tasty and not oily. Service is easygoing and friendly, and pretty speedy for a newly opened location. Decoration is ongoing. Parking not very convenient.

Phosho Dough has The tastiest, most affordable Vietnamese food And with Big portions! I normally make the trip into Oakland because their restaurantS have the best food and fun experience but now with this new closer Berkeley location Ill be going a lot more.Their internationally well-known spokesman Rich (a former tuxedo wearing super agent) and All of their friendly, hard-working employees will be happy to give you great food and service for not a lot of money. Just try it once and youll see what I mean.I had this grand plan of catching a Real genie and one of three wishes was going to be many more locations of Phosho Dough and their Amazingly delicious, super friendly service, priced right items, Vietnamese food (that welcomes everyone with a smile) style restaurant!So now that that is off my 3 wishes list, I guess I can use that one wish for world peace or something like that instead.And just in case you think Im making any of this up... Just go eat at either Phosho Dough location and you will also be wishing real hard to eat their delicious food more often.

They just opened!! I love this location as it’s more convenient for me than the Oakland one. There’s plenty of seating, food is great with quality fresh ingredients (bean sprouts are are crispy, beautiful young Thai basil) and the owner is really nice. I highly recommend others to support this small business!We got lemongrass beef pho, shredded chicken pho, and tofu spring rolls. This is my favorite comfort food when I’m too tired to cook.

I havent been to the San Pablo location yet, but I have been fortunate enough to have had a Banh Mi from a catering order picked up from the San Pablo location and let me tell you... PHOSHO DOUGH DOES NOT MISS. Everything I have had from here has been fantastic (Pork Banh Mi ❤️, fried spring rolls wrapped in fresh rolls, pho, pork vermicelli etc.) and I will continue coming to phosho dough on an at least weekly basis for as long as I live in the East Bay. These restaurants are fantastic and everyone who works there is super friendly and driven to deliver the best quality of food possible. Phosho Dough is my favorite spot to eat at and I implore everyone who reads this review to try it out (specifically the pork banh mi-- definitely in my top 5 favorite things to eat EVER). Also shout-out to Richard! He is super friendly and we always look forward to seeing him when we dine in or pick up.

It is a nice surprise to see Phosho Dough in our neighborhood! We used to go to one on Telegraph Ave. Richard is super friendly as always! Please support our neighborhood restaurant!
