Wow. I can finally find Uji Time ice cream pints here at Piazza. Uji Time used to do soft serve in San Mateo, Japan town and Berkeley, hard to find their product down south.The lychee is a must try.

Good selection of specialty foods,wines, Boar Head deli meats, fresh bread. Theyll slice bread loaves for you!! Lines were short. Check out cashiers were friendly. Plenty of parking. Prices were similar or slightly higher than Whole Foods and Sprouts.

Wow, our new favorite grocery store! Found this place on accident driving by… the produce section alone is the best we’ve seen outside of Berkeley Bowl! Whole Foods should rename to One-Tenths Foods!Ken thoroughly schooled us and gave us an excellent demo to find the perfect melon. The fresh guacamole was also one of the best I’ve ever had. Love this place!

I did the grocery shopping there yesterday. Among other things I bought these strawberries. Half the box was bad and they were the strawberries at the bottom. This is not honest business. I am very disappointed.

This is a nice little supermarket, with easy aisle navigation, logical layout, and a good selection of ready-made lunch options. We had a couple of salads, some sushi, and a deli sandwich. If you want a customized lunch you can order from the deli counter, but there are lots of premade selections. My salad was very fresh so it hadnt been in the cooler for very long.Piazzas reminds me of my favorite family-owned supermarket. I will definitely be back.Thanks folks!

Bought a meat burrito at 5:30pm. It was very bad. The brown rice was mushy and cold. The meat was dry and hard. They should never sell food like this. It was totally inedible. There were some hard rice grain that almost chipped my teeth. I ate half and threw away the rest. Please do not sell food to your valued customers if they are in such conditions. We should have went back and demanded our money back but it was not convenience to do.

I feel confident this is the best grocery store in Palo Alto, if not beyond.They have excellent produce, a fabulous deli, a burrito bar, a massive selection of cheese, the dairy selection is mind-boggling, butchers and an expanding wine area.And, the store was founded by a long-time Palo Alto family who continue to actively manage it today.The staff are great, friendly, long-lasting, professional and more.And the parking isnt too bad.Theres no bumping into each other like there is at the Palo Alto Whole Foods.And though the prices can be high, Ive found that WF is more expensive for most things, and Safeway even charges more for many things, without the feeling you are well served in a gorgeous setting.Piazzas is a local treasure we are lucky to have near.

As the ancient philosopher once said, with high prices comes great responsibility. And so to sell, for one minor but telling example, mashed potatoes at a premium and not even include an ingredient list is absurd. Not to mention the lack of any prepared foods (with a label) not tainted with highly processed seed oils. Even Whole Foods has the sense to include a handful of such options.In an age in which purity not of character but of cuisine is the emphasis, sins such as this are difficult to overlook or even understand. It appears sloppy at best and careless at worse, as if whoever is at the wheel here fell asleep decades ago.Otherwise though the store itself is lovely, the employees responsive, and the options outside the prepared foods exemplary. My advice: come for the pastries, not the meatloaf.

We love our local grocery store. I would put their Produce department at the top of the list in terms of quality. Consistently excellent. The Deli, meat, cheese, artisan bread, wine, beer, sushi, etc selection make this our go to super market on the Peninsula. Piazza’s embodies all the best in a locally run & operated business. Cashier Service has gone down. Long customer line waiting to checkout, while the lady tending cashier #6 (5:45pm, Thursday 3/2) was on her phone and chatting away with the cashier across from her. Both were not acknowledging the customers. When asked if she (cashier #6) was open, customer was greeted “of course”. No help offered with grocery bagging, and customer had to ask if it was time to pay. Big contrast from the other two cashiers that were busy helping customers while she was chatting and browsing.

We have shopped at Piazzas for about as long as I can remember. In general, everything is top notch. Today, the sweet corn selection was disappointing. Why? The offerings from their providers were not up to scratch, so they chose not to offer them. I purchased some marinated steaks and asked for extra marinade. No worries. Did they carry the marinade as a consumer product? No, they couldnt obtain it, but thus-and-so brand was very close. It is. Unlike many supermarkets, Piazzas is adequately staffed. You nearly always get a knowledgeable and helpful individual. And yes, Piazzas can be pricey. You pay for quality and service, not to mention lots and lots of parking.

Piazza’s is a beautiful store. The deli offers sandwiches, salads, burritos, sushi and the best guacamole around. The deli items are fresh, most are made to order and you can buy reheat able items like salmon, shepherds pie, beef, vegan entrees. There are good cheeses and you can buy meat to oven cook, barbecue or SOUS VIDE and they will season it for you. There is good beer and wine selection, pastries, bakery items from nearby bakers. The dairy has many organic items and some fantastic yogurts.The produce is well taken care of and all items are perfect with no bruises. The staff is friendly, wear masks and most of them are fully vaccinated, others waiting on second shot. I highly recommend this store.

Parking is a bit tight, but there is usually more open parking on the side of the store. Wonderful staff.

This is a great neighborhood grocery store. Excellent produce. Excellent customer service. Excellent selection. They are very responsive to customer feedback and requests. If you are a senior, ask for details about their senior discount. They are a good place to find some of those harder to find items. I just called to see if they had two specialty ingredients I need for a recipe. They sent someone to check the shelves to confirm that they had both. Yay! During these Covid times, I also appreciate that they have good systems in place to provide for physical distancing. Their staff continues to be friendly, despite the challenges of wearing a mask, etc. A very pleasant shopping experience. Kudos to this friendly neighborhood grocery store.

Honestly, I go here to buy lunch. Its my favorite fast food place! Excellent selection of soups, salad fixings, hot food (Mac n cheese, eggplant parmesan, chicken pot pie, etc), and an entire section of Chinese food. The Chinese food wasnt quite as good as youd get in a proper restaurant, but decent for the price. My favorite is to get a bowl of chili, and a side of fruit from the produce section. A great healthy lunch for a busy professional.

Although in the past I have really enjoyed their take out food, I’ve been disappointed the last couple of times I’ve bought a selection from their food bar. The salad I had today was way below par. It tasted slightly rotten. When I put my glasses on I could see why. The kale leaves as well as the nuts we’re slimey and that was not due to the dressing. The oranges were smashed to a pulp, almost beyond recognition.The take out from the hot food section was not much better. The barbecued meat was grisly and too fatty.I don’t think i will return. Really didnt expect this from Piazza. I’ve shopped there since it opened and feel disappointed, especially since the take out is quite pricey.

If you ever stand in line at the Safeway and think, Id pay good money for faster checkout and a more pleasant experience, then this place is for you. The shelves are always stocked full, the staff is super friendly, and I dont think Ive ever waited in line more than a minute (plus you can use your phone to checkout, whereas its pretty much always broken at the Safeway). But have your credit history and mortgage application paperwork ready if you want an avocado... its expensive.

With a variety of fresh produce, snacks, organics, and and even buffets/fresh food, Piazzas definitely contains all the items that one could find even in a supermarket. This place is expensive and you probably shouldnt do all your shopping here. The staff is incredible and the product you can get is rare. Real prosciutto, grass fed wagyu, etc. The staff will find a way to get their hands on something if you want it. I ordered a whole side of bone in grass fed wagyu ribeye and they were able to get it to me. Theyll also custom age steaks. The cheese selection is also out of this world. This is a grocery store for the wealthy foodie

This market actually was expencive, but really a very good place 3 years ago. I do not come there often, but I see, that it is not that nice any more. When I took some regular oranges, cashier counted them as organic and the most expencive, several times I picked meat, that was already rotten(expires in a week, yes of course), cheeses now smell like they were kept in or just were too close to new trash bags, and tulips, bunch of 10, were actually 9, and too old to keep petals on the way home... Prices are higher, then in whole foods, but far not that quality. Production seems to be good itself, but its maintainance not! I often go to Mountain View for groceries, may be, all Palo Alto will do that soon...

Just found this store today, less than a mile away. First thing to notice on the way into the store is the outdoor produce display. Right away it was evident that the produce was higher quality than our other neighborhood chain store. Inside the first bench held store made salsa and guacamole. The decision to buy was facilitated by samples. Great assortment of imported and interesting cheeses was next - with samples. I came away with a lump of Double Gloucester, some 2 year old Irish cheddar and La Grota del Sol Tres Leches. Found Labne Kefir. First time I have seen it since moving here last summer. Have been looking as it was common in Socal. The store is a bit pricey, so maybe not for everything, but Ill be back.

As i was waiting in a single line today behind few people, they opened a new cashier and the person behind me rushed to the cashier. I went there and told this person that the first person in line should have been served. and you know what: the employee shot at me that i should read the sign saying we shouldnt form a single line. (1) i couldnt see the sign and (2) in courtesy to previous people waiting in a single line, i joined the single line. being yelled at by an employee when i do nothing wrong is unpleasant. I told this employee i would not shop there anymore and they answered we dont need you, we have many customers here. well, im glad. good luck Piazza. My neighborhood markets quality is dipping. Theyve got my Kombucha selection but their bread is ALWAYS moldy. If I walked in right now and picked a section I would find obvious mold on any of the bread. Secondly, why cant they sweep their floors? Even Safeways floors are cleaner. They used to have someone who swept and left piles of dirt in the aisles. Now theyve just abandoned sweeping altogether.

Piazzas Fine Food is very insensitive to senior citizens who cannot help themselves. During these unprecedented time, Piazzas turned away individuals with proof of shopping for senior citizens that could not do for themselves. Many of us who try to support our seniors have are own responsibilities. I am on the front Iine at the hospital and was late today because I was forced to seek out an establishment that would allow us to assist seniors. Kudos to Safeway and Whole foods, who did understand the importance of someone like me and expressed it with a thank you for what you do. SHAME ON PIAZZAS.

I was passing through and a friend and I stoped to get some drinks and a few snacks. After walking around the store and getting everything we needed we proceeded to the register. The gentleman scanned my items and I then I turn ran my card. I was then informed in a very condescending fashion that they do not accept EBT. The staff was very rude, and I will discourage anyone from shopping with this organization.
