The food here is amazing. Felt like being transported to Vietnamese culture!The restaurant service people are humble but when I visited due to many orders they got somewhat confused with so many orders. Amazing pho! The quantity is huge and the pho is really tasty. We asked for extra spice, and the broth was one of the tastiest and flavorful broth ever.Service is really good and quick. Definitely a must try.

Great local pho place to have around. The broth is particularly fatty and beefy here which suits my preference, though some may not like that. I typically like getting pho dac biet (combination), but I also like the dry noodles (I think it’s #27 or 28?). The bun bowls are great as well. Rice plates are good, but they typically leave me wanting.

My friend and I visited this place for lunch on the weekend. It was quite empty, so we were seated right away. The server barely gave us 2 minutes to look at the menu before he started asking us what wed like to order. Otherwise, the service was fine.My friend got their 1A pho, and I got the 1B pho.1A pho was Tái Duôi Bo (Rice Noodle Soup, Rare Steak & Ox Tail)1B pho was Phỏ Bo Filet Mignon (Rice Noodle Soup, Beef Filet Mignon)The broth in both the pho was not as flavorful as we wanted it to be. The rice noodles were all clumped together. The meat was tender but a bit dry. You can pick between two different bowl sizes - regular and large. The price difference between the 2 is only a dollar. Overall, the pho was okay. It was definitely filling.I also tried their Vietnamese coffee. If you dont like the bitterness of the coffee and want more condensed milk, then let them know ahead of time. Their Vietnamese coffee comes in sealed cups (similar to a boba milk tea), so adding condensed milke afterward is hard.

Veggie pho available! Pretty good and the large size is very large. I tried the #32 recently to branch out and its really good as well - the fried tofu, vermicelli noodles, and egg rolls go really well together.

When its a cold winter evening, all you need is a hot bowl of flavorful soup. The Pho here is one of the best I have had. There are not many good options for vegetarians here. But if you are really looking to enjoy a good veggie pho, this place is a must try. Location is great, in heart of lively Mountain View downtown.

Great place to stop for really solid Vietnamese food that is delicious, well-priced, and fast. We had the Pho Dac Biet and a Shredded Pork / Pork Chop with Rice. Both were delicious and well-sized for what you paid, especially in a downtown area. Highly recommend.Its steps off Castro, so its not too busy, which is great. Service is quick. Interior is very basic, but does the job. Great for casual dates where ambiance is not needed or groups of large friends.

Their pho is the nectar of the Gods! Nothing short of amazing.My group of 7 and I all ordered various Phos and you cant go wrong with any! We all almost drained larges, which is a feat of itself.The service was absolutely amazing, our glasses were never empty and our server was very enthusiastic and we could tell that he loves his job, or was having a great day, that energy spreads.You know you are in a great pho place when everyone around you is speaking various Asian languages.

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and have seen the ownership turn over twice now in that time. I’ve always thought it was solid pho with quick service times. I have always like their broth well enough.Came here tonight for the first time in a while and was disappointed in the flavor of the broth. It’s like the new ownership has changed cooks or recipes or something. The broth has the flavor of magi or some other beef bullion-type product, and was missing the sweetness and baking spices it used to have.The kitchen also seemed to take a while to turn the bowl of pho out, which was strange because it was slow.Nothing terrible, but not as good as it used to be. Definitely won’t come back regularly with other options in the area.

Came here at 8pm for takeout on Saturday night. The restaurant was busy, and the food was finally ready to be picked up at 8:25pm. The Canh Ga Chien, fried chicken wings, were good. I had the grilled pork shop rice plate with egg and salad. It tasted pretty good with the fish sauce. I like the portion size.

I’ve always seen this lil pho place in downtown but never tried it. We’ll yesterday was my lucky day. It’s a hole in a wall place, but it’s surprisingly spacious inside. Fast service and delicious pho! Reasonable prices. Would love to visit again!

Thoroughly satisfied my pho cravings. Wednesday night was kinda busy but we still got seated right away. There was definitely a lot of things going on but our server managed to get our order in and pho out in like 10 minutes. The broth was pretty well balanced, with the right amount of savory and sweetness to it. I enjoy my pho broth on the savoury side and thats my personal preference! If you like your pho broth on the sweeter side, come here and try this place out! Friendly service and the food comes out very fast. Also, I like how this pho place is decently priced and the portions big.We got the large Bon Bo Hue and Tai Name Sach - it was good. we look forward to coming back and trying new items on the menu. This is a staple Vietnamese joint for my friends and I! Solid pho for those colder days and the rice dishes are also on point. Gotten a number of meals here and it’s never disappointed! Really not much else to add because it’s that reliable.Parking on side streets or on Castro street parking lots and walk over. You’ll be seated by staff and can go up to the counter after getting your bill to pay. Service is fast and helpful as well.

Ive been wanting to try out Pho To Chau for a while now, and now Im kicking myself for not coming here sooner! Their pho is easily one of the best Ive had in the peninsula so far. Their broth is very rich and flavorful. The noodles were fresh and chewy. Also the temperature was perfect! They currently have outdoor dining with excellent service, so definitely come stop by! Cant wait to come back here!

I have tried many different Pho places and all of them almost have the same type of menu. I’ve been here three times and tried three different things each time, the BBQ pork with rice, the BBQ chicken with rice and the PHO. Each one tasted delicious! This one is located in downtown Mountain View, nice area, pretty busy but there’s a public parking lot! Fast and friendly service and the price is ok a little bit more than $10 a plate. Not bad!

Good hot flavorful pho. We took the number 22 and the Veggie Pho. Both were very good. The regular size is a big portion and would be a lot if you are not very hungry. They also have boba tea. We tried the Strawberry Banana smoothie and Avocado smoothie. Both are good with real fruits.

This restaurant is my favorite pho restaurant in Mountain View. Its no doubt that their raw beef pho is the best in town. However, if you were not a beef lover, then Bun Rieu soup (no.22 on menu) is highly recommended. Which tastes different from other pho soup but a little bit sweet and a little bit sour because of seafood (shrimp, crab paste) and tomato flavor.Fresh spring roll is also good. Rather than the basic ingredient of shrimp, the roll is added grilled pork which gives it more layer of flavor.

I’ve tried dozens of pho places in the Bay Area and this place is better than most! Also, their meats and tendon are better quality than almost all I’ve tried. They are generous with portions as well. Very happy with this place.

How does this place score 4.4 is beyond me. The broth was way salty and filled with MSG - you’d better order a few glasses of water if you’re getting the pho here because you’ll feel dehydrated afterwards. Also, the protein to noodle ratio is almost 1:10. The cuts of beef here are mostly fatty and there isn’t much of it overall. I wouldn’t ever recommend anyone who is looking for pho to go here. Friendly staff, but it’s a shame that the food is a real let down.

Id vote 3.5 if I could as its better than 3-star. Fast service and lots of seating so you can get food quickly. The pho broth tastes fine but is cloudy which is considered inferior to crystal clear broth. The fried egg rolls are stuffed with normal filling and are not the imperial egg rolls you often find at other Vietnamese restaurants; also fine if thats what youre expecting.

Local Pho spot that won’t disappoint. The flavor is always consistent and even with the restaurant being busy you can expect to get your food in 15-20 min (pick up or dining in).I highly recommend getting the chicken sandwich as the bread is soft and the flavor profile is amazing. Neighborhood feel, incredibly nice staff-family who remembers their customers when they leave their belonging or credit card behind. Bring your own wine without corkage fee to spruce up your meal. Bahn mi sandwiches have juicy, seasoned, grilled meat, veggies, cilantro, but consider asking for no pate spread as it tends to overpower. Pho has lighter color broth, sometimes a bit of lingering msg or sugar taste, but it hits the spot. Ask for extra noodles and they are happy to oblige for a couple bucks. Vermicelli bowl is tasty and flavorful! Very casual resto open for late breakfast all day till midnight snack. Large t.v. screen, some art on the walls, quick, simple, and reliable. Dont hesitate to give them your input as they are willing to adjust to your tastes.

I have lived in mountain view for 4 years now and this place has gone worse and and worse. What made me change my 3 star to a 1 star review was that today, they managed to serve a bowl of pho with literally half a cup of noodles. The table was sticky and no utensils at the table. Popular Vietnamese restaurant in downtown area. Dinner takeout on a busy Sunday evening. The order was a little messed up - rice instead of noodles, chicken instead of pork - that kind of thing. Quite disappointing. Ive been here several times last year and it was pretty good. Lately Ive noticed a decline in quality. Yesterdays meal sadly I did not enjoy. I ordered the 1B Filet Mignon Pho. I was given barely any noodles, the meat was almost non existent and no different than the standard beef in my girlfriend soup. Also my girlfriend ordered a side of beef balls with her soup. They added a total of 2 beef balls cut in half. The worst part though was a roach that crawled off the table. Sad, because we used to love this place, but there are much better options in the area now.

Really great, authentic place for pho in downtown Mountain View. We ordered your typical pho bowls with rare steak, beef tripe, etc and the flavors were good. We also ordered the spring roll and it was delicious. The only minor thing I didn’t like was when we ordered cafe sua da, it was not served in a Vietnamese phin filter but rather an already packaged drink (what??). Also, the price was a little expensive for 2 bowls of pho, a spring roll and 2 coffees. Overall, a good place for pho if you don’t want to drive all the way to San Jose.

Loved this place.i love spring rolls and right here the have pork and shrimp spring rolls and they are delicious. The pho broth isnt as good as Pho Saigon or House of Pho; I normally drink the entire broth but couldnt drink this one. The fried rice is good but the spicy chicken is too spicy even though the waitress said it would only be a little spicy. The vietnamese coffee is so strong we had to bring it home and dilute it with more than the same volume of milk to make it palatable. The water came during the middle of our meal but would have helped earlier with the really spicy chicken. Had to bring the chicken home and eat it with ice cream to soothe the burn.

Great food, very reasonable prices, huge portions especially the soups. The staff are extremely nice and welcoming. It is such a convenient place to have dinner at in DT Mountain View where most restaurants are crazy expensive. It is not a fancy place, but very warm and excellent for having soups in the cold weather. I tried their spring rolls, veggie rolls, chicken plate, and one of the Pho soups. All tasted great and the portions were really big.

This place is our go to! The egg noodles soup is super tasty and a great alternative to cooking at home. For $2 you can order side vegetables and a decent bowl of carrots, cabbage and broccoli turns up for you to pour into the large bowl of noodle soup. Every time I order it I feel its too good to be true! And the staff are super lovely, they say hi to my kids, which will make you a friend for life.

The place has really come alive since the new owners took over. The walls have been redecorated the and ambiance has really livened-up the atmosphere once again.What was once a dull and dated establishment has found new life with its owners. There is a TV for entertainment and the food is still the best. The only downside is the help. It has been very hectic at times, especially during peak hours, but just like any establishment that is short on help, it takes a little while to get your order. But the wait is worth it.Im glad they really fixed up the place. Its just another plus to enjoy while Im savoring their delicious food. Kudos to the owners!! Good call and good investment!

Pho small is really small. The food tastes good. You can pay separately even though you are going with friends. Super convenient for having lunch with colleagues at noon time. The place is super busy at noon and very noisy, can hardly hear the people sitting in front of you. The parking lot is just behind the restaurant, but its always safe to go early.

I know some Yelp reviews or other places mention its not super authentic Vietnamese food, but for the price and location, I think its totally fine. A nice, spacious Vietnamese restaurant with delicious food. I like to get the grilled chicken over rice with fried egg. Consistently tasty, and much better than the other place around the corner on Castro.I mean, where else do you get a yummy fried egg with your chicken? I also like the crispy spring rolls. Yes, crispy, but not soaking with oil like some other places.The pho is also tasty, the broth is rich. I just dont get this on much personally due to the carb load.Anyway, this is my go-to Vietnamese chicken place, and highly recommend to others.

Mmmmm. We got two bowls of meatball and steak pho to eat outside in the cold, it was perfect. We then came back for a strawberry and banana smoothie with pearls, which tasted a lot better than other local bubble tea joints around and they’re a PHO place. Says a lot about the quality. The regular sized pho was a good sized bowl, but didnt have a lot in there besides the broth. I would have expected a little more noodles given the size. Besides that it was a good meal. They have a large size here that is genuinely impressive at under $11.The broth itself is fine and flavorful. When you ask for the meat on the side, you can tell it was frozen just moments ago. Glad they make the broth hot and steaming, keeps the meat from overworking at its barely frozen state.The sua da here is also pretty legit as my coworkers rely on it at times to get through the day.

We get take out from here fairly often. My go to is a vermicelli bowl with bbq pork and a chopped up egg roll. The meat is always delicious and the fish sauce they give you is super tasty! This is also probably the best pho Ive ever had, at least as far as broth. Its super flavorful and rich, unlike most places. My boyfriend and our roommate usually get the chicken pho and its amazing--tonnes of broth for leftovers, and a good amount of meat and whatnot in the bowl. My only complaint is that the chicken itself seems to be a little more than boiled chicken, but everything else more than makes up for this.

A good pho starts with the broth. However, Pho To Chaus broth was very bland and lacked flavor. I ordered the chicken broth and besides a few dried onion flakes, it tasted as if it came out of a grocery store broth carton. The seafood in the pho was sparse, and the rice noodles were clumped together as if they were just put into the broth from a grocery store package. Having had Pho around the world, I would rate this place as subpar, and service as unfriendly and inattentive.

The chicken pho was ok, but there was not very much noodles or meat, however the grilled pork rice plate was terrible, the eggroll came out still cold in the middle (I assume fried from frozen), and the grilled pork was extremely thin and already barely warm by the time it reached our table. The service was good, but good service cant make up for poor food.

My husband and I visited our sons family in Mountain View, CA, for 12 days. We are from Michigan and very familiar with the healthy delicious Vietnamese cuisine for one of us was born in Vietnam. The postman told us about To Chau that didnt have a good reputation until a year ago, a new owner who is also its chief chef--a nice,and slender VNmese lady--who makes the authentic and delicious broth for Pho. She told us she cooks bones for its natural tasty broth which is the essential part of making great Pho. The other dishes are tasty; its sauces are light in both salt and sugar which is healthy. We ate at To Chau 3 times for the short time we were in M. View. Now we like to get in touch with the postman to tell him we appreciate his lead to this clean--even the restrooms--and delicious VN food.

Fast and friendly service combined with tasty food at reasonable prices makes this a solid choice for Vietnamese in Mountain View.The location is just off of Castro so parking can be a challenge at dinner time, but its walking distance from the light rail and Caltrain and MV is very bikeable, so maybe you dont need to drive.As the name suggests, their signature dish is pho, but they offer many other Vietnamese options and will customize your order to meet your dietary restrictions. They do have a small but decent vegetarian section on the menu as well.When I went with a larger group (about 12 people) they gave us shared plates of the bean sprouts, basil and jalapenos instead of one per order of pho.They also offer a decent selection of local and southeast Asian bottled beers.

The original Mtn. View pho house doesnt dissapoint. Actually getting better every year as they adapt to their customers needs. I remember when adding chicken phone was exciting. Now they have vegetarian options. You must try the Ca phé sua dá, but only if you are ready for a caffeine hit. Btw, the vermicelli plates are my favorite, and incredible chicken wings so be sure to look past the phone menu.
