The food was okay. However, the customer service omitted a rushed feeling and when me and my family sat down to eat, the people that worked there watched us eat the food, that felt a little suspicious. We had to constantly call someone over to order or ask for drinks. Also the visual appeal was not up to par. Hanging wired everywhere, not very clean, dirty dishes stacked up by the restrooms. Smh.

They missed on a couple counts on this visit, though theyve been better previously (which is why Im giving 3 stars instead of 2. Take a look at the pics. I ordered the Firecracker chicken and asked for no onions, and it was on the ticket, but they still put the onions in the dish. I didnt want to bother having them remake is, so I just picked the onions off, but thats disappointing. Also, the dude said he would come out and wipe off the tables, which were all not clean, and no one ever came. So thats a miss, too. The rest of the meal was as expected.

Kung pao chicken and firecracker shrimp were good. I personally don’t like the noodles that much as they seem to contain more sodium than the noodles at other American Chinese restaurants.Consider the steamed rice if you want lower sodium.

Price seemed really high for the quality of the food. Kind of a weird flavor in Kung Pao /chow mein. Hardly a veggie at all anywhere. Egg rolls were the best part. Saw the cooks working hard, but took a while. Why not go back to panda express style.

BEST orange chicken lightly done in wok ..crisply, to your order w yummy brown rice. Lingering Chinese flavors are so good. Fair pricing. Fortune cookies are thinner than before and have less flavor. If we are ever close by, you will find us there. Nice people-watching, corner, outside seating. Luv it.

I have always enjoyed the best quality food and flavors Pick Up Sticks seems to cook up. Nice location in the Riverside Plaza area located next to the appropriately priced Regal Theaters. Plus, both the restaurant and theater have equally awesome customer service.

Normally we live Pick Up Stix,But this time around at the Riverside location honestly disappointed us.The egg fried rice was so oily and every other time it has loads of fresh sprouts that are crispy and delicious, this time however was lacking in all regards.The chicken dumplings were mediocre and they gave no sauce with the order, so I had to go back in to request sauces.The spring rolls were the saving grace for the whole meal, without those it would have been a one star review but honestly they were done perfectly.We also tried the chicken with basil and cashew sauce, not terrible but the chicken seemed bland and a over cooked so it gave it a tough texture.This was a quick trip to Riverside to go to the night Market (also underwhelming unfortunately, there was a few good vendors and a beer garden but thats for another review)Anyway, first time to this spot and unfortunately this will be our last.

Unfortunately, this company and this location have gone downhill. Customer service is no longer a focus. If you have an ingredient on hand (which they did) and you don’t want to customize an order for a customer (that is willing to pay for it) then it shows how much you value your patrons. Restroom did not have toilet paper or toilet seat covers. Every single visit is a new disappointment. It’s a shame but I’ll be taking my business somewhere else from this point forward.

Food is ok, could be better given the price. A little too much soy sauce but is still good. The portions are lacking given the price. I ordered a portion of Kung Pao Chicken with chow mein and ended paying almost $17. I understand that this one may be more expensive because of the location but as a customer I didnt feel i got what i paid for. The bathroom had dirty towels everywhere and no soap in the dispenser. I hope to come back but want better service.

Ordering delivery used to be great not anymore. Before when you ordered they nicely packaged each item in their own container that kept the food pretty warm. Now.... they deliver their food in cheap white containers. They have no dividers to separate the items. Im a mom of 2 bd feeding a toddler who only likes certain things is such a challenge! But she loves chow mein! So I paid the extra to have it as a side just for her. Well now that they just throw all your food into one open container all the Kong pow sauce got all over the chow mein making it entirely way too hot for her to eat!! Both dishes ordered were soggy and barely being held in the container. What a way to treat your customers. Even if Ordering delivery our food be presented nicely and not all mixed in together. I wont be Ordering from again if this is how my food is going to be handled. Thanks for making a mom trying to take a break for the work even harder at dinner time....

I really did want to like this place, but I just can’t give any more than two stars. The bathroom was full of puke and had dirty walls. Much of my food was inedible because of how salty it was — in particular, the vegetables of all things. My companion sent his meal back to the kitchen because the chicken tasted out-of-date. I’m including a point or two for the kind staff, but unfortunately my score for this place got tanked by the bad food.

I like the House Fried Rice and like it on top of the crispy noodles for the taste and texture. They don’t give out crispy noodles anymore unless you order the soup. Even before this, they were stingy with the noodles compared to other locations. It is just not as good so without the noodles so I am done with this location. I have been coming here since they opened but not worth it now.

On Memorial Day around 4:00 I had placed an order for a Signature salad with BROWN rice. When I went to pick it up the girl read the receipt but said WHITE rice. When I brought it to her attention that it was suppose to be BROWN rice she corrected herself n assured me it was BROWN rice. Since I was picking up food at other fast food places I did not have time to check it in her presence. My mistake because it was WHITE rice as she stated. Besides that the salad looked like they threw it in the container, no mandarin oranges, half the normal portion but still the same price. As far as I am concerned there was no excuse for the way the food was prepared, especially when it wasn’t even busy. There were 2,ppl eating inside at the time n the phone was not ringing off the hook. The quality of help these days is hurting businesses, especially fast food restaurants. These young ppl just DONT care about service

Went to lunch here. Co-workers had a buy one get one so came out to a good deal. Food was fine yet a little heavy on the sauces for the house chicken and the chicken pieces are on the small side too. Overall not a bad deal, patio dining was the only option to eat there as indoor dining isnt yet an option.

The food was prepared to order in an open kitchen setting, served over the counter. I took my plate and sat outside, the setting was simple and nice. I was hungry and ready to enjoy my dinner. Unfortunately, I did not. The chicken vegetable with rise dinner plate that I ordered was disappointing. The sauce was apparently over-thickened with starch, it had a heavy starchy kind of taste. The chicken appeared unnaturally too white, flavorless with some unpleasant smell and taste.

I have a thing for their house chicken. Its so good. Ill go to get an order of fried rice, house chicken, spring rolls and wonton soup when I want a meal. It only runs me like $20 which isnt too bad for a filling meal. I cant speak to many of their other items since I pretty much stick to the tried and true when I go, but I stick by it. Its good food.

We ordered our food last night Saturday April 10th 2021 we picked our food On time. Our food was completely disgusting the noodles came out of the Box in a square gelatin form they were they were cold We paid for extra Chicken in our 2 entrees and Didnt receive the chicken nor the Brown rice we ordered. The chicken was mushy and cold it also came out of the boxes in a mush. When we called the store to speak to the manager we were told he was too busy And could not assist us with new fresh food nor refund I was to call back and speak to the manager in the morning. When my husband called to speak to the manager in the morning she was in complete denial not one time did she apologise for the food nor the manager for last nights lack of customer service because her lack of customer service rivalled his she defended the much she did not want to see the pictures she gave us the excuse that they were too busy in sometimes food sits which is completely unacceptable she kept trying to talk around giving us a refund because thats all we wanted as soon as we said we will just call corporate she decided she would give us our refund still defending the cold Food she even asked us what size food our chicken came in so she new if we were given extra chicken she agreed when we told her that we Were given smalle boxes that we did not receive our extra chicken we paid for and still she defended this. If I could give this store a negative star I would the food is disgusting the management is in denial And you have to threaten to call corporate to get a refund.

Absolutely horrible experience. My husband and I have been coming to this location for YEARS. We tried to call in the order and the phone was busy the entire time. Drove 30 minutes to order in person. When we got inside, the lady asked if we were there for pick up and my husband said “no, Your phone is busy”.She looked at the phone beeping red and did nothing. Everything my husband ordered the staff was very rude and kept saying “well, that’s gonna be 10 minutes”. And my husband kept saying that’s fine. The staff- even the cook, was very rude and irritated that we ordered the Bourbon chicken.We left to walk around Vons to wait for our order. When my husband came back to get our order, someone from the back came out and basically threw the food in a bag and just basically threw the bag at him. He was irritated that my husband asked for chili paste and soy sauce.I will not come back here, nor would I recommend this location. This has been our go to place for years, but unfortunately, their customer service has seriously gone down hill.Daniela was the lady who took the order- very very rude.

I walked in with a party of four expecting to order the family meal, waited in front of the counter looking at the staff & the menu atop. We waited for a greeting, acknowledgement that we arrived from someone...nothing. The gentleman besides the cook or cooks was too busy handling food plates/orders, something else more important. We walked out & took our business & appetite somewhere else. This was my second visit (1st was pleasant) & last.Your incompetence just showed. Lets see: greet customers as they arrive/approach the counter. If the employees are busy, train them to apologize to customers for the delay & that theyll be with them in a moment. These small steps is good customer service that go a long way.

One of the worst things about moving away from Southern California is the lack of pick up Stix! The freshness, flavors, etc cannot be recreated.I’m not saying this is the best Asian food out there, I’m saying this is the best Wok place that’s ever existed! Noodles arent good as before. Been ordering their chow mein once in a while since like 2008 and noticed their quality has slowly declined. Noodles used to be thicker, saucier, and served in a larger box. Today I had their chicken chow mein and it will be the last time I ever eat from this place again. Very disappointed at how bad it has become. Noodles were dry, some spots had no sauce, and mostly flavorless. The chicken tasted more like startch than chicken. I used to be obsessed with this place and sad that theyve changed so much... Bring the old stuff back.

I commented on the wait and she gave me a blank look and asked me if I wanted anything. Today, 4/6/17, we went into this pick up stix because of my sons shop riverside discount. When we had ordered our two chicken entees, the waiter offered us four different choices for sides. White rice, brown rice, chow mein, or fried rice. Without mentioning the additional charge for chow mein or fried rice, we ordered both for the chicken entrees. Later, waiting for our food we noticed the additional 1.99 they charged for our chicken entrees. We went to the manager and he acted as if it was our fault for not noticing the additional 1.99 and that they did nothing wrong. I have never seen this outrageously rude customer service in my life. I was very disappointed and will most likely never go back. Please be aware when ordering with your shop riverside card.

Well checked out riverside plaza, paid 40$ for 2 shrimp, 1 tofu and one veggie. 6/ 22 got tofu and 3 veggie. Had receipts from both bag and purse. I was so hoping that things would be better when the Riverside Plaza location got remodeled, but theyve had their last chance.My husband was in today and placed a to go order for the two of us. Mongolian beef for him, and Bourbon chicken with vegetables for me.Just a few hours after he ate his beef, he was doing the Porcelain Two-Step.I had saved mine to warm up for dinner (dont even TRY warming these up. Who makes Chinese food that you cant warm up?!?!?). My entree, which Ive eaten before, had such a dry unpleasant taste that I wonder if I will be his dance partner later.I swore before the remodel that Id given them their last chance to make tasty food, but now its back to Mr. China Express for me.

This is a good location to both eat in at and to order take out from. The only problem as with the rest of the mall is the parking. We arrived and ordered the food. I went out to the car and when I returned the employee thought I was going to use his bathroom and behaved in a very rude manner. Terrible service, I will not return to this place. The employee in front thinks hes doing you a favor.
